Study on the Fabrication of EPROM and Their Characteristics (EPROM의 제작 및 그 특성에 관한 연구)

  • EAROM device is an n-channel MOS transistor with a control gate stack ed on the floating gate. On account of channel injection type, channel lengths are designed 4-8 $\mu$m and chinnel widths 5-14 $\mu$m. These devices which have fourstructures of different type control gate are designed by NMOS 5 $\mu$m design rule and fabricated by double polysilicon gate NMOS Process. Double ion implantation is applied to increase punchthrough voltage and gate-controlled channel breakdown voltage. The drain and gate voltage for programming was 13-17V and 20-25V, respectively. EPROM cell fabricated could be erased not by optical method but by electrical method. The result of charge retention test showed decrease in stored charges by 4% after 200 hours at 1$25^{\circ}C$.

  • We proposed a highly integrated 3-dimensional NOR Flash memory array by using vertical 4-bit SONOS NOR flash memory. This structure has a vertical channel, so it is possible to have a long enough channel without extra cell area. Therefore, we can avoid second-bit effect, short channel effect, and redistribution of injected charges. And the proposed array structure is based on three-dimensional integration. Thus, we can obtain a NOR flash memory having $1.5F^2$/bit cell size.

Comparison of temperature Derived from the Microwave Sounding Unit and Radiosonde Observation Data in Korea (한반도 지역의 마이크로파 위성자료와 고층관측자료의 비교)

  • We compared the satellite observed temperature with the radiosonde observed temperature in the Korean Peninsula. The radiosonde observed data were obtained from four upper air observation stations in the Korean Peninsula from 1981 to 1998, and were compared with the satellite observed data of the channel-2 and channel-4 of microwave sounding unit(MSU) on board NOAA series of polar-orbiting satellites. The radiosonde data were reconstructed from radiosonde T$_b$ using MSU weighting function. The monthly climatology shows radiosonde T$_{b2}$ is higher than MSU T$_{b2}$ in summer. The correlation between MSU T$_{b2}$ and radiosonde T$_{b2}$ is 0.72-0.76 and 0.73-0.81 between MSU T$_{b4}$ and radiosonde T$_{b4}$. The T$_{b2}$ show a positive trend and the T$_{b4}$ has a negative trend during the 18 years.

  • In this paper, we propose a pilot based time-averaging channel estimation method and analyze error performances for efficient transmission of OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) in multipath fading environment. Frequency domain channel estimations have been used in OFDM systems to compensate signal distortions due to fading on each subcarrier. The frequency domain estimation scheme uses scattered pilot to estimate channel response by simple interpolation. This implies that the estimated channel response includes signal distortions due to the noise. In this paper, we propose time-averaged channel estimation method to remove the distortion by noise. The proposed scheme can effectively remove noise components by taking time-average of the estimated channel response after estimating frequency domain channel. The computer simulations were performed to evaluate the performance of the proposed channel estimator. For the Rician channel, we compared the performance of the proposed method to that of a conventional one using channel estimation by gaussian interpolation when SER(Symbol Error Rate) = $10^{-4}$, and compared to perfect channel estimation case. The proposed method showed differences of 0.07 dB, 0.6 dB compared to perfect channel estimation and improvements of 1.7 dB, 1.9 dB for 16 QAM, 64 QAM respectively compared to conventional method.

  • For the efficient establishment of a channel strategy for banks, this study aims to propose a channel model by classifying channels into types, and carrying out a correspondence analysis per type. A survey of bankers was conducted to visualize categorical data and create a positioning map. As a result, first, 12 banking channels were classified into 4 types based on business processing subjects and places, which were then, further grouped into the categories of full-banking and self-banking. Second, a correspondence analysis according to the classified types was carried out, and it was found that the branch-type is suitable for product description and customer management, while the banking-type is suitable for efficient business processing without time and space constraints. Furthermore, the analysis also showed that the machine-type and banking-type are inappropriate for customer management, and the mobility-type demonstrates low operational effectiveness due to a lack of awareness. The aforementioned findings suggest the need for a hybrid convergence channel that reflects the characteristics of banking tasks and fills in the gaps between the different channels. Third, a channel model was derived by adding a common area to the 2×2 model consisting of the business processing subjects and places. Therefore, this study is meaningful in that it examines the diversification of channels and factors in the division of roles by channel type based on customers' banking channel selection factors, and presents basic research findings for future channel strategy establishment and efficient channel operation.

