Chloroplast transformation in higher plants offers many attractive advantages over nuclear transformation, including a high-level accumulation of foreign proteins, multi-gene expression in single transformation event via transgene stacking in operons and no position effect due to site-specific integration of transgenes by homologous recombination. Most importantly, chloroplast transgenic plants are eco-friendly because their transgenes are maternally inheritance in most crop plants. However, chloroplast transformation system has limited success in crops alike nuclear transformation. In the past two decades, great progress has been made to overcome the limitations of chloroplast transformation, thus expending chloroplast bioreactor to several important crops including soybean, carrot, lettuce, and oilseed. Therefore, it has become possible that chloroplast transformation of crops can be used not only for the improvement of agronomic traits, but also for the production of vaccines and high valuable therapeutic proteins in pharmaceutical industry.

Humankind has experienced various changes in the pandemic of the Covid-19 for some months from the winter of 2019. The Church and Christians also have witnessed the changes and results of the pandemic in their Christian life and meetings such as worship, Bible study, prayer meeting, personal spiritual activities, and so on. Humans have encountered different kinds of pandemics throughout history. 1918-Influenza is an example, and the Pest(the Black Death) of the 14th century is another. What did the Christian Church do in the pandemics? This study focuses especially on the spiritual matters of each case and era. This study explores the well-known cases of pandemics in history and reflects on the Christian spiritual responses and its lessons. The three points this study raises are the life and attitude of the spiritual figures, the practice of silence, and the social aspect of the Christian spirituality in this time of the pandemic.

Polymorphism of the lipoprotein lipase (LPL) gene which plays an important role in regulation of lipid deposition was analysed in two red seabream (pagrus major) populations (KF4, cultured KORDI line, n=100 : JPN, imported from Japan, n=100). We amplified a DNA fragment (1,091 bp) including the exon 2 region of the LPL gene, and conducted PCR-RFLP analysis using MspI and AluI. The PCR products were also sequenced. Two alleles (A and B) were found in MspI digestion and Sve alleles (A, B, C, D and E) in AluI digestion. The sequenced data revealed four nucleotide substitutions including one transversion at the MspI recognition site (nt 2,235, $C{\rightarrow}10$) and three transitions at the AluI recognition sites (nt 1,721, $A{\rightarrow}G;$ nt 2,319, $C{\rightarrow}T;$ nt 2,319, $T{\rightarrow}C$). Among them, substitutions at the nt 2,235 and 2,319 sites which are located in the exon 2 were proved to be silent point mutations. MspI polymorphism resulted in 3 genotypes, and the allele frequency was significantly different between the two fish populations, KF4 and JPN. In the case of AluI polymorphism, the 5 alleles (A, B, C, D, E) comprised 12 genotypes of the 5 alleles. KF4 population, alleles D and I were specific to the LPL gene Polymorphisms would be useful DNA markers for red seabream population.

In this paper, we propose the method to use power-saving mode (PSM) applicable to non real-time traffic and PSM applicable to real-time traffic simultaneously, for VoIP traffic with silence suppression. The proposed method uses PSC II during talk-spurt interval of parties A and/or B and uses PSC I or probabilistic sleep interval decision (PSID) method during mutual silence interval, respectively. To evaluate the performance of hybrid PSM (HPSM) based on PSC II or PSID method, we present average buffering delay, energy consumption of mobile station and VoIP packet drop probability with simulation runs. Results shows that proposed HPSM decreases energy consumption of mobile station up to 25 % while satisfying the packet drop probability within QoS requirement in case of end-to-end VoIP connection.

Recently, this government is implementing the "eradication of four social evils" policy to root out social evils which includes sexual violence, school violence, domestic violence and substandard food. In retrospect, these social evils are the crimes that have sprung from rapid social changes in Korea. These main four crimes not only badly affect certain victims but also spread their viciousness to broad population. Moreover, the prevention of the occurrence of the crime and the problem solving as an individual unit are hardly possible. Due to their critical effects and continuity, governmental safety policy enforcement is achieving higher support. As an alliance with the calling from the public for happier and safer life, this paper especially focus on regulating substandard food issue, according to the idea that food safety is an essential prerequisite for the healthy and happy life of the people. Through the reviewing, definition of the substandard food will be cleared and specified substandard food crimes will be introduced as well. And the paper will also pose questions in order to propose improved legal measures against the existing regulations, such as newly adding additional penalty article to food sanitation law.

