The purpose of this study is to investigate the perception of elementary students' 'global environment'. The research method used the Sementic Network Analysis method of the global environment elements which appeared in the students' explanation about the picture and the picture that emerged about the 'global environment'. The results of the study are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the students' explanation of the pictures along with the pictures of the students, the elementary students were perceived negatively about the global environment such as 'environmental pollution', 'global warming' and 'trash problem'. Second, as a result of analyzing the image of the global environment expressed in the picture, there were many images expressed from a everyday viewpoint rather than a macroscopic viewpoint, and there was a tendency to express the earth personified. In addition, the picture expressing the clean earth environment expressed the most trees with natural environment elements and expressed the healthy earth with various natural elements such as sea, mountain, and land. Third, as a result of analyzing the difference of perception of global environment by grade, it was found that the difference of perception of global environment by grade was not much different.

In the rapidly advancing modern world, Fashion Illustrations are being utilized in various aspects of art and industrial works. Fashion illustrations are especially useful in fields like trend books thats show advanced trends where photographs are difficult to be utilized due to the fact the real object does not exist. Both the academic and industrial worlds have realized the importance of Fashion illustration and have started to study the field as a way of expressing the general image of a costume rather than a diagram for making clothes. The focus of this study is on Fashion illustrations using Photo Montages that express modern fashion using various and unique textures. The study is composed of a literature review on Fashion illustration and Photo Montages. and five work pieces are made focusing on expressing compounded images.

With development of digital technology and build-up of global network in the 21st century, Korea has recklessly accepted Western information and culture in recent years, thus causing damages to out identity. In the situation, restoration and development of traditions in a modern way will contribute to the creation of contemporary interiors. This study has analyzed and assessed the process through which traditional decorative elements have applied to contemporary interior decorations over the past ten years with a view to identify the trend of expressing traditional elements in comtemporary interiors. Designs that have applied traditional elements in a transfigure expression method amounted to 77 pieces, accounting for $43\%$ of the total investigated 178 designs, which was followed by 48 designs ($27\%$) of metaphor expression method and 39 designs ($22\%$) of symbol expression method, which express the tradition as interpreted by the designer. Designs that have adopted direct expression method amounted to no more than 14 pieces, accounting only for $8\%$ of the total designs. This result suggests that transformative, metaphoric and symbolic expressions that simplify or transform the original forms we more frequently used In the applications of traditional elements to modern interiors rather than directive expression that reproduces the original form as it was.

By knowledge-based approach, the SDG(Signed Directed Graph) is automatically synthesized, which is commonly used to represent the causal effects between process variables. Automatic synthesis of SDG is progressed by two steps : (1)inference step uses knowledge base and (2)verification step uses Loop-Verifier. First, Topology and Knowledge Base are constructed by using the information on equipment. And then, Primary-SDG is synthesized by Character Pattern Matching between Variable-Relation-Representation generated by using Topology and Variable-Tendency-Data contained in Knowledge Base. Finally, a modified SDG is made after the Primary-SDG is verified by Loop-Verifier.

Comics has three components: cuts, gap between cuts, speech balloons. Still, it is true that speech balloons are not commonly subject to the study for comics. A few preceding researches pinpoint exactly the morphological features and functions of speech balloons. In today when webtoon becomes generalized, these features and functions are continued as they are and are used in webtoon. We can catch that speech balloons are also affected since the environmental elements of web induce the change in the overall comics directing. There are two perspectives to sort out the features of speech balloons: first, the placement issue of speech balloons. The unlimited expansion of web space gives the environment for comicss to use the gap between cuts as wide as they can. It leads to turn out some of the ways to place the balloons, so we can sort them out general placement, exterior placement, the upper and lower placement, scroll-use type. Second, as the directing techniques for webtoon become digitalized by the morphological issue, speech balloon itself has been expanded its ways to express by various expression methods. Analyzing and classifying, recording the newly emerged conditions on the preceding study are worthy of trying and will become the cornerstone for the follow research.

