Analytical Investigation on Elastic Behaviors of Isotropic Annular Sector Plates Subjected to Uniform Loading (등분포하중을 받는 등방성 환형 섹터판의 탄성 거동에 대한 해석적 연구)

  • This paper presents the development of a new analytical solution to the governing differential equation for isotropic annular sector plates subjected to uniform loading in a three-dimensional polar coordinate system. The 4th order governing partial differential equation (PDE) was converted to an ordinary differential equation (ODE) by assuming the Levy-type series solution form and the subsequent mathematical operations. Finally, a series-type solution was assembled with homogeneous and nonhomogeneous solution parts after operating real values and complex conjugates derived from the characteristic equation. To demonstrate the convergence rate and the accuracy of the featured method, several examples with various sector angles were selected and solved. The deflections and internal moments in the example annular sector plates that were obtained from the proposed solution were compared with those obtained from other analytical studies and numerical analyses using the finite element analysis package program, ABAQUS. Very good agreement with the results of other analytical and numerical methodologies was shown.

Propagation and Radiation Characteristics of Elliptical Corrugated Waveguide (타원형 커루게이트 도파관의 전파 및 복사 특성)

  • In this paper, we analyze theoritically the propagation and radiation characteristics for elliptical corrugated waveguides. The solutions of wave equations in an elliptic cylinder system are obtained in terms of Mathieu functions of 1st and 2nd kind. The electromagnetic fields in the elliptical corrugated waveguide can be represented by series and products of angular and radial Mathieu functions. By using impedence matching at the boundary between the inner region and the slot region, characteristic equations are derived. Then the characteristic equation is solved for $HE_{11}$ mode which is dominant mode in the elliptical corrugated waveguide and the fields in the aperture is calculated. And the propagation pattern for the elliptical corrugated waveguides is calculated through the field equivalence principle.

  • When the magnetic levitation system(MAGLEV) initially rise, The MAGLEV has a weak point that is very large variation of the electric current. In this paper, The author applied the multi-loop-control to stably control the magnetic levitation system(MAGLEV). The gains of the control algorithm were selected based on pole locations formulated from a prototype Bessel transfer function model. The design incorporate tradeoffs in DC-to-DC converter hard-ware para-meters and pole locations. In order to confirm the superiority of the proposed pole selection md controller, MATLAB simulation and experiment results are presented.

  • Based upon the derived analytical model and equation of motion for the general rotor system with anisotropic stator and asymmetric rotor treated as a periodically time-varying system, the series of equations are structured by associating with the time modulated coefficients. The frequency response functions (FRFs) expressed by physical parameters are derived in such a convenient way from the direct inverse matrices of the Fourier transformation of those series of equations, from which the characteristics are analyzed and the properties are suggested.

  • The solution of hyperbolic equation with wave nature has sharp discontinuties in the medium at the wave front. Difficulties encounted in the numrtical solution of such problem in clude among oth-ers numerical oscillation and the representation of sharp discontinuities with good resolution at the wave front. In this work inviscid Burgers equation and modified heat conduction equation is intro-duced as hyperboic equation. These equations are caculated by numerical methods(explicit method MacCormack method Total Variation Diminishing(TVD) method) along various Courant numbers and numerical solutions are compared with the exact analytic solution. For inviscid Burgers equa-tion TVD method remains stable and produces high resolution at sharp wave front but for modified heat Conduction equation MacCormack method is recommmanded as numerical technique.

  • 유동장의 특성을 구분할 수 있는 척도는 평균자유행로와 특성거리의 비인 누센수이다. 누센수에 따라서 유장은 연속체영역, 미끄럼영역, 천이영역, 및 자유분자영역으로 나누어진다. 고고도에서 비행체 주위의 유동장, 진공에서의 유동장 등이 비연속체영역 즉 저밀도유동장에 해당된다. 비연속체영역에 해당되는 또 다른 중요한 분야는 미세 유동장이다. 최근에 관심이 대두되고 있는 미세항공기(MAV)와 실리콘혁명 이래 유망한 미래기술중의 하나인 MEMS 장치 주위의 유동장 등이 바로 미세 유동장이다. 비연속체영역에서 유체의 이동 및 전달현상을 기술하기 위하여는 Boltzmann 방정식을 해석하여야한다. Navier-Stokes 방정식을 이용한 기존의 CFD 기법이 적용되지 않는 새로운 유동영역이기 때문이다. 본 발표에서는 Boltzmann 방정식의 유력한 해법인 직접모사(Direct Simulation Monte Carlo)법을 이용한 저밀도 유동장 해석이 소개될 것이다. 또한 직접모사법이 이용되기 어려운 다양한 저속 유동장에 대한 해석결과도 소개될 것이다.