Purpose - Many studies show that dissatisfied customers are silent rather than expressing complaints directly to firms. Although silent voices are pervasive in service failure, they have received little attention from researchers. Silence implies a multidimensional nature, not just the opposite of voice. This study focuses on two types of silent students in higher education: acquiescent silence and defensive silence. This study also proposes cognitive trust and affective trust as variables affecting student silence. The objective of this study is to analyse the effects of trust types on student silence and exit intention. Research design, data, and methodology - To test the proposed model, this study conducted a survey with undergraduate students who selected silence in a dissatisfied relationship with a professor. Respondents were asked to respond to the questionnaire, recalling the dissatisfaction at that time. A total of 300 students was surveyed from whom 275 completed questionnaires was obtained. The structural equation model analysis was used for the hypothesis test. Results - First, cognitive trust was negatively related to acquiescent and defensive silence. Second, affective trust was negatively related to acquiescent and defensive silence. Third, cognitive trust was negatively exit intention, but affective trust didn't significantly reduce exit intention. Forth, acquiescent silence was positively related to exit intention, but defensive silence didn't have a significant positive impact on exit intention. Thus, a key result of this analysis was that acquiescent silence enhances exit intention. Conclusions - The findings of the study provide a better understanding of the types of silence, and the role of trust, thus furthering the implication of student reactions to dissatisfaction. In particular, this study is meaningful in that it confirms the value of student silence in the context of complaint management. Acquiescent silence should be more importantly managed because it has stronger negative motive than defensive silence. Acquiescent silence is reduced through various channels(mail, telephone, counseling) that can express complaints. Cognitive trust and affective trust are a essential factors in reducing silence. Also, in explaining exit intention, cognitive trust plays a more important role than affective trust.

The symbolism of color is to express in metaphor some sort of rationality and concept with some color. Now a lot of directors are obsessed with the use of color to express the symbolic meaning. Gradually, the color goes beyond the form of natural material and ascends in appearance to a kind of significant and meaningful modeling element. Thus the color's symbolic meaning has become an essential element in the color and function of the film. The paper analyzes the applications of color in films by use of the well-known director Zhang Yimou's film such as "Hero" and Michelangelo Antonioni's film "Red desert"; and then makes"Hero" with the "Red desert" in order to explain different applications and expressing practices of colors in the film and reflect the significance of color as a unique expressing language in the film.

This study aims to understand the influence of employees' perceptions of organizational politics (POP) on organizational silence (OS) and turnover intention (TI) in the foodservice industry and to verify the moderating effects of departments (food & beverage and kitchen) in the relationship among the POP, OS, and TI. Based on a total of 313 useful samples obtained for the empirical research, this study reviewed the reliability and fitness of the research model and verified a total of 2 hypotheses using the AMOS program. The hypothesized relationships in the model were tested simultaneously by using a structural equation model(SEM). The proposed model provided an adequate fit for the data, $x^2=349.889$ (p<0.001), df=100, CMIN/DF=3.499, GFI=0.882, NFI=0.880, CFI=0.911, RMSEA=0.089. The model's fit, as indicated by these indexes, was deemed satisfactory, thus providing a good basis for testing the hypothesized paths. The results of SEM showed that foodservice employees' POP had positive impacts on the defensive silence (DS) and acquiescent silence (AS). In addition, DS and AS had a positive influence on TI. The department (food & beverage and kitchen) was found to have a partial moderating effect in the relationship between POP, OS, and TI. Based on the research findings, we discussed the practical implications and suggestions for the future research.

We can witness the recent surge of interest in the controversy over the scientific status of mathematics among Jesuit Aristotelians around 1600. Following the lead of Wallace, Dear, and Mancosu, I propose to look into this controversy in more detail. For this purpose, I shall focus on Biancani's discussion of scientiae mediae in his dissertation on the nature of mathematics. From Dear's and Wallace's discussions, we can gather a relatively nice overview of the debate between those who championed the scientific status of mathematics and those who denied it. But it is one thing to fathom the general motivation of the disputation, quite another to appreciate the subtleties of dialectical strategies and tactics involved in it. It is exactly at this stage when we have to face some difficulties in understanding the point of Biancani's views on scientiae mediae. Though silent on the problem of scientiae mediae, Mancosu's discussions of the Jesuit Aristotelians' views on potissima demonstrations, mathematical explanations, and the problem of cause are of utmost importance in this regard, both historically and philosophically. I will carefully examine and criticize some of Mancosu's interpretations of Piccolomini's and Biancani's views in order to approach more closely what was really at stake in the controversy.

Dardenne brothers' films deals with minorities' issues who are shoved out to periphery of society, and especially takes interest in value-deprived human life in labor market of today. This study examines such social awareness of Dardenne brothers targeting their latest works awarded in Cannes Film Festival, , , , , . And analysis is attempted about Dardenne brothers' unique formal aesthetical style that exactly captures such social awareness. In Dardenne brothers' films a person shows up who faces abject matter of living. Their agony is closely connected to unemployment, and shows images of irresistible anxiety and alienation. Dardenne brothers' images are not only simple platform with contents embodied, but designed form showing essential thematic consciousness. Location and gaze, motion of camera capturing a character makes us to reflect the situation a character is facing in the world. There are almost no regard about plots, no dramatic devices, superficial and even straightforward, but Dardenne brothers' films have such independent formal aesthetic, which makes able to give endless tension.
