Evaluation on Structural Stability of Railway Level Crossing System using Rubber Panel by High Speed Train Gust (고무보판 패널 철도건널목 시스템의 고속열차 풍하중에 대한 구조 안정성 분석)

  • In this study, the structural stability of the railway level crossing system using rubber panel for high speed lines was investigated by applying the specification for wind load conditions (Train gust) of high speed train (300km/h and 360km/h). A finite element analysis using three-dimensional modeling was carried out by applying the field conditions that was installed with the complicated configuration of the rubber plate panel system. As a result of this study, the structural stability of the rubber plate panel system for high speed train gust was analytically verified.

A Study on Normal Project Duration for Water Resource Project (수자원시설 건설공사 표준공기 산정을 위한 기초연구)

  • It is important to have enough design and construction duration for infrastructure projects. However, recent water resource project in Korea shows several problems caused by their fast-tract schedule. National Audit Committee report several water resource projects have quality problems caused by insufficient project duration. Especially, water resource projects such as dam and water pipeline construction should have proper time to secure their structure quality. Normal project duration for these projects should be estimated based on previous similar projects' historical data analysis. However there is no standard model which can estimate normal project duration for water resource projects in Korea. There are several normal project duration estimation models for building project developed by public(LH) and private construction companies. However, there is no proper model for water resource projects. So, this study developed normal project duration model for dam and water pipeline projects using historical data and show application of models.

  • 설계 준공도서는 건설공사를 시공하거나 유지 관리에서 필요한 정보를 담고 있는 자료이다. 과거에는 전자설계 준공도서가 단순 보관용으로 사용되어 활용도가 낮았다. 본 연구는 전자설계 준공도서의 활용도를 제고하고 전자설계 준공도서의 적합성 검사, 시스템 등록 서비스 등의 업무처리 시간을 단축시키실 수 있는 전자설계 준공도서 서비스시스템을 개발하였다. 연구결과를 응용하면 항공, 철도 등 다른 건설분야의 전자설계 준공도서 서비스 시스템 개발로 확대할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

A Study on Improvement of Maintenance System for Timber Sleepers of Ballast-less track on Railway Bridge (무도상 강철도 교량상 목침목 유지관리체계 개선방안에 관한 연구)

  • In case of damaged timber sleepers, maintenance is carried out according to the track inspection standard. However, it is difficult to detect the extent of damage on the bridge, and maintenance is depended on inspector's judgment. In this study, we propose to improve the evaluation criterion of timber sleepers for the ballast-less tracks on serviced urban railway bridge. The timber sleepers on railway bridge was classified according to degree of damage, and damage scores were calculated for each damage grade. Also we have improved the maintenance system of the timber sleepers through the history management system of the individual timber sleepers on railway bridge. As a results, it was judged that systematic management of timber sleepers could be possible during maintenance.

  • The shield TBM method can eliminate environmental hazards such as noise and vibration, and is environmentally friendly and allows safe tunnel construction even in soft ground conditions, but there are many restrictions on its application due to its high construction costs compared to the NATM. Therefore, in order to increase the applicability of the shield TBM method, it is necessary to ensure economic efficiency by reducing construction costs, and it is very important to reduce segment construction costs, which account for the largest proportion of shield TBM tunnel construction costs at about 35 to 40%. As part of this, this paper considers the changes in segment stress during tunnel construction and operation, tunnel external load conditions, etc. through analysis of long-term measurement data of shield TBMs in Japan, which has abundant experience in shield TBM construction, and compares and analyzes the differences between predicted values at the design stage and measured values during operation. Through this, we study improvements to ensure segment economic efficiency at the shield TBM design stage.

An Experimental Study on Causes Evaluation of Rail Corrugation for Concrete track(STEDEF) in Urban Transit (도시철도 콘크리트궤도(STEDEF)의 레일파상마모 발생원인 분석을 위한 실험적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the cause of rail corrugation and the track force for concrete track (STEDEF) in the urban transit. From the field measurements, the dynamic wheel load, vertical displacement of sleeper and rail bending stress were measured and it was evaluated by regarding to the rail corrugation. As a result of the study, the causes of rail corrugation was experimentally proved by frequency analysis using measured dynamic wheel load data. The influence of corrugation on dynamic wheel load, rail bending stress and sleeper displacement was evaluated that the periodic irregularities of rail corrugation on the rail surface amplified the dynamic track force such as the dynamic wheel load, and thus the rail bending stress and the vertical displacement of sleeper could be increased by a maximum of 1.7 times.
