Development of BIM Templates for Vest-Pocket Park Landscape Design (소공원의 조경설계를 위한 BIM 템플릿 개발)

  • A BIM, which is being applied actively to the construction and civil construction industries, is a technology that can maximize efficiency of various sectors from initial planning and design, construction, and maintenance, to demolition; however, it is in the introductory phase in the field of domestic landscaping. In order to introduce and promote BIM in the field of landscape design, this study developed a prototype of a library and template and analyzed the performance of trial application. For the development of a prototype, annotations and types were analyzed from floor plans of existing small parks, and components of landscape template were deduced. Based on this, play facilities, pergola, and benches were madeintofamily and templates, making automatic design possible. In addition, annotations and tags that are often used in landscape design were made, and a 3D view was materialized through visibility/graphic reassignment. As for tables and quantities, boundary stone table, mounding table, summary sheet of quantities, table of contents, and summary sheet of packaging quantities were grouped and connected with floor plans; regarding landscaping trees, classification criteria and name of trees that are suitable for domestic situations were applied. A landscape template was created to enable the library file format(rfa) that can be mounted on a building with BIM programs. As for problems that arose after the trial application of the prepared template, some CAD files could not be imported; also, while writing tables, the basis of calculation could not be made automatically. Regarding this, it is thought that functions of a BIM program and template need improvement.

Developing a Classification Matrix of Intelligent Geospatial Information Services (지능형 공간정보 서비스 분류 매트릭스)

  • Geospatial information, which deeply has an effect on our life, have been evolved as intelligent geospatial information in Ubiquitous era. Also, Various services are introduced using the intelligent geospatial information. However, there is no classification system, for understanding the intelligent geospatial information services, considering any developers and users. It needs to be classification system to classify these services. In this paper, we introduced a concept of intelligent geospatial information and developed a service classification matrix regarding to the features of the services. This service classification matrix has three scales; service domain, service intelligent level, and geo-location accuracy. The propose of this matrix can be utilized in two aspects. First, the matrix can improve the reality that doesn't reflect actual demands for the services. Second, the matrix can present the goal of the new services or the development direction. The matrix can be utilized to the geospatial industry as creating the new blue ocean services. However, the service classification matrix needs to modify and complement to have no anything wrong when the various services are applied to the matrix. In the long run, the matrix has to be utilized as a material to make out a service roadmap or TRM(Technical Reference Model).

Solitary Wave-like Ship Induced Waves and Its Associated Currents in a Water Channel of Narrow Width (협수로에서 생성되는 고립파 형태의 항주파와 항주파류)

  • In the narrow water channel, which has been frequently deployed in the artificial canal in the South Korea due to the lack of available land, solitary wave type ship induced waves can occur. In order to test this hypothetical view, we carried out the numerical simulation. Numerical model consists of Navier-Stokes Equations and VOF, and the verification is implemented using the data by PIANC (1987) and the analytical model derived in this study. It was shown that numerically simulated front wave height are much larger than the one by PIANC (1987), and the fluctuation of free surface near the channel bank persists much longer (around 20s). For the case of stern waves, numerically simulated wave height are somewhat smaller than the data by PIANC (1987). These results seriously deviates from the general characteristics of ship induced waves observed in the wide water channels, and leads us to conclude that ship induced waves is severely affected by the width of water channel. It was also shown that the currents from the channel banks toward a ship, and currents from the ship toward the channel banks are alternatively occurring due to reflection at the channel banks. The velocity of currents reaches its maximum at 0.90 m/s, and these values are sustained through the entire depth. which implies that severe scourings at the channel bottom can be underway.

Development for the function of Wind wave Damage Estimation at the Western Coastal Zone based on Disaster Statistics (재해통계기반 서해 연안지역의 풍랑피해예측함수 개발)

  • The frequency and scale of natural disasters due to the abnormal climate phenomena caused by global warming have being increasing all over the world. Various natural disasters, such as typhoons, earthquakes, floods, heavy rain, drought, sweltering heat, wind waves, tsunamis and so on, can cause damage to human life. Especially, the damage caused by natural disasters such as the Earthquake of Japan, hurricane Katrina in the United States, typhoon Maemi and so on, have been enormous. At this stage, it is difficult to estimate the scale of damage due to (future) natural disasters and cope with them. However, if we could predict the scale of damage at the disaster response level, the damage could be reduced by responding to them promptly. In the present study, therefore, among the many types of natural disaster, we developed a function to estimate the damage due to wind waves caused by sea winds and waves. We collected the damage records from the Disaster Report ('91~'14) published by the Ministry of Public Safety and Security about wind waves and typhoons in the western coastal zone and, in order to reflect the inflation rate, we converted the amount of damage each year into the equivalent amount in 2014. Finally, the meteorological data, such as the wave height, wind speed, tide level, wave direction, wave period and so on, were collected from the KMA (Korea Meteorological Administration) and KHOA (Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Agency)'s web sites, for the periods when wind wave and typhoon damage occurred. After that, the function used to estimate the wind wave damage was developed by reflecting the regional characteristics for the 9 areas of the western coastal zone.

