드래그 토오크의 자동 성능시험기 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of the Automatic Performance-Test-Bench for Drag Torque)

  • Recently, the automotive industry has been developing rapidly. With the progress parts of the automobile components need high quality and the reliability. Among them, braking unit is essential device, and acquire the reliability through the performance test of brake. This study was aimed to design the performance-test-bench to measure the drag torque which has effect on caliper in braking unit. In this progressive technology, it is vital importance to use hydraulic and pneumatic, and to combine test bench with instrumentation engineering technology. This system to construct the design of hydraulic and pneumatic circuit, interface technique between sensors and personal computer, data acquisition and display design, and integrated control are very important technology. Moreover, reliable data are obtained through vacuum system and hydraulic and pneumatic system by using of booster and brake master cylinder which are actually applied to automobile. Then, data signal detector sensors for speed, pressure and torque is attached on this system. Therefore, in this study, we designed a performance-test-bench by and we also made an total control system using personal computer which is more progressive and flexible method than existing PLC control.

차량 비상제동을 위한 전자식 주차 브레이크 제어 시뮬레이터 설계 (Design of Electronic Parking Brake Control Simulator for Emergency Vehicle Braking)

  • In this paper, a simulator hardware and control design for an electronic parking brake (EPB) are proposed for emergency vehicle braking when the hydraulic break and anti-lock brake systems (ABS) fail to function. EPB systems are designed specifically for park braking and are usually installed on the rear wheels. However, in an emergency situation when all vehicle brake systems fail, the EPB can be utilized to stop the vehicle and track the target slip ratio as the ABS. This paper analyzed the non-linear EBP of the type of motor on caliper (MoC) based on experiments. A simulator hardware is also designed to validate the performance of the designed EPB controller in terms of braking distance and performance in tracking the target slip ratio. Through the experimental analysis, it is confirmed that a sliding mode controller can be applied on a non-linear EPB to track the target slip ratio.

제동성능 고급화 인자 분석을 통한 복합재 제동시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Composite Brake System through Analysis of advanced Braking Performance Factors)

  • The luxury car market has been steadily growing for the last 10 years and it might keep expanding in the future. Furthermore, it is expected to be a very competitive market because luxury cars are considred to reflect the technology level of motor companies. For this reason, it is very important for motor companies to improve performances of luxury vehicles. However, it takes years for the companies to increase the technology level for the high performances. In this paper, we aim to analyze the technologies for high quality brake perfomances through investigation of two luxury vehicle models and develop a new high performance brake system. First, we found out a variety of effective factors for the high performances. Second, we conducted the brake performance analysis to figure out the relationship between brake effort and brake feeling. Finally, we develped the new brake system using carbon ceramic composite materials to satisfy the high quality brake performances.

  • 가스 배관 진단 시스템은 배관 내부에 투입되어 배관 내부의 여러 정보를 수집한다. 배관 진단을 위한 센서로는 배관 내부의 상태를 측정하는 캘리퍼(caliper) 센서와 온도, 압력센서가 있다. 그리고 정확한 위치 정보를 제공할 수 있는 IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit)와 주행 거리계를 사용하는 결합 항법 시스템도 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 가스 배관 진단시스템을 위한 항법 데이터 저장 시스템을 개발한다. 항법 데이터 저장 시스템은 실시간 동작을 위하여 마스터/슬레이브 구조를 가진다. 마스터 시스템은 항법 데이터를 저장하거나 통신하는데 사용하며 슬레이브 시스템은 센서 데이터를 처리한다. 개발된 항법 데이터 저장 시스템의 성능은 Pull Rig 실험을 통하여 검증한다.

  • 가스 배관 진단 시스템은 배관 내부에 삽입되어 배관 내에 주입된 가스에 의해 추진되는 시스템으로 배관의 건설, 유지, 보수, 해체 등의 작업을 위한 여러 정보를 수집한다. 배관 진단을 위한 대표적인 센서로는 배관 내부의 찌그러짐(dent)과 주름(wrinkle)의 형태 및 크기를 측정하는 캘리퍼(caliper) 센서와 배관 외부의 파손을 측정하는 MFL(Magnetic Flus Leakage) 센서 그리고 배관 내의 환경 정보를 측정하기 위한 온도 센서와 압력 센서가 있다. 이러한 센서들로 수집된 정보를 활용하기 위해서는 정확한 위치 정보가 필요하므로 IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit)와 주행 거리계를 사용하는 결합 항법 시스템도 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 가스 배관 진단 시스템을 위한 항법 데이터 저장 시스템을 개발한다. 배관 진단 시스템의 특성상 일반적인 측정 센서는 700Hz 이상의 주기로 측정되고 항법 정보는 100Hz 주기 이상으로 측정되며 배관 내 이동 시간은 2시간에서 24시간 이상으로 다양하므로 많은 데이터를 효율적으로 저장할 수 있어야 한다. 따라서 데이터 저장 장치로는 DAT를 사용하게 되며 많은 센서 데이터를 실시간으로 저장하기 위해서 마스터-슬레이브 구조를 갖는 멀티 프로세서 구성을 이용한 항법 데이터 저장 시스템을 설계 제작하였다.

