The Preservation Policy and Historical Landscape Characteristic of Ancient City Gyeongju (고도경주의 역사문화경관 특성과 보존 대책)

  • Gyeongju, with its thousand-year-old history of the Silla Dynasty, is an impressive historical city where beautiful nature of mountains in the background and rivers in its front is getting along with the city landscape. The historic landscape of Gyeongju is divided into three groups: the old town, the ruins preservation region in the southeast of old towns, and the natural landscape region surrounding these regions. The old town region shows a common landscape of which general small cities in Korea may have, while its surroundings display the overlaps of natural and historic landscapes. The special city landscape is presented only in Gyeongju. Nevertheless, the northern area of the old town was built based on the concept of new towns without any height restriction of buildings, damaging the historic landscape of Gyeongju. It is misjudgment by interpreting the cultural heritage as the individual artifact rather than the continuous historic landscape. Since the 1970s when rapid industrialization and urbanization appeared along with the comprehensive development for Gyeongju tourism, the historic landscape has been slowly damaged. There were not enough financial and political supports from the central government, because the project for Gyeongju tourism was focused on the investment on the tourist industry. Now, in order to preserve the historical city like Gyeongju which represents the culture of Korea, the central government should actively engage in its protection. Policies of the central government should be focused on educating people that the historical restoration of Gyeongju is a way of recovering the national pride, and drawing the agreement of people. For its accomplishment, the government should change its policy from economy-oriented to culture-oriented. That is, the cultural policy should be emphasized.

  • In 2006, the share of fisheries distribution in Busan amounted to 1.9 million ton, which was 41 percent of the whole country. In details, coastal fishery 334 thousand ton(14% of the whole country), deep sea fishery 452 thousand ton(82%), import fishery 964 thousand ton(70%), export fishery 157 thousand ton(43%) were distributed in Busan region, respectively. Recently, the share of fisheries sale through e-commerce is increasing owing to the growth of IT and competitive price of its products. and the sale share of large discount store is also on the 10% more increase owing to the effectiveness of distribution structure. Hereafter these structure changes of fisheries distribution in Busan will be more intensified. Therefore, after reflecting the change in distribution policy of Busan Fisheries, the directions of distribution policy should be established, as follows.   • The Spatial Image contents of Geomorphology 3-D environment is focused by the requirement and importance in the fields such as, national land development plan, telecommunication facility management, railway construction, general construction engineering, Ubiquitous city development, safety and disaster prevention engineering. The currently used DEM system using contour lines, which embodies geographic information based on the 2-D digital maps and facility information has limitation in implementation in reproducing the 3-D spatial city. Moreover, this method often neglects the altitude of the rail way infrastructure which has narrow width and long length. There it is needed to apply laser measurement technique in the spatial target object to obtain accuracy. Currently, the LiDAR data which combines the laser measurement skill and GPS has been introduced to obtain high resolution accuracy in the altitude measurement. In this paper, we tested of the railway facilities using laser surveying system, then we propose data a generation of spatial images for the optimal manage and synthesis of railway facility system in our 3-D spatial terrain information. For this object, LiDAR based height data transformed to DEM, and the realtime unification of the vector via digital image mapping and raster via exactness evaluation is transformed to make it possible to trace the model of generated 3-dimensional railway model with long distance for 3D tract model generation. As the results, We confirmed the solutions of varieties application for railway facilities management using 3-D spatial image contents.

