Current status and future plan for using satellite data in water resource management of K-water (K-water의 수자원 분야 위성정보 활용현황 및 계획)

  • 최근 기후변화로 인한 국지적 또는 대규모 극한 가뭄과 홍수가 빈발함에 따라 수자원 관리 여건은 점점 더 어려워지고 있다. 이런 물 관련 재해에 보다 효과적으로 대응하기 위해서는 수자원인자에 대한 시공간적 모니터링이 필수적인데, 이러한 관점에서 시공간적 광역관측이 가능한 위성자료의 활용가치는 매우 높게 평가되고 있으며, 최근에는 국내외적으로 위성자료를 이용하여 수문 인자 산출, 가뭄 홍수 등의 모니터링 기술 등에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. K-water는 위성정보 활용기술력 축적을 통한 보다 효율적인 수자원 관리를 하기 위하여 수자원 분야에 활용 가능한 해외의 주요 위성자료를 실시간 직수신 처리하여 표출하는 K-water 위성영상관리시스템(K-SIMS, K-water Satellite Image Management System)을 2015년에 구축하였다. 현재 K-SIMS를 통해 관리되는 위성은 AQUA, TERRA, NPP, GCOM-W, GPM로서 총 5개이다. AQUA, TERRA, NPP 위성은 각 궤도운영 스케쥴에 따라 한반도 상공을 통과하는 시각에 안테나가 위성의 궤도를 따라가며 수신하고, GCOM-W, GPM 위성자료는 FTP 접속를 통해 준실시간으로 수신하고 있다. 산출물은 AQUA, TERRA, NPP가 각각 23종, GCOM-W 9종, GPM 2종 등 총 80여종으로 위성원시자료 수신즉시 처리 표출까지 실시간 자동 수행되고 있으나 식생지수, 강수, 구름, 대기온도, 수증기 등 대부분 수문기상학적 변수들로 구성되어 있어 수자원 관리 현업 업무에는 직접 사용하기에는 다소 한계가 있다. 따라서, 위성자료의 활용성을 높이기 위하여 수문해석에 중요한 변수인 토양수분에 대해서 AQUA, TERRA의 MODIS LST(Land Surface Temperature)와 식생지수(Vegetation Index)를 이용하여 SMI(Soil Moisture Index)를 산출하고 이를 K-SIMS에 표출하는 체계를 추가로 구축하여 현업 활용도가 높은 자료를 생산하고 있으며, 향후 위성자료를 활용한 가뭄지수를 추가로 산출하여 표출할 계획이다. 이와 함께 K-water는 차세대 중형위성 개발 사업에 따른 수자원 위성 확보에 대비해 수자원 분야 위성활용 중장기 계획을 마련하였다. 향후에 광학위성, SAR위성 등 다양한 위성자료의 융복합적 활용을 통하여 위성산출물 알고리즘을 지속적으로 개발함으로써 홍수, 가뭄, 수질 등 물 재해 대응 및 수자원 관리 전 분야에 위성자료의 활용을 확대해 나갈 계획이다.

  • Artificial intelligence is expanding its reach throughout our society, and education is no exception to its scope of application. In line with this trend, we conducted a computer programming class for teachers in graduate school. The final purpose of this class is to develop the programming skills of teachers who teach students to code artificial intelligence programs. This paper studies how the logical thinking and mental consistency of teachers, who are learners, are related to programming aptitude and describes education environmental factors of the class. It was confirmed that logical thinking and mental consistency were proportional to the programming score. This proportional relationship is expected to apply to students learning programming languages. When team formation is required in programming classes, it is expected that better learning effects will be achieved if students with excellent logical thinking and mental consistency are included in each team.