  • Transfer Path Analysis (TPA) is commonly used, by car makers and parts suppliers, analysis process to root the cause of NVH problems. In general, TPA is an analyzing technique to find the contributing factors of noise/vibration problems, and their transfer path in vehicle. However, not only TPA is used to analyze the source of NVH problems but also is used to predict NVH performance prior to the proto vehicle, or to set the development target for next new vehicle. Automotive parts manufacturing companies have to set NVH performance target when developing new systems just as car makers have NVH target set for new vehicle. Nevertheless, most of components are currently being developed based on subjective evaluation without an objective target. To judge the suitability of using TPA to set NVH target of electric parking brake, this research analyzed the transfer path by setting them in two points of view; Chassis Module and Electric Parking Brake, and comparing the measured value and calculated value. From this result, NVH target of electric parking brake will be approached in level of vehicle, system and component.

고성능 및 친환경 차량의 복합재 브레이크 안정감 향상을 위한 스퀼 노이즈 강건성 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Squeal Noise Robustness Analysis to Improve Composite Brake Stability of High Performance and Eco-Friendly Vehicles)

  • Composite material is very attractive because it has excellent mechanical property and is possible to lightweight due to the low density. However, composite material is less used compared to other systems in the chassis system because it is very hard to solve NVH problem when composite material is applied to vehicle. Especially, reducing squeal noise of composite brake system is essential to apply it to vehicle successfully. In this paper, we present a new solution to reduce squeal noise of composite brake system. To achieve this goal, we analyze main causes of noise using RCA (Root Cause Analysis), CA (Contradiction Analysis) and sequentially get IFR (Ideal Final Result) to solve the problem. Next, we define the function of composite brake system and derive control factors and noise factors. A variety of tests for factors like chamfer, slot, damping shim, underlayer of brake pad are done. In addition, we analyze level of contribution for control factors theoretically. Finally, we get the effective solution for reducing squeal noise.

실차 비교 및 검증을 통한 복합재 브레이크의 개발 효용성 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Analysis of Development Effectiveness of Composite Brake through Real Car Comparison and Verification)

  • Composite material is recently very important material for eco-friendly vehicles because of its excellent mechanical property and lightweight effect. So, many research results have been recently published for developing the composite material to apply vehicles. In this paper, new brake system is presented using composite material to response this situation. And advantages in terms of performance compared to competitive company will be discussed in depth to verify superiorities of the new composite brake. To do so, composite brake systems which have the same size as the competitive company to the same vehicle is applied. And superiorities through a variety of test results are presented. First, normal braking performances are compared with competitive company through braking effect, heat capacity and friction test, Second, circuit driving and high speed fade test are also verified with competitive company to confirm harsh braking performances for the new composite brake system. Finally, the effects of applying the composite brake to automobile industry like electric car are analyzed.

브레이크 캘리퍼에 장착한 비산먼지 포집기의 성능 평가 (Evaluation of the Performance of the Scattering Dust Collector Mounted on the Brake Caliper)

  • The main cause of scattering dust generated by transportation equipment such as automobiles was largely due to exhaust gas from internal combustion engines in the past, but it was generally recognized that non-exhaust causes such as abrasion of the tires or brake pads were low. Accordingly, scattering dust generated by exhaust gas has consistently existed in many studies, such as technological progress and related regulations, but research on non-exhaust is relatively insignificant, and the need for research on scattering dust generated by non-exhaust is emerging. In this study, a dust collector that can be easily mounted on a caliper to collect scattering dust generated by pad wear during the brake operation of an automobile was manufactured. In this study, we developed a dust collector that is easy to mount on calipers to collect scattering dust caused by pad wear during brake operation of automobiles. According to the installation of the manufactured dust collector, the performance of scattering dust by brake operation and the temperature change characteristics of calipers according to the structure of the dust collector were evaluated.

브레이크 디스크 커버의 제동 열손상에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Braking Thermal Damage of Brake Disk Cover)

  • 디스크 커버는 브레이크 디스크 및 캘리퍼를 보호하기 위해 설치하고, 고객에게 인도되기 직전에 제거된다. 본 연구에서 디스크 커버의 온도는 주행 시험 차량(2000cc, 디젤)을 대상으로 측정되었다. 주행 시험(120km/h-제동(0.3G)-정지-120km/h-제동(0.5G)-정지)에서 측정된 최고 온도는 디스크 커버 상부에서 $260{\sim}270^{\circ}C$이었고, 디스크 커버 주위에 상당한 변화를 보였다. 이는 고온 디스크로부터 커버로의 주요 열전달이 대류를 통해서임을 커버 주위의 온도 분포로부터 추론 할 수 있다. 즉, 마찰 제동에 의해 발생된 고온의 공기가 디스크 커버 상부까지 올라간 것이다. 그리고 주행 시험 중에 디스크 커버의 상부 영역만이 용융되었다. 디스크 커버의 두께를 0.7mm부터 1.0mm로 증가시키고, 마스킹 테이프 1장을 디스크 커버 상부 영역에 부착하였다. 그 후에 디스크 커버는 주행 시험 시 마찰 제동에 의해 형성된 고온의 공기에도 변형되지 않았다.
