The fashion industry is considered hazardous and a threatened to the environment. Due the negative perception, the industry should focus on sustainability as a social role. Therefore, several redesign fashion collaborations mainly focusing on renewing abandoned resources are already in place. The research method was based on previous studies, and 3 characteristics were derived: Redesign collaboration between fashion companies, Redesign collaboration between fashion & heterogeneous industries, and Redesign collaboration between the fashion industry & non-profit organizations. Those 3 characteristics were reviewed using 4 criteria. First, to establish and maximize the sustainable brand image and to be the best examples in environmental management, the organization endeavors to collaborate with various industries, institutions, and designers. Second is the expansion of the customer network through the spread of value consumption. Third is the creation of new values through a resource circulation structure. This means that the resource circulation structure system helps the partners to minimize on wastage. Fourth is the spread of de-boundary lines and the possibility of brand growth. Through collaboration with other industries, the boundaries of materials used in the fashion industry started to blur, thus expanding the continuous brand growth potential. The study derived the characteristics of redesign collaboration by systematically analyzing the cases. Further, the study looks forward to analyzing the characteristics of the products processed by redesign fashion collaborations in future research.
The purpose of this study is to examine and categorize the cases of luxury fashion brands and art collaboration and find out their effects. The research method examined the theoretical background of luxury fashion brand and art collaboration and proceeded with content analysis through major cases. The research results were classified into the following two types through case analysis. The first is art collaboration for product design, and the second type is art collaboration for exhibition works. Content analysis according to type was organized from the perspective of brands and artists, respectively, and the resulting collaboration effect was finally derived. The main effects are the integration of design and art, diversification of social and cultural backgrounds, and innovative vision of expression. This study is meaningful in examining the expanded design methods and effects of luxury fashion brands through grafting artworks and presenting basic data for future fashion art collaboration design research.

Recently, global luxury fashion brands such as Gucci, Saint Laurent, and Louis Vuitton have been showing special interest in Korean contemporary artists and actively collaborating with them. This can be said to be a new change that is distinguished from previous collaborations of fashion brands. Therefore, this study investigated the cases of collaboration between global luxury fashion brands and Korean contemporary artists, and analyzed the types and characteristics to examine the trends and characteristics and draw meaning. As a result, fashion brands combine the characteristics of Korean art works of various genres with the brand concept and pursued values to create new sensibility and high value-added products. It can be seen that the intention was to prepare a place to draw out. In addition, it was found that collaboration was also utilized in terms of marketing so that domestic customers could visit the brand store with a sense of familiarity by utilizing Korea's artistic and cultural sentiments. Based on the results of this study, we intend to provide basic data for the development of creative contents for various collaborations between fashion and art that can help develop the modern fashion industry.

This study examines the effects of brand belief of a mass offline retailer on the perceived value, attitude, and purchase intention toward the products of emerging fashion designer brands in the context of marketing collaborations between emerging fashion designer brands and a mass offline retailer. We invited 198 adults aged 20 to 59 to an online survey who were asked to read a news article and respond to a questionnaire. The results of structural equation modeling show that brand belief of a mass offline retailer positively influences the perceived value of the products of emerging fashion designer brands. The perceived value also positively influences the attitude toward the products that subsequently enhances purchase intention. The findings suggest that emerging fashion designer brands should strategically select a mass offline retailer as their collaboration partner by considering consumer perceptions of the retailer brand because the brand belief of the retailer may have a halo effect on a consumer evaluation of the products of emerging fashion designer brands.

A questionnaire was developed by the researchers and results were collected from a total of 273 people who were working for a fashion company or working as an artist. Data was analyzed by the use of a frequency test, a reliability test, an exploratory factor analysis and a structure equation model analysis using AMOS 18.0. The results of the study were as follow. First, profitability and adequacy had significant effects, but awareness had no effect on confidence concerning the partnership. Second, awareness and profitability showed significant effects, but adequacy showed no effect on the flow among those in the partnership. Third, confidence had a significant effect on flow. Fourth, among the partnership factors, confidence and flow had significant effects on partnership satisfaction.

Product development and marketing that appeal to consumer emotions are important as shown by a variety of product and service industries that integrate fashion and arts into product design and marketing through collaboration. This study attempted to analyze the patterns in the collaborations of fashion and arts across industry disciplines. A total of 278 collaboration cases reported in news articles were collected from internet databases. Cases were categorized into 5 disciplines of fashion-fashion, arts-arts, fashion-arts, fashion-other industries, and arts-other industries, with each category analyzed in frequency distribution and collaboration type along with related partner and industry characteristics. Collaborations with other industries were observed more than internal ones, and individuals (rather than firms) were more involved in collaborations. Though the collaboration characteristics were different by partner category and sub-category, by individual or firm, and by related industries, a variety of collaborations integrating fashion and arts into product design and development, a new brand launching, product line extension, and co-marketing were observed across product and industry disciplines. The study also described fashion and arts that were integrated into consumer life styles.
Lil Miquela, who appeared on social media in 2016, is one of the most popular virtual influencers. In particular, Miquela is having a great impact on society by continuing to collaborate with many fashion brands through Instagram. As the activity of virtual influencers is emerging today, this study aims to derive the meanings of contemporary fashion through analyzing Miquela's social media case. This study analyzed Miquela's Instagram posts as research subjects. As a result of the above analysis, it was possible to classify the methods and devices for expressing fashion in Miquela's social media into three categories: storytelling, reality, and tags & hyperlinks. In addition, the meanings of fashion could be derived from three aspects: the object of experience, the direction of technology, and the realization of the spirit of the times.