A Study on the Properties of Fire Endurance and Spalling of High Performance RC Column with the Finishing and Covering Material (고성능 RC 기둥의 마감재 변화에 따른 폭열 및 내화특성에 관한 연구)

  • High performance concrete(HPC) has been widely used in high-rise building. The HPC has several benefits including high strength, high fluidity and high durability. However, spalling is susceptible to occur in HPC and HPC also tends to be deteriorated in the side of fire resistance performance at fire. This paper investigated the spalling prevention of high performance RC column. Control concrete showed severe failure and a case of concrete with fire enduring spraying material exhibited more severe spalling failure than even control concrete. In addition, concrete with fire enduring paint reported the most favorable spalling resistance effect for preventing spall, compared with other concrete covered with finishing materials, such as fire enduring spraying material, gypsum board, marble board and fire enduring PC board. Meanwhile, concrete adding 0.1% of PP fiber demonstrated spalling resistance performance after 3hours load bearing test.

Analysis on Research Trends and Factor of Success to Communities of Practice in Korea (국내의 실천공동체(Communities of Practice)연구 동향 분석 및 성공 요인 분석)

  • When communities of practice(CoP) was mostly informal, has been formulated. Because Knowledge management(KM) was emphasized in the business sector. So it increase interest in the COP. Since the early 2000s, the research interest has thus far grown. At a point in time has the subject, CoP, been researched for ten years, it is significant to review the literatures, the main topics as well as critical factors on the subject. In this study, the trends in the relevant researches and the performance factors from the previous studies are examined. The references for this study are limited to the authorized scholarly and scientific journals. The results therethrough processed show that total 37 researches were conducted between the year 2000 and 2012. These could be classified by the research methods as 16 case studies, 11 studies using CoP as the dependent variable, 4 studies using CoP as an independent variable and 3 theoretical discourses. 7 out of 16 case studies suggest the 14 success factors of CoP; the most influential performance factor is the external community support. 11 studies examined factors influencing the performance of CoP; 13 performance factors were proposed in these studies. The most significant factor influencing the performance of CoP is the team effectiveness.

  • Knowledge transfer occurs in various social contexts, within individuals and groups, and, thus, is closely linked to social networks in an organization. This paper applies social network theory and social identity theory to knowledge management area. The subject of this study was organization members who transfer their knowledge. 296 questionnaires were collected and analyzed. The results are as follows. First, in-group and out-group's tie strength have a significant effect on knowledge transfer. Second, the study shows that the knowledge transfer influences positively individual, team and organizational performance. Lastly, the study verifies that the applied knowledge has a moderating effect on the relationship of the in-group's tie strength and knowledge transfer.

  • This study investigated how general blended learning strategies and flipped-learning instructional strategy affect college students' social presence and group cohesion. The main results of this study were summarized as follows. First, the group of flipped-learning instructional strategy was more effective in college students' social presence than general blended learning. Second, it was found that groups using flipped-learning instruction strategy had more positive effects on improving group cohesion among college students than those using the general blended learning instructional strategy. The results of this study can influence the identification and verification of the main components to be considered when using flipped-learning instruction strategy in blended learning environment.   • Warm deep drawing of single-action dies using local heating has appeared to be an alternative attractive production method of multi-operation die sets generally used at room temperature in deep drawing of rectangular cup. Uniaxial tensile tests and deep drawing tests of various materials are carried out and the effect of temperature on tensile properties and drawability are examined at temperatures up to 200 .deg. C under three kinds of lubricants of teflon film, vinyl film and drawing oil. Good formability is achieved when punch and die temperature were differentiated intentionally in order to get large tensile strength(TS) at punch shoulder protion and small TS at die side. Throughout the experiments, it has been shown that the limiting drawing height of STS316L was increased with heating die and blank holder at 100 .deg. C, but that of STS430 wasn't. When vinyl or teflon film was attached on the plates, the drawability was increased considerably.

