"스마트"라는 단어는 최근에 우리가 접하고 있으면서 여러 매체에서 가장 두드러지게 사용되는 단어라고 할 수 있다. 최근 우리 사회에서 스마트(smart)란 단어가 들어가는 제품들 - 스마트 폰, 스마트 TV, 스마트 그리드, 스마트 키 등 - 을 보면서 과연 스마트란 어떠한 기술일까 궁금하지 않을 수 없을 것이다. 따라서 본 연구에서 스마트 기술이란 무엇인지를 간략하게 기술하였다. 더불어 최근엔 융합사회로의 진화 - 스마트 자동차, 스마트 홈, 스마트 조선, 스마트 러닝 혹은 교육 - 현상이 강조되고 있는 요즘, 본 연구에서는 스마트 융복합의 특성을 지닌 제품들의 동향 및 미래상을 간략하게 기술하였다.

텔레매틱스 서비스의 주요 기술 중 하나가 텔레매틱스 단말과 관련된 기술이다. IT의 급속한 발전과 다양한 기술의 컨버젼스는 텔레매틱스 서비스의 첨단화를 가지고 올 것이다. 따라서, 텔레매틱스 단말에 대한 정확한 기술적 범위 및 다양한 환경에 대한 상호운용성 및 확장성을 고려한 개방형의 시스템이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 텔레매틱스 단말 플랫폼 환경을 구축하는데 있어서, 핵심인 텔레매틱스 단말 S/W플랫폼의 요구기능에 대하여 설계하였다. 이는 텔레매틱스 단말 표준화 추진의 일환으로 국내 표준 아키텍쳐 설계를 기반하여, 현재 ETRI를 중심으로 연구개발 중인 텔레매틱스 단말 플랫폼 기술개발과 국제 관련 기술개발 현황 등을 고려한, 상호 운용성 및 확장성이 가능한 개방형 텔레매틱스 단말 플랫폼의 요구기능을 정의한 것이다. 이는 국내 시장뿐만 아니라, 국제적으로 부재한 텔레매틱스 단말 플랫폼의 아키텍쳐 설계 및 API 개발을 통해 국제경쟁력 강화에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다.

In this paper, we proposed the next generation mobile convergence service business model creation methodology. In order to establish such a business model creation methodology framework, we first introduce the service model based on our previous research results on next generation mobile convergence services. The service model contains several components such as infrastructures, operations, and provision of services that are indispensible for providing the next generation mobile services. Finally, by adding service and value flows to the developed service model, we propose the next generation mobile services business model creation methodology. To achieve this objective, we first derive necessary components of business model including actors, their relationships, and roles. In addition, we propose service composition methodology for creating new mobile services and its corresponding business models.

다양한 컨텐츠를 재생하는 모바일 기기나 컨버젼스 제품들의 주요 특징으로, 주요 메뉴 외 다수의 부가 메뉴가 제공된다. 이에 사용자는 원하는 컨텐츠를 감상하기 위하여 메뉴 선택하는 단계를 거치게 되며, 이를 수행하기 위해 컨트롤러를 이용하여 화면상에 디스플레이 되는 객체를 검색하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 검색 상황에서 사용자 의지가 개입된 개인 멜로디를 출력함으로써 검색 인터페이스에 대한 사용자의 접근성을 높이고자 하였다. 이에 고안된 인터페이스는 범용의4방향 버튼을 활용하여 각각의 메뉴에 사용자가 임의로 고유 음계를 지정할 수 있게 하였다. 지정이 완료된 후 사용자에 의해 컨트롤러를 고속으로 변경 시 메뉴들은 지정된 멜로디를 출력하게 되며 이때의 출력음들이 모여 개인 멜로디가 생성된다. 본 논문을 통해 사용자 의지가 개입된 개인 멜로디를 생성하는 인터페이스의 개발 과정을 기술하고자 한다.

This paper describes a digital convergence platform(DCP) which is implemented based on the MPEG-21 multimedia framework. DCP is a newly proposed solution in this research for the convergence service of future home multimedia environment. DCP is a common platform designed to have the feature of reconfigurability, by means of S/W. which supports to run diverse digital multimedia services. A distributed peer to peer service and transaction model is also a new feature realized in DCP using the MPEG-21 multimedia framework. A prototype DCP is implemented to verify its functions of multimedia service and transactions. The developed DCPs are networked with IP clustering storage systems for the distributed service of multimedia. Successful streaming services of the MPEG-2/4 video and audio are verified with the implemented test-bed system of DCP.

