배전용 폴리머 라인 포스트 애자 금형의 불량과 대책에 관한 연구 (A study on the defects of molds for distribution polymer line post insulators and problem-solving measures)

  • In this study, an injection mold is made to produce polymer line post insulators. FRP (fiber reinforced plastics) is covered by silicone housing. In injection molding process, chances for offcenter are 60 percent. Given the structure of the product, offcenter occurs owing to the imbalances in positions of gates and improper -designs of cores and jigs. This study focuses on mold modifications and improvements.

  • In our country, the housing materials of polymeric outdoor insulators have mainly been used EPDM or silicone rubber. EPDM housing materials had been widely used in the field for the first time. The reason why silicone has the high cost of production. But recently, most of the manufacturers that newly developed polymeric insulators make its choice of silicone housing. EPDM showed a good resistance to tracking. We compared the various characteristics for EPDM and silicone insulators that have similar type and design. Silicone insulators have more performance in flashover voltage test and leakage current measurement because of a good water repellent than EPDM ones. Also, the property of EPDM compared with silicone insulators greatly decreased after aging test in combined acceleration ageing facilities for 1000 hours.

폴리머 애자의 내전압 특성에 따른 부분방전 측정과 자외선 검출 (PD Measure and UV Detection in according to Withstand Voltage Characteristics of Polymer Insulator)

  • The purposes of this paper ensure for the economical efficiency, accuracy, and good applications in domestic site set up the power installations. For the efficient conduct of these purposes, there are measured the partial discharge(PD) used by current probe and compared with detected signal of UV sensor. As the results, PD generated about 35% of breakdown voltage in polymer insulator. UV signal due to high voltage in polymer insulator is detected from about 1.7mV at 30kV to about 3mV at 70kV. Signal detected by ultra-sonic is increased at about 75% of breakdown voltage abruptly. It appears that error range is increased in boundary. UV sensor is needed must use from the practical and economical points of view.

  • FRP has been used very much as high strength core materials for insulators because of its high strength and good insulation properties. In this study cantilever, tension and torsion stress were simulation along to the unidirection glass fiber. In addition, FRP was made by pultrusion method. This paper proposed the procedure of the finite element model updating and pretest using the commerical finite element code MSC.Nastran. To ehance the efficiency of experimental modal analysis, we proposed the process which is the selection of the locations and the number of measurement points for pre-test.

  • Recently polymer composite materials has been replacing the porcelain in suspension insulators as a insulating material. The polymer composite materials are introduced into Korea from the abroad, so there is, actually, no formal standard of assessment Both the porcelain insulator specifications and composite material test specifications are being used at the same time. The aim of this project is to establish a systematic standard suitable to current situations considering the trends of its production within Korea. This would protect the inner-markets against the market-opening and would promote the industrial development within a country.

  • Suspension insulator have made use of porcelain insulator mainly, but polymer insulator is using recently. Polymer suspension insulator have advantage that it is light than porcelain insulator. The ageing performance is excellent and it is possible for mass production. There is high possibility of mountain fire because a lot of potential inflammables such as fallen leaves are stacked on the ground Therefore surface aging of polymer insulator most of the overhead transmission lines in Korea are operated on the mountain need analysis of transmission line into forest fire. surface aging property is analyzed by SEM, EDX, XPS, FTIR, DSC in this paper.

  • The result was estimated on the fractal characteristics as possibilities of identification of manufacture state for long period stabilities. At the second, the dangerous area was easily found to the recurrent phenomena of FD output. However, such area is very difficult to analysis of mechanism and to predict the lifetime in present state, it is possible to discriminate by means of data accumulation.

  • The forest fire simulation tests were performed with polymer and porcelain insulators at Gochang testing center. These tests consisted of energizing 90 kV at line-to-ground voltage of 154 kV lines and open flame rising up to $600-630^{\circ}C$ as being measured at insulator surface. Mechanical and electrical characteristics such as specific mechanical load, leakage current, low frequency dry flashover voltage and impulse flashover voltage were analyzed for the polymer insulators before, during and after simulation tests compared with porcelain insulators. At the end of fire simulation tests, there was no detrimental deterioration of any insulators. All insulators passed the criteria of KEPCO specification. This study showed that forest fire simulation had no impact on polymer insulators.

  • 실리콘 고무는 옥외용 폴리머 애자 또는 부싱 등에 주로 사용되고 있으며, 이에 대한 연구가 많이 진행되어 지고 있다. 최근에는 나노 기술이 발달함에 따라 전기 재료에 나노 사이즈의 필러를 첨가하여 재료의 특정 특성들을 향상시키는 연구들이 진행되어 지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 전기적인 성능을 향상시키고자 나노 사이즈의 $Al_2O_3$를 첨가한 상온 경화형 실리콘 고무에 대한 연구를 진행하였으며, DC 전계와 오염 상황 하에서 연면 파괴 강도를 측정하였으며, 접촉각과 표면 저향률을 측정하였다. 실험 결과, 필러 함량이 증가할수록 연면 절연 파괴 강도와 표면 저항률은 증가하였으며 접촉각은 감소하였다. 또한, 일정 함량 이상에서는 연면 절연 파괴 강도와 표면 저항율이 감소하는 것으로 나타났다.

옥외에서 사용되는 배전급 폴리머 현수애자의 오손특성에 관한 연구

  • Because they have superior insulating properties and lower in price than their ceramic equivalents, polymeric insulators have been used in outdoor insulators. But polymeric insulators mainly using in an heavy contamination area of outdoor could be easily attached to contaminants such as salt and by-products of industrial processes. To understand its effect on contaminants adhered to these insulators, we dismounted polymeric insulators adhered contaminant in the field, and evaluated its electrical characteristics, CA, and ESDD. We also manufactured slurry mixed by some kaolin and salt for the artificial contamination test and measured the degree of contaminant, AC leakage current for these contaminated samples. Consequently, the adhered contaminants to its surface is likely to be affected the performance of insulation.
