Numerical Simulation of Viscoelastic Fluid Flow Through 4:1 Axi-symmetric Contraction Using Type-dependent Difference Method (형식에 따른 차분법을 이용한 축대칭 4:1 수축을 지나는 점탄성유동의 수치모사)

  • 본 연구에서는 Upper Convected Maxwll 유체 및 Leonov-like-Giesekus 유체모형 을 이용하여 축대칭 4:1수축을 지나는 점탄서유체의 유동을 수치해석하였다. 이러한 점탄성 유체의 대한 지배방정식이 타원형-쌍곡선형으로 형식변화되므로 이를 적절히 고려할수 있 는 형태의 와도방정식을 이용하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 와도방정식의 수치해석에서는 형 식에 따른 차분법을 도입하였다. 두 유체모형에 대해서 Weissenberg수를 증가시키면서 탄 성의 효과가 모서리와류의 크기, 응력의 분포 지배방정식의 형식변화에 미치는 영향을 살펴 보았다. 수치해석결과 탄성의 효과가 증가할수록 모서리와류가 커지며, 평면유동의 경우보다 훨씬 큰 모서리와류가 관찰되어 기존의 실험결과와 잘 일치하는 것을 볼수 있었다. 또한 수 치해석 결과로부터 와도방정식의 형식변화를 확인할수 있었다.

  • This study aimes at developing an analysis model for axisymmetric RC structures on an elastic foundation and also, at checking its practical adaptability through some case studies. The computer program developed in this study is general-purpose one, applicable not only to 8-noded isoparametric elements, but also to 3, 4, 6 and g-noded element cases. And for the economies of input data processing works, automatic system for data prepa- ration including division of elements is included in the computer program. Although these are not exemplified in the case studies, the program developed in this study can be easily applicable without any modification to axisymmetric structures with roof and PC structures.

  • In this study a computer program considering initial imperfection of wall of axisymmetric reinforced concrete shell which show plastic deformation by large external loading is developed. initial imperfection of wall of axisymmetric reinforced concrete shell is assumed as sinusoidal curve expressed as {{{{ {W }_{i } }}}}={{{{ {W}_{0 } }}}}sin (n$\pi$y/$\ell$)y. The developed program is applied to the analysis of the dynamic response of axisymmetric reinforced concrete shell when the wall has initial imperfection. The initial imperfection of 0.0 -5.0, and 5cm and steel ratio 0.3, and 5% are tested for numerical examples. The effects of the wall initial imperfection and steel ratio on the dynamic response of the axisymmetric reinforced concrete shell are analysed, It is shown that the direction of the initial imperfection is very important factors for determining the dynamic response.

Computation of Wake Flow of an Axisymmetric Body at Incidence (받음각을 갖는 축대칭 물체의 후류 유동 계산)

  • The turbulent wake flow of an axisymmetric body at incidence of $10.1^{\circ}$ is investigated by commericial CFD code, Fluent 6.2. Reynolds stress turbulence model with wall function is applied for the turbulent flow computation. For the grid generation, the Gridgen V15 is used. Numerical predictions are compared with experimental data for the validation. The computed results show goof agreements with the experimental measurements, implying that the CFD analysis is a useful and efficient tool for predicting turbulent flow characteristics of wake field of an axisymmetric body at incidence.

  • Flow mechanism of contractive and dilative motion is numerically investigated to obtain a propulsive force in highly viscous fluid. An axisymmetric code is developed with unstructured grid system based on cell-centered scheme. It is validated by comparing with the results of Stokes approximation for the problem of uniform flow past a sphere in low Reynolds number(R$_{n}$=1). The validated code is applied to the simulation of contractive and dilative periodic motion of body whose results are quantitatively compared with the two dimensional case. In order to investigate the grid dependency, two different grids are applied to the present computations. The present study provides key information for the development of an axisymmetric Micro-hydro-robot.t.