A Study on the Ransomware Detection System Based on User Requirements Analysis for Data Restoration (데이터 복원이 가능한 사용자 요구사항 분석기반 랜섬웨어 탐지 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • Recently Ransomware attacks are continuously increasing, and new Ransomware, which is difficult to detect just with a basic vaccine, continuously has its upward trend. Various solutions for Ransomware have been developed and applied. However, due to the disadvantages and limitations of existing solutions, damage caused by Ransomware has not been reduced. Ransomware is attacking various platforms no matter what platform it is, such as Windows, Linux, servers, IoT devices, and block chains. However, most existing solutions for Ransomware are difficult to apply to various platforms, and there is a limit that they are dependent on only some specific platforms while operating. This study analyzes the problems of existing Ransomware detection solutions and proposes the onboard module based Ransomware detection system; after the system defines the function of necessary elements through analyzing requirements that can actually reduce the damage caused by the Ransomware from the viewpoint of users, it supports various OS without pre-installation and is able to restore data even after being infected. We checked the feasibility of each function of the proposed system through the analysis of the existing technology and verified the suitability of the proposed techniques to meet the user's requirements through the questionnaire survey of a total of 264 users of personal and corporate PC users. As a result of statistical analysis of the questionnaire results, it was found that the score of intent to introduce the system was at 6.3 or more which appeared to be good, and the score of intent to change from existing solution to the proposed system was at 6.0 which appeared to be very high.

A Study on the Correlation Analysis of China's IC Industry Profit and R&D Expenditure, New Products Development Costs and Annual Export Volume (중국 IC산업의 산업이익과 R&D 지출, 신제품 개발비 및 연간 수출량의 상관관계 분석)

  • IC industry is one of the foundation and core industries of modern information industry. Therefore, the study of this industry has important theoretical and practical significance. The main purpose of this study is to measure the degree of close correlation between the two indexes through correlation analysis of the selected indicators, so as to study the development trend and direction of IC. Based on the theory of induced innovation and the theory of comparative advantage, this paper analyzes the correlation between the profit of the IC industry and the following three indicators by using chart analysis method, covariance analysis method and correlation coefficient analysis method. These three indicators are R&D expenditure, new product development costs and annual export amount of IC. The selected data are mainly from CHINA STATISTICS YEARBOOK ON HIGH-TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRY. Through the research, it is found that the profit of China's IC industry is positively correlated with the first two indicators and negatively correlated with the annual export amount.

The Effects of Serial Entrepreneurs' Failure Attribution on Subsequent Venture: Moderating Effect of Entrepreneurial Self-efficacy and Resilience (창업가의 실패 귀인 지향성이 재창업에 미치는 영향: 기업가적 자기 효능감과 회복 탄력성의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • There is a growing interest in the entrepreneurial activity that has long been considered essential for sustainable economic development and value creating. Although it is strongly encouraged by focusing on the positive aspects of venturing, less has been paid attention to entrepreneurial failure, which is the biggest cause of hesitation in starting a business. The uncertain and risky nature of entrepreneurship implies a considerable possibility of failure. Even if it fails, the experience and knowledge of entrepreneurs acquired through entrepreneurship indeed offers valuable lessons for the re-venturing, which can serve as an important social asset that should not be lost. It has been argued that re-entering the same industry for the subsequent venture maximizes the learning effect through utilizing potential benefits from industry-specific knowledge. Although the re-startup after entrepreneurial failure is a very important topic in the studies on serial entrepreneurs, there is a paucity of systematic empirical investigation. This study responds to calls for more research on the re-startup after entrepreneurial failure, and specifically complements existing studies on serial entrepreneurs. Focusing on the entrepreneurs' attribution for the failure, we conducted an empirical analysis of how this affects the re-startup process. Moreover, we also examined the moderating effects of entrepreneurial self-efficacy and resilience. For the analyses, we surveyed the entrepreneurs who tried to re-start the subsequent business after the entrepreneurial failure through the "Revitalization Center for Strained Entrepreneur". The results found that failed entrepreneurs who blamed internal factors for their previous venture failures were likely to keep the same industry for their subsequent business. In addition, the positive effect of internal attribution on maintaining the same industry for the re-startup was found to be stronger when entrepreneurial self-efficacy and resilience were high.

