Measuring Destination Image Components and Segmenting the Market of Forest Region Festival : The Case of Acasia-Honey Festival in Chilgok (산촌지역축제(山村地域祝祭)의 관광지(觀光地) 이미지 구성요인(構成要因) 측정(測定)과 시장분할(市場分割): 칠곡군(漆谷郡) 아카시아벌꿀축제(祝祭)를 대상(對象)으로)

  • This study was analyzed the destination image and tests of image value of forest region festival by segmenting the market. A field survey was conducted during the Acasia-Honey Festival days in Chilgok, the famous acasia-honey products place, from May 12-15, 2001. In this study, 20 image items on five-point Likert scale were examined through factor analysis using a sample of 394 visitors. Four factors were identified as follows : environment, behavior-facilities, festival programs, and products. The author observed if there were statistically significant differences of destination images between the first-time and the repeat visitors, between residents and non-residents, and between purchasers and non-purchasers of acasia-honey products. The results indicated that repeat visitors and residents group had a more positive image of behavior factor such as hospitality and information for festival. And, the author found that purchasers of acasia-honey products had more positive image of product as well as environment factor such as special atmosphere, nostalgia, natural attractions, local culture, and novelty. For these results, it is possible to conclude that local government must effectively provide the festival visitors with well-defined information such as festival contents and schedule, also, develop the programs involved unique attributes of forest region festival to improve festival image.

  • This thesis was developed so that users can access tourism services more easily by utilizing Unity based on the metaverse. The core function and environment of the program were created using Unity, a game production tool, to create a virtual space. In the virtual space, it is implemented so that the tourist service can be used from various angles and positions through NPCs to which control and camera viewpoints are applied. This project is a content that allows you to visit tourist attractions in a virtual world without going to the site by using virtual reality technology. The background and goal of the project is to make it into a game form using a UI frame and fuse it into a simple game form to add fun elements to enable virtual reality tourist experience applying game for tourist attraction publicity.

  • With increase of people's leisure time for marine facilities it is expected to increase the demand for marine tourism. It is necessary for lighthouse to meet the demand for marine tourism. Now, the lighthouse is not only functioning as a traditional aids to navigation for vessel, but also it becomes the new facility and space for all civilians who might visit and experience the marine culture. This research suggests how to use the facilities of the lighthouse as marine tourism resources by reviewing the cases of domestic lighthouses.

The Analysis of Changes in East Coast Tourism using Topic Modeling (토핑 모델링을 활용한 동해안 관광의 변화 분석)

  • The amount of data is increasing through various IT devices in a hyper-connected society where the 4th revolution is progressing, and new value can be created by analyzing that data. This paper was collected total 1,526 articles from 2017 to 2019 in central magazines, economic magazines, regional associations, and major broadcasting companies with the keyword "(East Coast Tourism or East Coast Travel) and Gangwon-do" through Bigkinds. It was performed the topic modeling using LDA algorithm implemented in the R language to analyze the collected 1,526 articles. It was extracted keywords for each year from 2017 to 2019, and classified and compared keywords with high frequency for each year. It was setted the optimal number of topics to 8 using Log Likelihood and Perplexity, and then inferred 8 topics using the Gibbs Sampling method. The inferred topics were Gangneung and Beach, Goseong and Mt.Geumgang, KTX and Donghae-Bukbu line, weekend sea tour, Sokcho and Unification Observatory, Yangyang and Surfing, experience tour, and transportation network infra. The changes of articles on East coast tourism was was analyzed using the proportion of the inferred eight topics. As the result, the proportion of Unification Observatory and Mt. Geumgang showed no significant change, the proportion of KTX and experience tour increased, and the proportion of other topics decreased in 2018 compared to 2017. In 2019, the proportion of KTX and experience tour decreased, but the proportion of other topics showed no significant change.

A Study on Development of Experimental Contents Using 3-channel Multi-Image Playback Technique: Based on transparent OLED and dual layer display system (3채널 멀티 영상 재생 기법과 증강현실을 이용한 체험 콘텐츠 제작에 관한 연구: 투명 OLED 및 듀얼 레이어 디스플레이 시스템 기반)

  • Among the methods of developing tourist spots and culture as the experience contents, it is a common method to display high-quality video images on a large display, and it is necessary to make a special difference between the participant's active participation and the visual experience in other regions. In this paper, using the single molecular OLED and active type, the regional tourist spots blend transparent OLED dual-layer display systems with the extended image implementation and augmented interaction techniques to give the participants a real-world experience, such as directing to new experiences and beautiful sights. In this paper, additional images and UI layers are applied to the layers of the images to allow visitors to experience sightseeing information, weather, maps, accommodations, festivals and photo materials with image. In addition to the dual-layer system, it also added a multi-display system that additionally has one vertical 55-inch display on each side, adding to the experience the immersive experience and interface interlocking fun. By using transparent OLED, dual layer panel and 3-channel Multi-image playback technique, the augmented type experience contents which can experience the local attractions in Jeollanamdo province in Korea at all time without any limitation of time and space were developed.

