  • Photovoltaic power generation requires MPPT algorithm to track stable and efficient maximum power output power point according to external changes such as solar radiation and temperature. This study implemented a model that could track MPP more quickly than original MPPT algorithm using artificial neural network. The proposed model finds the current and voltage of MPP using the original MPPT algorithm for various combinations of insolation and temperature for training data of artificial neural networks. The acquired MPP data was learned using the input node as insolation and temperature and the output node as the current and voltage. The Experiment results show tracking time of the original algorithms P&O, InC and Fuzzy were respectively 0.428t, 0.49t and 0.4076t for the 0t~0.3t range, and MPP tracking time of the proposed model was 0.32511t and it is 0.1t faster than the original algorithms.

Extraction of Facial Feature Component using Section Segmentation of Block-units (블록단위 영역분할을 이용한 얼굴 특징 요소 추출)

  • 본 논문에서는 얼굴의 특징 추출 알고리즘을 제안한다. 입력 영상을 이진 영상으로 처리한 후, 얼굴 요소 후보 블록의 면적, 둘레, 원형도, 종횡비를 이용하여 불변하는 눈, 코, 입의 특징 요소를 추출한다. 사람의 얼굴에 대한 특징 요소를 추출하기 위하여 우선 이진 영상을 생성한다. 하나 하나의 고립된 영역으로 분리하기 위하여 화소 레이블링을 한 후 만들어진 얼굴 요소 후보 블록 단위로 면적을 구하고, 윤곽선 추적 방법에 의하여 둘레를 구한 다음 면적, 둘레, 원형도 및 종횡비의 유사도를 구한다 블록의 종합 유사도, 대칭적 거리, 위치의 유사도를 활용하여 눈, 코, 입을 추출한다. 추출된 각 특징 요소간의 거리와 각도를 이용하여 12개의 특징 인수를 구하는 제안 알고리즘을 수행함으로써 얼굴의 특징 인수들을 추출한다. 각 특징점 사이의 거리와 각 거리간의 기울기를 이용하여 100명으로부터 획득한 297개의 원 영상을 대상으로 12개의 특징 파라미터를 추출한 결과 92.93%의 추출 성공률을 보였다. 이러한 결과는 외부 환경의 영향을 덜 받는 눈, 코, 입의 위치 관계의 블록을 근거로 특징 요소를 추출할 수 있도록 제안 알고리즘을 구성하였던 것으로 판단된다.

Real-time Detection and Tracking of Moving Objects Based on DSP (DSP 기반의 실시간 이동물체 검출 및 추적)

  • This paper describes real-time detection and tracking of moving objects for unmanned visual surveillance. Using images obtained from the fixed camera it detects moving objects within the image and tracks them with displaying rectangle boxes enclosing the objects. Tracking method is implemented on an embedded system which consists of TI DSK645.5 kit and the FPGA board connected on the DSP kit. The DSP kit processes image processing algorithms for detection and tracking of moving objects. The FPGA board designed for image acquisition and display reads the image line-by-line and sends the image data to DSP processor, and also sends the processed data to VGA monitor by DMA data transfer. Experimental results show that the tracking of moving objects is working satisfactorily. The tracking speed is 30 frames/sec with 320x240 image resolution.

  • In this paper, we proposed image enhancement method using sharpening filter for improving the accuracy of object detection using the existing Grabcut algorithm. GrabCut algorithm is the excellent performance extracting an object within a rectangular window range, but it has the drawback of the inferior performance in image with no clear distinction between background and objects. So, in this paper, reinforcing the brightness and clarity through histogram equalization, and tightening the border of the object using the sharpening filter look better than that extracted result of existing GrabCut algorithm in a similar image of the object and the background. Based on improved Grabcut algorithm, it is possible to obtain an improved result in the image processing convergence technique of character recognition, real-time object tracking and so on.

  • Due to the recent proliferation of video contents, previous contents expressed as the character or the picture are being replaced to video and growth of video contents is being boosted because of emerging new platforms. As this accelerated growth has a great impact on the process of universalization of technology for ordinary people, video production and editing technologies that were classified as expert's areas can be easily accessed and used from ordinary people. Due to the development of these technologies, tasks like that recording and adjusting that depends on human's manual involvement could be automated through object tracking technology. Also, the process for situating the object in the center of the screen after finding the object to record could have been automated. Because the task of setting the object to be tracked is still remaining as human's responsibility, the delay or mistake can be made in the process of setting the object which has to be tracked through a human. Therefore, we propose a novel object tracking technique of CMT combining the face detection technique utilizing Haar cascade classifier. The proposed system can be applied to an effective and robust image tracking system for continuous object tracking on the smartphone in real time.

  • 본 논문에서는 심도(Depth) 카메라로부터 실시간 획득한 RGBD 데이터에서 심도 정보 기반의 AAM(Active Appearance Models)과 나이 인식 알고리즘[1]을 통해 4 개의 AG(Age Group)으로 분류하는 실시간 얼굴 나이 인식 시스템(Real-time Facial Age Recognition System)을 설계한다. 기존의 AAM 을 이용한 실시간 얼굴 특징 추출은 평균 약 4.17%의 프레임 손실율을 보였으나, 심도 정보를 활용한 AAM 은 평균 약 0.43%의 프레임 손실율만을 보였다[5]. 본 논문에서는 심도 정보를 활용한 AAM과 병렬 처리 방법인 CUDA 를 결합하여 나이 특징을 추출하고, 실시간 시스템에 적용 가능하도록 나이 인식 알고리즘을 개선하여 실시간 나이 인식 시스템을 설계한다. 설계된 시스템은 1)머리 위치 추적, 2)얼굴 인식 및 특징점 추출, 3)나이 특징 추출, 4) 나이 특징 분석, 5) 나이 분류의 5 가지 단계를 통해 최종적으로 4 개의 AG 로 분류한다.

  • 현대 컴퓨터 비전 분야에서는 객체 추적이 중요한 연구 주제 중 하나다. 기존 Tracking By Detection 방식은 실시간 추적 속도와 Tracklet을 유지할 수 있는 정보 전달의 한계를 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 유사도 비교 모듈을 기반으로 Tracking By Detection 모델을 설계하고자 한다. 탐지 모델은 Anchor를 사용하지 않는 CenterNet을 사용하고 탐지된 값에 유사도 비교 알고리즘을 적용하여 객체 탐지와 객체 추적을 동시에 수행하는 모델을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 Occlusion으로 인한 객체 정보 손실을 완화하고, 새로운 객체 및 장애물에 대해 강건할 것으로 사료된다.

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm to track human body of input video from a single camera. The proposed method gets the difference image between gray image of input image and one of background image and also the difference image between hue image of input image and one of background image. Then we combine the results, splits foreground and background and detect human body objects. Then each object is numbered and is tracked. The proposed method tracks each object using the intensity and hue histogram of local area in objects. The proposed method is applied to video from a camera and tracked well the hided objects and the overlapped objects.
