An experience in the laughter therapy by elderly of senior citizen's center (일개 경로당 이용 노인의 웃음치료 참여 경험)

  • The objective of this study was to understand the fundamental aspects of the laughter therapy using the Van Manen's hermeneutic phenomenological method. Participants of this study included twelve elderly people-four men and eight women-who agreed to participate in this study underwent laughter therapy at a senior citizen's center. Data were collected through focus interviews, a literary work, and a work of art. The essential themes of this study are a healthy life (restoration of health, refreshed feeling), a happy life (stress relief, put idle thoughts out of one's mind, vitality in daily routine, double pleasure through laughter, re-juvenescence with reminiscence), and a wishful life (became optimistic while leaving behind suffering, look forward to things). Healthy life was defined as experiencing the basic motive power of life, happy life was defined as experiencing delightfulness through relationships with others and empathy, and wishful life was defined as experiencing an affirmative life integration through overcoming suffering from losses. In conclusion, laughter therapy showed to improve health, personal relations and life integration for elderly people. Therefore, utilization of laughter therapy will help to improve independence and self-esteem in elderly people.

The Analysis about Factors That Influence the Motive of Partner Homicide (배우자살인의 동기에 영향을 미치는 요인분석)

  • This study explained about the different motive of partner homicide and this homicide's elements which are feature of human sociology, home environment, school life and partner's trouble causes. After analyzed these element which affect to the motive of partner homicide, we couldn't find statistical differences of partner homicide motive by sex, having a job. However, there are small gap in an age group. Almost the homicide by expressive motive was a primary factor in the whole mass but, in the age of 40's, 11.1% is by the homicide of instrumental motive in the partner homicide. We need some more detail analysis and the partner murderer who growed up in very poor home circumstances commit Homicide by 100% expressive motive. This result suggested that murderer who was in the inferior home environment can do murder more easier than normal because of their emotional reason which are urgent, impulsive and contingent. On the other hand, their school life behavior during a growth process was useless for explain the motive of partner homicide. On one side, we could confirm that partner's trouble cause is a very useful element for explain the partner homicide, that is, if the if the level of conflict with partner's were high, the murder by expressive motive will grow up. But we must see the fact that the partner homicide's rate is 13.3% by instrumental motive in the low trouble causes very carefully for understand the partner homicide.

A Study on the Analysis of Effectiveness of 4-H Seoul Field-Experiential Learning Program (『4-H청소년 서울현장체험학습』 프로그램의 효과 분석 -청소년인증수련활동 효과성 측정도구를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze effectiveness of 4-H Seoul Field-Experiential Learning Program(4-H SFELP). The effectiveness scale of youth accredited activity was applied to analyze the effectiveness and satisfaction of the program. After screening the data, 155 responses were used to analyze the data for this study. The major findings of this study were as follows. First, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of global leadership, initiative in exchange, and understanding other cultures which are related with effectiveness of youth exchange activity. Second, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of confidence, challenge spirit, achievement motivation, and collective leadership which are related with effectiveness of youth adventure and challenge activity. Third, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of problem-solving skills, morality, other-respect, and self-respect which are related with effectiveness of youth self-improvement activity. Fourth, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of self-efficacy and autonomy but has not effects on the level of inquiring mind of participants. All these findings were discussed for youth workers and researchers.

