Shape Deformation Monitoring for VLBI Antenna Using Close-Range Photogrammetry and Total Least Squares (근접사진측량과 Total Least Squares를 활용한 VLBI 안테나 형상 변형 모니터링 방안 연구)

  • In order to maintain the precise positioning accuracy of the VLBI system, the shape deformation found in antenna structure should be monitored. In fact, reduced the antenna gaining of an electromagnetic wave reception from the Quasar has been particularly expected due to the shape deformation of main reflector in VLBI antenna. Therefore, the importance of shape deformation monitoring for the main reflector has been significantly increased. The main reflector has come out as the high potential for deformation in the VLBI structure. The fact has led us to investigate the monitoring system for the main reflector based on the efficient algorithm in accordance with the close-range photogrammetry, which of expecting to be utilized as the continuous and automated monitoring system for the structure deformation in the near future. Ten fitting lines were estimated with the TLS for feature points of distributed in all directions from the main reflector. The resultant intersection point of estimated fitting lines was calculated by using the nearest point calculation algorithm, based on those non-intersection lines. Following to the intuitive basis for the time series analysis, the results was able to provide the calculation of numerical variation in the intersection point, which is represented in 3-axis,; that we are expecting to open the way for predicting a deformation rate as well as deformation direction

  • This study proposes the concept of Bachchin's Chronotope as a tool for analyzing coevolution between the genre of the epic and society. Bachchin says through the concept of chronotope, literary works are on the foundation on which the axs of time and space intersect, and the literary works standsuch intersections are always conversing with social and historical chronotopes and mutually penetrating. Thus, finding and analyzing chronotope in literary works and extended things such as films and dramas reveals how chronotope and chronotope of a society have created specific social realities through a process of resonance. To make analytical use of this concept, we proposed a "cronotope drama analysis method" and concretely analyzed the genre of Korean medical dramas. The naturalized categories of health care, health, and disease are socially constructed entities, and the analysis of public works that has a significant impact on this process of social construction is essential but was underperformed. According to the analysis, the Korean medical drama's "Chronotope" has evolved using "Chronotope of the school" and "Chronotope of the secret chamber". At this time, the genre of Chronotope was expanding spatially and converging in time. In other words, the influence of structures and systems within the genre has grown, and the capacity of individual actors has decreased. This change in chronotope was interpreted as resonating with the social reality of neo-liberalistic spatial expansion and simultaneous production. The neo-liberalistic trend that dominates Korean society has embraced the category of health care and was further influencing the chronotope of drama text. It can also be inferred that the popular understanding of health care produced by the medical drama genre has taken a break in the process of forming a social reality of health care again.

The Operation Analysis of Signalized Intersections Using ICU Method (ICU 방법을 활용한 신호교차로 운영분석)

  • The capacity analysis of signalized intersection usually includes a HCM method used at home and abroad and a ICU method this study presents. The HCM method focuses on operation analysis measuring an intersection's delay in terms of given traffic volume, signal operation, and intersection structure data. This method includes planning and design analysis, but these analyses are complex due to being possible through repetitive operation analysis. However the ICU method is a powerful tool for planning and design analysis, because these are possible through brief traffic volume and geometry structure data and consider minimum green time. In this study, the authors studied the ICU method and compared the HCM and ICU by analyzing traffic volume scenarios. Also to consider effectiveness for application of the ICU method, the authors applied the ICU to capacity analysis of intersections on urban arterial for setting major intersection and effect analysis for changing crosswalk type, the number of lane, lane use and operation form of left turn. The result of the analyses shows that the ICU method can measure correct capacity of intersection consist of a broad road in urban area, and is effective for planning and design analysis. This study is expected that traffic experts can grasp correct intersection's capacity and carry out a proper planning or improvement by applying the ICU method to planning and design analysis.

A Vine-Based Stochastic Loading Technique in Pedestrian Networks Considering Space Syntax Theory (Space Syntax Theory를 반영한 덩굴망기반 확률적 보행네트워크 배정기법)

  • Evaluation of the walkability of the urban pedestrian network requires construction of a pedestrian network model that reflects Space Syntax Theory. Space Syntax Theory deduces an integration value through which materials for evaluation of the pedestrian network's connectivity can be produced; and can aid in illustrating the ease of walkability through the model's calculation of pedestrian indices such as movability, comfort, and safety. But the representation of space syntax theory in the pedestrian network requires that turn delay be added by means of a network-type construction method. While tree-based Dial Algorithm proposed for the logit-based probability walkability distribution model may be effective for link-based pedestrian volume distribution, it requires further network expansion to reflect turn delays. In this research, Vine-based Dial Algorithm is executed in order to obtain a measure reflecting the integration value for Space Syntax Theory. The Vine-based Dial Algorithm of two adjacent links, which forms the minimum unit of the Vine network, has the advantage of encompassing turn delay, and thus eliminates the need for network expansion. Usage of the model to evaluation of complicated pedestrian spheres such as urban roads is left to further research. Especially the progression of the proposed method is deduced through case study.

