This paper proposes a fast subspace tracking methods, which is called GVFF FAPI, based on FAPI (Fast Approximated Power Iteration) method and GVFF RLS (Gradient-based Variable Forgetting Factor Recursive Lease Squares). Since the conventional FAPI uses a constant forgetting factor for estimating covariance matrix of source signals, it has difficulty in applying to non-stationary environments such as continuously changing DOAs of source signals. To overcome the drawback of conventioanl FAPI method, the GVFF FAPI uses the gradient-based variable forgetting factor derived from an improved means square error (MSE) analysis of RLS. In order to achieve the decreased subspace error in non-stationary environments, the GVFF-FAPI algorithm used an improved forgetting factor updating equation that can produce a fast decreasing forgetting factor when the gradient is positive and a slowly increasing forgetting factor when the gradient is negative. Our numerical simulations show that GVFF-FAPI algorithm offers lower subspace error and RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) of tracked DOAs of source signals than conventional FAPI based MUSIC (MUltiple SIgnal Classification).
It is an aim of this study to analyze a relation between modern medicine advertisements and body. Recently the academic world has discussed how comes it that the modernity had been formed. This trend is remarkable in the field of the history of everyday life. Because everyday life is connected with people's vivid experience. Especially in modern advertising it is in existence such as popular culture, consumer culture, sexuality, family, food, clothing and housing, disease. Since modern times the body has been reorganized into a new shape. Namely the premodern body that had been regulated by a status system is changed into modern body that have to form itself after the customs and values. We analyzed medicine advertisements in the early modern times and hoped to explain how modern people had understood their body. We applied Foucault's theory of discourse as a methodology. As a result of research, we came to the conclusion that there were several rules in the texts of medicine advertisements, which had formed a modern subject of pain. There was a disciplinary power such as a internalization of clinical eyes, self-watch in medicine advertisements. These advertisements contributed to the formation of subject of pain and related to the state power.
This paper presents a comparison of recognition performance of the features used inthe recent handwritten korean character recognition.This research aims at providing the basis for feature selecion in order to improve not only the recognition rate but also the efficiency of recognition system.For the comparison of feature performace,we analyzed the characteristics of theose features and then,classified them into three rypes:global feature(image transformation)type,statistical feature type,and local/ topological feature type.For each type,we selected four or five features which seem more suitable to represent the characteristics of korean alphabet,and performed recongition experiments for the first consonant,horizontal vowel,and vertical vowel of a korean character, respectively.The classifier used in our experiments is a multi-layered perceptron with one hidden layer which is trained with backpropagation algorithm.The training and test data in the experiment are taken from 30sets of PE92. Experimental results show that 1)local/topological features outperform the other two type features in terms of recognition rates 2)mesh and projection features in statical feature type,walsh and DCT features in global feature type,and gradient and concavity features in local/topological feature type outperform the others in each type, respectively.

The construction industry has been leading the growth of the nation's economy not only by providing with various infrastructure projects but also by positively impaction related industries such as crating numerous job opportunities. Relevant statistics show the production amount of construction taking about 17.5% of the GDP (Gross Domestic Product). In spite of its positive impacts on the economy, image of Korea construction industry is generally reflected as negative mainly because of its environmental disruption, low payment, bribe, fraudulent work and inefficiency. It brings students to be reluctant choosing the construction industry as their carrier path and governmental and principal research status. Therefore it has been difficult to recruit highly qualitied human resources to the industry while the morale of the whole industry has gradually become demoralized. To improve this stand, many domestic researchers carried out research projects for improving the image of Korea Construction Industry. This study also sympathizes with necessity of improving the negative image of construction industry to remain as one of the leading industry in the 21st century. Especially, this study focused on finding important factors which have significant influences on the image of the industry. Through out the research, image influence factors was identified by rigorous literature review and interviews as industrial and academic experts. Factors, then, categorized and used as the main framework for the survey which designed to fine the degree of impacts on the image of the construction industry. In analyzing the survey results, various statistical techniques was employed including factor analysis, Chi-Square-Test, Correlation Analysis and Multiple Linear Regression. Identified as the most influent factors to the image of the construction industry include morale of construction employee, and prospects the industry which of the judgement by payment, impacts on nation's economy, future of the industry, etc.