  • “해마다늘어만가는지구촌곳곳의기상이변, 특히세계유전지대의혹독한풍수해가지난해와마찬가지로일시에밀어닥친다면올해도국제유가의고공행진은하늘을찌를것이다.” 고유가가대세로점쳐지고있는가운데 2 0 0 6년새해를맞아유가의고공행진에대한극단적인우려감이높다. 지난해지구촌이 겪은미국발 허리케인의공포가채 가시지 않은 탓이다. 고유가의정착으로 인해고통을감내한 세계각국은올해초 국제유가의향방을대부분부정적으로내다보고있다. 고유가의원인으로는수요급증에따른수급불균형을우선꼽으면서도고공행진의유가를촉발할여러가지변수도다각도로진단하고있다. 지난해40% 가까이급등한국제유가는올한해에도고공비행을계속할것으로보고있는가운데일부언론은유가 6 0달러시대는이제기정사실화됐다고보도하기도했다. 만약부정적인상황이온다면“WTI 가격은최고 8 0달러, 두바이유가격은최고 6 7달러수준까지상승한다”는전망이나오는가하면“미국과이란의정치적충돌로페르시아만폐쇄사태라도터진다면유가가배럴당 1 0 0달러까지도치솟을수있다”는 경고도 나오고 있다. 우려는 하되 긍정적인 시각도 있다. 고유가가 올해 인플레에 미칠 영향에 대해 경제협력개발기구( O E C D ) 의코엔빈센트수석애널리스트가바로이경우다. 그는최근의고유가는지난 7 0년대와 8 0년대초의석유파동때와는성격이다르다고전제하면서다음과같이진단했다. “당시는공급쪽의충격이컸으나이제는수요급증으로발생하는것”이라고지적하며“선진권경제의석유의존도가크게떨어진점도고유가의파고가큰우려가되지않는다”고밝히고있다. 국내 전문가들도중동정세가 안정되고 미국 경기가 크게 둔화돼 석유수요가감소할경우에도 O P E C의 적극적 감산이예상돼유가가 4 0달러대밑으로내려가기는어려울것으로내다보고있다. 케임브리지에너지연구소( C E R A ) 의경우브렌트유기준으로 지난 연말 배럴당 5 5 . 4달러에서 올해는 5 3 . 5달러로되레떨어질것으로내다봤다. 2006년미국과중국의석유수요가대폭둔화될경우배럴당 4 1 . 3달러까지하락할수도있다는전망을내놨다. 그러나주요산유국의공급차질로인한비관 적인상황이도래할경우엔배럴당7 6달러까지도급등할것이라는경고도덧붙였다. 하여튼 2 0 0 6년유가의향방은고공추세에다주변변수가어떻게잘마무리되느냐, 나아가돌발풍수해에따라선‘껑충’거릴수밖에없다는진단이우세하다. 새해를맞아최근의국제유가동향과나아가유가의향방및변수를진단해봤다.

