Games Development Methodology as a Teaching Tool for Elementary School: Case Study of Developing History Learning Game (초등 교과 학습 도구로서의 게임 개발 방법론: 역사 게임 개발 연구 사례를 중심으로)

  • This paper introduces an educational game development method for the purpose of designing game as part of school curriculum activities, base on experimental case of making history learning game for private elementary schools in Korea. Our first approach was to define a game as a educational learning tool like any other media and mediating platform such as smart phones or other applications. We regard user as a player, and students as a end user and decision making-customers. Unlike other game development process we brought service design methode to the development process, making a game platform that is specially designed for teachers' teaching tool, which is easy and effective to use to ther subject of teacher's intention. Based on our research case, we suggest educational games development methodology which can be better suited for games with school curriculum in learning environment.

  • 현대 사회에서 개발되는 제품이나 시스템, 소프트웨어는 개발자 중심을 벗어나 사용자 중심으로 변화하고 있으며 개발 단계에서 사용자의 사용성이 중요한 요소로 대두되고 있다. 교육용 소프트웨어에 대한 평가는 교수전략, 내용, 기술적 특성 둥을 중심으로 이루어지고 있는데 이는 개발자나 평가주체의 관점으로 실시되고 있으며, 실제 교육용 소프트웨어를 최종 사용하게 될 학생 중심의 사용성 평가는 미비한 실정이다. 교육용 소프트웨어를 사용할 학습자에게 가장 편리하고 쉬운 사용성을 확보해 준다는 것은 중요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 소프트웨어의 사용성 평가 기준, 웹 사이트의 평가 기준, 교육용 소프트웨어의 평가 기준을 분석하고 사용성의 평가요소를 추출하여 웹 기반 교육용 소프트웨어의 사용성 평가 기준을 제시하고자 한다.

  • This study analyzed relation with accounting information system operations of more integration and end-user's business processing capabilities. Also, Studied the correlation that has reflecting between business computer skills and training experience level of end-user in practical operation. In summary of this study, first, found out that the improvement and training level of computerized accounting training in mid-size enterprise can be processing more effectively an accounting information business. Second, the end-user training and business development of business processes using the system, the positive impact was significant. Finally, the introduction of the continuous integration system based on new technology analyzed more lower overall performance satisfaction of end-user in the tasks. Business Ability of end-user could be important factor as ongoing business development and training. The results of this study, It can support to effective strategies of end-user systems, will expected to further strengthen competitiveness in the future.

Exploratory Study on the Educational Planning Process Model for School Space Innovation - Focusing on User Participatory Design Practices - (학교교육공간 혁신을 위한 교육기획 절차 모형 탐색 - 교육분야 사용자 참여 설계 사례를 중심으로 -)

  • This study presents a model for educational planning based on user participatory design for the purposes of curriculum development and educational space innovation. It reviewed previous research and practices related to educational space innovation, educational planning processes, and user participation design and suggested a draft model. This model was applied in the renovation project of an elementary school, and the problems encountered during the application were reflected upon and used to improve the model. The final model comprises four phases. Phase 1 is an initial exploratory phase foruser participation, where educational planners and users form a shared perspective regarding the future of education. Phase 2 is a needs-analysis phase for the transition to future education, which focuses on setting the overall direction of the school-level curriculum. Phase 3 specifies the direction of future school curricula and identifies needs for educational spaces. Finally, Phase 4 focuses on the interaction between educational and space planners. Based on the above discussion, the study discussed the benefits and limitations of this educational planning model for school space innovation.

  • IT(Information Technology) has focused on infrastructure-technologies in the past but now focuses on IT service. Many companies strive to save costs and improve IT services. For this reason, they strive to implement a good internalization of ITSM (IT Service Management) by developing ITSM systems based on ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) from the late 2000s. In particular, IT service operations are one of the structure elements of ITIL version 3 and are highly related to the internalization of ITSM. However, in spite-of-the successful implementation of ITSM, the efficiency of IT service management has not improved due to iterative issues. Therefore, this study developed a user-centered training system by defining the iterative issue guidelines and implementing a database. The implemented user-centered training system provided IT service users with regular training services to produce a good solution for iterative issues after connecting the operation part of the ITSM system. Based on the results of this study, we expect that the proposed ITSM system will contribute to efficiently managing IT services by improving the limitations of IT service operation in the ITSM system.