The starting point of this discussion resides in the 'eyes' of mirror in a sense of seeing the self reflected in a mirror. The meaning of mirror has been evolved over the centuries while strengthening its sense of identity by bringing up some questions for resemblance, reproduction, self-reflection and reality. A mirror has also extended its vision and provided with a range of images that the self can't have. In this regard, looking into a mirror has been a sustained focus of attention by creating another ostensible being of self-image. This shows the two sides of mirror, which reveals an ambiguous gap between substance and illusion. An excessive immersion in a reflected image in a mirror is intensified and expressed today. The eyes of mirror consisting of a complex dual structure show relations between a person who sees and a person who is seen, which draws a hazy line of demarcation between the subject and the object. This opens up the possibility of the world of chiasme, where you could face all the aspects being from the eyes of others. Furthermore, the meaning of the reflection in a mirror has formed a creative discourse as an enigmatic medium that creates a variety of 'eyes' in various forms of aesthetic expression like paintings and literature. I accordingly suggest that the 'eyes of mirror' is the ambiguous 'eyes of human being' reflected in two territories of the world. Therefore, I will present the historical development of the perspective on the mirror to take a concrete approach in which it opens up the reflective structure of resemblance through a series of examples projected onto the literary and artistic productions. This study will serve as ruminations on the fact that your life is being existent in 'chiasme' of mutual entanglement between the self and the world by investigating relations between a person who sees and a person who is seen, in other words, relations between the perceiving subject and the eyes of others reflected in a mirror.

In this paper, we have studied on cinstructing code-recognition shstem by neural network according to a image process taking the DOT classification code stamped on tire surface.It happened to a few problems that characters distorted in edge by diffused reflection and two adjacent characters take the same label,even very sen- sitive to illumination ofr recognition the stamped them on tire.Thus,this paper would propose the algorithm for tire code under being cinscious of these properties and prove the algorithm drrciency with a simulation.Also,we have suggerted the MCBP network composing of multi-linked recognizers of dffcient identify the DOT code being tire classification code.The MCBP network extracts the projection balue for classifying each character's rdgion after taking out the prjection of each chracter's region on X,Y axis,processes each chracters by taking 7$\times$8 normalization.We have improved error rate 3% through the MCBP network and post-process comparing the DOT code Database. This approach has a accomplished that learming time get's improvenent at 60% and recognition rate has become to 95% from 90% than BckPropagation with including post- processing it has attained greate rates of entire of tire recoggnition at 98%.

The purpose of this study is to trace the path of policy for urban parks and greenbelts (PUPG) pursued by Seoul Mayor Kim Hyeon-ok, who was a protagonist of Seoul's modernization and to reveal the policy's characteristics. A high modernism perspective was projected to advance his PUPG discussion. High modernism was an unavoidable phenomenon that appeared in post-war urban reconstruction projects and emerged in the form of a belief that the national elite creates the ideal social order and rational planning. Its characteristics were to build with legibility, immediacy, and convenience by power, with private participation and profit creation, while realizing the spectacle of "the city being built". As a high-modernist, Seoul Mayor Kim Hyun-ok's urban planning aimed to deal with the booming population and the expansion of Seoul's territory. Although his PUPG extended the parks to the outskirts of Seoul, he showed a dualistic attitude, diverting parks away from the city center. On the other hand, he induced the participation of the private sector to create parks. However, he showed the other side of modernization, eliminating the placeness and excluding related systems. The path taken by Mayor Kim Hyun-ok's PUPG was started to respond to population growth and resolve the encroachment of parks. The ultimate goal was to accept the realization of urban planning and experiment with non-financial methods. The characteristics of his PUPG reflecting high modernism were: First, elites were represented in the National Land Planning Association, HURPI, and Jang Moon-gi participated; second, legibility was ensured by using east-west and north-south axes, elevation standards, and rational planning. Third, parks were quickly released to respond to the rapid urban change. Fourth, it showed off events and spectacles to attract private capital.