  • 카툰 렌더링 그래픽을 기반으로 한 온라인 RPG 게임인 마비노기에서는 게임이용자들이 염색 시스템을 통하여 의복아이템에 자신들이 원하는 색을 자유롭게 표현할 수 있다. 마비노기에서 색에 관련된 주목할 만한 현상은유행색이 존재하고 색에 따라 같은 아이템의 가격이 달라진다는 점이다. 유행색이 존재하는 것은 현실과 비슷하지만 같은 아이템이 색에 따라 가격이 달라지는 것은 현실에서는 보기 드물다. 이는 현실과 비슷하면서도 심리적인 속성이 다른 사이버공간만의 특징이라고 생각해 볼 수 있다. 따라서 마비노기에서 게임이용자들이 색을 선택하고 사용할 때 작용하는 심리기제가 존재할 것이라고 가정해 볼 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 마비노기에서 색 선택 행동의 심리적 유형을 확인하고 유형별 특징을 알아보기 위해 자아존중감을 측정하였다. 예비 조사를 통해 게임이용자 20명과 온라인 인터뷰를 실시하여 색 사용 경험을 추출하고, 추출한 경험을 바탕으로 18문항의 색 선택 행동 문항을 구성하였다. 본 조사에서는 온라인 설문으로 129명의 게임이용자를 대상으로 색 선택 행동과 자아존중감을 측정하였다. 연구 결과 색 선택 행동은 4개의 요인-색채 둔감성, 유행추종, 개성표현, 캐릭터이미지와의 적합성-으로 구분되었다. 색선택 행동 4개의 하위 요인을 기준으로 군집분석한 결과 색 선택 행동 유형은 각각 색 분화형, 유행추종형, 색 둔감형으로 구분되었다. 색 선택 행동 유형과 자아존중감과의 관계에서는 자아존중감 하위 범주 중 부정적인 자기평가, 타인의 의견에 대한 걱정, 의존성의 세 가지 하위 범주에서 색 선택 행동 유형에 따른 차이가 유의미하게 나타났다. 한편 자의식 차원에서는 색 선택 행동 유형간 유의미한 차이가 발견되지 않았다. 유행추종형은 다른 두 유형에 비해 상대적으로 자아존중감 수준이 낮음을 확인할 수 있었다. 반대로 색 둔감형은 다른 두 유형에 비해 상대적으로 자아 존중감 수준이 높았다. 색 분화형은 유행추종형과 색 둔감형의 중간 수준의 자아존중감을 볼 수 있었다. 유행추종형은 자기의 외부에서, 색 둔감형은 자기의 내부에서 색과 관련된 자신에 대한 가치감의 소재와 근원을 찾는 특성이 있다고 해석할 수 있다. 본 연구는 온라인 RPG 게임에서 게임이용자들의 색 선택의 심리적 기제를 확인하고 색 선택 유형별로 자아존중감과의 관계를 확인함으로써 색 선택 행동의 심리적 기제를 밝히려는 기초연구라는 점에 의의가 있다. 추후에는 게임이용자들의 색 선택 행동을 보다 포괄적으로 이해하기 위해 게임이용자들이 가지고 있는 공통적인 색이미지와 개별적인 색이미지 및 색이미지의 심리적 구조를 알아보기 위한 색채감성연구가 필요할 것이다. 이러한 연구들은 게임을 제작할 때 캐릭터 디자인과 아이템 디자인에 어떠한 색을 사용해야 되는지 방향을 설정하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

The Effects of Multicultural Education Based on 'World Cultures' Project Activities on Young Children's Multicultural Acceptability and Caring Thinking (세계 여러나라 프로젝트 활동이 유아의 다문화 수용성과 배려적 사고에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of multicultural education based on 'World Cultures' project activities on young children's multicultural acceptability and caring thinking. This study's research questions are: 1) How do 'World Cultures' project activities affect young children's multicultural acceptability?; 2) How do 'World Cultures' project activities affect young children's caring thinking? The participants were thirty-five five year olds in a day care center in Y city, Gyounggi-do and were divided into two groups. The experimental group participated in a 'World Cultures' project, whereas the control group performed activities of 'Fall' and 'World Cultures' themes of Nuri Curriculum. The measurement of multicultural acceptability was developed by Kim and Jung (2010) for elementary school students, and revised and supplemented for young children by Bak (2013). The instrument of caring thinking originated with Lipman (2003) and was translated and modified by Lee (2007). Data was analyzed using the SPSS Win 18.0, and t-tests were performed to compare the means of the two groups. Results of this study are: first, there were statistical differences in multicultural openness and multicultural relationship skills between the groups. The experimental group scores were higher than those of the control group. However, there were no significant differences in multicultural awareness and multicultural empathy. Second, there was a statistically significant difference in care thinking between the experimental group and the control group. The score for the experimental group was higher than the score for the comparative group. This result verified that "World Cultures" project activities show a positive impact on multicultural acceptability-the proper understanding and acceptance of foreign cultures. In addition, the project activities have a positive impact on caring thinking, which was related, not only to understanding and accepting other races, but also to respecting and understanding others' emotions.

The Potential Driving Behavior Analysis of Novice Driver using a Driving Simulator (차량시뮬레이터를 이용한 초보운전자의 잠재적 운전행동 분석)

  • In this study, It is conducted for novice drivers about driving behavior and psychological characteristics analysis to reduce traffic accident risk and provide the basic data of education program development. Therefore, this study classified by the category-specific characteristics and hazard prediction through survey of the novice driver and unpredictable behavior and psychological characteristics were studied. The novice and general characteristics and driving behavior with vehicle simulators, comparison and analysis of the novice driver traffic safety education basic research direction based on the statistical results. Prediction the results of this study, the Hazard of the driver, speeding, traffic violation, information providing omission, abrupt change, the number of accidents in all areas novice driver is high compared to the general driver. In addition, Novice driver showed a statistically significant level of Hazard compared to the general driver target novice drivers and the general ability to predict Hazard of violation, abrupt change, and a number of traffic accidents were omitted level of speeding and other information providing level drivers all showed similar results. Vehicle simulator. The experimental results showed that novice drivers compared to drivers poorly overall driving performance. It showed a notable difference in the number of collisions, especially novice drivers compared to drivers in complex road traffic conditions due to a lack of driving experience and learning ability are considered.