A Channel Estimation for COFDM Systems in Time-Varying Multipath Fading Channels (시변 다중경로 페이딩 채널에서 COFDM 시스템의 채널 추정)

  • In this paper, a Gaussian interpolation filter and cubic interpolation filter are presented to do more accurate channel estimation compared to the conventional linear interpolation filter for COFDM systems. In addition to an interpolation filter, a low pass filter using FFT and IFFT is also presented to reduce the noisy components of a channel estimate obtained by an interpolation filter. Channel estimates after low-pass filtering combined with interpolation filters can lower the error floor compared to the use of only interpolation filters. Computer simulation demonstrates that the presented channel estimation methods exhibit an improved performance compared to the conventional linear interpolation filter for COFDM systems in time-varying multipath fading channel and0.1 ~ 0.2 dB of Eb/No difference at BER=10-4 when the perfect channel estimation is compared.

An Efficient Channel Search Method for Transmitting Massive Multimedia Data (대용량 멀티미디어 데이터 전송을 위한 효율적인 채널 검색 방법)

  • It is important to select the most appropriate channel for efficient transmission of massive multimedia data between smart devices in wireless sensor network. In the fixed channel method, sensor nodes can restrict usefulness of frequency and may be a major constraint to support frequency at various environments. In this paper, we propose a modified efficient channel search algorithm that determines available channel and tolerance of interference of links between two nodes. From the results of computer simulation, the proposed method shows that the link of channel can be set efficiently than the other methods even if the number of interference links increases and the beacon packet waiting time caused by interference is reduced remarkably.

Real-time Implementation of a 4 channel G.729A Using a TMS320C549 (TMS320C549를 이용한 4채널 G.729A의 실시간 구현)

  • 본 논문에서는 TMS320C549 를 사용하여 4 채널 G.729A 음성 부호화기를 실시간 구현하였으며, 실제로 음성 사서함 서비스 시스템에 응용하였다. 구현된 G.729A 는 패널 당 부호화기와 복호화기에 각각 14.5MIPS 와 3.6 MIPS 를 소요하였으며, 메모리는 코드와 데이터 부분에 각각 9.88K 워드, 1.69 K 워드를 필요로 하였다. 결과적으로 개발된 VMS 시스템에는 두 개의 DSP 를 사용하여 DSP 당 4 채널씩 총 8 채널을 수용하였다. 실험 결과, ITU-T에서 제공된 모든 테스트 벡터 결과와 비트 단위로 동일하였다.

  • 본 연구는 두 개의 경사진 다공 배플이 설치된 사각채널에서 국부 열전달향상 특성을 조사하였다. 채널은 19.8cm(W)$\times$4cm(H)의 단면적을 가지며 형상계수는 4.95이며 수력직경은 6.66cm이다. 4종류의 배플을 취급하였다. 가열 시험부에 동일한 크기, 경사각, 구멍형태의 경사 배플을 설치하였다. 경사 배플은 모두 19.8 cm의 폭, $2.55cm\times2.55cm$의 정 다이아몬드 형 구멍, 그리고 So의 경사각을 갖는다. 레이놀즈 수 범위는 23,000에서 57,000까지이다. 배플의 구멍의 수가 열전달 향상에 중요한 역할을 하였으며 구멍이 3개 인(baffle type II)가 가장 우수한 열전달 향상을 보였다.