The Impact of Opening Day Box Office Performance on a Movie's Final Box Office: Focusing on a Movie's Box Office Rank on an Opening Day (영화의 개봉일 흥행성과가 영화의 최종 흥행에 미치는 영향: 개봉일 흥행순위를 중심으로)

  • This study aims to find out predictors of a movie's eventual box office, focusing on a movie's box office rank on an opening day. For an empirical analysis, I use data of 794 commercial movies released in the Korean theatrical exhibition market during the recent five years(2013~2017). The regression analysis shows that being box office number one on an opening day has statistically significant impact on a movie's final box office. A movie's quality, measured by audience's review, does not give significant impact on top1 movie's final success. Indexes such as increase of showing number on Sunday are strongly related to a movie's economic success. The additional analysis on box office number one movie on an opening day, totally 158 movies, finds that box office growth rate on a second week is strongly related to a movie's final success. Lastly, correlation coefficient of a movie's opening day box office and final box office does not show consistent growth when the coefficient is compared yearly. This study might have meaning in that it proposes new box office predictors and shows the relation of the indexes and a movie's final performance empirically.

Cu Blackening through CuO Oxidation for the Application of Camera Lens Spacers in Mobile Phones (휴대폰 카메라 렌즈 스페이서 적용을 위한 구리의 흑화)

  • Black polymer spacers are currently used for physically separating aligned camera lenses in camera modules of mobile phones. However, the mechanical properties of polymer spacers have their limits, especially in the current trend of using more lenses in thinner camera modules. Thus, copper (Cu) becomes a good candidate for those polymer spacers because of its superior mechanical properties and its inherent blackness due to its black surfaced oxides, such as copper (II) oxide (cupric oxide, CuO). The latter property is critical in quality control because the closer the color of a spacer is to black, the less light interference and flaring phenomena can occur. A standard Cu blackening process and its operational conditions were proposed in this study through a comprehensive analysis of previous research and patents. The Cu blackening process is composed of cleaning, deoxidizing, activating, blackening and sealing. The effects of operational parameters, such as the temperature of each unit process and the activator concentration, were then investigated by measuring the blackness of the Cu strips with a colorimeter. The proposed operational conditions were determined by whether the blackness of Cu strips was within the on-spec. value used in the field.

A Study on Vortex-Induced Vibration Characteristics of Hydrofoils considering High-order Modes (고차모드를 고려한 수중날개 와류기인 진동특성 연구)

  • Vortex-induced vibration (VIV) occurs owing to the vortex generated from the back side of the appendages of ships and submarines during operation. Recently, the importance of high-order modes (HOMs) vibration and fatigue failure has become increasingly emphasized by increasing the speed of ships and the size of structures. In addition, predicting the vibration of HOMs is significantly necessary as the VIV becomes stronger in the fast flow speed condition than in the low flow speed condition. This study introduces a methodology according to HOMs hybrid Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI) for predicting the HOMs VIV on the hydrofoils. The HOMs FSI system is verified by comparing the VIV results from the FSI simulation with the experimental results. Finally, the effectiveness of the HOMs FSI is determined by applying the maximum von-Mises stress obtained from the VIV on the hydrofoil to the S-N curve released from Det Norske Veritas (DNV). VIV results from the HOMs FSI include the lock-in characteristics as well as a significant increase of more than 10 times compared with that of low-order modes (LOMs) FSI. In the future works, advanced studies will be required for improving cantilever boundary conditions and the shape of hydrofoils.

  • In the world, each country is preparing various policies to promote start-ups, and the Korean government is actively promoting policies to support start-ups and the national economy through technology-based start-ups for creating jobs. Recently, the number of start-up companies is on the rise. In particular, in accordance with the industrial structure transformation leading the 4th Industrial Revolution, technology-based start-ups are steadily growing based on knowledge-based services such as information and communication, science and technology service industry, and business support service industry. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the startup space provided by the university reflects the startup-friendly characteristics, and to investigate and analyze the satisfaction and requirements of the space required by the actual college campus startup space users to create a more efficient space configuration plan. Through this study, factors that should be considered first for universities in preparing startup spaces were derived for each space element. Therefore, it is necessary for university campuses to deeply recognize the importance of space provision among the future start-up support systems, and to improve them periodically through the consumers' satisfaction of the space in the construction and improvement of startup spaces.
