Mixed-Flow Pump Impeller-Diffuser Optimization Method by Using CFX and HEEDS (CFX 와 HEEDS 를 이용한 사류펌프 임펠러-디퓨저 최적화방법)

  • An optimization process was developed to improve mixed-flow pump performance. The optimization process was combined with CFX (a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code) and HEEDS (an optimization code). CFX is a widely used CFD software for turbo machinery, whereas HEEDS, which uses the SHERPA algorithm, is a newly introduced optimization code. HEEDS can use a large number of optimization variables; thus, it is possible to effectively consider interaction effects. In this paper, an impeller model, which is already optimized with design of experiments (DOE), is used as the base model. The optimization process developed in this paper shows an improved design within an acceptable timeframe.

  • In this paper, we propose a social-based collaboration systems for business process management in the mobile cloud. This XMDR-DAI is to provide services for data sharing and exchange between local systems that operate independently in a cloud environment, take charge of a social-based collaborative business process management. Social-based collaborative business processes are handled in a collision among a structure such as unit conversion, meaning conflict, and the schema mapping data resulting from the inner query. The conflict was resolved by mapping process which takes in each XMDR-DAI.

  • Most of electronic medical record systems which have been built in Korean hospitals are based on source oriented medical record approach. These systems hardly satisfy diverse objectives owing to the innate imperfections in system architecture and development methodology. Thus, the hybrid of source oriented and problem oriented approach is highly desirable. The purpose of this study is to present an architecture and methodology required to construct hybrid electronic medical record system and to develop a prototype based on them. Analyzing the clinical processes and data requirements of problem oriented medical record approach we developed a software process model as weel as an architecture model which consists of legacy system, clinical data repository, problem list database, prospective plan database, user interface, and synchronization procedures.

  • In this paper we present a probabilistic method for source separation in the case here each source has a certain temporal structure. We tackle the problem of source separation by maximum pseudo-likelihood estimation, representing the latent function which characterizes the temporal structure of each source by a random process with a Gaussian prior. The resulting pseudo-likelihood of the data is Gaussian, determined by a mixing matrix as well as by the predictive mean and covariance matrix that can easily be computed by Gaussian process (GP) regression. Gradient-based optimization is applied to estimate the demixing matrix through maximizing the log-pseudo-likelihood of the data. umerical experiments confirm the useful behavior of our method, compared to existing source separation methods.

  • 디지털 융합(Digital Convergence)이 모든 분야에서 급속히 전개됨으로서 기업들은 전략적으로 IT를 전사적으로 활용하면서 글로벌 시대의 경쟁 기업들에 비해 보다 빠른 신기술 습득을 적용함으로써 생존 경쟁의 우위 확보 전략이 점차 강화되고 있는 실정이다. IT 기술의 발전 방향도 전사적 데이터 및 비즈니스 프로세스의 통합을 통하여 전 영역에 걸쳐 신기술을 이용하여 표준화와 통합화로 진보되고 있다. 그러나 글로벌 경쟁체제인 세계화가 가속화 되고 있는 기업들의 품질 경영 활동이 실시간으로 처리되지 못함에 따라 각종 경영혁신 활동에 대한 통제/관리와 비용 절감 노력이 기업 역량 강화에 유기적인 효과를 거두지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서 일반적으로 제조 부문이나 사무간접(관리)부문에서도 적용 가능한 6시그마 추진 방법론을 기반으로 목표관리 및 방침관리인 Top-Down 프로세스인 순공학 품질경영 활동인 뿐만 아니라, 현장의 창의적인 품질경영 활동을 통한 Bottom-Up 프로세스인 역공학 품질경영 활동에서도 적용 가능한 실시간 동시공학적인 품질경영 활동의 프레임워크를 설계하도록 한다. 또한 가치 흐름 분석을 통해 낭비 요인을 철저하게 제거하고, 프로세스의 흐름을 최적화하여 원하는 품질경영 활동이 프로젝트로 발전하여 기업경영에 실시간으로 반영될 수 있는 전사적 통합 품질경영 활동 시스템을 제안하도록 한다.