현재 컴포넌트 기반 소프트웨어 엔지니어링의 접근은 소프트웨어 컴포넌트 인터페이스 디자인과 실행에 중심을 둔 경향이다. 컴포넌트 기반 소프트웨어 개발을 하기 위하여, 전체 시스템을 분석하는 것은 복잡하고, 이해하기 어렵다. 이를 위하여 aspect 기반 컴포넌트 개발방법을 도입한다. Aspect 기반 개발에서는 필요로 하는 컴포넌트를 표현하기 위하여 provide 와 require 를 사용한다. 또한 Aspect 기반 컴포넌트 엔지니어링을 위하여 컴포넌트 사이의 provide/require 서비스에 대한 분류와 추론을 위하여 다른 컴포넌트와 함께 이용할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 개발자들은 전체 시스템 개발을 위해 필요로 하는 적합한 컴포넌트의 provide/require 을 사용하여 접근하기 때문에 컴포넌트 검색, 합성, 재사용에 도움을 줄 수 있다. 컴포넌트 aspect 정보의 확장을 위하여 XML 문서 포맷을 사용함으로써 서로 다른 환경에서도 사용할 수 있도록 명세 하였다.

Persuasion is one of the attractive channels to enhance the relation between markerters and consumers and deliver the true communication on products to the consumers. This arctic tried to examine the symbolic meaning system as a way of maximizing the visual communicational effect of persuasion, the efforts of marketers who are trying to utilize the psychology of the mass that consume the symbol rather than products and the symbol system as a mean of propaganda were analyzed as well. People in modern age, in general, place more value on the emotional assoessibility than the efficiency of the product, As a result, the ways of expression of propaganda approaching the mass are in the process of gradual change, which was another theme this article tried to explore. Ames sied that the human preoeption has a tendency to perceive things in some organized pattern, which can be applied to even untransparable and meaningless image. Human beings don't perceive what there is but what, thery believe there to be, and his peroeption are channelized by the opportunity of the past, his peroeption are channelized by the opportunity of the past, his experience of the environment, and the history of learning. To say another word, people not only recognize the objective form but also accept the inside meaning of the visual object. Their reponse to the visual object, therefore, include personal cognition, judgment, and attitued. The communication in visual design reveals the culture, society, and art in a complex symbol, and make synthetic cultural interpretation possible. It's pretty attractive, effective, and reasonable method to use symbolic meaning system as a way of persuasion. It is because communication means whole process from receiving and delivering the information and message to making common meaning system, to measuring the effect of the behavior change.

Today, the expansion of the possibility of new expressions of plastic arts is largely due to emergence and application of new materials. In the field of flower design, it is found that there is a tendency to seek a new expression by utilizing various new materials instead of natural material that used in the past. This study is an attempt of applying methodological approach in the creation of floral art works utilizing the characteristics of contemporary materials in such context. The researcher gathered cases of specific effect and sensation in the expression of art works using various contemporary materials and extracted the characteristics using descriptive sentences applying behavior setting analysis technique. Reporting detailed result of the research total 100 guidelines under 41 sub-categories, 24 mid-categories, and 6 top categories such as transparency, lighting, combination of objects, combination of materials, reflection, shape construction. The researcher tested the effectiveness of the theories by applying deducted theories as the guidelines in creation process of her own floral art works. The significance of this study lies at experimenting the possibilities of applying methodological approach which could supplement intuitive approach in pursuit of expression for artists in the field of floral art and design.

Minimal architecture is generally expressed in a simple and pure form, this characteristic of minimal architecture was first introduced by the architect, Mies Van der Roche, in the beginning of 20th century. The objective of this study is to identify wether minimal architecture is just a reappearance of the beginning of 20th century's modern architecture or a suitable form for contemporary aesthetics. As a result, it can be concluded that minimal architecture is based on human emotion and one's experienced perception which is very different from the modern architecture which is more focused on functionality and mechanical esthetics. Minimal architecture uses two systems which are multi-sensual perception and conceptual perception; however, it focuses more on conceptual perception which is also used in comtemporary architecture. In conclusion, simplicity is just one of the necessary conditions which is not sufficient enough to represent minimal architecture.

The purpose of this study is to figure out the tendency of tunnel convergence during excavation and to present a methodology for the prediction of a fault zone ahead of a tunnel face by analyzing three dimensional displacements in various ways. 3-D numerical analysis was performed to investigate changes of tunnel convergence vectors near a fault zone and to propose a flow chart for predicting fault zones. Results of the site investigation and results of trend line analysis of in-situ data were compared to verify the usefulness of a trend line analysis. It is concluded that the orientation of faults can be predicted by using stereonets and the direction of initial stresses can be predicted from the arm length of a displacement vector as a tunnel approaches fault zones. The results of the trend line analysis coincided with those of the site investigation, and a methodology for the prediction of a fault zone was proposed.
