The purpose of this paper is to show how much the subjects based on the mathematics and statistics contribute to the curriculum and the education of the students majoring in engineer of the Computer-Software department, and to recognize the roles of mathematics and statistics in the Computer-Software department. In order to advance the world-class Computer-Software department, it is necessary for Math/Stat to ensure the role as a basis for the Computer-Software majors as well as to extend its role to relate the core studies of the Computer-Software majors. Consequently, the recognition of Math/Stat in the Computer-Software major will enable to establish the short or/and long-tern plan for student education.

This paper shows that mathematics and statistics are not only a necessity but a strategic element in contributing for the competitiveness of field of S/W and H/W. First, a survey was conducted to investigate the perceived importance of mathematics and statistics to the specialists of the field. Second, computer programming was implemented in university mathematics courses to understand the educational effect related to problem solving ability. Third, a educational case in which mathematics and statistics in S/W and H/W subject were combined was analyzed. Lastly, an effective plan for mathematics and statistics education in the field of S/W and H/W will be presented.

The purpose of this study is to increase the interest in mathematics-related curriculum and improve mathematics academic achievement of H/W majors. Firstly, this paper proposes the educational case study that develops the learner's ability, increases the interest and raises the employment rate in the unfavorable mathematics-related fields for the H/W majors. Secondly, this paper presents the future teaching method on mathematics-related curriculum that applies to the actually teaching-learning based on the computer programming in the field of the H/W. Lastly, this paper suggests the promising pedagogical method for mathematics by using the statistical analyses of academic achievements and surveys in order to present the effective conducting method of mathematics education.

간학문적 특성이 강한 의류학은 최근 급변하는 사회환경 즉, 학생들의 전문적 경험에 대한 요구, 패션업계와의 유기적 상호관계, 컴퓨터 등 과학기술의 발달, 사회의전문화, 세분화, 정보화, 세계화 등에 능동적으로 대처하여 의류학 졸업생들의 경쟁력을 강화시키기 위하여 보다 질적으로 향상된 의류학의 방향을 모색하도록 요구받고 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 1) 의류학의 목표는 무엇이며 현재 강조되고 있는 분야와 교과목 및 취업기회는 어떠한지, 그리고 미래에 의류학이 당면할 수 있는 문제들은 무엇인지, 2) 프로그램이 어떻게 바뀌어졌으며 앞으로 어떠한 방향으로 발전되어 갈 것인가에 대하여 연구하고자 한다. 연구방법은 전국 43개 4년제 대학의 의류학 관련 교수 110명을 대상으로 설문지법을 사용하였으녀 회수된 58부(53% 회수율)를 SAS로 통계처리하여 Likert's method of summated ratings로 분석하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 의류학의 목표가 가정중심의 복지 향상(M=2.5, SD=1.0)에서 의류학 분야의 전문인을 양성(M=4.8, SD=0.4)하는 것으로 변화하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 전반적으로 디자인 분야(M=4.8, SD=0.5)와 구성분야 (M+4.5, SD=0.7)가 풍부한 교과목과 함께 강조되고 있으며 디자인 분야의 취업성향이 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 교과목이 많이 증설되었으며 (특히 디자인분야) 실험실습시간이 증가되고 인접학문 교과목과 현장실습경험이 증가추세에 있는 것으로 나타났다. 앞으로 의류학의 발전을 위해 전문적 이미지 제고와 함께 졸업생의 취업기획의 증가, 의류산업체와의 인턴제도를 통한 산학협동, 그리고 컴퓨터 활용 증대 등이 요구되고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

The computer programming is a useful tool to cultivate the logical thinking and encourage the problem solving competence. With the purpose of specifying the computer programming, this study mainly concerns with what the computer programming is in the Math/Stat education, and the role of the computer programming when it regards the problem solving procedure. This provides the possibility of Math/Stat major to be specified with the connection of IT related courses, and eventually the specified Math/Stat major enables more qualified graduates to be educated.

This paper analyzes subjects related to Math/Stat and studies teaching effect on subject development connected Math/Stat in software curriculum. Among many subjects related to the software, this paper shows exemplary applications of Math/Stat in the software curriculum. Thereby this opens potential application fields of Math/Stat. This confirms that Math/Stat is not only an essential subject to improve competitiveness but also a strategic element in the field of software. Therefore, by maximizing the academic outcome through the interdisciplinary combination of software and Math/Stat, it is possible to educate more competitive and skilled professionals.

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of the SOC strategies of college students taking courses related to lifelong educator on their attitude toward the elderly and successful aging in an effort to provide information on how to teach students to take a favorable attitude toward the elderly and acquire knowledge on the right aging. The major findings of the study were as follows: The male students made more use of an arbitrary selection strategy than the female students, and a loss-based selection strategy was more prevailing among the female students. There were no differences in attitude toward the elderly and awareness of successful aging according to gender and the presence or absence of religion. Aging attitude was under the statistically significant positive influence of a compensation strategy, and a loss-based selection strategy had a statistically significant positive impact on awareness of successful aging. Given the findings of the study, a wide variety of programs and contents that are related to lifelong educator and can be of use for college students who make a preparation for successful aging should be developed and provided in consideration of the variables that affect attitude toward the elderly and successful aging.

The purpose of the convergence study is to provide basic data for improving job satisfaction of speech and language therapists by identifying the relationship between personal characteristics, empathy ability, and job satisfaction of speech and language therapists, especially between cognitive and emotional empathy ability and job satisfaction. The subjects of the study were 111 people of speech and language therapists working in Daegu and Gyeongbuk. For data analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and correlation analysis were performed using the SPSS/PC 21.0 statistical program according to the purpose of the study. As a result of the study, the relationship between empathy ability and job satisfaction was found to be high, and there was a high correlation between cognitive and emotional empathy ability, which is a sub-factor of empathy ability, and job satisfaction. Therefore, follow-up research is needed to identify the empathy and job satisfaction about nationwide speech and language therapists for implementing various education programs and improving empathy skills in the future.

This study analyzed the current state of interior design as a major at vocational high schools, colleges, and universities to improve their curricula. The questionnaires of students, teachers, and interior designers were collected and frequency distribution and mean were used to analyze the data. Result showed that the alloted times with major fields were high, but those with classes related to interior design were comparatively low at vocational school. Vocational schools did not seem to supply the systemic and qualified major equation for the students who wanted to engage in interior design fields. Therefore curricula reflecting the demand of designers working for interior design companies and students should be made. Additionally practical education contents based on interior design field and achievement of certification should be developed to vitalize the vocational school.

The purpose of this study is to find out how pre-service mathematics teachers should prepare for the teaching of probability and statistics in school mathematics and to help improve teacher education. To do this, questionnaires and evaluation of probabilistic and statistical curriculum were conducted for pre-service teachers, and regression analysis and correlation between them were examined. Through the investigation, the items with low evaluation results due to level of difficulty were extracted and analyzed. As a result, first, it is necessary to teach pre-service mathematics teachers with link the contents curriculum of college and secondary school about probability and statistics. Second, accurate diagnosis of pre-service mathematics teachers' understanding of probability and statistics is needed. Third, the misconceptions and causes of pre-service mathematics teachers were analyzed in detail. And suggests that various follow-up studies related to this are needed.
