  • ITER AC/DC Converter Local Controller는 ITER 토카막 초전도 코일 전류를 제어하는 것으로 코일 전류 충전, 유지, 방전 및 보호 동작이 요구되며 토카막 제어실에서 Real time 통신으로 명령되는 실시간 전압 명령을 추종해야 한다. 대용량 Utility 및 대전류 초전도 코일 실부하에서 제어기 개발 시험은 불가능하므로 RTDS를 이용하여 제어기의 성능을 검증할 수 있다. 본 논문은 RTDS를 이용하여 전원 장치 제어기의 시험 된 내용을 논의 하고자 한다.

The Effects of a Launching Nose on Main Girder Erected by Incremental Launching Method (압출공법에 의한 가설시 추진코가 주형에 미치는 영향)

  • Since the structural system of a prestressed concrete bridge erected by Incremental Launching Method is varying continuosly during construction, the main girder bears alternating stress resultants different from those under a service load condition. The magnitude of these stress resultants depends on span lengths, nose length and stiffness ratios between girder and nose. A parametric study is performed for various span lengths, nose lengths and stiffness ratios. In order to analyze structural systems varying at every launching step two programs are developed; a pre-processor which automatically produces a data file for each stage and a main-processor which can summarize the results of all stages. From the results, the relationships between optimum nose length and stiffness ratio are proposed for various span lengths.

  • The IEEE 1451.4 standards defines an architectural model for interfacing smart transducers for sensors & actuators. This standard allows analogue transducers to communicate their identification and calibration data in a digital format. A digital format is called TEDS(transducer electronic data sheet). However, the standard template of IEEE 1451.4 TEDS do not supports gas sensors to use in electronic nose system such as may sensors. In this paper, a solution to standardize sensors for electronic nose systems is presented.

  • We derive an equation that predicts the induced voltage across the receiving terminals of the three-coil head of a metal detector using a magnetic vector potential approach. We also derive an equation that relates the change of the impedance of the transmitting coil to the properties of the metal. We utilize the results to obtain the optimum spacing between the driving and the receiving coils at which the maximum induced voltage is attained. Further, we determine the position of the metallic object where the voltage reaches its peak. We verify our work by comparing the results with those of a previous work.

  • In this paper, we introduce a novel feeding method for a broadband planar quasi-Yagi antenna (QYA) for terrestrial digital television (DTV) receiving. The balun between the balanced coplanar strip (CPS) line feeding the driver dipole and the unblanaced microstrip line is a rectangular patch inserted into the CPS line along the center of the CPS. The end of the balun is connected to the CPS line through a shorting pin. The effects of various geometrical parameters and balun on the antenna characteristics are examined. An antenna, as an design example for the proposed antenna, is designed for the operation in the frequency band of 470-806 MHz for terrestrial DTV.

  • This paper presents a synchronization method to determine the exact demodulation time using the MFM Flag of the 18000-3 PJM mode, along with the hardware structure to implement the proposed method. The proposed system detects an incipient peak using ITS(Initial Time Selector) and a correlator and achieves the final synchronization via identifying the peak position from the comparison of the outputs of two followed additional correlators. The peak detection algorithm and the choice of the templates of the correlators are described. Simulation results show that the proposed system performs successfully in noisy environment.

  • Choropleth map is a type of thematic maps in which areal units are shaded with a color or pattern that symbolizes some characteristic of the mapped unit. CMS was first developed to produce choropleth maps on ordinary microcomputer environments in 1988. Since then there have been significant technological developments and enhancements in user environments, which have affected the field of choropleth mapping systems posi¬tively. A new version of CMS was developed in accordance with these changes. CMS II requires an IBM PC, or compatible, with the minimum 640KB memory and VGA graphic board. It supports HP laser jet printers to output a high resolution map. The program can use Hangul letters for main menu, map title, and legend. And dBase file format (DEW) was implemented to exchange attribute files effectively.

  • Recently, wireless power transmission system is gradually extended to technology in various fields such as lighting field, electric vehicles and smartphones wireless charging system. The largest of the two elements for high transmission efficiency of the wireless power transmission system are resonant coils and power amplifiers. In this paper, in order to build a high efficient wireless power transmission system, we introduce the resonance coil manufacturing method and high efficiency power amplifier design method that operates at 6.78MHz.

  • Irrigation management methods controlled by integrated solar radiation (ISR) or drainage level sensor were evaluated in rockwool or coir bag culture as tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) production system. Substrate water content and drainage percentage were more stable in the drainage level sensor method than in the ISR method regardless of substrate type. Total yield and marketable yield were high in the drainage level sensor method, but not between substrates in the same irrigation management method. Sugar content was affected more by the substrate type than irrigation method. The drainage level sensor method was elucidated to be better than the ISR method regardless of substrate type.

  • In this paper, we analyzed characteristic of window type current transformer and we performed the optimal design consider to the loss; in order to design the current transformer figured signal of overcurrent warning circuit. The core size of window type current transformer was determined by the secondary coil turns. We analyzed current waveform, which is appeared by the number of coil turns on the core, we made sure the relation of secondary coil turns and load resistance in order to improve the non-sinusoidal wave by the flux saturation of the current transformer core. Additionally, we did improvement of the accuracy and optimal design through the transformation of the inner diameter and the stack length when the outer diameter of core is sustaining.
