An Empirical Analysis of the Aggregate Travel Demands of the Urban Households in Korea (우리나라 도시가구 거주자의 집계교통수요함수 분석)

  • 우리 국민의 교통수요행태를 분석하기 위하여 준이상수요체계(almost ideal demand system) 함수형태의 집계교통수요모형을 설정하였다. 대중교통수단으로서 시내버스, 시외버스, 택시, 기차, 전철이 그리고 개인교통수단으로서 연료비가 포함되었으며, 기타재화 및 서비스에 대한 소비지출이 함께 추정되었다. 추정에 이용된 자료는 통계청의 "도시가계연보"에 수록된 '전국 도시가구 소비지출'과 "물가통계"에 수록된 '전국 도시소비자 물가'이다. 추정결과 모형의 설명력을 나타내는 수정결정계수(adjusted-$R^2$)는 대부분 0.9 내외에서 높게 나타났다. 추정계수는 총 51개중에서 25개가 5% 수준에서 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 추정된 계수값을 이용하여 가격탄력성과 소득탄력성을 구하였다. 자기가격탄력성과 소득탄력성 추정치는 조금 높기는 하나 부호와 상대적 크기가 모두 예상과 일치하고 다른 연구결과들과 유사한 범위에 있다. 연료비에 대한 소득탄력성은 1.72로 가장 높게 나타났고, 대중교통수단은 0.03~0.49 사이에서 나타나므로 교통수단이 정상재임을 의미한다. 보상수요의 교차가격탄력성은 총 15개의 교차관계에서 12개의 관계가 상식과 일치한다. 다음 연구에서는 더 많은 시계열자료를 발굴하여, 장기간의 교통수요 변화에 대한 분석을 시도할 필요가 있다. 또한 초월대수함수나 동태함수 등 다양한 형태의 수요함수를 시도할 필요가 있다. 여러가지 형태의 교통수요함수추정을 통해서 우리 현실에 적합한 교통수요모형을 발견할 수 있을 것이다. 대도시와 중소도시 등 지역별 지출자료를 발굴하여 지역특성을 반영하는 교통수요함수의 추정도 필요하다.

  • 수자원 계획 및 관리 분야에서는 여러 상반된 기준들을 고려하여 의사결정을 내려야 하는 상황이 매우 빈번하게 발생한다. 따라서 이러한 상충되는 기준들에서 최적의 대안들을 찾고 이를 결정하기 위해 다기준 의사결정 분석과 같은 방법을 고려할 필요가 있다. 다기준 의사결정의 중요한 특징은 목적과 기준을 설정, 상대적 가중치들을 추정, 개별 성능 기준에 대한 대안들의 기여도를 결정하는데 있어서 의사 결정자의 판단에 중점을 두는 것이다. 주관적인 견해가 너무 많이 산재할 경우는 문제가 될 수 있지만, 원칙적으로 다기준 의사결정은 목적, 기준, 가중치 및 목표 달성 평가에 내한 의사결정자의 선택을 중시하며, 이를 과학적이고 명확한 방법으로 표현할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 또한 다기준 의사결정방법들은 비용-편익 분석의 실무적인 한계를 초월하는 의사결정 사안들을 위한 구조, 분석 방법, 융통성을 가지고 있기도 한다. 본 연구에서는 최근 국내 수자원 계획 및 관리 분야에 적용되는 계층화분석방법 이외에 유럽 등지에서 많이 활용되고 있는 가치함수법, Outranking 방법 등을 소개하고자 기준에 대한 대안들의 점수를 부여하는 방법과 가중치 산정 방법을 소개하였다. 또한 수자원 분야에 적용되었던 다기준 의사결정분석 방법을 소개함으로써 국내 수자원 분야에서 발생할 수 있는 여러 상반된 기준을 고려시 최적의 대안을 찾아내는데 중요한 정보를 제공하고자 한다.

  • Students with learning disabilities need special education programs. In the traditional class, those students may not be satisfied with their studies. Thus, it is important to provide individualized class for those students. Classes using smart devices may give one of the solutions for individualized class. Unlike the typical mathematical problems, written problems require students to use various cognitive strategies, mathematical reasoning, inference ability, and so on. In this sense, written problems are good tools to develop the logical minds for students with learning disabilities. In this paper, a WOE-based smart learning system is proposed to help those students develop learning abilities. The proposed system has the following characteristics. First, students can learn naturally problem-solving abilities by following the work-out examples given from experts. Second, the proposed system can invoke motivation and interests of students using attractive icons and guidance rules provided with smart phone. Third, the proposed system can provide self-directed study for those students. The proposed system is applied for some students with learning disabilities. The following results are obtained. First, the individualized study can be possible since the system can provide continuous feedbacks and level-differentiated classes. Second, students can increase written problem solving abilities with natural understanding of study contents from smart phone. Finally, satisfaction, study motivation, and self-concept of students are increased through their successful experience during study processes.

