Performance Evaluation of Non-Coherent Detection Based Cyclic Code-Shift Keying (비동기 검파 기반 순환 부호 편이 변조 방식의 성능 분석)

  • Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (JTIDS) uses cyclic code shift keying (CCSK) for baseband symbol modulation, in which 5-bit information is mapped to one of thirty two 32-chip sequences. It is a kind of direct sequence based spread spectrum communication. In this paper, the performance of non-coherent detection of CCSK using non-orthogonal 32-chip sequence is evaluated. And a 32-chip sequence with better performance is also proposed and compared with the conventional one.

  • TMN Agent Platform은 망 요소의 운영상태와 자원들을 GDMO에 따라 관리객체(Managed Object : MO)로 모델링 하고, 자원들의 현재 상태를 유지하며, 관리자(Manager)로부터의 망 관리 기능 요구에 따라 조작된다. 그러므로, 에이전트의 성능향상은 전체적인 통신망 관리의 성능향상에 직접적인 영향을 미친다.본 논문에서는 TMN 에이전트의 기능요구 사항을 분석하고, 이를 토대로 성능향상을 위해 멀티스레드 기법을 사용하는 병렬 처리 구조의 TMN Agent Platform의 기능구조를 제시한다. 또한 에이전트와 다양한 자원들간의 효율적인 메시지전달을 위한 체계를 제시하며, 구현된 TMN Agent Platform의 성능을 분석한다.Abstract TMN Agent manages the operational status and real-resources of network elements, such as switching nodes and transmission systems. It performs the requested management functions from manager and maintains consistent status data of real-resource. The performance of agent system affects directly the performance of network management operation. If the agent is implemented by sequential processing scheme with single process, the agent processing can be delayed or blocked according to the status of real-resources. This problem can be solved by parallel and distributed processing scheme.To improve the processing performance of TMN Agent, we propose a TMN Agent Platform's functional architecture that is based on parallel processing with multi-tread and effective message transferring scheme between agent and various real-resource. We analyze the performance of the implemented TMN Agent Platform.

Error Model Analysis and Performance Evaluation for the Rapid Alignment Technique of Projectile Navigation System in Inclined Launch Systems (경사 고각 발사 시스템에서의 발사체 항법장치 급속 초기정렬기법에 대한 오차모델 분석 및 성능평가)

  • In this paper, we described the rapid initial alignment techniques of projectile navigation system for use in inclined launch systems. One-shot alignment technique, one of the rapid initial alignment techniques, is possible to align a navigation system within seconds because it uses external information from an launcher navigation system. However, since it has only been used in vertical launch systems, its performance in inclined launch systems has not been verified. Therefore, this paper analyzed the error elements that occur when the one-shot alignment technique is applied to the inclined launch system, and introduced a method to improve the alignment performance by minimizing those errors. Additionally, By simulating and testing the performance of the proposed alignment technique, it was verified that it is effective even in an environment where a real navigation system is used.

  • 전 세계적으로 기후변화에 따른 예측하기 어려운 국지성호우의 발생빈도가 증가하고 있으며, 수반되는 돌발홍수를 사전에 대비하기 위해 하천운영의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 일반적인 하천 시설물 점검 및 보수 계획 수립 시, 시설물의 중요도나 하천의 현황 보다는 행정적인 편의성을 고려하여 구간에 따른 육안 점검 등을 통해 일률적으로 수행되고 있다. 그러나 현재 우리나라의 하천 시설물 중 약 40% 이상이 준공연수가 30년을 초과한 것으로 파악되고 있으며, 노후화된 하천 시설물의 정확한 상태평가에 따른 보수보강 계획수립이 필요한 실정이다. 이를 위해서는 하천 시설물 관리에 있어 다양한 문제점과 관련된 자료를 수집하여 DB화하고, 모델링 및 정밀검사 등을 통해 다양한 각도에서 분석되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 시설물통합정보관리시스템(Facilty Management System; FMS)에서 제공하는 하천 시설물 관리대장 중 테스트베드에 위치한 수문의 개별부재에 대한 상태 평가지수를 활용하여 시설물의 생애주기를 통합적으로 고려할 수 있는 성능평가모델을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서 제안된 성능평가모델은 하천 시설물의 합리적인 관리체계를 통해 분석된 결과로부터 시설관리자가 하천 관리 및 계획수립에 있어 의사결정을 할 수 있도록 정보를 제공하는 지원 도구로 활용 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

  • This study firstly developed a tool for evaluating performance requirements of automatic vehicle identification (AVI) techniques. A microscopic traffic simulator, Paramics, was employed to investigate the effects of AVI performances on the accuracy of estimating section travel times. Mote Carlo simulation approach was incorporated into Paramics to conduct systematic evaluations of identifying required AVI performances. The proposed method in this study can serve as a logical and necessary precursor to field implementation of a variety of AVI techniques toward achieving more reliable traffic information.