Non-gray Radiation with Turbulent Convection in the Entrance Region of a Smooth Tube (매끈한 튜브의 입구 영역에서 난류유동에 의한 대류와 비회복사)

  • 튜브 내의 입구영역에서 난류 유동에 의한 대류와 비회복사(non-gray radiation)가 동시에 일어날 때의 열전달특성을 수치해석적으로 연구하였다. 작동유체는 이산화탄소, 수증기, 질소의 혼합가스라고 가정하였다. 지배방정식을 계산하기 위해 유한차분법이 이용되었고, 복사전달방정식을 이차편미분방정식으로 바꾸기 위해 P-1 근사법이 사용되었다. 그리고 혼합가스의 비회흡수계수(non-gray absorption coefficient)는 지수광폭밴드모형(exponential wide band model)을 이용해서 구하였다. 열전달특성에 대한 온도조건의 영향을 조사하기 위해 튜브의 축방향에 대한 평균 온도와 뉴셀트수(Nusselt number)의 변화를 몇 가지 다른 온도조건에 대해 나타내었다. 또한, 가스의 성분조성에 대한 영향을 조사하였으며, 이러한 결과에 기초해서 튜브 내에서 난류유동에 의한 대류와 비화복사가 동시에 일어날 때의 복사 뉴셀트수를 쉽게 예측할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 수중익 버블 캐비테이션과 날개 끝 볼텍스 캐비테이션의 거동 및 소음을 Eulerian-Lagrangian 기법을 이용하여 수치적으로 해석하였다. Eulerian-Lagrangian 기법은 캐비테이션 버블이 유동장에 미치는 영향이 거의 없다는 가정하에 유동장과 캐비테이션 거동을 일방으로 연계하여 해석하는 방식이다. 수중익 버블 캐비테이션 해석을 위한 유동장은 비압축성 RAMS 방정식을 해석하여 구하고 날개 끝 볼텍스 캐비테이션 유동장은 일반적 CFD 기법의 큰 수치 소산으로 그 특성이 잘 나타나지 않으므로 Sculley 볼텍스 모델을 이용하여 해석한다. 해석한 유동장 정보를 입력치로 하고 버블의 지배 방정식인 Rayleigh-Plesset 방정식과 Newton의 제2법칙에 근거한 궤적 방정식을 연계하여 캐비테이션의 성장-붕괴와 운동을 예측한다. 계산된 거동 정보를 이용하여 버블 캐비테이션과 날개 끝 볼텍스 캐비테이션의 소음을 예측하였다. 본 연구는 수중 운동체에서 발생하는 캐비테이션의 거동과 소음의 특성을 파악하고 그에 따른 대비책을 마련하는 기본 연구로서 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

  • In general, 3-dimensional point-mass equation has been widely used for the trajectory optimization of the fixed-wing aircraft and reentry vehicle. But it should be modified and represent target vehicle's own characteristics. For a lighter-than-air vehicle such as an airship, there exists different and peculiar flight characteristics compared with the aircraft. The first part of this paper is to derive the dynamic equation of motion for the mid-altitude unmanned airship and the second part is to obtain the optimal trajectories under the minimal time flight given constraints. The trajectory optimization problem is converted into the nonlinear programming problem using Sequential Quadratic Programming approach. Finally numerical solutions are presented in the last part of the paper.

Characteristics of the Momentum Equation in Open Channel Flow (개수로흐름 해석에서 운동량방정식의 특성)

  • The relative magnitudes of the individual terms of the momentum equation are analyzed and compared by analytical methods. The temporal variations of each term are analyzed for the influence factors to runoff expressed by the parameters of the momentum equation, stream slopes and roughness coefficients. The magnitudes of local acceleration and convective acceleration offset each other. The peak time of each term except the gravity term coincides with inflection point of the hydrograph rising limb each other. The magnitudes of each term vary with the channel characteristics, especially when the roughness coefficients are dominant or for the mild stream slopes the pressure term can not be negligible.
