  • Bicycle is a useful transportation mode that is healthy, emission-free, and environmentally compatible. Although large efforts have been made to promote the use of bicycling to date, there still exist various hurdles and limitations. One of the key issues to increase bicycling is how to gather bicycle-related data from the field and to generate valuable information for both users and operations agencies. This study proposes a method to process bicycle trajectory data which is obtained from tracing global positioning systems(GPS) equipped bicycle, which is defined as the probe bicycle. The proposed method is based on the concept of statistical quality control of data. In addition, a data collection and processing scenario in support of public bicycle system is presented. The outcomes of this study would be valuable fundamentals for developing bicycle traffic information systems that is a part of future intelligent transportation systems(ITS).

  • 판재의 스탬핑 성형성평가를 위해 소재제조업체와 자동차업체에서 널리 사용되고 있는 2,3개의 대표적인 모사실험과 컴퓨터 모드의 실험에 대하여 소개하였고 각각의 특징들에 대하여 논하 였다. 스탬핑금형의 개발과 연속생산공정에 있어서 성형한계선은 원형그리드해석기법과 함께 핀재의 성형난이도 평가 및 불량원인 규명과 조치에 유용하게 사용가능하다. 또한 돔장출실험과 평면변형장출실험에서 각각 얻어지는 한계돔높이와 한계펀치높이는 입하코일에 대한 스탬핑성 공여부의 사전확인 및 연속생산 공정에 대한 통계적 품질관리수단으로 활용하면 스탬핑공정에 서의 불량률감소 및 생산성향상에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

  • One of the major tasks of a Police station is the management of road traffic accidents. Each police station is responsible for keeping Traffic Accident Records (TAR) which can be used as the basis of statistical analyses. Results of such statistical analyses have been applied to establishing effective traffic Plans and safety Policies at the macro level. In this Paper, we apply QFD in a way that each police station can set and implement specific policies according to the local characteristics. Cluster analysis is employed to find black spots in each local area. Poisson repression is used to identify the area specific factors related to various types of road accidents. Results of such statistical analyses are applied to QFD. Our approach is expected to contribute to reduce various types of area specific road traffic accidents.

Analyzing User Satisfaction of the Standard Records Management System (표준 기록관리시스템에 대한 사용자 만족도 분석)

  • It is necessary to diagnose the standard record management system when the system is being spread out to entire public organization and institutions. This study aims to analyze the standard record management system for improving system and revising the related standards in the future. This study evaluates the satisfaction on the interface and functional quality of the system through questionnaire survey on records managers. It is found that the satisfaction of functional quality is just above the line, but the interface fails to satisfy records managers. Also the reliability of the system appears to be higher satisfaction than efficiency and usability. Therefore, the study suggests that the standard records management systems should try to improve 'easy of use' and effectiveness and efficiency by implementing heavy batch job and promoting modulation of key function. And the study emphasizes that the standards will be revised with the long-term plan in order to develop standard records management system systematically and continuously.

  • 최근의 통신서비스 시장은 경쟁의 도입과 기술의 발전이라는 두 축에 힘입어 양질의 서비스를 보다 저렴한 요금으로 소비자들에게 제공하고자 노력하여 왔다. 그러나 이러한 통신서비스의 질적 향상 노력에도 불구하고 여전히 통신서비스의 품질은 소비자들의 기대수준에는 미치지 못하고 있다는 지적이 있다 더욱이 문제가 되는 것은 소비자가 인지하고 있는 통신 서비스 품질의 기대수준은 시간의 흐름에 따라 동태적으로 변화하는 것이어서 한 시점에서의 통신 서비스 품질 수준의 측정으로는 정책적으로 큰 의미를 설명하기 어려운 실정이다. 이와 관련하여 많은 선행 연구들이 다양한 측면에서 시행되어져 왔지만 이제까지의 많은 선행 연구들은 대부분이 통신서비스의 특성을 제대로 고려하지 않고, 고객만족의 향상과 불일치를 가져오고 있는 성능품질만을 측정한다거나, 시간의 흐름에 따라 변화해 가는 소비자가 서비스에 대해 인지하고 있는 중요도나 기대수준을 고려하지 않고 있으며, 각 구성요소간의 동태적 인과고리에 대한 고려 없이 연구가 이루어져 전반적인 통신 서비스의 고객만족을 전체적인 시각에서 평가한 연구는 극히 드물다. 따라서 본 연구는 통신서비스의 고객만족을 피드백 관점, 동태적 관점, 사실적 관점의 시스템 다이내믹스 방법론을 적용하여 전반적인 동태적 고객만족 모형을 구현하고 이를 정책적으로 활용할 수 있는가에 대한 접근을 시도하였다. 고객만족은 결코 한순간에 머물러 있는 것이 아니며 체감품질 및 기대수준의 영향을 받아 지속적으로 변화해간다 따라서 어떻게 기대수준을 관리하고 고객의 기대에 부응하는 체감품질을 관리하는 것이 지속적인 고객만족을 획득할 수 있는 가를 시뮬레이션 모형을 통해 가시적으로 시스템의 행태를 구현함으로써 그 이해의 폭을 넓히고자 시도하였다.으로써 웹에서의 혁신적이며 크로스 사이트, 크로스 장르적인 컨텐츠 플래닝의 가능성을 시사하는데 의의가 있다고 하겠다.y used to some of interactive storytelling through hyper text in CD-ROM and web sites.   • Organizational communication is an element of organizational structure formation; it is also a process of achieving organizational goals through the information sharing among the staff members in the organization as a social system. Organizational performance is a multidimensional concept composed of efficiency and effectiveness and satisfaction. Effectiveness implies service quality and the degree of goal achievement. Service quality by using the $LibQUAL+^{TM}$ model can be considered as an objective performance measure for libraries. This study aims to identify the effect of organizational communication in public libraries on service quality as a performance measure using the $LibQUAL+^{TM}$ model through statistical analyses of the results from questionnaire surveys of librarieans and users in 8 public libraries in Seoul metropolitan area. The result says the characteristics of organizational communication(upward, horizontal, downward communication) affects the three elements in the library service quality, such as affect of service, information control and library as place.