  • This paper describes virtual environment and sensor modeling to analyze and verify the performance of autonomous navigation system. Virtual synthetic environment is constructed with 6 subgroups which cover from virtual environment construction to virtual sensor modeling of real systems. This research is applied to validate and assess performance of concerned algorithms and complex functions for autonomous navigation system based on virtual environment.

  • Service life of bridges should be evaluated by physical life considering damage/deterioration. But it is difficult to identify optimal maintenance scenario due to insufficient research related to that. To identify optimal maintenance scenario, it is needed to develope life cycle profile model of condition state variation by deterioration factor. The LCP model has been developed in consideration of regression analysis and survey in this study. It is expected that the LCP model could help to achieve HBMS system improvement.

  • CDMA 방식의 디지털 이동통신 망은 기존의 2G 방식에서 IX, IxEV-DO을 거쳐 WCDMA로 비약적으로 발전하고 있으며, 이에 따라 무선망 운용 및 최적화 방법도 진화해가고 있다. 운용자들이 Field Tool을 사용하여 직접 Field 데이터를 측정, 분석하고 조치하는 방식이 가장 기본적인 방법이라면, Field 데이터와 Network 데이터를 함께 수집하여 분석하는, 보다. 발전된 방법도 사용되고 있다. 그러나, 이러한 방법도 여러 Tool에서 데이터를 off-line으로 수집한 후 분석 작업을 수동으로 반복 수행해야하는 번거로움이 있어, 실시간 on-line 무선망 최적화 시스템을 통한 체계적이고 과학적인 운용 방법을 생각해 볼 수 있다. 우선, 타 운용 Tool 들과의 on-line 연동으로 중앙 집중적 데이터베이스를 구축하여, 무선망에 관련된 모든 데이터에 대한 통합적인 관리가 필요하다. 이 데이터베이스를 이용하여, 실시간으로 무선망 성능 및 효율 저하 원인 분석을 실시하며, 분석된 결과는 기지국의 상태 및 문제점 도출에서부터 최종 처방까지 제시해준다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 솔루션을 구축하기 위한 다양한 네트웍 데이터 연동(성능, 장애, 구성, RF, 실측 데이터 등), 주요 KPI (Key Performance Indicator) 모니터링, 통계적 분석, 무선망 분석 등에 대해 고찰해본다.

  • Many research activities to reduce accidents on the road and to improve traffic efficiency have been performed and almost research projects are developing technologies and services based on C-ITS technology nowadays. The main concept of C-ITS is improving road safety and traffic efficiency by sharing and reproducing information between various elements. To accomplish this goal, V2X communication technology has been adopted. In Korea, we have studied V2X communication technology in support of SMART-Highway research project and are managing test-bed to verify the developed technology recently. In this paper, we introduce SMART-Highway test-bed and show the procedure and result of V2X communication performance analysis on the test-bed.

Performance Analysis of Position Based Routing Protocol for UAV Networks (UAV 네트워크 환경에 적합한 위치기반 라우팅 프로토콜의 성능 분석)

  • Many systems are developing for the realization of NCW(Network Centric Warfare). UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) Network is attracting attention in a lot of military applications. In general, UAVs have the potential to create an ad-hoc network and greatly reduce the hops from source to destination. However, UAV networks exhibit unique properties such as high mobility, high data rate, and real time service. The routing protocols are required to design the multi-hop routing protocols that can dynamically adapt to the requirements of UAV network. In this paper we analyse Geographic Routing Protocol is based on geographical distance between source and destination for efficient and reliable transmission. Geographic Routing Protocol is evaluated in video service scenarios with TDMA model in our simulation. The simulation results show that the performance of Geographic Routing Protocol is better than the MANET Routing Protocol in terms of packet received ratio, end to end delay, and routing traffic sent.