TCG(Trusted Computing Group)는 더욱 안전한 컴퓨팅 환경의 구현을 목적으로 설립된 업계 컨소시엄으로, 데이터의 신뢰성을 제공하기 위하여 TPM(Trusted Platform Module)으로 불리는 신뢰의 기본을 제공하는 핵심 하드웨어의 사용을 제안하고 있다. 최근 모바일 디바이스의 성능 향상에 따라 다양한 응용들의 지원이 가능해지고, 네트워크를 통한 소프트웨어의 업데이트 및 응용프로그램의 다운로드 등이 가능한 개방형 플랫폼으로의 변화에 따른 디지털 컨버젼스는 TMP(Trusted Mobile Platform)라는 새로운 모바일 플랫폼용 규격의 사용을 필요로 하고 있다. 본 고에서는 기존 컴퓨팅 환경과 모바일 플랫폼에 핵심 보안 모듈인 TPM 기술의 국내 외 기술의 동향과 핵심 요소들에 대한 기술적 개념들을 살펴본다.

디지털 컨버젼스 시대에 다양한 기술들이 고정된 기기보다는 Mobile 기기들에 집중되고 있으며, 이에 따라 보다 효율적인 통신 방식에 대한 차세대 이동통신 기술표준의 중요성은 증가하고 있다. 흔히 기술표준과 관련한 필수특허(Essential Patent)란 기술표준규정에 따라 제품 또는 방법을 실시하는 경우 해당 특허의 claim을 침해하게 되는 특허를 의미한다. 표준필수특허는 개별 라이센싱(licensing)을 통해 활용될 수도, 특허풀(Patent Pool)을 통해 활용될 수도 있기 때문에 Prosecution단계에서부터 각 활용형태에 따른 고려가 필요하다. 한편, 표준필수특허의 창출 과정에서, 출원 후 보정을 통해 필수특허를 창출하는 것의 적법성, 묵시적 라이선스(Implied License) 문제, Claim의 주체 문제 등이 문제될 수 있으며, 각각에 따른 대응 전략이 필요하다. 또한, 표준필수특허의 활용과정에서 반독점법상 견제에 대응하기 위한 FRAND 조건, 선언 의무 위반 등이 문제될 수 있다. 본고에서는 표준필수특허의 창출 및 활용에 있어서 법률상 문제와 이에 대한 대응 전략에 대해 알아본다.

Due to enhanced high IT (information technology) development, IT-based technology convergences such as IT/ET(electric technology), IT/BT(biology technology) and IT/NT(nano technology) are actively merging trend and their applications spread wide. In this paper PLC (power line communication), one of the merging IT, is investigated as one of the potential IT candidates for IT/ET and IT/BT convergence technology for DLC (direct load control) or bio-medical engineering such as ubiquitous health cares or D2H2 (distributed diagnosis and home health care).

This paper proposes a method of implementation of digital convergence platform(DCP) which enable the service of broadcasting, communication, multimedia and home automation. Also digital convergence platform based on MPEG-21 multimedia framework can be a model to provide a distributed electronic commerce environment of multimedia and to manage of it. Platform hardware is implemented using a general purpose CPU and high performance digital signal processor and has peripheral units for network and multi I/O. It is able to run applications of multimedia which has variable formats on DSP. In addition, a personal transaction of multimedia packaged with MPEG-21 multimedia framework is provided on digital convergence platform. Like this, digital convergence platform bring up a new architecture of multimedia systems using a new generation network.

This paper proposes a Distributed Transaction models based on the multimedia framework (MPEG-21) in digital convergence environment. Digital media market is growing up rapidly according to the extension of internet and universality of multimedia contents. So, importance of the effective management with the production and distribution of produced multimedia contents is becoming larger. For effective management of multimedia contents, the multimedia contents which are represented with different standard each other can be processed adaptively in the variable network environment. A free compatibility among the different terminals and standards are the essential particular should be offered for the digital convergence environment. A multimedia framework supports this compatibility and various multimedia services. In this paper, the Distributed Transaction models that multimedia contents can be circulated among the individual users safely and freely are proposed and the relation technologies are described.