Numerical Study on the Behavior of Fully Grouted Rock Bolts with Different Boundary Conditions (경계조건의 변화에 따른 전면접착형 록볼트 거동의 수치해석적 연구)

  • In modern rock engineering practice, fully grouted rock bolting is actively employed as a major supporting system, so that understanding the behavior of fully grouted rock bolts is essential for the precise design of rock bolting. Despite its importance, the supporting mechanism of rock bolts has not been fully understood yet. Since most of existing analytical models for rock bolts were developed by drastically simplifying their boundary conditions, they are not suitable for the bolts of in-situ condition. In this study, 3-D elastic FE analysis of fully grouted rock bolts has been conducted to provide insight into the supporting mechanism of the bolt. The distribution of shear and axial stresses along the bolt are investigated with the consideration of different boundary conditions including three different displacement boundary conditions at the bolt head, the presence of intersecting rock joints, and the variation of elastic modulus of adjacent rock. The numerical result reveals that installation of the faceplate at the bolt head plays an important role in mobilizing the supporting action and enhancing the supporting capabilities of the fully grouted rock bolts.

A Study on the Location Selection of Distribution Center on the KyongBu Expressway Axis (경부고속철도축을 중심으로 한 물류단지 입지설정에 관한 연구)

  • 사회전반에 걸친 물류단지의 필요성에 대한 인식은 날로 높아지고 있으나, 물류단지의 입지를 정작 어느 곳으로 할 것인가에 대한 연구는 거의 없는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 물류단지의 입지를 결정하는 여러 요인들 중 일반적으로 계량화 작업이 많이 이루어진 수송비와 ,대규모 개발 사업시 가장 먼저 고려해야 하는 토지보상비를 결정하는 지가를 물류단지의 입지를 결정하는 입지비용이라 가정하고, 현재 화물수송이 가장 많이 이루어지고 있는 경부고속도로축을 중심으로 입지비용을 결정하는 지가와 소송비의 산출을 위한 근거를 제시하며, 이를 설명할 수 있는 지가와 수송비의 모형을 지가와 수송비의 산출을 위한 근거를 제시하며, 이를 설명할 수 있는 지가와 수송비의 모형을 개발하여, 이 모형을 토대로 물류단지의 규모와 서울도심에서의 거리의 변화에 따라 물류단지의 입지가 어떻게 변화하는 가를 밝혀, 물류단지의 최적입지를 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 논문의 결론을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1) 물동량의 증가에 따라 수송비가 증가하고, 물동량을 처리하기 위한 소요부지면적이 증가하면, 지가와 수송비의 교차구간은 도심에서약 15~20km 떨어진 구간에서 형성되고, 이 때의 최적입지는 물동량과 소요부지면적에 상관없이, 도심에서 약 60km 떨어진 안성군 및 평택시지역(경부고속도로 주변지역에 한함)이 최적입지로 분석되었다. 2) 수송비와 지가, 건설비와의 장래 20년을 기준으로 한 누적비용분석결과 0~40km 구간의 경우 수송비의 누적비용이 지가와 건설비의 누적비용을 초과하지 않으며, 수송비의 누적비용이 지가와 건설비의 누적비용을 초과하는 기간이 가장 빠른 것은 물류단지가 50~55km 구간과 60~65km 구간에 입지 하였을 경우로, 이 구간에서의 수송비 누적비용이 지가와 건설비의 누적비용을 초과하는 기간은 9년 후인 2004년으로 분석되었다. 이는 도심과 인접한 지역의 경우 물류단지가 입지하지 못하는 것은 물류단지의 건설에 따른 수송비의 절감이 물류단지 건설에 따른 지가 및 건설비에 대한 비용부담에 못 미치기 때문인 것으로 분석되었으며, 화물의 특성상 불가피하게 도심지역과 가까운 곳에 물류단지의 입지를 고려해야 할 경우, 물류단지 조성시 정부에서의 세금완화, 물류단지 조성가능지역 설정, 지가에 대한 보조 등 정책적인 지원대책이 필요할 것으로 판단된다. 3) 입지 비용중 수송비를 누적시킨 수송누적비용과 지가와의 비교분석결과 수송비를 5년, 10년 누적시켰을 때 이 물류단지의 최적입지는 도심에서 약 60km떨어진 곳으로 분석되었으며, 수송비를 20년 누적시켰을 경우 물류단지의 최적입지는 도심에서 약 50km떨어진 지점의 물류단지의 최적입지로 분석되었다.