Sub-micron패턴 형성을 위한 축대칭 이온광학계의 성능해석

  • 액체금속 이온원에서 추출된 이온빔을 웨이퍼 위에 접속하기 위한 이온광학계에 있어서 축대칭 판형 전극의 전위분포를 계산하는 해석적인 방법을 제시하였다. 이 방법은 이온궤적, 수차 및 이온빔 직경등의 광학 특성을 보다 빠르게 계산할 수 있는 computer code의 개발에 이용되었다. 계산된 광학특성은 Burghard의 결과와 잘 일치하였으며, 기존의 Orloff.lens,Kurihara lens의 aperture 직경을 변화시켜 색수차를 줄이면 이온빔의 직경이 20% 정도 감소되었다. 또한 두개의 렌즈로 이루어진 이온광학계에 대한 전산모사를 통하여 일반적으로 collimated mode가 crossovered mode에 비해 작은 빔직경을 가지며, 5KeV, 50keV의 빔에너지에서 각각 Orloff lens/Orloff-reversed lens, Kurihara lens/Orloff-reversed lens로 조합된 경우가 빔직경의 관점에서 유리함을 알 수 있었다.

  • 구조물 하중에 의한 점성토 지반의 침하량을 보다 정확하게 평가하기 위해서는 지반 내의 흙요소가 경험하는 실제적인 응력경로와 이에 따른 변형양상이 적절하게 고려되어야만 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 축대칭 조건의 다양한 응력경로를 따라 발생하는 정규압밀 점성토의 변형 거동을 고찰한 기존의 실험적 연구결과를 바탕으로 응력경로법에 근거한 보다 간편하고 합리적인 침하량 평가기법을 제시하였다. 또한 본 연구에서는 제시된 평가기법을 기존의 1차원적인 침하량 평가기법들과 함께 실제와 유사한 조건을 가지는 가상지반의 침하량 산정에 적용해 보았으며, 동일한 조건에 대해 소성모델(MCC 모델)과 혼합압밀이론에 바탕을 둔 유한요소해석을 실시하였다. 그리고 이를 통해 얻어진 결과들을 비교.분석함으로써 기존 평가기법들의 문제점과 한계를 명확히 제시하였으며, 응력증분 평가방법이 침하량 평가에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.

Axisymmetric Temperature Analysis of Ventilated Disk using Equivalent Parameters (등가상수를 이용한 벤트레이트 디스크의 축대칭 온도 해석)

  • In automotive brake systems, the frictional heat generated can cause high temperature at the interface of rotor and pad which may deteriorate the material properties of the sliding parts and can result in brake fade. Conventionally, a pie-shaped 3-dimentional model is adopted to calculate temperature of ventilated disk using finite element method. To overcome the difficulties in preparing 3D finite element model and reduce the computational time required, the ventilated rotor is to be analyzed, in this study, as an axisymmetric finite element model in which, taking into considerations the effects of cooling passages, a homogenization technique is used to obtain the equivalent thermal properties and boundary conditions for the elements placed at the vent holes. Numerical tests show the proposed procedure can be successfully applied in practice, replacing 3-dimensional thermal analysis of ventilated disk.

  • The design analysis of axisymmetric, multi-stage deep drawing dies was performed using the rigid-viscoplastic finite element formulation. In the formulation the axisymmetric CFS algorithm was employed. Hill's non-quadratic normal anisotropic yield criterion and isotropic hardening rule were considered. For trial initial displacements and tool contact points. the geometric force equilibrium method was adopted. In order to see the validity of the formulation, the multi-stage deep drawing processes of shell-cylinder front part of hydraulic booster were simulated. The simulation showed good agreements with measurments and PAM-STAMP results.

  • The conventional discrete-ordinates method (DOM) is modified and developed for the analysis of two-dimensional axisymmetric cylindrical enclosure with curved wall. The objective of the present work is to extend the capability of the conventional DOM into a general axisymmetric geometry like nozzle-shaped enclosure, by adopting the arbitrary control angle as was done in the finite-volume method (FVM), while keeping the same two-dimensional solution procedure as in the conventional DOM. The present method is validated by applying it to three different benchmark problems of axisymmetric enclosure containing absorbing, emitting and scattering medium. Results presented in this work not only support the solution accuracy, but also moderate efficiency in the numerical calculation of axisymmetric radiation problem.
