Optical Evaluation of MR8 Material spectacle Lens with a New Method for the Analysis of Blue Light (새로운 청광 분석법을 적용한 MR8 안경재료의 광학적 시험 평가)

  • Purpose : We present a novel method for the analysis of blue light applied by the analysis method of David L. with optical experiment and blue light by measuring the transmittance by dividing it by the refractive power in the spectacle lens made by MR8. Methods : The lenses of -8.00D, -7.00D, -6.00D, -5.00D, -4.00D, -3.00D, and 0.00D manufactured by MR8 being sold in the market, were selected. The transmittance was measured at the intervals of 5 nm from 200 to 1000 nm with UV-VIS Spectrophotometers (SolidSpec 3700), and they were in range of the blue light (380 to 500 nm) analyzed by a David L.'s analysis method. Results : All of the MR8 lenses selected for this study almost completely blocked at the UV range. A lens of -8.00D was measured as the lowest transmittance of 59.56% in the blue light area and low values were measured at the blue areas 1 and 2 according to the analysis of David L.In the infrared ray area, the transmittance of all lenses gradually decreased. The average value of the luminous transmittance was 23.67% ~ 26.33% and then gradually decreased from -4.00D. Conclusion : Applying the analysis of David L., a minimum of 41.28% and a maximum of 46.60% were measured at the blue light 1 area and a minimum of 87.30% and a maximum of 97.55% were measured at the blue light 2 area. A minimum of 86.83% and a maximum of 96.55% were measured at the blue light 3 area, and the average was 94%. The luminous transmittance of the -3.00D lens was 26.33%, which was the highest, and that -8.00D was 23.67%, which was the lowest.

  • The planning procedure of a transit operation consists of design, operation, and evaluation according to the research characteristics. There are some review studies on the operation and evaluation procedure, but the research on the design procedure has not yet been organized systematically. In this study, the research on transit system design was reviewed and the model structure and its solution method were arranged. The decision variables of the design procedure are network structure, line spacing or position, stop spacing, dispatching headway, and fleet size. In the analytical research on design procedure, system total cost is generally used as the objective function. System total cost is comprised of user cost, which is the sum of user access, waiting, and travel cost, and operating cost. Total cost of the transit system, used as the objective function, has the unique minimum because it is differentiable. There is a certain decision variable that makes the derivative of the objective function equal to zero and the second derivative of the objective function is positive. Therefore the decision variable that makes the first derivative of the objective function zero is the optimum that minimizes the objective function, and each of the cost components of the objective function become the same. This study is expected to help understanding about the research on the design procedure of transit operation planning and to help be a catalyst for relevant research.

Development of Tip Device for Hydraulic Filling Efficiency Improvements (수압식 충전의 효율 향상을 위한 선단장치 개발에 관한 연구)

  • In recent, the using of the hydraulic filling method has increased on the underground reinforcement of the abandoned mine in Korea, however it is the lack of research on the efficient filling method. In this study, tank model tests and field tests were conducted for development of tip device for filling efficiency improvements on the hydraulic filling method. In tank model experiments, the filling efficiency was evaluated according to the form and angle of the nozzle on tip device in the same condition. Then tip device model designed by tank model tests was applied to the field experiment. As a result, the amount of filling of nozzle $90^{\circ}$ tube is increased by approximately 18% compared to the common vertical injection pipe. The angle of repose was $30.82^{\circ}$. Filling hole spacing in the field is usually designed from 5m up to 10m assumed to be $40^{\circ}$ of the angle of repose. According to the results of this study, it is possible that the filling hole spacing expands at least 10m up to 15m applied to be $30^{\circ}{\sim}35^{\circ}$ of the angle of repose. Therefore, it is expected to be economical and efficient mine filling.

