아동과 청소년의 식이자기효능감, 사회적 지지, 우울 및 체중조절행위 간의 관계 (Relationships among Dietary Self-Efficacy, Social Support, Depression, and Weight-control Behavior of Children and Adolescents)

  • This study examines the relationships between dietary self-efficacy, social support, depression, and weight-control behavior of children and adolescents. A total of 593 students (280 children and 313 adolescents) from schools in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Jeollabuk-do, and Daegu were surveyed using scales for dietary self-efficacy, social support, depression, and weight-control behavior. The data were analyzed through a frequency analysis, means and standard deviations, a t-test, a one-way ANOVA, the Tukey test, the Pearson's correlation, and a stepwise multiple regression analysis. According to the results, weight-control behavior was more likely in girls than boys, high-school students than elementary-school students, and obese/overweight students than normal/underweight students. The factors influencing children's weight-control behavior were general eating habits, the BMI, depression, food choice, and family support, in that order, and those influencing adolescents' weight-control behavior were general eating habits, gender, and the BMI, in that order. These results are expected to be useful as basic data for developing weight-control programs for children and adolescents.

문화기술지를 이용한 체중조절 성공 남자 대학생의 건강행위 양상 (Ethnographic Analysis on Health-related Behavioral Patterns of Male College Students in a Weight-control Program)

  • Purpose: We performed an ethnographic analysis on health-related behavioral patterns of male college students enrolled in a weight-control program. Methods: The participants in this study were 12 obese male college students and one member of the health program staff. Data, collected through interviews and participatory observations during fieldwork, were analyzed using text analysis and taxonomic methods. Results: Patterns of health behavior were categorized into one of two types: the type with a willingness and motivation toward improving health (including a positive management of diseases and lifestyle) or the type concerned with social development and competence (including the application of strategic relationships and a self-conscious inclination toward appearance). Conclusion: The concepts of body and health in sociocultural contexts lead to weight-control practices. These results strongly indicate that providers of dieting programs for young adults need to understand the physical and psychological concerns of their students. Moreover, another implication from our results is that health-related interventions should be designed according to specific aspects of its participants.

청소년의 자살생각, 자살계획, 자살시도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (Factors affecting suicidal ideation, suicidal plan and suicidal attempt in Korean adolescents)

  • 청소년의 자살생각, 자살계획, 자살시도와 관련된 요인을 분석하여, 청소년의 자살예방 프로그램개발에 기초자료로 이용할 목적으로 2012년 청소년건강행태 온라인 조사 원시자료를 이용하여 연구를 실시하였다. 연구결과 자살생각, 자살계획, 자살시도에 영향을 미치는 요인 중 일반적 특성은 성별, 학년, 학업성적, 경제적 상태, 부모 동거 여부, 주관적으로 인지하는 건강상태였다. 건강행태 관련 특성 및 정서적 특성으로 음주, 흡연, 주단위 중증도 운동, 체중 조절 노력, 주관적 수면 충족률, 스트레스, 우울이었다. 특히 음주, 흡연, 스트레스 등 건강위험 행위를 하는 경우 자살행동이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 자살을 예방하기 위해서는 건강위험행위에 대한 예방교육과 프로그램이 필요하며, 우울이 자살행동으로 발전되지 않도록 우울 감소를 위한 적극적인 관심과 예방대책이 필요하다.

학령기 아동의 비만도, 체중조절 건강통제위와 건강증진행위 (Health Locus of Control and Health-promoting Behaviors among Korean Elementary School Children)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare health locus of control with health-promoting behaviors according to elementary school children's degree of obesity, and to analyze correlations between two variables. Methods: Three hundreds and sixty three elementary school children were participated from three elementary schools in Seoul. Multidimensional Health Locus of Control (HLOC) scale and Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile (HPLP) were used. Results: Obese children was 16.8% of all research subjects. Internal HLOC in over weight group was higher than normal weight group (F=3.611, p=.014). Chance HLOC in under weight group was higher than other groups (F=3.553, p=.015). External HLOC in over weight and obesity group was higher than normal weight group (F=3.553, p=.015). Correlations between HLOC in internal and external and health-promoting behaviors were significant (r=.347, p<001; r=.207, p<001). Also, children who did not have siblings and have obese parents showed higher rate of obesity, and lack of sleeping time tend to be related to obesity. Conclusion: External HLOC of obesity children is higher than that of normal weight children. Meanwhile, obese children with higher internal HLOC were good at doing health-promoting behaviors. Therefore, if obese children are trained for internal health control, it can lead to their health-promoting behaviors.