The Direction for Complex Natural Park Development According to Demand Analysis of Tourists (관광객 요구분석에 따른 복합자연공원 개발방향 연구)

  • This study was conducted to suggest new development model for national & public parks by applying fascinating theme to the existing standardized development of those park. For this purpose, YeonIn Mountain Provincial Park was chosen as object of this research, which is located in GaPyeong, Kyonggi Province. The results from analysis of demand for tourism trend and development were as follows. Most of visitors(87%) come from the metropolitan area and their age are between the ages of 20 and 30. And the visitors' preference for accommodation is the independent villa style. For commercial facility, the strong expansion for food and beverage facilities and stores was needed. The future facilities and activities which they want to experience and e are health-recreation facility and ecological experience based on nature. From these results, It might conclude that we have to develop the qualified nature park with various theme focused on experience and recreation, and that we do preserve the environment.

3D Modeling of Islands using Structured Procedural Method (구조화된 절차적 방법을 이용한 섬 3차원 모델링)

  • With the development of information and communication technology, the demand for indirect experience contents using realistic media is increasing. It is important to keep the overall concept of the models consistently in order to immerse in the contents while watching realistic media. In the case of realistic media that provides an indirect experience of tourist attractions, modeling should be done by reflecting the actual information of the sites in order to provide an accurate experience. In this paper, we propose a three-dimensional modeling method of islands, representative tourism resources of the southern coast, by reflecting actual data. Since the proposed method is performed according to a structured procedure, it makes it easy to maintain the visual consistency of the entire model when several people work together. Implementation results show that the proposed method produces more realistic results than the modeling method using height information simply.

Barrier-Free Subway Service System Scenario : Comparison Between Korea and China (한국과 중국의 비교를 통한 무장애 지하철 서비스시스템 시나리오 제안)

  • In the global era, the tourism industry is a major profitable business, and the state and local governments are making various efforts to provide quality tourism experiences. The purpose of this study in a variety of tourism contents is to study barrier-free subway services in line with the global era, and to expand from the existing rapid, safe, and ordered transportation to the provision of high-quality comfort and all-round service experiences. This study compared and analyzed the subway service systems of Korea, China and both countries through the service design method, and presented a barrier-free subway service system to improve the user's satisfaction with the subway service system by improving the user's service experience. As a result, research results showed that 20 attractive quality attributes in 17 fields, such as convenience facilities, language issues, security equipment, and riding environment, play an important role in improving the quality and experience of subway services. In addition, through the construction of a Service Spatial Scenario, an optimized subway service system can be visualized to help understand this so that it can be used as a reference for creating a strategic application.

  • The purpose of this study is to inquire into the effect of tourism storytelling choice attributes on tourist satisfaction and loyalty in Gangwon province. The random sampling was carried out on 200 tourists who experience tourist storytelling in Gangwon-do. First, the effect of tourism storytelling choice attributes on tourist satisfaction showed that the authenticity, attractiveness, educability, playfulness, undertstandability and sensitivity have a statistically significant positive effect on the tourist satisfaction, and the tourist satisfaction through tourism storytelling has a statistically significant positive effect on the tourist loyalty. Consequently, if the educational effect is provided to raise tourists' interest or sensitivity, and facilitate the understanding through tourism storytelling, the increase of tourists' satisfaction will be connected to positive word-of-mouth and recommendation in surroundings, contributing to tourism activation.

  • This paper proposed CHELS-App that Smart-phone APP optimized cultural heritage experiential learning is configured can learning and sightseeing at the same time with experience the cultural heritage and enjoying the mission through quests to take advantage of the Smart-phone. CHELS-App is provide a guide maps by using the location-based service and cultural commentary(commentary, photos, quizzes, games, cartoon) with capability of event push about the Jongmyo Shrine as world heritage, and configured with capability of experience diary create and foot stamp through these experiences.