  • Standardization to information attribute of construction material is continuous demanded through the life cycle of a construction project, and the productivity elevation is derived of contribution effect in construction market. This study surveyed the means of acquisition and attribute of information to a staff in purchase, which are effected on the revitalization of information circulation to the construction material Proposed the standardization to information attribute of construction material that is based on improvement and application to the information attribute. And information attribute is classified with construction process through analysis on test list of quality certification. This study also suggested representative attribute of quality information, for the elevation of safety and quality in construction industry. Therefore, logicality of common information is based by analysis of mathematical statistics, systemicity of quality information is applied by MasterFormat(2004)

Feasibility on Statistical Process Control Analysis of Delivery Quality Assurance in Helical Tomotherapy (토모테라피에서 선량품질보증 분석을 위한 통계적공정관리의 타당성)

  • The purpose of this study was to retrospectively investigate the upper and lower control limits of treatment planning parameters using EBT film based delivery quality assurance (DQA) results and to analyze the results of statistical process control (SPC) in helical tomotherapy (HT). A total of 152 patients who passed or failed DQA results were retrospectively included in this study. Prostate (n = 66), rectal (n = 51), and large-field cancer patients, including lymph nodes (n = 35), were randomly selected. The absolute point dose difference (DD) and global gamma passing rate (GPR) were analyzed for all patients. Control charts were used to evaluate the upper and lower control limits (UCL and LCL) for all the assessed treatment planning parameters. Treatment planning parameters such as gantry period, leaf open time (LOT), pitch, field width, actual and planning modulation factor, treatment time, couch speed, and couch travel were analyzed to provide the optimal range using the DQA results. The classification and regression tree (CART) was used to predict the relative importance of variables in the DQA results from various treatment planning parameters. We confirmed that the proportion of patients with an LOT below 100 ms in the failure group was relatively higher than that in the passing group. SPC can detect QA failure prior to over dosimetric QA tolerance levels. The acceptable tolerance range of each planning parameter may assist in the prediction of DQA failures using the SPC tool in the future.

  • This research proposes a design method based on the statistical characteristics of the Shewhart control chart incorporated with 2 of 2 and 2 of 3 runs rules respectively. A Markov chain approach is employed in order to calculate the in-control and out-of-control average run lengths(ARL). Two different control limit coefficients for the Shewhart scheme and the runs rule scheme are derived simultaneously to minimize the out-of-control average run length subject to the reasonable in-control average run length. Numerical examples show that the statistical performance of the hybrid control scheme are superior to that of the original Shewhart control chart.

  • This paper presents an integrated and automated inspection system using image processing technology for the automotive engine assembly process. The system make it possible for the inspected data to be entered directly from the machine vision into the statistical process control system. Such direct entry enables the prompt preparation of corrective actions against process problems. An IVP-150 machine vision board is installed within the PC for image processing, and a template matching technology is implemented to precisely verify quality factors. The developed system showed robustness to the problems of noise, distortion, and orientation.