The Efficacy of Online Lectures in University and English Reading Comprehension for EFL Learners (EFL 학습자의 영어 독해력 향상을 위한 대학 온라인 강의의 효율성 연구)

  • This study aims to examine the efficacy of online lectures conducted by most universities in 2020 in response to the Covid-19 crisis. Furthermore, this study analyzes students' opinions regarding online lectures, thereby assessing the possible direction that future online lectures could take. This study's results indicate that online lectures can have a positive effect on learners' reading comprehension. Also, student satisfaction with online lectures was found to be quite high. Among the reasons students cited for favoring the online format were: (1) the fun presentation of class information; (2) the diversity of subjects covered; and (3) the ease of using the Internet. Among the improvements made for enhancing online lectures were technical enhancements (such as fixing attendance check authentication errors) and stabilizing the playback of lecture videos. By way of concluding, this study claims that professors who are familiar with giving lectures in person should come to recognize that online lectures are not simply another option, but are essential for the future. As such, the academic community must focus on developing online content as a way to further higher education's development in meeting the academic demands of both the present and the future.

  • After that Internet was introduced to Korea, Web page has developed from text centered to graphic-centered at its fist stage. At the present, it is improving to a design for users. Furthermore, with the acceleration of Information super-highway construction and generalization of basic technology for multi-media, the educational environment has transformed to demander-focused and internet basis service which transcends time and space. Consequently, the educational structure is converting from instructors unilateral lead to student-centered. Additionally, the common usage and digitalization of information have an effect on progress of education quality and cost saving. Although there are plenty of educational web pages on internet, we can notice that many of them are inconvenient for users to put into practice. The reason is that many experts overlook the fundamental which is the basic skill for design and understanding of Web must be accompanied with Web design. Therefore, this thesis will find out the points users should consider for use of Web page and realize the educational web page, reflected for VRML training.

  • The Context-Awareness technology which can provide the appropriate information to the human after estimating a lot of information exceeds the time and space in the ubiquitous environment is being developed now. GIS (Geographic Information System) and LBS (Location Based Services) based context awareness is one of these kinds of technology. The context awareness based transfer guide service which can provide useful information, according to the different information which was got from different sensors which were set in different places, to the pedestrian who is using the transfer center will be introduced in this paper. About the result of the service prototype which was tested in test-bed, the context awareness information such as the inside location and density calculation's accuracy is 90%, and the response time of the service is in 10 seconds, and also, the reliability will be higher if more advanced based infra will be used, so it is consider that it can be used to provide service enough.

  • Despite the fact that culture and the industrial market is growing rapidly and becoming competitive, Disney animation studio has kept its reputation. They have their own know-how accumulated for a long time to stimulate the audience's sensibilities beyond time and space. This study is looking for the strategy of Disney animation using effects and forms of Hero's narrative. As a result, the original works have been adapted by 3 spaces of hero's narrative and songs was prepared according to the journey. Characters was constructed by combining original and it made an antithetical Antagonist and the triangle of helpmates. These strategies satisfy contemporary needs, as well as Disney's ideology using transformational resilience. Research will be needed to utilize the elements of culture through the analysis of the common strategy for success in spite of the time change.

  • Adorno's most important criticism in popular movement is the identity of revolutionary leaders and followers. The identification process has three characteristics. The first characteristic is to create a sense of solidarity within the group by creating an image more real than the antagonist and ensuring the distinction between the enemy and the comrades. Individual entities that resist the mass created by the sense of solidarity disappear, and only the subject identified with the group exists. The second characteristic is to present an optimistic utopia, which makes the public believe that salvation comes from transcendent values. This mass movement also leads to criticism of other groups or people who are deemed off-limits to their own solidarity. The third characteristic is that the public, whose individual subject disappears through the narcissism-based public hypnotic state, is identified with the conductors, and forces other subjects to hypnotize themselves. The purpose of this paper is to examine how Adorno criticizes the fascist violence of mass movements and analyze what this suggests about the task of mass movements.

  • Metaverse is a combination of Meta and Universe, which refers to a world in which users or avatars engage in social, economic, and cultural activities. This study attempted to compare the four worldviews proposed by the Acceleration Studies Foundation (ASF) based on the five evaluation factors of SPICE, which are factors for promoting customer experience. 227 samples were used in the analysis, and as a result, seamlessness was the highest in augmented reality, interoperability in lifelogging, presence in the mirror world, and concurrence in virtual reality. This study is meaningful in that it presents a model design plan according to the classification of the metaverse platform and the worldview, and presents detailed strategic directions to existing metaverse platform operators or new entrants.

  • The expansion of media is in close connection with the expansion of awareness. The invention of characters enabled mankind to cross over time and space. Machines led to the development of body functions and electricity led to the expansion of space and time. Computers are the extension of the human brain and the advent of the internet led to the expansion of relationships. Even at this moment, media is unremittingly progressing like a spread of a mutant virus, and has resulted in fusion and complex phenomena such as convergence and hybrid media. Transmedia is a compound word formed by the word "Trans" which means traverse, transcend, penetrate or change, and the word "Media" and has the meaning "media which transcends media" which embraces all of modern day media. However, unlike other fusion or complex media, it is different in that it is not a combination of technologies but a combination of technology and emotion. Thus, transmedia should be recognized as a form of media that carries a significant meaning from the user experience aspect as it must simultaneously satisfy both "emotional awareness", which appeals to the human emotion, and "conscious awareness" of mankind, which arises out of the digital technology considered to be important in the smart-era society. This study first examines the concept of transmedia, and then examines the role of user experience design which triggers conscious thinking and strategies for emotional marketing. This study aims to be recognized as a matter for consideration with respect to the development stage for the establishment of a steady communication relationship between developers and designers, as well as communication with users.
