  • The present study aimed to understand young adult women's disordered eating symptoms with materialism and pathological celebrity worship. Specifically, we hypothesized that pathological celebrity worship and internalization of sociocultural attitudes towards appearance would mediate the relationship between materialism and disordered eating symptoms among young adult women. A total of 601 female college students participated in this study. As hypothesized, we found that materialism predicted pathological celebrity worship and increased internalization of sociocultural attitudes towards appearance, which in turn, led to a higher level of disordered eating symptoms. Our findings suggest that young adult women's disordered eating behaviors should be understood as a sociocultural phenomenon rather than as an individual woman's personal issue.

With its target on 3,712 people in their twenties and thirties, it has used complex sample cross analysis to figure out the relationship between their mental health and eating habits. Also, it has carried out multiple logistic regression analysis for the purpose of grasping the youth's mental health risk factors. Under the circumstances, controlling the subjects' individual characteristics, the study has shown that males with their breakfast and dinner partners have lower possibilities of depression and suicidal thoughts. Meanwhile, in the case of females, their breakfast and lunch partners have played a key role in lowering their stress and suicidal thoughts. Given these results, the government will have to make all-out efforts to upgrade public places and spaces for the youth to eat together. All this will lead to their healthy eating habits and positive mental health. More specifically, it will have to create variable programs necessary for educating them to manage their diet and enjoy eating with other people.

The study examined the mediating effects of basic psychological needs, autonomy, competence, and relatedness, in the relationship between self-concealment and the commitment to opposite-sex romantic relationships. For this purpose, a self-report survey was conducted on 197 adults aged 20 to 29 who are currently in opposite-sex romantic relationships, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and PROCESS MACRO v3.5. The main results of this study are as follows. First, gender, age, and duration of dating period among the subject's demo-social variables significantly impacted the commitment to opposite-sex romantic relationships. Second, satisfying relatedness among the basic psychological needs had the largest influence on the commitment to opposite-sex romantic relationships, and self-concealment negatively affected the commitment to opposite-sex romantic relationships. Third, relatedness from the basic psychological needs had a significant mediating effect between self-concealment and the commitment to romantic relationships. It can be seen that it is crucial to lower self-concealment and to satisfy relatedness among the basic psychological needs in order to promote commitment to romantic relationships in early adulthood. This study is meaningful in that it tried to reveal the influence of individual psychological factors on the commitment to the romantic relationship, and it is significant that it proposed a basis for intervention to promote the commitment to opposite-sex romantic relationships in early adulthood.

  • This pot experiment was conducted in order to observe the effects of double superphosphate and fused phosphate application(T$_1$: control. T$_2$: double superphosphate application, T$_3$; fused phosphate application) on the seedling vigour, botanical composition, and yields of grass/clover mixed swards on newly reclaimed hilly soil. The results obtained are summarized as fellows: At the grassland establishment. the seedling vigour and yields of grass-clover mixed swards were much better by the T$_2$than the T$_3$. These favorable effects were more enhanced in white clover than orchardgrass. Compared with the T$_2$, the T$_3$resulted in the gradual increase of botanical composition and relative yield of white clover according to the cutting order. With the consideration of these results, double superphosphate could be favorable for pasture establishment and fused phosphate could be favorable for pasture management fertilizers.