A Experimental Study on a change of wave overtopping volumea with a reduced scale (축척에 따른 월파량 변화에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • 최근 빈번하게 발생하는 기상이변현상의 하나로 발생한 제14호 태풍 "매미"는 한반도 남부지방을 통과하면서 강풍과 해일을 동반하여 해안에서는 해일이 발생하여 평균해수면의 상승과 파의 쳐올림(run up)에 의한 월파량(wave overtopping volume)으로 예상치 못한 침수피해가 속출하였다. 태풍으로 인한 주된 피해로써 특히, 침수피해는 이상고조로 인해 평균수위 상승이 만조와 겹침으로써 기존의 호안, 제방 등의 천단고를 넘어서 파의 쳐올림에 의한 월파량으로 호안 배후지의 침수피해가 발생하게 된다. 이러한 월파현상에서 월파량이 축척되면서 배후지에 축척된 수량에 의해 침수피해가 발생되는 근본적인 원인은 파의 쳐올림의 높이에 비해 호안의 제방 높이가 상대적으로 낮다는 데 있다. 우리나라 매립지의 지반고는 과거에 설계 시공한 인근 매립지의 지반고와 동일한 높이로 하고 있는 데 이러한 개념은 인근 지대와 동일조건을 부여하여 배후지에서 발생할 수 있는 여러 가지 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 장점이 많지만, 이건 설계방범은 해안공학적인 측면이 강조되어 설계되었다기보다 사회 경제적 측면을 강조하여 설계되어 왔기 때문에 이번과 같은 태풍에 대한 방재대책이 될 수 없었던 것이다. 따라서 원만한 방재대책이 수립되기 위해서는 과거의 설계방법을 탈피하여 현지조건을 정확하게 조사한 후 이를 근거로 하는 설계가 요구된다. 본 연구는 해안공학적 측면에 중점을 두고 수행하였다. 첫째로, 태풍 제14호 "매미"의 현황을 파악하여 조석현황과 이상고조, 파고추정의 범위를 결정한다. 또, 부산지방의 피해현장을 조사하여 피해의 유사성을 밝힌다. 둘째로, 송도 매립지 호안 전면에서의 월파현상과 월파량을 검토한다. 셋째로, 대체블록에 대해 간략 계산을 통해 유동성을 검토하였다. 이와 같은 연구과정을 통해 태풍이 내습했을 때 호안 배후지내의 월파량 철상을 2차원 수리모형실험을 통해 재현시켜 검토하고, 월파량을 평가기준으로 축척모형을 해안수리학적인 측면에서 검증하였다. 본 2차원 수리모형실험에서 재현시킨 월파량이 현실적으로 어느 정도의 월파량이 되는지는 계산에 의한 방법으로만 추정할 수 있으며, 여기서는 2차원 수리모형실험을 실시했던 자료를 이용하여 현재까지 알려진 방법으로 몇 가지 경우 즉, 현실적으로 일어날 가능성이 있는 최악의 경우에 대해 계산한 겉과, 동일조건에서 축척이 적을수록 추정 월파량이 많음을 알 수 있었다. 이것은 태풍이 내습하여 현실적으로 발생했던 월파량이 더욱 많았음을 유추할 수 있다. 또한, 태풍과 같은 자연재해, 특히 월파량에 대해 취약한 구조를 가진 호안의 경우 여러 가지 대안 중 인공쇄파대(artifical reef)와 같은 완충지대를 갖는 호안을 축조함으로써 월파량을 감소시키는 대안으로 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구 수행을 통해 태풍 내습시 발생 가능한 자연재해에 대한 사전 방지를 목적으로 태풍피해의 원인을 제시하고 이를 해결하여 현재의 방재대책이 항구적인 방재대책으로 전환될 수 있는 방안 마련의 기초 자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

Analysis of Grounding Accidents in Small Fishing Vessels and Suggestions to Reduce Them (소형어선의 좌초사고 분석과 사고 저감을 위한 제언)

  • An analysis of marine accidents that occurred in the last five years, revealed that 77.0 % of all grounding accidents and 66.1% of all marine casualties involved small vessels, which was a very high level relatively. The Mokpo Regional Maritime Safety Tribunal (Mokpo-KMST) inquired on 72 cases of marine accidents in 2021, of which 10 cases were grounding accidents. Furthermore, eight cases of grounding accidents occurred in small fishing vessels. This study analyzed eight cases of grounding accidents on small fishing vessels that inquired in the jurisdictional area of Mokpo-KMST in 2021. I found out that this grounding occurred in clear weather with good visibility (2-4 miles) and good sea conditions with a wave height of less than 1 meter. Furthermore, I found that the main causes of grounding were drowsy navigation due to fatigue, neglect of vigilance, neglect of checking ship's position, overconfidence in GPS plotter, and lack of understanding of chart symbols and tidal differences. To reduce grounding accidents of small fishing vessels, I suggested the following measures. First, crew members who have completed the able seafarer training course on bridge watchkeeping should assist to the master. Second, alarm systems to prevent drowsiness should be installed in the bridge. Third, the regulation should be prepared for the performance standards and updating GPS plotter. Finally, the skipper of small vessels should be trained periodically to be familiar with chart symbols and basic terrestrial navigation.

This model suggest a prototype model of entrepreneur with historical context and anthropological approach.

Development of Predicting Function for Wind Wave Damage based on Disaster Statistics: Focused on East Sea and Jeju Island (재해통계기반 풍랑피해액예측함수 개발 : 동해안, 제주를 중심으로)

  • In current stage, it is hard to predict the scale of damage caused by natural disaster and it is hard to deal with it. However, in case of disaster planning level, if it is possible to predict the scale of disaster then quick reaction can be done which will reduce the damage. In the present study, therefore, function of wind wave damage estimation among various disaster is developed. Damage of wind wave and typhoon in eastern and Jeju coastal zone was collected from disaster report (1991~2014) published by Ministry of Public Safety and Security and to reflect inflation rate, 2014 damage cost was converted. Also, wave height, wind speed, wave direction, wave period, etc was collected from Meteorological Administration and Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Administration web site. To reflect the characteristic of coastal zone when wave damage occurs, CODI(Coastal Disaster Index), COSI(Coastal Sensitivity Index), CPII(Coastal Potential Impact Index) published by Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Agency in 2015 were used. When damage occurs, function predicting wind wave damage was developed through weather condition, regional characteristic index and correlation of damage cost.
