단일채널 저궤도위성 관제안테나시스템의 채널 이중화를 통한 효율성개선

  • 저궤도위성 관제용 소형안테나시스템의 송수신채널은 저궤도위성의 특성상 안테나구동부의 물리적인 제약조건을 갖으며 이러한 제약조건은 Rotary Joint 포트 수에 의존한다. 다목적 실용위성 5호와 같이 RH 및 LH 편파를 동시 사용하는 위성의 경우 지상안테나의 RF채널은 물리적으로 4포트가 필요하게 된다. 이러한 물리적 채널을 구현하기위해서는 안테나구동부가 대형화될 뿐만 아니라 고비용의 소요된다. 이와 같이 대형화 및 고비용의 단점을 극복하기위하여 Channel Combine Filter를 적용하여 채널이중화를 구현하였으며 단일채널을 갖는 저궤도위성 지상안테나시스템을 RH 및 LH 편파를 동시수신 가능하도록 성능을 개선하였다. 금번 개발된 Channel Combiner는 하나의 물리적 채널을 이용하여 위성으로부터 수신되는 수신신호 및 지상에서 송신하는 송신신호를 동시에 전송하도록 설계한 것으로서 수신되는 신호대비 송신신호의 크기가 상대적으로 고출력이기 때문에 송수신신호간의 간섭영향을 최소화할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 채널이중화를 위하여 개발된 Channel Combiner의 설계방법 및 성능 시험결과에 대하여 상세하게 기술하였으며, 최종적으로 RH 및 LH 편파를 동시에 사용하는 저궤도 위성을 이용한 수신결과에 대하여 기술하였다.

Transmission of Channel Information Using Voice Packet in the Vocoder (음성압축기의 음성패킷을 이용한 채널에러 정보 전달)

  • 본 논문은 이동통신상에서 송신측의 송신 채널 에러정보를 수신측에서 송신측으로 전달하는 음성패킷을 이용하여 송신측에 알려주어 압축과정에 이용하게 할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. ACELP(Algebraic CELP)구조 방식을 가지고 있는 음성압축기들 중 G.729을 사용하며 음성 패킷정보 중 Pitch Delay와 Fixed Codebook를 이용하여 전송음성 패킷안에 상대방의 송신 채널정보를 싣는다. 수신측에서 받은 패킷이 Erasure로 판단되었을 때 패킷정보들 중 Fixed Codebook Index를 만들게 되는 4개의 Optimal 펄스 중 2개의 펄스만 사용하며 나머지 2개의 펄스는 약속된 임의의 위치에 위치시킨 후 송신측에 전송시킨다. 상대방에서 약속에 맞는 위치의 펄스를 보내왔을 때를 체크함으로써 자신의 송신채널 상태를 알 수 있게 된다 송신채널에$5\%$ Erasure 채널 에러가 발생했을 때 채널정보를 가진 패킷의 음질은 약 0.1dB 정도 떨어지게 된다. 하지만 음성압축 전송 시 송신채널의 정보를 이용하여 무선채널에러에 강하게 할 수 있다.

  • This study using a transaction cost approach perspective, this paper presents a model for understanding shopper's buying behavior. Finally, based on the results of these studies, this paper suggests practical implications to companies establishing their management strategy of the channels. In order to achieve the research purpose, it derived hypotheses from the literature studies and conducted questionnaire survey for the buyer who actually purchased by distribution channels. In this paper, 876 of the samples has been used in practice and with those samples it analyzes its empirical testing through reliability verification, validation, factor analysis, correlation analysis and covariance structure analysis.

  • In this paper, the variations of threshold voltage characteristics for ratio of channel length and thickness have been alanyzed for DG(Double Gate)MOSFET having top gate and bottom gate. Since the DGMOSFET has two gates, it has advantages that contollability of gate for current is nearly twice and SCE(Short Channel Effects) shrinks in nano devices. The channel length and thickness in MOSFET determines device size and extensively influences on SCEs. The threshold voltage roll-off, one of the SCEs, is large with decreasing channel length. The threshold voltage roll-off and drain induced barrier lowing have been analyzed with various ratio of channel length and thickness for DGMOSFET in this study.

  • In OFDM system, frequency-domain sub-carriers of a symbol generally consist of data sub-carriers and scattered pilot sub-carriers and in the receiver, channel is estimated through time-axis interpolating pilot sub-carriers of several OFDM symbols. However, time-axis interpolation fails to keep track of rapid channel variation caused by fast moving receiver. Although symbol by symbol channel estimation without time-axis interpolation enables fast estimation, the performance is severely degraded for a long delay spread channel in a single frequency networks (SFNs) because of insufficient pilot sub-carriers. In this paper, a channel estimation scheme for OFDM receiver in a fast mobile SFN channel is proposed. The proposed scheme is applied to DVB-T receiver to improve the Doppler mobile performance in SFN channel.

Channel Reordering and Prefetching Techniques for Efficient Channel Navigation in IPTVs (효율적인 IPTV 채널 탐색을 위한 채널 재배치 및 프리페칭 기법)

  • As IPTV has become one of the major Internet services, IPTV users and channels increase rapidly. However, the increased number of channels makes users difficult to find their desired channels. Along with this, the channel switching time of IPTV incurs serious user-perceived delay. To alleviate these problems, this paper presents hybrid schemes that combine channel prefetching and reordering schemes. Simulation experiments show that combining adjacency based prefetching and popular channel reordering reduces the channel seek time by up to 44.7% in comparison with the conventional channel seeking interfaces.

Effect of Channel Estimation Error on Capacity of MIMO Systems (MIMO 시스템의 채널 용량에 대한 채널 추정 오차의 영향 분석)

  • The capacity of MIMO systems is numerically analyzed when channel estimation error exists. The analysis shows that the capacity is influenced by Mean Square Error (MSE) as well as average Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR). Furthermore, in this paper we present the standard selecting a channel estimator suitable to a system owing to get a tolerable channel estimation error in a given average SNR and channel capacity loss. The simulation results show that the tolerable MSEs for 1 bps/Hz capacity loss are about 10$^{-2}$ and 10$^{-4}$ at n dB and 40 dB average SNR, respectively.

  • In this paper, we explain differences between SCM and extended SCM(SCME), and investigate how these channel models affects MIMO system level performance. System level simulation is performed according to the number of users and drifting-time intervals with SCM and SCME, respectively. The performance of SCME is slightly better than SCM since mid-paths and the drifting-time in SCME causes more fluctuations in MIMO channels.

  • To avoid a channel zapping delay, the device needs to predict a next channel and must download it. Previous researches suggest algorithms based on assumption by utilizing many data. How to select and download future channels is a main issue in IPTV system. Most proposal based on assumption do not guarantees complete performance of channel zapping. In this paper, we suggest an effective method to avoid a channel zapping time with a constant performance by using a number remote controller key information.

A Channel Management Technique using Neural Networks in Wireless Networks (신경망을 이용한 무선망에서의 채널 관리 기법)

  • The channel is one of the precious and limited resources in wireless networks. There are many researches on the channel management. Recently, the optimization problem of guard channels has been an important issue. In this paper, we propose an intelligent channel management technique based on the neural networks. An SRN channel allocation model is developed to generate the learning data for the neural networks and the performance analysis of system. In the proposed technique, the neural network is trained to generate optimal guard channel number g, using backpropagation supervised learning algorithm. The optimal g is computed using the neural network and compared to the g computed by the SRM model. The numerical results show that the difference between the value of 8 by backpropagation and that value by SRM model is ignorable.
