A Study on the LIS Capstone Design Curriculum and the Learning Satisfaction Survey (문헌정보학 캡스톤디자인 교육과정 운영과 학습만족도 측정연구)

  • We had opened a course in the library and information science curriculum, developed and applied a syllabus and some manuals for this course, and analyzed the performance by conducting a survey before and after the training. As the results, first, the necessary components showed a positive relationship of 0.414 with the expected performance effects and showed a positive relationship of 0.452 with the expected learning outcomes. Second, the understanding degree of the Capstone Design course was 3.56 before implementing the curriculum. It was improved to 4.07 after implementing the educational courses. Third, the recognition of the components necessary for the Capstone Design course was improved from 4.13 to 4.39 after carrying out the course. Fourth, the perception of the expected performance effects of the Capstone Design course was improved from 3.77 to 3.88 after the course execution. Fifth, the perception of the expected learning outcomes of the Capstone Design course was improved from 3.79 to 4.22 after the course implementation.

  • The Capstone design, has become one of the most important topics in engineering education. The Capstone Design a course with a different format from the traditional form of education and, by integrating the training learned in the course of expertise. Through it, you will learn how to analyze and design solutions to possible problems arising from industry. It can improve the practical skills required in the industry. The students can participate in the educational process according to the pre-prepared curriculum, rather than passively receiving the education in the form of an active. In this paper, we check the operating status for the Capstone Design Education. The future, through the satisfaction evaluation model Capstone Design Capstone Design effective management plan is presented.

  • The Capstone Design courses in the final academic year of undergraduate engineering education provide students with a realistic design experience in which they can integrate and capitalize on the basic disciplinary material they have learned during their engineering program to synthesize a new product, device or process. The objective of this study is to assess the student satisfaction of Capstone Design courses. This paper briefly describes the history, administration and implementation of the Capstone Design courses in engineering colleges of Korea. It highlights the weaknesses of the Capstone Design courses and suggests improvements. To investigate the student satisfaction questionnaire was surveyed.

  • This paper introduces a case study on the development of the evaluation system for capstone design course which is usually provided at engineering education program. A capstone design is an engineering education course which aims to improve the students' ability on analysis and design of practical industrial problems by use of overall engineering knowledge which has been learned in undergraduate program. Firstly, this paper provides a literature review on evaluation indices and methods related with a capstone design course. Secondly, the evaluation system for learning outcomes of capstone design course is described. The evaluation system for learning outcomes of capstone design course provided in this paper could be referred by other universities opening a capstone design course, and used to design an evaluation system for internship program or education course which is provided as an industry-academic connection program.

  • The purpose of this paper is firstly to research the Capstone Design Learning Model which helps the students to acquire practical industrial skills and knowledge in real business fields, and secondly to analyze the qualitative effectiveness of this model in respect of knowledge, skill and attitude which NCS(National Competence Standards) suggest in industrial design field. In order to study, the second-year students taking the class 'Communication and Design Project(CDP)' of Industrial Design Major of DIT, took part in the Capstone Design Project and proceeded a project 'Character design of the entertainer Robert Holley' in cooperation with a relevant company and the professor in charge of this project. Through this research, it appeared that Capstone design related to visual design tasks improved the technical skills and competence of the students majoring in design. In other words, through analyzing questionnaire survey based on NCS, evaluation from relevant company, and awarding a prize of the design contest, we conclude that this instruction design and action plans have significant meanings to promote the students on-the-job competence.

  • The graduation project, which is the final results of the capstone design course, is not only the highest peak in university major education, but also criteria of the practical skills of fourth grader who is supposed to get a job in the future. Therefore, it is needed to operate a capstone design course that reflects industry requirements and its support system for cooperation with industry. In this study, we present a case of the capstone design course and the industry-academic capstone design program at the department of Information and Communication Engineering in Sungkyul University. At the time being transitioned from offline to online class due to COVID-19, we evaluate results of the capstone design class over the past three years and induce improvements for the further operation of the class. This study may contribute to be a practical reference for ICT-related departments that attempt to apply social demands in their capstone design course through industry-academic cooperation

  • 2015 개정 교육과정의 적용에 따라 학교 현장에 새로운 요구와 문제 상황이 예상되며, 이에 따라 정보 컴퓨터 교사양성과정도 적절하게 변화될 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 예비 정보교사들이 교육현장의 요구와 문제 상황에 대해 직접 고민하고 해결방법을 구안해보도록 하는 방법으로 캡스톤 디자인을 적용하였다. 이를 위해 현재 운영 중인 캡스톤 디자인 강의의 동향을 살펴보고 교과교육영역의 과목과 다루어야 할 정보교사의 자격기준을 살펴보았으며, 이를 바탕으로 캡스톤 디자인 정보교과 교재연구 강의를 설계하였다. 후속 연구로 설계한 강의를 예비 정보교사들에게 적용하고, 이에 대한 효과성을 검토할 것이다.

A Development of Creative Capstone Design Education (창의적 캡스톤 디자인 교육 방법 개발)

  • This paper discusses the creative capstone design education in Kongju National University and introduce a new operational capstone design education method. The result products are evaluated by self-evaluation and performance assessment that is based on the operational method and procedure of the project. The capstone design teams are comprised of 2~3 students with a individual major accomplishments. All teams are satisfied the criteria of evaluation. And their's self-satisfaction and questionaries are totally 3.88~4.44 point out of 5. Compared with the conduct of previous capstone design project that was not the industry affiliate, it provides students with industrial experience in design and development of industrial solution. And industrial partner must provide funds for student team to design, fabrication and test in next time.

  • 본 연구는 신산업분야 특화 선도전문대학 지원사업 연구를 통해 개발된 CK-AR/VR PBL 교수법을 팀 프로젝트 기반의 캡스톤디자인 정규 교과목 수업에 적용해봄으로써, 해당 교수법의 장점 및 문제점을 파악하고 활용방안을 모색하기 위해 진행되었다. CK-AR/VR PBL 교수법은 기존 PBL(문제중심수업) 교수법의 특징과 장점을 유지하고 AR/VR 게임콘텐츠 특성에 맞는 특징을 중심으로 구축된 교수법으로 15주 정규교과목 수업인 '취업과창업을위한차세대게임창작프로젝트(캡스톤디자인)' 수업과 '취업과창업을위한차세대게임 포스트프로덕션(캡스톤디자인)' 수업을 수강한 200여 명의 학생에게 적용하였고 장단점을 파악하게 되었다. 이를 바탕으로 게임 개발 팀 프로젝트 교육과정을 운영 중인 교육 관계자들이나 앞으로 유사한 교육과정을 운영하기 위해 준비 중인 교육 관계자들에게 조금이나마 도움을 주고자 한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 예비교사의 인공지능 융합교육 역량 강화를 위한 캡스톤 디자인 기법 활용 인공지능 융합교육 프로그램을 개발하고 효과를 검증하였다. 개발된 교육 프로그램은 예비교사들이 스크래치 프로그래밍과 머신러닝포키즈, 캡스톤 디자인의 이해를 바탕으로, 인공지능 활용 융합 수업을 위한 주제 선정, 수업 설계 및 개발 후, 마이크로티칭을 하고 동료 평가 및 피드백을 하도록 조직되었다. 이는 2022년 1학기 K대학의 교양 강좌를 수강하는 예비교사들에게 처치되었다. 그 결과, 실험 대상자들의 인공지능 교수효능감의 사전-사후 t-검정에서 통계적으로 유의한 효과가 있음을 확인되었다.