A Study on Operation Problems for the Emergency Medical Process Using Real-Time Data (실시간데이터를 활용한 응급의료 프로세스 운영에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, interest in improving the quality of EMS(emergency medical services) has been increasing. Much effort is being made to innovate the EMS process. The rapid progress of ICT technology has accelerated the automation or intelligence of EMS processes. This study suggests an emergency room management method based on real-time data considering resource utilization optimization, minimization of human error and enhancement of predictability of medical care. Emergency room operation indices - Emergency care index, Short stay index, Human error inducing index, Waiting patience index - are developed. And emergency room operation rules based on these indices are presented. Simulation was performed on a virtual emergency room to verify the effectiveness of the proposed operating rule. Simulation results showed excellent performance in terms of length of stay.

  • In the services industry and firms, the successful new service development is very important issue today, But the innovation process for service firms is comprehensively little treated until now. This study was performed to suggest the new service development process model for the firms level in the perspective of the radical service innovation. So, in this paper the new process development model can be made by reviewing the concepts about the radical service innovation and by analyzing the some existing new service development process models. In the suggested service development process model, the three key process such as technology forecast, market analysis, and strategy development were included for front phase activity as the new service development process. Also the four key process for searching phase, and the other three key process for implementation phase were included. And for the application for the service firms' service innovation, the innovation's outcome estimation reference model is included. I hope to be executed the various case research and the improvement and optimization for this suggested process model in the future.

Analysis and Optimization of ICT Application in Construction Phase (시공단계 ICT 도입 효과분석 및 최적화 방안)

  • This paper presents a modeling prototype that optimizes construction processes implementing information communication technology (ICT). Using "IAMB", each and every actual steps of the construction process may be defined visually and explicitly by elaborating ICT to improve productivity and management efficiency. It contributes to identify the features on what parts of construction task are covered by ICT, and the effects of ICT on process performance. After analyzing 10 real project cases, ICT application types are classified into four categories according to ICT type, job functions that ICT applied, and the project phase in which ICT used. As a reuslt, it was confirmed that the positive outcomes on the construction process were beneficial to mostly the general contractors and mainly obtained by automated information processing, external consignment and consistent information use. Negative effects, which were occurred by mainly manual manipulation and duplication of information handling, were accrued to general contractors minimally, but to subcontractors maximally. Expert focus group commends that several important issues should be considered when implementing ICT.

A Comparative Study of Approximation Techniques on Design Optimization of a FPSO Riser Support Structure (FPSO Riser 지지구조의 설계최적화에 대한 근사화 기법의 비교 연구)

  • The paper deals with the comparative study of design optimization based on various approximation techniques in strength design of riser support structure installed on floating production storage and offloading unit(FPSO) using offshore operation loading conditions. The design optimization problem is formulated such that structural member sizing variables are determined by minimizing the weight of riser support structure subject to the constraints of structural strength in terms of loading conditions. The approximation techniques used in the comparative study are response surface method based sequential approximate optimization(RBSAO), Kriging based sequential approximate optimization(KBSAO), and the enhanced moving least squares method(MLSM) based approximate optimization such as CF(constraint feasible)-MLSM and Post-MLSM. Commercial process integration and design optimization(PIDO) tools are employed for the applications of RBSAO and KBSAO. The enhanced MLSM based approximate optimization techniques are newly developed to ensure the constraint feasibility. In the context of numerical performances such as design solution and computational cost, the solution results from approximate techniques based design optimization are compared to actual non-approximate design optimization.

  • These days the closed cycle gas turbine attracts considerable attention due to : (1) The possibility of directly coupling the closed cycle gas turbine with a high temperature gas cooled reactor ; (2) the economical use of dry coolers to reduce the thermal charge of the environment ; and (3) the reduction of pollution and energy consumption, by replacing the domestic hearth by a central heating and power station. In this paper, we selected the optimal cycle from the characteristic of thermodynamic cycle for the optimal design of closed CO$_{2}$ gas turbine cycle usuable in nuclear energy power plant. Also the effects of between the parameters and thermal efficiency were investigated by computer simulation. These results and design data will be added to basics in optimal designing closed CO$_{2}$ cycle gas turbine plant.
