A Usability Evaluation on the Visualization of Information Extraction Output (정보추출결과의 시각화 표현방법에 관한 이용성 평가 연구)

  • The goal of this research is to evaluate the usability of visually browsing the automatically extracted information. A domain-independent information extraction system was used to extract information from news type texts to populate the visually browasable knowledge base. The information extraction system automatically generated Concept-Relation-Concept triples by applying various Natural Language Processing techniques to the text portion of the news articles. To visualize the information stored in the knowledge base, we used PersoanlBrain to develop a visualization portion of the user interface. PersonalBrain is a hyperbolic information visualization system, which enables the users to link information into a network of logical associations. To understand the usability of the visually browsable knowledge base, IS test subjects were observed while they use the visual interface and also interviewed afterward. By applying a qualitative test data analysis method. a number of usability Problems and further research directions were identified.

BIM-based visualization technology for blasting in Underground Space (지하공간 BIM 기반 발파진동 영향 시각화 기술)

  • We propose a visualization method to respond to civil complaints through an analysis of the impact of blasting. In order to analyze the impact of blasting on tunnel excavation, we propose a simulation visualization method considering the mutual influence of the construction infrastructure by linking measurement data and 3D BIM model. First, the level of BIM modeling required for simulation was defined. In addition, vibration measurement data were collected for the GTX-A construction site, terrain and structure BIM were created, and a method for visualizing measurement data using blast vibration estimation was developed. Next, a spherical blasting influence source library was developed for visualization of the blasting influence source, and a specification table that could be linked with Revit Dynamo automation logic was constructed. Using this result, a method for easily visualizing the impact analysis of blasting vibration in 3D was proposed.

Correlation-based Automatic Image Captioning (상호 관계 기반 자동 이미지 주석 생성)

  • This paper presents correlation-based automatic image captioning. Given a training set of annotated images, we want to discover correlations between visual features and textual features, so that we can automatically generate descriptive textual features for a new unseen image. We develop models with multiple design alternatives such as 1) adaptively clustering visual features, 2) weighting visual features and textual features, and 3) reducing dimensionality for noise sup-Pression. We experiment thoroughly on 10 data sets of various content styles from the Corel image database, about 680MB. The major contributions of this work are: (a) we show that careful weighting visual and textual features, as well as clustering visual features adaptively leads to consistent performance improvements, and (b) our proposed methods achieve a relative improvement of up to 45% on annotation accuracy over the state-of-the-art, EM approach.

Development of the Artwork using Music Visualization based on Sentiment Analysis of Lyrics (가사 텍스트의 감성분석에 기반 한 음악 시각화 콘텐츠 개발)

  • In this study, we tried to produce moving-image works through sentiment analysis of music. First, Google natural language API was used for the sentiment analysis of lyrics, then the result was applied to the image visualization rules. In prior engineering researches, text-based sentiment analysis has been conducted to understand users' emotions and attitudes by analyzing users' comments and reviews in social media. In this study, the data was used as a material for the creation of artworks so that it could be used for aesthetic expressions. From the machine's point of view, emotions are substituted with numbers, so there is a limit to normalization and standardization. Therefore, we tried to overcome these limitations by linking the results of sentiment analysis of lyrics data with the rules of formative elements in visual arts. This study aims to transform existing traditional art works such as literature, music, painting, and dance to a new form of arts based on the viewpoint of the machine, while reflecting the current era in which artificial intelligence even attempts to create artworks that are advanced mental products of human beings. In addition, it is expected that it will be expanded to an educational platform that facilitates creative activities, psychological analysis, and communication for people with developmental disabilities who have difficulty expressing emotions.

  • 오늘날 인터넷의 발달과 전자 책(e-Book) 시장규모가 커짐에 따라 온라인을 통한 도서 정보 제공이 증가하고 있다. 하지만 현재 도서 정보나 도서 추천을 제공하는 온라인 사이트들은 기본 서지 정보만을 위주로 제공하고 있어 도서 본문을 활용한 정보 제공 및 추천 시스템의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 도서 본문을 활용한 정보 제공 및 개인 맞춤형 추천을 위해 '도서 정보 본문텍스트 통합 마이닝 기반 사용자 참여형 시각화 및 추천 큐레이션 플랫폼'을 제안하고, 이를 구축하였다. 제안한 서비스 플랫폼은 독자에게 다양한 방법으로 도서 정보를 제공하며, 독자는 적은 시간으로 많은 정보를 얻을 수 있도록 하여 사용자의 도서 선택의 폭을 넓혀줄 것이다.

