  • The food purchase platform using the metaverse-based multinational student community is a metaverse purchase platform using the multinational food preference community. Through the use of this platform, it is expected to establish a community of multinational international students, a community of international student sellers, and foster a new industry of metaverse purchase platforms. The metaverse platform guarantees anonymity, is space-time-free, and can freely communicate with avatars to create a second business communication. In addition, by selling many kinds of favorite foods in small quantities, it customizes scarcity while reducing the burden of providing services and making it easier for international students to participate. This platform can enhance to more business opportunities using community manpower.

  • Considering the continuous increase of teenagers' Internet use and the high rate of their participation in online communities, educators need to devote efforts to minimize the negative function of teenagers' Internet use and to guide them to experience positive aspects of Internet. Through activities in online communities, teenagers can experience various socialities and explore their self-consciousness. However, on the other hand many communities do not provide teenagers with considerate care. This may cause conflict in their sense of value and mislead them. Through this study, online learning community is designed and developed, which can reflect teenagers' various needs and connect their needs with learning experiences. The community consists of the following categories: 'about e-Tivity'(community vision, general information, list of activities, Q&A), 'activity space for teens'(event hall, data park, e-Tivity center), 'administrative space for teachers and managers'(research room, management room), and 'teen's private space'(my room, my avatar).

  • This study examines how global fandom for Korean dramas is formed and maintained by examining the reason and purpose of voluntarily making the subtitles of Korean drama through in-depth email interviews with foreign subtitle producers(fan subber) working on a video site called Viki.com. The research focused on Viki's fan community, which has grown into the most influential Korean Wave platform. Collective intelligence expresses in the fan community produces more than professional results and they are acting as consumers, cultural producers, and second creators of K-content. In order to continue the spread of K-content, it needs to pay more attention to the long-term strategy of global fandom combined with the fan community activities of the new media platform and network effects.

  • I analyzed the results of the influences the community activities will have on students' participation and how much these influences will satisfy students in terms of learning in an e-learning-based environment. These results were based on former studies on this topic. I summarized the characteristics of community activities, the methods for motivating learning desire, and students' participation in the learning session. I found out that community activities can form intimacy, and that using cell phone text messages (SMS) and emails as learning methods can be a factor in students' participation.

  • This study investigated what factors influence the knowledge contribution in online communities. Based on the theoretical framework like self-presentation theory and organizational citizenship behavior theory, we developed the research model and proposed four hypotheses. In order to test our hypotheses with an empirical study, we have conducted a survey which resulted in 192 valid responses in the final sample. The PLS analysis results indicate that knowledge contribution is influenced by self-presentation, innovation, organizational citizenship behavior, and affection similarity of online community users. Practical implications of these findings and future research implications are also discussed.

  • In online communities, a large number of participants can exchange their opinion using replies without time and space restrictions. While the online space provides quick and free communication, it also easily triggers unnecessary quarrels and conflicts. The network established on the discussion participants is an important cue to analyze the confrontation and predict serious disputes. In this paper, we present a quantitative measure for polarity observed on the discussion network built from reply exchanges in online communities. The proposed method uses the comment exchange information to establish the user interaction network graph, computes its maximum spanning tree, and then performs vertex coloring to assign two colors to each node in order to divide the discussion participants into two subsets. Using the proportion of the comment exchanges across the partitioned user subsets, we compute the polarity measure, and quantify how discussion participants are bipolarized. Using experimental results, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our method for detecting polarization and show participants of a specific discussion subject tend to be divided into two camps when they debate.

  • Daytime activity services based on community care signify 'participatory integrated community care service' fused with diverse forms of community participation and care for adults with developmental disabilities after school graduation. They have the characteristics of lifelong care by life cycle in that adults with developmental disabilities 18 years and older receive daytime care and community participation programs. The purpose of this study is to examine community care based daytime activity services and to search for vitalization plans for daytime activity services that must unfold in the future for care programs that can be meaningful social participation opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. Through literature review, we analyzed the state of daytime and social activity of adults with developmental disabilities as community care.Based on these findings, we devised ways to improve the daytime activities for the significant daytime of adults with developmental disabilities. At this, it proposed an increase of activity support vouchers, daytime activity service time expansions, expanded budget formulation for an increased number of daytime activity service subjects, expanded applications for the prioritization of the 20% of those with the most severe developmental disabilities and the composition of separate teams, and the role reinforcement of support centers for people with developmental disabilities.