The effect of Emotional Leadership of Dental Hygienist on job satisfaction (치과위생사의 감성리더십이 직무만족에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigated the effect of emotional leadership on the job satisfaction of dental hygienists. Therefore, we tried to determine a way to improve job satisfaction through emotional leadership, which is one of the skills that dental hygienists should have. The study subjects were 237 dental hygienists working in dental clinics in Jeollabuk-do from April 16, 2018 to April 28, 2018. The data was analyzed using the SPSS 12.0 program. The following results were obtained. The emotional leadership of the subjects was lowest for leadership ability (3.15), and the average job satisfaction was 3.43. Salary levels were low, ranging from 2.49 to 2.98. The final academic achievement and dental career had significant influences on emotional leadership (p<0.05). Marital status, self-cognition ability, self-management ability, and relationship management ability influenced the subjects' job satisfaction. The explanatory power of the multiple regression model was 26.5% and the validity of the model was statistically significant (p<0.05). Based on the above results, it was determined that self-recognition ability, self-management ability and relationship management ability of emotional leadership are all highly related to the job satisfaction of dental hygienists. Thus, emotional leadership of dental hygienists can be strengthened to enhance empathy, understanding and management of others' feelings. Therefore, institutional support should be provided for developing an emotional leadership program based on education and training.

  • This study aims to take a look at the esthetics of communication in Bastien $Viv{\grave{e}}s$. Bastien $Viv{\grave{e}}s$ is the famous author of the graphic novel in France. Then this paper studies both of expressive properties and narrative strategy in Bastien $Viv{\grave{e}}s$ "Elle(s)", "Les $go{\hat{u}}t$ du chlore" and "Dans mes yeux" that have been recognized the series 'story of young love'. His characteristic style is the detail and delicate description of emotions in the visual expression and the narrative. His story is mainly about the love of the young(adolescent) and the communication of man and woman. Through these three books, he wants to describe how important the communication is to man and woman who are falling in love. He gives a talk about the pain of first love(and puppy love) with the simple structure like the freinds' casual activities. And with open-ending, he leaves something to the imagination for readers. This strategy evoke a feeling of first love in the readers. At these last scenes, a bond of sympathy is developing between readers. Finally, we have failed to communicate with her in first love.

Social Stigma on People with Mental Disorder (정신장애인에 대한 사회편견 연구)

  • This study was designed to find out a degree of social stigman on people with mental disorder. Many comparisons were made. The first was a comparison with the stigma on the physically disabled. And the differences between general public, the mentally ill, their families, and professionals were explored. Among general public attitudes, the sociodemographic and regional differences were also explored. The subject was 600 people, including 300 general public, 100 mentally ill, 100 families, 100 professionals. They were evenly distributed to 3 regions - big city, urban area, and rural area. The data were collected by a survey questionnaire consisting of the Attitude toward People with Mental Illness Scale, and the Attitude toward People with Physical Disabilities Scale. The analysis showed that the public attitude toward the mentally ill was quite acceptable. Social stigma was low in areas like accepting his/her human right. But the public also showed low acceptance on areas in allowing social functioning roles, and social integration. High stigma on the hospitalized mentally ill was expressed to those hospitalized patients regarding divorce against their will. However, volunteer experiences with this population seemed influential in high acceptance and low stigma. In comparison with the stigma on people with physical disabilities, the results showed. different levels in different areas. In regional comparison, the results showed that big city is the lowest among three. And the results of urban and rural area revealed different levels in different areas. In regard to self-stigma, while the subjects expressed low in general, they revealed high on areas like relating with others. Based on the findings, the study would conclude that mental health policy should be community-based, social integration oriented policy instead of in-patient oriented policy. Moreover, the professionals should intervene on the elements affecting both negative and positive attitudes.

The Effects of Design Thinking in High School Chemistry Classes (디자인씽킹 기반 고등학교 화학 수업의 효과 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine 'Design Thinking' based Chemistry Class program as an education strategy for core competence of creative convergence talent. The program stages were modified and supplemented into eight stages, including 'Knowledge Understand', 'Empathy', 'Sharing perspective', 'Ideate', '1st Prototype', '1st Test', '2nd Prototype', and '2nd Test', so that the 'Design Thinking Process in Science Education' can be applied to the chemistry class. Considering the linkage between the 2015 and 2009 revised national curriculum, the achievement criteria were selected, and the lesson plans and student activity sheet were developed according to the themes to be met. Four thematic educational programs were developed and applied to Chemistry I for the second grade of high school students from March to August. The results were verified through qualitative data analysis of the class scene and pre- and post-test based on inventories of 'Empathy' 'STEAM educational competence', 'Problem solving process'. As a result of applying the developed program, 'empathy' showed a significant improvement in empathy with others and empathy with the problem situation. In 'STEAM educational competence', there was a significant enhancement in science and design competence. In the 'problem finding process', the problem definition, problem solution design, and problem-solving review were significantly improved in the 'problem-solving process'. The results of this study provided implications for the applicability of design thinking - based chemistry classes and its educational effect.