Method for 3D Visualization of Sound Data (사운드 데이터의 3D 시각화 방법)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a method to visualize the sound data to the three-dimensional image. The visualization of the sound data is performed according to the algorithm set after production of the text-based script that form the channel range of the sound data. The algorithm consists of a total of five levels, including setting sound channel range, setting picture frame for sound visualization, setting 3D image unit's property, extracting channel range of sound data and sound visualization, 3D visualization is performed with at least an operation signal input by the input device such as a mouse. With the sound files with the amount an animator can not finish in the normal way, 3D visualization method proposed in this study was highlighted that the low-cost, highly efficient way to produce creative artistic image by comparing the working time the animator with a study presented method and time for work. Future research will be the real-time visualization method of the sound data in a way that is going through a rendering process in the game engine.

Korean Text Image Super-Resolution for Improving Text Recognition Accuracy (텍스트 인식률 개선을 위한 한글 텍스트 이미지 초해상화)

  • Finding texts in general scene images and recognizing their contents is a very important task that can be used as a basis for robot vision, visual assistance, and so on. However, for the low-resolution text images, the degradations, such as noise or blur included in text images, are more noticeable, which leads to severe performance degradation of text recognition accuracy. In this paper, we propose a new Korean text image super-resolution based on a Transformer-based model, which generally shows higher performance than convolutional neural networks. In the experiments, we show that text recognition accuracy for Korean text images can be improved when our proposed text image super-resolution method is used. We also propose a new Korean text image dataset for training our model, which contains massive HR-LR Korean text image pairs.

A Method of Mining Visualization Rules from Open Online Text for Situation Aware Business Chart Recommendation (상황인식형 비즈니스 차트 추천기 개발을 위한 개방형 온라인 텍스트로부터의 시각화 규칙 추출 방법 연구)

  • Selecting business charts based on the nature of the data and the purpose of the visualization is useful in business analysis. However, current visualization tools lack the ability to help choose the right business chart for the context. Also, soliciting expert help about visualization methods for every analysis is inefficient. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to propose an accessible method to improve business chart productivity by creating rules for selecting business charts from online published documents. To this end, Korean, English, and Chinese unstructured data describing business charts were collected from the Internet, and the relationships between the contexts and the business charts were calculated using TF-IDF. We also used a Galois lattice to create rules for business chart selection. In order to evaluate the adequacy of the rules generated by the proposed method, experiments were conducted on experimental and control groups. The results confirmed that meaningful rules were extracted by the proposed method. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to recommend customizing business charts through open unstructured data analysis and to propose a method that enables efficient selection of business charts for office workers without expert assistance. This method should be useful for staff training by recommending business charts based on the document that he/she is working on.

  • 본 연구는 교양교육에 대한 학습 수요자의 요구와 현재 편성되어 있는 교양교육 교과목들에 대한 차이를 알아본다. 학습 수요자의 다양한 생각들을 SNS를 통해 데이터를 수집하고, 텍스트 마이닝 기법을 이용하여 유용한 정보를 발견하고 시각화 분석을 통해 학습자의 요구를 제시한다. 분석 결과로는 학습자는 교수자와 상호작용 잘되는 수업 방식, 학습자가 참여할 수 있는 수업, 자기주도 학습을 선호하였다. 또한 교양교육 교과목 개설로서는 취업에 필요한 외국어, 자격증 취득이 가능한 과목, 실생활에 적용할 수 있는 실용적인 과목들을 요구하여 실제 균형에 맞게 개설된 교과목과는 차이를 보임을 알 수 있었다.

  • 모바일 환경이 발전하고 보편화됨에 따라 사용자의 상황정보를 인식하고 추론하여 서비스를 제공하는 상황인식 서비스에 대해 관심이 높아지고 있다. 상황인식 서비스는 사용자 및 주변 환경의 상황을 알아내고 공유하여 그에 맞는 서비스를 제공한다. 이를 위한 상황정보는 사용자의 요구와 주변 상황이 수시로 변화하는 이동통신 환경에서 중요하게 활용된다. 본 논문에서는 컨텍스트의 수집과 공유를 위해 안드로이드 기반의 컨텍스트폰 플랫폼과 컨텍스트 서버를 구현하여 사용자 상황 정보를 시각화 하고 서로 공유할 수 있게 하였다. 상황인식에 대한 연구에는 주로 위치 및 이동에 관한 연구가 많은 부분을 차지하고 있는데, 위치정보는 상황인식을 위해 반드시 필요한 정보이며 이를 통해 사용자의 현재 상황을 파악할 수 있는 중요한 정보로 활용되고 있다. 안드로이드 기반의 컨텍스트폰 플랫폼과 컨텍스트 서버, GPS를 이용하여 사용자의 위치를 추적하거나 찾아내어 실시간으로 상대방의 위치 정보와 사용자 간의 거리를 알아내어 공유하고 맵을 통해 사용자 위치를 파악하여 위치와 관련된 서비스를 제공하려 한다.