  • 현재, 새로운 조명광원으로서 백색 LED가 기대되고 있으며, 이를 이용하는 조명이 확대되어 실용화 될 것으로 예상된다. LED 광원을 이용하여 조명기구를 제작하고 이것을 실내조명으로 사용할 때 조명기구에 의한 글레어가 편안함을 주는지 불편함을 주는지에 대한 평가가 요구된다. 실내 조명환경에 대한 불쾌글레어를 평가하기 위해 UGR(Unified Glare Rating)을 추천하고 있다. 그러나 균일한 글레어 광원의 평균휘도를 이용하여 계산된 종래의 불쾌글레어 평가법들은 불균일한 휘도를 갖는 LED 조명기구에 대해서는 적용하기 어렵게 될 것으로 판단된다. 그래서 UGR를 이용하였을 경우, 균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구와 불균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구에 대해서 어떠한 차이가 있는지 다음의 불쾌글레어의 주관평가 실험을 수행하였다. 평균휘도가 같고 최대 휘도와 최소 휘도가 다른 조명기구(균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구 1종과 불균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구 2종)를 글레어 광원으로 사용하였다. 입체각(${\omega}$)과 위치지수(Position Index)를 고정시키고 배경휘도($L_b$)와 광원휘도($L_s$)를 임의로 변화시켰다. 주어진 환경에서 피험자로 하여금 얼마나 편안하진 또는 불편한지에 대한 느낌을 값으로 평가하도록 하였다. 우선, UGR과 주관평가 사이에 차이가 나타났으며, 이는 동 서양에 따른 문화적 및 생리적 차이에 기인한다고 생각된다. 다음으로 균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구보다 불균일한 휘도를 갖는 LED 조명기구가 더 높은 값을 할당 받아 LED 조명기구가 불쾌감을 더 유발시키는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 LED 소자 간격에 따른 영향은 글레어 광원의 휘도가 높아질수록 크게 나타났으며, 배경휘도에 대해서도 광원의 휘도가 높아질수록 LED 소자 간격의 차이에 의한 영향이 나타났다. 따라서 UGR식은 균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구에 적용하기에는 적합하지만, 불균일한 휘도를 갖는 조명기구에 적용하기에는 부적합하다고 판단된다.

Three Dimensional Numerical Analysis on Rock Cutting Behavior of Disc Cutter Using Particle Flow Code (3차원 입자결합모델을 이용한 디스크 커터의 암석절삭에 관한 연구)

  • The LCM (Linear Cutting Machine) test is one of the most powerful and reliable methods for designing the disc cutter and for predicting the TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) performance. It has an advantage to predict the actual load on disc cutter from the laboratory test on the real-size large rock samples, however, it also has a disadvantage to transport and/or prepare the large rock samples and to need an extra cost for experiment. In order to overcome this problem, lots of numerical studies have been performed. In this study, the PFC3D (Particle Flow Code in 3 Dimension) has been adopted for numerical analysis on optimum cutter spacing and failure aspects of Busan Tuff. The optimum cutting condition with s/p ratio of 16 and minimum specific energy of $14MJ/m^3$ was derived from numerical analyses. The cutter spacing for Busan Tuff had the good agreements with those of LCM test and numerical analysis by finite element method.

Experimental Tests for the Evaluation of One-dimensional and Two-dimensional Acoustic Source Locations with 50m length of a PSC Box Girder (50m PSC박스거더를 이용한 1차원과 2차원 음원위치 산정 실험)

  • This paper presents experimental research work for the evaluation of one-dimensional and two-dimensional acoustic source locations with 50m length of a precast prestressed concrete box girder. Acoustic events are generated by the impacts of Schmidt Hammer and the impact signals are detected by acoustic emission sensors mounted on the concrete web surface of PSC box girder with the average spacing of 9.34m. Based on the amplitude of detected acoustic signals, considering the noises developed in PSC box girder bridges, the arrival times of acoustic signals are estimated by the first arrival times of 0Volt, 0.5Volt, and 1.0Volt amplitude in each signal. Using Least Square Method, the velocities and the source locations of acoustic signals are evaluated. Based on the test results, the spacing of AE sensors and the AE sensor networks are discussed to reduce the source location errors.