A study on the Surface Cracks in the West Stone Pagoda of Gameunsa Temple Site, Gyeongju, Korea: Examples from the second story stone body and the third story capstone (경주 감은사지 삼층석탑(서탑)에 발달한 표면균열에 대한 연구: 2층 탑신과 3층 옥개석의 사례)

  • The west stone pagoda of Gameunsa temple site(National Treasure No. 112) has been seriously damaged by surface weathering, and conservation treatment is needed. In the second story body stone, vertical cracks developed parallel to the main compressional axis. The vertical cracks seem to grow much more with the compression. Chemical and biological weathering along the vertical cracks could have enhanced the crack growth. In the third story capstone, the surface cracks strike toward NE and NW directions, which are intersecting each other. In the eastern and southern parts of the third story capstone, lots of vertical cracks develop along the lines from the axial center to outer rim, whereas horizontal cracks are easily observed at the outer rim of the capstone. On the other hand, a few horizontal cracks develop in the western and northern parts of the third story capstone. This fact indicates that the compression along the vertical axis is not uniform in direction. The west stone pagoda leans toward the east and the south, so it is considered that compression by deviatoric stress prevailed at these directions.

A Comparative Analysis of 3D Circle Fitting Algorithms for Determination of VLBI Antenna Reference Point (VLBI 안테나 기준점 결정을 위한 3D Circle Fitting 알고리즘의 비교 분석)

  • The accuracy of reference point of VLBI antenna is mandatory to perform collocation of different space geodetic techniques. In this study, we evaluated the optimal methods for the 3D circle fitting to enhance the accuracy of the reference point of VLBI antenna. Two kinds of methodologies for the orthonormal coordinate system with translation of planar observation point and the unitary coordinate transforamation were suggested and their fitting accuracies were evaluated where the orthogonal distance was calculated by residual between observation point and fitting model and the recursive calculation was performed to improve the accuracy of 3D circle fitting. Finally, we found that the methodology for the unitary coordinate transformation is highly appropriate to determine the optimal equation for azimuth-axis and elevation-axis of VLBI antenna. Therefore, the reference point of VLBI antenna with high accuracy can be determined by the intersection of the above two axises (azimuth-axis and elevation-axis). This result is expected to be utilized for a variety of researches for connection between VLBI observation results and the national control point.

  • The purpose of this article is to investigate Lee Je-rna'os viewpoint of Morpho-Image. In the first place, I will define the viewpoint of Morpho-Image as the the structure of recognition and study it through bibliographic study on Lee Je-ma's work. The conclusions summarized as follows; 1. The structure of recognition, represented in "Gyukchigo(格致藁)" "Dongyi Soose Bowon Sasang Chobonkyon(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)", is based on Taigi(太極), Liangyi(兩儀), Sasang(四象). There are the mind of Taigi(太極), the mind of Liangyi(兩儀) separated from Taigi(太極), the mind of Sasang(四象) separated from Liangyi(兩儀). The mind of Taigi(太極) is the mind of center, the mind of Liangyi(兩儀) is the mind of the mind and body(or the wisdom and action). Two axis, the mind(or wisdom) and the body(or action), cross and make Sasang(四象), affair-mind-body-object which classifies all affairs and objects of humans, society, and the universe as four types. 2.   • The Study on the Film, as the one of the main fields in the cultural studies, has the significant meaning in analyzing our society in that culture represents the realities of the present society. Film is the metaphorically expressed text and the specific space where a variety of discourses cross. The director's social consciousness projected in the film must have the ultimate significance through the dialectic relation between the intention of the director and the interpretation of the audience, not through the his one-sided message to the audience. This paper focuses on the analysis of the movie 'The Host', which is evaluated to show the meaningful social phenomena related to 'disaster' among the recent movies in Korea. The Host which is characteristic of 'the open structure' can be referred to as the film reflecting the imperial order prevalent in the colonial society.