Recently, in the field of video surveillance, deep learning based learning method is applied to intelligent video surveillance system, and various events such as crime, fire, and abnormal phenomenon can be robustly detected. However, since occlusion occurs due to the loss of 3d information generated by projecting the 3d real-world in 2d image, it is need to consider the occlusion problem in order to accurately detect the object and to estimate the pose. Therefore, in this paper, we detect moving objects by solving the occlusion problem of object detection process by adding depth information to existing RGB information. Then, using the convolution neural network in the detected region, the positions of the 14 keypoints of the human joint region can be predicted. Finally, in order to solve the self-occlusion problem occurring in the pose estimation process, the method for 3d human pose estimation is described by extending the range of estimation to the 3d space using the predicted result of 2d keypoint and the deep neural network. In the future, the result of 2d and 3d pose estimation of this research can be used as easy data for future human behavior recognition and contribute to the development of industrial technology.

In this paper, we report the design and fabrication of binary diffractive optical elements (DOEs) for random-dot-pattern projection for Schlieren imaging. We selected the binary phase level and a pitch of 10 ㎛ for the DOE, based on cost effectiveness and ease of manufacture. We designed the binary DOE using an iterative Fourier-transform algorithm with binary phase optimization. During initial optimization, we applied a computer-generated pseudorandom dot pattern of uniform intensity as a target pattern, and found significant intensity nonuniformity across the field. Based on the evaluation of the initial optimization, we weighted the target random dot pattern with Gaussian profiles to improve the intensity uniformity, resulting in the improvement of uniformity from 52.7% to 90.8%. We verified the design performance by fabricating the designed binary DOE and a beam projector, to which the same was applied. The verification confirmed that the projector produced over 10,000 random dot patterns over 430 mm × 430 mm at a distance of 5 meters, as designed, but had a slightly less uniformity of 84.5%. The fabrication errors of the DOE, mainly edge blurring and spacing errors, were strong possibilities for the difference.
The quantile mapping is utilized to reproduce reliable GCM(Global Climate Model) data by correct systematic biases included in the original data set. This scheme, in general, projects the Cumulative Distribution Function (CDF) of the underlying data set into the target CDF assuming that parameters of target distribution function is stationary. Therefore, the application of stationary quantile mapping for nonstationary long-term time series data of future precipitation scenario computed by GCM can show biased projection. In this research the Nonstationary Quantile Mapping (NSQM) scheme was suggested for bias correction of nonstationary long-term time series data. The proposed scheme uses the statistical parameters with nonstationary long-term trends. The Gamma distribution was assumed for the object and target probability distribution. As the climate change scenario, the 20C3M(baseline scenario) and SRES A2 scenario (projection scenario) of CGCM3.1/T63 model from CCCma (Canadian Centre for Climate modeling and analysis) were utilized. The precipitation data were collected from 10 rain gauge stations in the Han-river basin. In order to consider seasonal characteristics, the study was performed separately for the flood (June~October) and nonflood (November~May) seasons. The periods for baseline and projection scenario were set as 1973~2000 and 2011~2100, respectively. This study evaluated the performance of NSQM by experimenting various ways of setting parameters of target distribution. The projection scenarios were shown for 3 different periods of FF scenario (Foreseeable Future Scenario, 2011~2040 yr), MF scenario (Mid-term Future Scenario, 2041~2070 yr), LF scenario (Long-term Future Scenario, 2071~2100 yr). The trend test for the annual precipitation projection using NSQM shows 330.1 mm (25.2%), 564.5 mm (43.1%), and 634.3 mm (48.5%) increase for FF, MF, and LF scenarios, respectively. The application of stationary scheme shows overestimated projection for FF scenario and underestimated projection for LF scenario. This problem could be improved by applying nonstationary quantile mapping.