  • 본 연구에서는 청주와 그 인근 지역에서 정보시스템을 개발하거나 운영하고 있는 업체의 IS 실무자들에게 (1) IS 실무자의 업무 수행 성과, (2) 소프트웨서 및 IT 전문기술수준, (3) IS 지식 및 능력 수준, 그리고 (5) 재교육 수요에 대해서 설문 조사하였다. 본 연구의 조사 대상자들은 주로 Sl(system integration) 업체에 종사하는 IT(information technology) 실무자들과 e-Business를 수행하는 일반 기업에서 전산 업무를 담당하고 있는 실무자들이며, 구체적으로는 전산시스템 운영자, 시스템/데이터베이스 분석/설계자, 어플리케이션/웹 프로그래머, 최종사용자 지원 담당자, e-Business를 위한 IT 지원 인력 등이다. 조사 결과는 다음과 같다. 충북 지역에서 IS 실무자들은 자신들의 업무를 성공적으로 수행하기 위한 지식 및 기술의 다양한 영역에서 광범위하게 지식 및 기술의 결핍을 느끼고 있으며, 자신의 업무 성과가 전반적으로 좋지 않다고 판단하고 있고, 업무 관련 지식 및 기술에 대한 재교육의 필요성을 강하게 느끼고 있다. 또한, 충북 지역의 IS 실무자들은 주된 활동이나 업무가 시스템 개발과 유지보수, 최종 사용자 지원 등의 활동이며, 이에 대한 최신의 기술과 고객 중심의 시각화된 도구(GUI)를 제공하는데 많은 시간을 투자하며, 기존의 반복적인 개발 업무에서 점차 경력이 쌓임에 따라 고객 중심적인 새로운 시스템 개발을 위한 기획과 관리에 많은 관심을 기울이고 있으나, 조직 운영 및 의사결정 등과 같은 기술/지식들에는 낮은 관심을 보였다. IT전문 기술들 중 IS 실무자들이 필요로 하고 보유해야 한다고 응답한 기술들은 대다수가 웹 개발에 관련된 기술이며, IS 실무자들은 대규모 프로젝트의 수행에 필요한 공동 작업 수행 능력의 제고와 그를 위한 재교육에 높은 관심을 나타내었다. 본 조사는 충북의 IS 실무자들을 위한 대학 교육과 재교육을 포함하는 최적의 평생 교육계획 수립을 위한 기초적이고 필수적인 정보를 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

  • This study applied the User-Centered Design(UCD) to develop effective VR safety training content for specific users. The UCD-based design was tailored to the VR, facilitating efficient design activities. The UCD process comprises key activities: deriving design concepts from user needs, designing with VR features, developing prototypes, conducting comprehensive evaluations with experts and users, and completing the finals. Unlike traditional UCD, this flexible approach allows iterative cycles, enhancing the quality and user satisfaction of VR safety training contents.

  • The D&M(DeLone and McLean) IS(Information System) Success model has been widely studied in various criteria such as e-commerce and education, and many empirical research has been performed enough to execute meta-analysis from original model developed in 1992 to updated model in 2003. However, almost all researches have been validated end-user point of view those could lead IS success factors perceived by users but not applicable to developers because developers could not recognize from those result that how much gap exist between one's perception and users. Therefore, in this research, we apply D&M IS success model to A bank developers and users and compare perceptions by multi-group structural equation model.

Key Factors Affecting Students' Satisfaction and Intention to Use e-Learning in Rwanda's Higher Education (르완다 고등교육기관 학생들의 e-러닝 만족도 및 사용의도에 영향을 미치는 핵심요인 연구)

  • This study aims to explore key factors which influence user's decision-making on the adoption of e-learning. We integrated UTAUT and Information Success Models to test that four independent factors affect student satisfaction to use e-learning in Rwanda's higher education. Data was collected by surveying students of University of Rwanda and Protestant Institute of Social Sciences (n=206). The analysis results showed that performance expectancy, facilitating conditions and effort expectancy except for social influence have a significant effect on students' satisfaction. This can help university administrators understand the factors that influence students' adoption of e-learning and incorporate these results into Rwanda's e-learning design and implementation. In final, Rwanda's government can contribute to establishing the e-learning policy and allocating its relevant resources centered on student needs.

  • This paper abstracts the key factors affecting business performance by ERP system at university in China and suggests how to use ERP system effectively at university. Main results are as follows: First, concern and support by CEO affects personal business performance of ERP. Second, ERP system education affects organizational business performance of ERP. Third, concern and support by CEO affects business enhancement performance of ERP.