플랫폼 비즈니스 기업에 대한 투자결정요인에 관한 연구

  • 플랫폼은 산업 전반에 걸쳐 막강한 영향력을 행사하며 비즈니스 생태계를 변화시키고 있다, 이러한 변화의 흐름에 따라서 플랫폼 기업의 가치가 빠르게 상승하고 있으며 좋은 플랫폼 기업을 발굴하여 육성하는 것이 곧 국가경쟁력 향상으로 이어지고 있다. 플랫폼 비즈니스 기반의 기업은 플랫폼 특성인 네트워크 효과와 수확체증 현상이 영향력을 발휘하기 전인 사업 초기에는 충분한 수익 발생이 어렵고 승자독식의 산업구조로 인해 치열한 선두 경쟁을 강요받고 있기에 기업 성장을 위해서는 투자유치를 통한 자금을 확보할 필요성이 있다. 본 연구는 플랫폼 비즈니스 기반의 기업에 대한 투자자의 투자결정요인을 도출하고 각 요인 간의 중요도 차이를 분석하여 투자를 준비하는 플랫폼 기업에게 투자자의 관점을 이해하고 사업을 검토하는 데 참고할 수 있는 시사점을 제시하여 플랫폼 기업의 투자유치 성공률을 제고 및 플랫폼 생태계 활성화를 목적으로 하고 있다. 투자자의 투자결정요인과 플랫폼 가치평가에 관한 선행연구를 바탕으로 플랫폼 기업에 적합한 14가지의 투자결정요인을 도출한 뒤 계층화를 통해 플랫폼, 시장, 창업자/팀, 재무, 제품/서비스의 5가지 주요 요인을 선정했으며 투자자를 대상으로 AHP 분석기법을 활용한 1:1 쌍대비교 설문을 진행하였다. 연구 결과 가장 높은 중요도를 나타내는 요인은 플랫폼 특성으로 확인되었으며, 이는 본 연구에서 선정한 플랫폼 특성인 플랫폼 규모, 핵심 참여집단 확보 여부, 가치 고착 용이성, 확보한 데이터 가치가 플랫폼 기업의 가치평가에 적절하다는 것을 시사한다. 추가로 플랫폼 기업에 대한 투자경험 유무로 그룹을 나누어 중요도를 비교한 결과 플랫폼에 투자한 투자자가 그렇지 않은 투자자에 비하여 플랫폼 기업이 확보한 데이터 가치에 대해 높은 중요도를 두고 있다는 것을 확인했다.

A study on the field application of high strength steel pipe reinforcement grouting (고강도 강관 보강 그라우팅의 현장 적용성에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we conducted experimental investigation on the field applicability through the verification of reinforcement effect of the steel pipe reinforcement grouting using high strength steel pipe. SGT275 (formerly known as STK400) steel pipe is generally applied to the traditional steel pipe reinforcement grouting method. However, the analysis of tunnel collapse cases applying the steel pipe reinforcement grouting shows that there are cases where the excessive bending and breakage of steel pipe occur. One of the reasons causing these collapses is the lack of steel pipe stiffness responding to the loosening load of tunnels caused by excavation. The strength of steel pipe has increased due to the recent development of high strength steel pipe (SGT550). However, since research on the reinforcement method considering strength increase is insufficient, there is a need for research on this. Therefore, in this study, we conducted experiments on the tensile and bending strength based on various conditions between high strength steel pipe, and carried out basic research on effective field application depending on the strength difference of steel pipe through the conventional design method. In particular, we verified the reinforcement effect of high strength steel pipe through the measurement results of deformed shape and stress of steel pipe arising from excavation after constructing high strength steel pipe and general steel pipe at actual sites. The research results show that high strength steel pipe has excellent bending strength and the reinforcement effect of reinforced grouting. Further, it is expected that high strength steel pipe will have an arching effect thanks to strength increase.

  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is characterized by persistent airflow limitation that is usually progressive. It is a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, leading to substantial and increasing economic and social burden. Palliative care for COPD patients aims to reduce symptoms and exacerbations and improve exercise tolerance and quality of life. It is difficult to make a prognosis for COPD patients due to the variable illness trajectory and advanced care of patients. However, severity of breathlessness, assessment of lung function impairment, and frequency of exacerbations can help to identify palliative care needs and determine effective methods to mitigate symptoms, which is discussed in this paper. In these patients, it is recommended to provide individualized palliative care along with curative/restorative care at the onset of COPD symptoms. Before launching a palliative care system in Korea, it is necessary to prepare pulmonary rehabilitation resources, patient-centered communication, timely palliative responsiveness, and a program for effective advanced care planning. A multidisciplinary approach involving collaboration with not only the respiratory and palliative care teams but also primary care offers a new model of care for these patients and should be considered with a priority.
