  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the clustering and Big Five Personality domains in discriminating groups by level of school-related adjustment, as experienced by Social Sims game users. Social Games are based on web that has simple rules to play in fictional time and space background. This paper is to analyze the relationships between social networks and user behaviors through the social games . In general, characteristics of social games are simple, fun and easy to play, popular to the public, and based on personal connections in reality. These features of social games make themselves different from video games with one player or MMORPG with many unspecific players. Especially Social Game show a noticeable characteristic related to social learning. The object of this research is to provide a possibility that game that its social perspective can be strengthened in social game environment and analyze whether it actually influences on problem solving of real life problems, therefore suggesting its direction of alternative play means and positive simulation game. Data was collected by administering 4 questionnaires (the short version of BFI, Satisfaction with life, Career Decision-.Making Self-.Efficacy, Depression) to the participants who were 20 people in Seoul and Daejeon. For the purposes of the data analysis, both Stepwise Discriminant analysis and Cluster analysis was employed. Neuroticism, Openness, Conscientiousness within the Big Five Personality domains were seen to be significant variables when it came to discriminating the groups. These findings indicated that the short version of the BFI may be useful in understanding for game user behaviors When it comes to cultural research, digital game takes up a significant role. We can see that from the fact that game, which has only been considered as a leisure activity or commercial means, is being actively research for its methodological, social role and function. Among digital game's several meanings, one of the most noticeable ones is the research on its critical, social participating function. According to Jame Paul gee, the most important merit of game is 'projected identity'. This means that experiences from various perspectives is possible.[1] In his recent autobiography , he described gamer as an active problem solver. In addition, Gonzalo Francesca also suggested an alternative game developing method through 'game that conveys critical messages by strengthening critical reasons'. [2] They all provided evidences showing game can be a strong academic tool. Not only does a genre called social game exist in the field of media and Social Network Game, but there are also some efforts to positively evaluate its value Through these kinds of researches, we can study how game can give positive influence along with the change in its general perception, which would eventually lead to spreading healthy game culture and enabling fresh life experience. This would better bring out the educative side of the game and become a social communicative tool. The object of this game is to provide a possibility that the social aspect can be strengthened within the game environment and analyze whether it actually influences the problem solving of real life problems. Therefore suggesting it's direction of alternative play means positive game simulation.

  • Recently, as the number of female players has increased rapidly, the electronic gaming industry has begun to look at ways to appeal to the largely untapped female market. According to the latest game market investigative report by China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), the total number of game players in China increased by 24.8% in 2009, reached 69,130,000 people, and 38.9% of them are female players. This growth in the number of female player is corroborated by a series of investigative reports from IResearch Company in Shanghai, China: from 2003 to 2009, the number of female players grew from 8% to more than 49%. Therefore, no matter how much attention the game production companies have given to male players or how they have ignored the female players before, the companies would be sensible to face up this reality and adjust their marketing policy a bit more. This article analyzes gender preferences in video games which shows that male players are more likely to be attracted to elements of aggression, violence, competition and fast action in electronic game-playing, while female players are drawn to emotional and social aspects of the games such as an understanding of character relationships. The literatures cited indicates that female players also show apparent preference for games with familiar environments, games that allow players to work together, games that have more than one way to win, and games in which characters do not die. It also discusses the characteristics of female-friendly games from the aspect of emotion, pointing out that the simulation games involving pet, dressing-up, and social simulation games are very popular with female players. Because these are the most suitable game types to fill with emotions of love, share, jealousy, superiority, mystery, these are absolutely attractive to female players. Finally, in accord with the above, I propose some principles of designing female-oriented games, including presenting a good-looking leading character, making the story interesting with "live" NPCs(Non-Playing Characters), and finding ways to satisfy female nature instincts such as taking care of others and the inborn interest of classifying and selecting.