일부 지역 여중생의 체중변이양상과 체중조절행위에 관한 연구 (Weight change pattern and weight control behavior among middle school girls)

  • The aim of this study was to determine the extent to which sociodemographic and health related life-style variables explain body weight distribution and to understand weight contol behavior. To study this study 298 students were selected, it was consisted of obesity group(101) and control group(197). The average age of subjects was 14.2 and the prevalence of obesity was 2-3 per class as 5.6% among 1,793. 71% among same subject was showed higher weight pattern than last one year, ovesity group which was obesity both in 93 and 94 was 34%. Correlation between body weight(under weight/obesity) and independent variables including sociodemographic factor and health- related life style tested through Multiple Classification Analysis was very significant, explained 36% of the total variance. Sociodemografic and hereditary factors such as education level, age of father and physical features of parents, life style factors as exercise preference and perceived health status showed highly contribution to body weight. Concretely, there were showed a higher obesity prevalence tendency when education level and age of father was high, physical features of parents was obesity. In otherwise, there were showed a higher underweight prevalence tendency when education level and age of father was low. Experience rates of weight control was 53% generally, 84% in obesity group, and 11% in underweight group. There were utilized weight control behaviors through diet method mainly in obesity group, diet and exercise methods in underweight group. There were showed that underweight group are prefer exercise to obesity group. Conclusionally, These findings suggest that education, age, physical features of parents, exercise preference and perceived health status is important factors related to body weight among middle school girls. Therefore, there will be considered as valuable factors when we practice health education and consultation related to body weight. Furthermore it is necessary to provide of various informations about weight control and to develop systematic weight control program.

여자 청소년의 신체이미지와 식사태도가 우울감과 자살사고에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Body Image and Eating Attitude on Depressive Mood and Suicide Ideation in Female Adolescents)

  • 연구목적 : 자기신체상은 자아존중감과 체중조절행위와 밀접한 연관이 있고 특히 여자 청소년에서는 중요한 관련이 있다고 알려져있다. 이 연구는 체질량지수로 측정한 신체이미지와 식이장애와 연관된 비정상식이행동이 우울증과 자살사고에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다. 방 법 : 서울 한 지역의 고등학교 여학생 239명을 대상으로 체질량지수를 측정하고, 청소년을 위한 식이태도검사(Eating Attitude Test for Korean Adolescents), 자아존중감척도, 충동성척도, 벡 우울척도, 벡 자살사고 척도를 시행하였다. 결 과 : 연구대상에서 식이장애 위험군은 총 10%(24명)이었다. 대조군에 비해 우울증상을 강하게 경험하고 있었고 현재 체질량지수와 이상적 체질량지수의 차이가 클수록 우울감, 자살사고, 비정상적 식이행동의 정도가 커지고 자아존중감은 낮아졌다. 그중에서 체질량지수의 차이가 통계적으로 가장 의미있는 예측인자였다. 결 론 : 연구대상군이 전체적으로 정상체중 범위임에도 불구하고, 현재의 체형과 이상적 체형사이의 괴리가 클수록 우울과 자살사고가 컸다. 여자 청소년의 식이장애 발생과 우울, 자살사고의 예방을 위해 체중조절, 정상식이습관에 대한 교육적 접근이 필요하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

성인의 건강상태, 건강행위가 당뇨병 유병률에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Health status and Health Behavior on the Diabetes Mellitus Prevalence)

  • 당뇨병은 유병률과 합병증으로 인한 사망률이 지속적으로 증가하는 질병이다. 본 연구는 성인의 당뇨병 유병률 영향요인을 확인함으로써 당뇨병 유병률의 감소를 위한 중재전략 개발의 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도되었다. 연구대상자는 19세 이상 성인으로 2012년 국민건강영양조사 원시자료를 활용하여 분석하였으며, 5995명의 자료가 분석에 사용되었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램의 복합표본 분석 모듈을 사용하여 가중치를 부여한 후 분석하였다. 연구결과 19세 이상 성인의 당뇨병 유병률은 10.5%였고, 당뇨병 유병 오즈비는 학력에서 대졸 이상에 비해 중졸은 2.51배, 주관적 건강상태가 매우 좋은 경우에 비해 매우 나쁜 경우 4.77배, 비만인 경우 1.44배, 고혈압을 진단받은 경우 2.57배, 고지혈증을 진단받은 경우 2.63배, 체중조절을 하지 않는 경우 1.31배, 식이요법을 하는 경우 2.75배로 높았다. 본 연구는 당뇨병 유병률을 예측하는 변수로 교육수준, 주관적 건강상태, 비만 유병 여부, 고혈압 의사진단 여부, 고지혈증 의사진단 여부, 체중조절 여부, 식이요법 여부를 밝힘으로써 당뇨병 유병률을 감소시키기 위한 간호중재와 연구방향을 제시하였다.