달 탐사선의 항행해 결정을 위한 심우주 예비 항법 소프트웨어의 개발

  • 이 연구는 심우주 추적망(Deep Space Network) 측정 시스템의 구현을 위한 한국형 심우주 항법 예비 소프트웨어(Korean Deep Space Orbit Determination Program version 1; K-DSODP ver.1)의 개발을 목표로 한다. 연구의 주 내용은 심우주 항법을 위한 기초 기술 연구로 지구로부터 달까지 진행하는 탐사선의 궤적 추정에 대한 것이며, 연구의 시작에 앞서 사용될 관측 데이터를 얻기 위해 한국형 심우주 항법 관측데이터 생성 소프트웨어(Korean Deep Space Observation Data Generation Program version 1; K-DSODGP ver.1)를 개발하여 사용하였다. 임의의 잡음이 추가된 가상의 관측 데이터를 생성한 후, 이 관측 데이터를 실제 궤도로 상정하여 기하학적인 관측 모델을 수립하였고, 일정한 시간 간격동안 모은 임의의 관측 데이터를 가지고 궤도 결정을 수행하여 추정된 궤도를 전파하였다. 궤도 결정 알고리즘을 구성하기 위해 기본적인 좌표계, 탐사선에 미치는 지구의 중력에 대한 동역학 모델, 천체력과 탐사선의 동역학 모델로 구성된 관측 모델들을 유도하였으며, 탐사선의 위치와 속도를 추정하는 과정에서 가중치 최소 자승법을 적용하여 추정 궤도와 실제 궤도의 최소화를 유도하였다. 이러한 일련의 과정을 통해 요구한 시각의 탐사선의 위치와 속도를 결정하는 궤도결정 시스템을 구현하였고, 궤도 결정 시스템의 성능을 평가하기 위해 전파된 궤도와 실제 궤도의 차이를 분석하였다. 결과적으로 300초마다 관측데이터를 받을 경우, 2일 이상의 궤도결정 시간간격을 상정했을 때 평균 오차는 각각 약 0.26km RMS(range), 6.84km/s RMS(range-rate) 이내의 결과를 얻었고, 600초마다 관측데이터를 받을 경우, 평균 오차는 각각 약 0.30km RMS (range), 6.35km/s RMS(range-rate) 이내의 안정적인 결과를 얻었다. 이 연구의 결과를 통하여 추후 심화된 심우주 항법 소프트웨어 개발을 위한 기반이 마련될 것이다.

MUSIC-Based Direction Finding through Simple Signal Subspace Estimation (간단한 신호 부공간 추정을 통한 MUSIC 기반의 효과적인 도래방향 탐지)

  • The MUSIC (MUltiple SIgnal Classification) method estimates the directions of arrival (DOAs) of the signals impinging on a sensor array based on the fact that the noise subspace is orthogonal to the signal subspace. In the conventional MUSIC, an estimate of the basis for the noise subspace is obtained by eigendecomposing the sample matrix, which is computationally expensive. In this paper, we present a simple DOA estimation method which finds an estimate of the signal subspace basis directly from the columns of the sample matrix from which the noise power components are removed. DOA estimates are obtained by searching for minimum points of a cost function which is defined using the estimated signal subspace basis. The minimum points are efficiently found through the Brent method which employs parabolic interpolation. Simulation shows that the simple estimation method virtually has the same performance as the complex conventional method based on the eigendecomposition.

GPS Receiver and Satellite DCB Estimation using Ionospheric TEC (전리층 TEC를 이용한 GPS 수신기와 위성의 DCB 추정)

  • We estimated the receiver and satellite differential code bias(DCB) based on the ionospheric total electron content(TEC) estimation method. The GPS network which has been operated by the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute(KASI) was designed to calculate TEC. The receiver and satellite DCB values were obtained from the weighted least square method with time interval for one hour. The results represented that the receiver DCB values are mostly varying within ${\pm}2m$ meter and are derived comparatively stable within three days. The estimated mean values of the satellite DCB show the maximum and minimum values of 4.09 nano-second(ns), -6.28ns respectively. We could detect great variations of TEC over 9 TECU difference at any time when the DCB sets were applied to TEC estimation.

  • Crystal structure of Bis(ethylenediamine)palladium(II)-Bis(oxalato)palladate(II0 has been determined by X-ray crystallography. Crystal data : (Pd(C2H8N2)2.Pd(C2O4)2), Fw=509.04, Monocline, Space Group P21/c (no=14), a=6.959(2), b=13.506(2), c=15.339(2) Å, β=99.94(3), Z=4, V=1420 Å3, Dc=2.380 gcm-3, μ=25.46cm-1, F(000)=992. The intensity data were collected with Mo-Kα radiation (λ=0.7107 Å) on an automatic four-circle diffractometer with a graphite monochromater. The structure was solved by Patterson method and refined by full matrix least-square methods using unit weights. The final R and S values were R=0.021, Rw=0.030, Rall=0.032 abd S=2.1 for 1472 observed reflections. The essentially planar complex anions form diade of interplanar distances of 3.41 Å and their diads are stacked along aaxis with interplanar separation of 3.44 Å.