  • This paper is a study of the changing nature of software for virtual Cyborg self and the virtual body that occur in the game from a philosophical point of view. Looking broadly, the cyborg concept refers to the combination of man and machine. Specifically, there is a hardware cyborg organism to combine human and restoration of machine In addition, there is software cyborg by electronic the human brain of converting a virtual body. Virtual games are cases software-Cyborg applied. In the game , There seems to have characteristics of virtual body and ego that different from general cyborg meaning. To analyze the features, I applied the concept of software-cyborg of Hans morabek and the multiple selves in cyberspace properties of Kim Sun-Hee. generally, software cyborg cloning the brain type tended to invalidate the body due to the nature of the virtual world. But If you look at third-person's view and the game character that made from real actors, it is pursuing the realism of photographic images and it stressed the need for a virtual body in order to maintain the psychological identity of the player. And, The game player crosses the eight characters to choose while completing the mission. This is a big role in the reality ego leads to the desired final ending with the selection and experience to be experienced as self-replication to multiple.   • With the media's shift into the digital era in the 2000s, comic book publishers attempted a transition into the new medium by establishing a distribution structure using internet networks. But that effort shied from escaping the parallel-page reading structure of traditional comics. On the other hand, webtoons are showing divers changes by redesigning the structure of traditional sequential art media; they tend to separate and allot spaces according to the vertical scroll reading method of the internet browser and include animations, sound effects and background music. This trend is also in accordance with the preferences of modern readers. Modern society has complicated social structures with the development of various media; the public is therefore exposed to different stimuli and shows characteristics of differentiated perceptions. In other words, webtoons display more relevant and entertaining characteristics by inserting sounds and using moving texts and characters in specific frames, while traditional comics require an appreciation of withdrawal and immersion like other published media. Motions in webtoons are partially applied for dramatic tension or to create an effective expression of action. For example, hand-drawn animation is adopted to express motions by dividing motion images into many layers. Sounds are also utilized, such as background music with episode-related lyrics, melodies, ambient sounds and motion-related sound effects. In addition, webtoons provide readers with new amusement by giving tactile stimuli via the vibration of a smart phone. As stated above, the vertical direction, time-based nature of animation motions and tactile stimuli used in webtoons are differentiated from published comics. However, webtoons' utilization of innovative techniques hasn't yet reached its full potential. In addition to the fact that the software used for webtoon effects is operationally complex, this is a transitional phenomenon since there is still a lack of technical understanding of animation and sound application amongst the general public. For example, a sound might be programmed to play when a specific frame scrolls into view on the monitor, but the frame may be scrolled faster or slower than the author intended; in this case, sound can end before or after a reader sees the whole image. The motion of each frame is also programmed to start in a similar fashion. Therefore, a reader's scroll speed is related to the motion's speed. For this reason, motions might miss the intended timing and be unnatural because they are played out of context. Also, finished sound effects can disturb the concentration of readers. These problems come from a shortage of continuity; to solve these, naturally activated consecutive sounds or animations, like the simple rotation of joints when a character moves, is required.

They also feature forming a plurality of fandom. therefore, such attempts and repeated failures, this could be considered a fashion, but it flew content creation and ongoing attempts to take advantage of the new media, such as Vocaloid can see that there are expectations for a true Cyber-born singer. Early-Cyber singer is made only resemble human appearance, but 'Sciart' and 'Seeyou' has been evolving to becoming more like the human capabilities. in this paper, stylized cyber singer had disappeared in the past in the process of developing the technology to evolve into own artificial life does not end in failure cases, gradually led to a change in public perceptions of the image look looking machine was an attempt in that sense. With the direction of the evolution of the mechanical function to obtain a human, fun and human exchanges and mutual feelings.   • This study examines the characteristics of CBS's Kim Hyun-Jung's News Show(hearafter News Show) and the change to transmedia. The distinguishing characteristics of News Show compared to radio-based current affairs programs are as follows. First, despite its time limit, it adopts the form of investigative reports or investigative documentaries to uncover the truth of the events through 'Detective Son Su-Ho', etc. Second, News show's interviews have avoided biased stance in the reporting of minority issues by interviewing the affected parties anonymously including people involved in incidents and accidents, bereaved families, and other victims. News Show has been producing a transmedia content called 'That Honey Show' (a show that reads comments as fun as honey) since November 2018. 'That Honey Show' is broadcast in real time on YouTube right after the News Show radio broadcast ends. As a form of spin-off content, 'That Honey Show' breaks down the boundaries among staff, MCs, and guests, as well as shifting roles by using 'vice characters'. The female host, Kim conducts interviews with the main characters related to various issues and extends the fixed identity of current affairs shows to the everyday politics and cultural realms. Thus she draws active participation and responses audience. This paper analyzes two representative broadcast cases of 'That Honey Show'-first, the case of resistance and activity of the BTS fandom ARMY in the US presidential election, and, second, the case of reporting on the Nth room incident. This analysis considers the critical participation of digital citizens and the effect of fostering a sense of community in the current affairs show in the transmedia era.

