가스터빈 연소실 냉각을 위한 충돌제트/유출냉각기법에서 사각핀 설치에 따른 열/물질전달 특성 (Heat/Mass Transfer Characteristics in Impingement/Effusion Cooling System with Rectangular Fins for Combustor Liner Cooling)

  • The present study has been performed to investigate the influences of rectangular fins on heat transfer in an impingement/effusion cooling system with crossflow. To simulate the impingement/effusion cooling system with initial crossflow, two perforated plates are placed in parallel and staggered arrangements with a gap distance of 2 times of the hole diameter. The crossflow passes between the plates, and various rectangular fins are installed on the plates. Reynolds number based on the hole diameter is fixed to 10,000 and the flow rate of crossflow is changed from 0.5 to 1.5 times of that of the impinging jet. A naphthalene sublimation method is used to obtain the heat/mass transfer coefficients on the effusion plate. Also to analyze the flow characteristics, a numerical calculation is performed. When rectangular fins are installed, the flow and heat transfer pattern is changed greatly from the case without fins. In the injection hole region, the jet impinges on effusion plate without deflection and wall jet spreads symmetrically. In the effusion region, the crossflow accelerates due to the decrease of cross-sectional area in the channel. Local heat/mass transfer coefficients are enhanced significantly compared to the case without fins. As the blowing ratio increases, the effect of rectangular fins against the crossflow becomes more significant and then the higher average heat/mass transfer coefficients are obtained than the case without fins. However, the increase of blockage effect gives more pressure loss in the channel.

  • 포항공과대학교 풍력특성화대학원에서는 3MW급 외전형 영구자석 동기발전기 설계를 진행하고 있다. 여기서 외전형이란 RFPM 발전기에서 회전자가 바깥에서 회전하는 형태로 기존의 RFPM 발전기와 비교하여 같은 공극직경에 더 많은 자석을 채택할 수 있고, 회전자와 터빈 블레이드를 직접 연결이 가능하다. 또한, 회전자를 외부에 노출 시킬 수 있으므로 냉각에 유리한 면이 있다. 설계 변수 중 출력과 회전수를 고정시키고 각 극수와 공극 직경, 전압을 변화함에 따른 전기적 특성을 비교하고, 그 중 최적의 모델을 선택한다. 선택된 모델의 전자기장 해석, 손실 계산, 열분석을 수행한다. 본 논문에서는 각 경우에 따른 결과를 비교하고 최적 모델에 대한 해석 결과에 대해 요약한다.

액체로켓엔진 단일추진제 가스발생기 설계에 관한 고찰

  • 액체로켓엔진의 단일추진제 가스발생기는 연료공급 시스템의 터보펌프를 구동시키기 위한 작동가스 생성을 목적으로 사용된다. 고체추진제 가스발생기와 비교할 경우 작동시간이 보다 길고 연소생성물에 의한 터빈 블레이드의 삭마가 없으며 제어가 용이하므로 초기 액체로켓엔진 개발시부터 사용되어 왔다. 80년대 이후 개발된 액체로켓엔진은 이원추진제 가스발생기 또는 연소가스 FEEDBACK 시스템을 채용하고 있지만 단일추진제 가스발생기는 과산화수소수 또는 하이드라진과 같은 별도의 추진제 공급 시스템을 필요로 하는 단점에도 불구하고 상대적으로 낮은 온도의 무연 작동 가스를 발생하므로 가스발생기 자체를 위한 냉각시스템을 제거 또는 최소화 시켜 간단한 구조로 전체 시스템 설계를 가능하게 하므로 중소형 액체로켓엔진에 사용되고 있다.

  • 회전열파이크는 전기모터, 고온가스터빈 등의 냉각에 이용함으로써 성능개선을 얻을 수 있다는 점에서 지난 20년 동안 많은 연구가 이루어져왔다. 그동안 내부벽면형상개발은 Taper를 설치하거나, 계단식 단면변화 또는 Impeller설치와 같은 기술들이 연구되었다. 본 연구는 회전 열파이프 용기내벽에 Coil Insert를 설치하여 응축액막 유동효과에 대한 가시화실험 및 열전달 성능실험을 통하여 그 특성을 검토하였고 아래와 같은 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 1) Pool 영역에서는 Coil Insert에 의한 축방향 펌프효과가 매우 크며, 그 효과는 나선각이 클수록 크게 나타난다. 2) Coil Insert는 Pool에서 환상류로 천이를 촉진시키며, 나선각이 클수록 그 효과가 크게 나타난다. 3) Coil insert 열파이프의 열저항에 미치는 효과는 크지 않은 것으로 보인다. 4) Coil Insert에 의해 Dry-out한계의 증가가 예상되지만, 실험장치의 열부하한계에 의해 확인할 수 없었다.

  • This study presents gas turbine cooling blade by using experimental and numerical works. The review cover researches related to cooling channels using finite element method in rotating blade. Also, the film cooling device and the heat transfer of the external surface of the blade are included. In addition, several methods to be used for the design of the blade, numerical method and experimental techniques are introduced. This work will contribute to improving the manufacturing of engine and the efficiency of gas turbine engines.

  • An ejector is designed for the purpose of engine bay cooling and exhaust gas cooling. The primary flow of the ejector is the exhaust gas of the turboshaft engine. The mass flow of secondary flow is calculated by using the approximate analytic equation. For the purpose of verification of approximate method, comparison is made with the results of Navier-Stokes turbulent flow solution. According to the results of CFD, the mixing of two flows is incomplete due to the short length of mixing duct.

  • The strengthened regulations for atmospheric emissions from ships like MARPOL Annex VI have caused a necessity of new, alternative power system in ships for the low pollutant emissions and the high energy efficiency. This paper attempts to investigate the configuration of SOFC/GT hybrid power system for LNG tanker taking into account the safety and to analyze the influence of design parameters on the system performance. The simulation results provide the basic data for the design and efficiency improvement of SOFC/GT hybrid system and indicate the guidelines for the safe system operation.

  • Wind power system is generally divided into the onshore wind turbine and the offshore wind turbine according to site locations. The offshore wind turbine is manufactured as a closed nacelle cooling system including a heat exchanger to prevent corrosion, but the onshore wind turbine is manufactured as open nacelle cooling system dependent on only the outdoor air without a heat exchanger. The indoor of a nacelle which is composed of a generator, foil power converters and a gearbox with a lot of heat is very narrow and airtight. This aim of the study is to demonstrate the temperature effect depending on positions of air-supply and exhaust ports. And this study discusses the flow field and removal efficiency of heat caused by components.

  • The effect of inlet velocity profile on the heat transfer coefficient in a rotating smooth channel was investigated experimentally. Three simulated inlet flow conditions of fully developed, uniform, and distorted inlet conditions were tested. The Reynolds number based on the channel hydraulic diameter was ranged from 10,000 to 30,000 and the transient liquid crystal technique was used to measure the distribution of the heat transfer coefficient in the rotating channel. Results showed that the overall heat transfer coefficient increased as the Reynolds number increased. Also, the distribution of the heat transfer coefficient was strongly affected by the inlet flow condition. Generally, the fully developed flow simulated condition showed the highest heat transfer coefficient.