연령층별 사회경제적 계층에 따른 건강행위 실천과 주관적 건강수준에 미치는 영향 (Influences on Health Behaviors Execution and Self Rated Health as Socioeconomic Class by the Age Bracket)

  • 본 연구는 연령층별 사회경제적 계층, 건강행위, 주관적 건강수준 간의 직 간접 경로를 규명하고 그 영향력을 파악하고자 하였다. 제4기 2차년도(2008) 국민건강영양조사에 참여한 성인 중, 교육, 소득, 직업의 3가지 변수로 사회경제적 계층 구분이 가능한 만 25세 이상 4,987명을 연구대상으로 하여 사회경제적 계층을 교육과 소득은 4단계, 직업은 7단계로 분류하고, 건강행위의 실천이 주관적 건강수준에 미치는 영향은 경로분석을 수행하였다. 복합표본분석으로 chi-square test, t-test, one-way ANOVA를 실시하였다. 그 결과 주관적 건강수준은 사회경제적 계층이 낮을수록 낮았으며 청장년층일수록 더 많은 건강행위가 사회경제적 계층에 따라 차이를 보였다. 낮은 사회경제적 계층일수록 주관적 건강수준이 낮아지는데, 청장년층 여자는 금연과 체중조절, 노년층 남자는 운동이 매개변수로써 간접영향을 주었다. 이를 통해 건강증진사업 기획 시 연령층, 성별, 사회경제적 계층을 고려한 정확한 표적집단 선정과 각 표적집단에 적합한 내용 구성이 필요하리라 본다.

다이어트 진행 중인 동료와 비교한 다이어트 경험 및 계획을 가진 여중생의 식습관, 체중조절행위, 심리적 섭식장애 위험 및 우울증상 (A Comparison of Dietary Habits, Weight Control Behaviors, Eating Disorder Risk, and Depression of Middle School Girls according to Various Stages of Dieting)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to compare dietary habits, weight control behaviors, eating disorder risk and depression among middle school girls who were at various stages of dieting. Methods: Subjects were 391 girls attending a middle school in Kyeonggido, Korea. All the information was gathered by self-administered questionnaires. Eating disorder risk and depression were assessed using EAT-26 and PHQ-9, respectively. Data were compared among 4 groups; no interest in a diet (N=112), had experienced dieting (N=86), on diet currently (N=71), and plan to diet (N=122). Results: A higher number of students currently on diet tended to be unsatisfied with their own weight (p < 0.01), overestimated their weight (p < 0.05), and weighed own body frequently (p < 0.001), compared to those with only experienced dieting in the past or those who plan to diet, despite similar weights and body mass index. The students who experienced dieting in the past or those who plan to diet appeared to have several undesirable as well as desirable dietary habits and their risk of eating disorder was significantly more prevalent compared to those without an interest in dieting (p < 0.01), although significantly less prevalent compared to those currently on a diet. Conclusions: We conclude that unnecessary dieting is common among middle school girls and providing proper education with regard to healthy weights is needed to enhance their physical as well as psychological wellbeing.

여성 소비자의 식생활 라이프스타일에 따른 체중 조절 행위에 관한 연구 (A Study on Weight Control Behavior by Female Consumers Eating Life Styles)

  • The study investigated the eating lifestyles of female consumers and whether they influenced weight control behavior. The findings of the study can be summarized as follows. First, the eating lifestyles of the subjects were presented four types: 'active eating life pursuit type', 'safe economical type', 'gourmet type' and 'passive negligence type'. In general, most cases were of the 'passive negligence type'. Second, weight control behavior was analyzed according to eating lifestyle. The results of the analysis indicated that the female consumers of the 'active eating life pursuit type' and 'safe economy type' had high behavior levels in each aspect of weight control attitude, subjective regulation, perceived behavior control, and behavior intention. Third, the 'gourmet type', with a strong preference for taste, and the 'passive negligence type', with fewer eating considerations in general, showed weaker attitudes towards weight control and the recognition of pressure from people around them. As such, the level of consideration for food or eating was correlated with weight control. These findings impliedy that the more active, safer, and economical women are in their general eating style, the stronger they perceive weight control issues.