웹사이트 컨텐츠 개발을 위한 청소년의 사이버 영양 정보 및 상담 이용실태와 요구도 분석

  • 청소년을 위한 영양 웹사이트의 컨텐츠 개발을 목적으로 사이버 영양정보 이용 현황과 요구도를 파악하고자 서울, 대전, 광주, 대구의 4개 대도시의 남녀 중고등학생 1262명을 임의로 선정하여 2000년 9월부터 10월에 걸쳐 설문지 조사를 실시하고 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 조사대상의 인터넷/PC통신의 이용시간은 전체 하루 평균137.0 $\pm$ 100.6분으로 나타났고 남학생이 여학생보다 평균 20.2분 길었다(p<0.05) 영양정보 급원의 이용 비중은 TV/라디오가 가장 컸고(3.69 $\pm$ 1.48) 인터넷/PC통신의 비중은 남녀, 중고생간의 차이 없이 매우 낮았다(1.30 $\pm$1.53). 인터넷/PC통신의 이용은 주로 게임 오락, 채팅이나 사교, 숙제자료를 찾기 위해서였으며 학교 공부 이외의 정보와 지식을 얻기 위한 활용도는 낮았다. 조사대상 중 인터넷/PC통신을 통해 영양정보 습득 경험이 있는 비율은 전차의 34.5%였으며 여학생(38.3%)이남학생(30.3%)보다 높았다(p<0.01). 영양정보 습득을 위해 인터넷/PC퉁신 이용 빈도는 응답자의 72%가 한 달에 1회 이하였으나, 한 달에 4회 이상 이용자도 10.9%나 되었다. 이용 목적은 ‘숙제를 위하여’가 가장 많았고 ‘자신의 건강’ 또는 ‘다이어트를 위함’이 그 다음 순이었다. 이용한 영양 웹사이트들의 전반적인 만족도는 ‘보통’의 수준(3.05 $\pm$ 0.92)이었으며 별로 또는 전혀 만족하지 않는 비율이 29.2%나 되었는데, 개선점으로 ‘정보의 빈약’(36.3%), ‘내용의 지루함과 흥미 부족’ (23.8%), ‘접속 속도의 느림’ (20.7%)의 순이었고, ‘내용의 난해도’는 전체의 13.0%가 지적하였다. 영양 컨텐츠의 내용에 대한 요구도를 조사한 결과 청소년 수준에 맞도록 쉽고 구체적이며 (71,8%), 새로운 정보의 빠른 업데이트(60.6%), 그리고 화면구성면에서는 쉽게 찾아 들어올 수 있고(88.6%) 복잡하지 않은 화면(61.9%)과 캐릭터를 많이 쓰는 것(51.1%)에 대한 요구도가 높았다. 한편 인터넷/PC통신을 통한 영양상담 경험은 남녀나 중고생간의 차이 없이 전반적으로 매우 적었으며(8.1%) 그중 91%가 한 달에 1회 이하로 저조한 상담 빈도를 보였다. 상담목적은 ‘자신의 건강’, ‘숙제’, ‘다이어트’, ‘가족의 건강을 위해’ 순으로 나타났으며, 상담결과에 대한 만족도는 ‘보통’보다 낮은 수준으로서(2.53 $\geq$ 1.01) ‘별로 또는 전혀 만족하지 않는’ 비율이 45.9%로 나타났다. 영양상담사이트의 개선점으로는 답변의 빈약함(43.2%), 난해성(22.7%), 느린 답변(22.7%) 등을 지적하였으며 친절하고 충분한 답변에 대한 요구도가 크게(48.7%) 나타났다. 조사대상들의 영양정보 습득이나 영양상담의 접속 경로는 주로 검색엔진을 통해서였으며 야후와 다음이 가장 많이 이용되었다.

  • This research shows how autonomous character agents work in 3D sports game and its application to advertising. It is a kind of interdisciplinary study between game and advertising. In other words, advertising can be used a beneficiary model in game industry. For the purpose of analyzing the role of agents, 3D table-tennis game and advertising tools are developed. The role of agents is booming up and focusing on the game by their voices and texts. In game, several famous brands are showed up as a mean of advertising. This study analyzed the role of agents and advertising from the game user's position. For validity and reliability of the research, questionnaires were analyzed. As a results, several facts are found. Firstly, the agents worked positively as a game boomer. More than half of the respondents answered the agents are useful for the game. Secondly, the advertising tools showed up on the game are helpful to understand the brand. In other words, the game is contributed to build up the brand image. These kinds of attempts may be significant in that the agents are performed as a parter of functional and woman-oriented game. And advertising brands when placed in the game could play the role of the game item or quest. The proposed method can provide the basic references for developing 3D game as an interdisciplinary study.

The Placelessness and Self-Alienation Expressed in the Space of Korean Animation film (한국 애니메이션의 재개발 공간에 나타난 장소상실과 자기소외)

  • The present study explores the problem of the placelessness and alienation through spaces of redevelopment in South Korean animation film since the 2000's. Actual space in South Korean society has been destroyed and changed unceasingly, and, in that space, humans have experienced existential conflict. While the swift development of digital technology has transcended physical restrictions to form one great network, humans are still limited as materially based beings. The recent steps in South Korean animation film are noteworthy because sociocultural changes since the 1990's and the relationship between the individual and the system are perceived in ways different from those of the past. and , the works analyzed in the present study, reveal the special sense of place in South Korean society, where the destructive reorganization of space leads to the instability of life. By intentionally bypassing a sense of place and the authority automatically bestowed on representational images, these works prompt the viewer to reexamine the relationship between reality and images. Space in these two works are presented representationally but immediately destroyed, and humans or the characters in the works accept this unfeelingly. The loss of place, which is committed by the massive system, and listless humans' weakness and alienation in response are depicted as signs of sociocultural abnormality. By showing the destructive loss of place and individuals who respond with self-anesthesia and self-estrangement, these works open viewers' eyes to South Korean society, where not only social alienation but also self-alienation is occurring. By perceiving South Korean animation film as a sociocultural phenomenon and analyzing it through the concepts of the placelessness and alienation, the present study seeks to expand further discussions on animation film.
