  • In this study, It analyzed the effect of pair programming teaching methods in elementary software education. At first, for the development of SW educational programs it surveyed 162 elementary students and 34 teachers in J area. As a result, developed SW educational programs based on geometry in elementary mathematics and it was applied. For application SW programs it was constructed 22 students experimental group, 22 students comparison group of 44 students in 3, 4, 5th grade the winter break of ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ university education donation application. First, software education using pair programming will be more effective on the development of elementary school students' computational thinking. Second, software education using pair programming will be more effective on the development of elementary school students' creativity. Test results, pair programming is to show a significant difference on the development of computational thinking and creativity in elementary software education.

  • This study is conducted to analyze the parents' perceptions of policy and needs of the elementary SW education. We surveyed in targeting 273 parents who did not participate living in big and small cities and 74 parents participated in the SW-related event. And we analyzed the differences in policy and the need of the SW education of the groups. Analysis showed that parents who participated in the SW-related events were considered to be positive about education than parents who non-participated in the SW-related events. They who participated in the SW-related events also recognized that the SW education needs for the child' s future. Based on these results, in order to include the SW education in formal education curriculum in elementary education, we have to conduct a variety of SW-related events aimed at parents. And we could see the effort required for the promotion of the general public people.

  • Rapid changes in modern society after the COVID-19 have highlighted artificial intelligence talent as a major influencing factor in determining national competitiveness. Accordingly, the Ministry of Education planned a large-scale SW·AI camp education project to develop the digital capabilities of 4th to 6th grade elementary school students and middle and high school students who are in a vacuum in artificial intelligence education. Therefore, this study aims to develop a camp-type SW·AI education program for students in grades 4-6 of elementary school so that students in grades 4-6 of elementary school can acquire basic knowledge in artificial intelligence. For this, the meaning of SW·AI education in elementary school is defined and SW·AI contents to be dealt with in elementary school are: understanding of SW AI, 'principle and application of SW AI', and 'social impact of SW AI' was set. In addition, an attempt was made to link the set elements of elementary school SW AI education and learning with related subjects and units of textbooks currently used in elementary schools. As for the program used for education, entry, a software coding learning tool based on block coding, is designed to strengthen software programming basic competency, and all programs are designed to be operated centered on experience and experience-oriented participants in consideration of the developmental characteristics of elementary school students. In order for SW·AI education to be organized and operated as a member of the regular curriculum, it is suggested that research based on the analysis of regular curriculum contents and in-depth analysis of SW·AI education contents is necessary.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the perception of parents in order to develop a software education program for elementary students convergence with English. A survey was administered to 120 parents asking perceptions about SW education in schools and preferences about English-SW convergence programs for their elementary school children. The results shows that the parents think the current 17 hours of SW education provided at elementary schools is not enough and also they hoped the education started at an earlier grade than the current 5th·6th graders. Most parents perceived English is helpful in SW education and answered strongly for the need of English-SW convergence programs. A two-week program with the ratio of 6(SW):4(English) was the most preferred according to the study. As for regional differences, the parents in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province wanted SW education as after-school programs in elementary schools whereas, parents in Chungcheong Province expected SW education programs be provided from near-by universities. It is hoped that with the results of this study various English-SW education programs are developed and operated.

  • In this study, we examine the effects of SW education using robot on flow in elementary school. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, SW education using robot was conducted to 155 students. In addition, we examined mean difference using matched pair t-test and ANCOVA. Our results show that SW education using robot significantly improved flow. Further, flow was not associated with gender. This study was investigated effects of the SW education using robot and identify differences depending on gender, and expanded the understanding of the SW education using robot.

  • As promotion of the 3D printer supply policy, need for 3D printer education is emphasized. But it is few that study of 3D printing educational program teachers can utilize at school. Especially study of CAD SW is very urgent because most of the CAD SW for 3D modeling is difficult and expensive. So in this study, we examine the CAD SW for educational purposes and propose educational programs that can be used at primary school. The instructional model is called "MDIAP" which consists of five stages : Motivation, Demonstration, Imitation, Application, Presentation. Instructional process is consisted of performing tasks and projects. We expect to enhance the function of 3D modeling and creative thinking which is essential to the Fourth Industrial Revolution society.
