By analyzing the successful innovation case of potato microtuber mass production technology, a representative case of technology-push type creative innovation in an imitation oriented research culture, this paper attempts to figure out conceptual model of creative innovation that is initiated by the public laboratories in catching-up country, Stages of creative innovation can be divided into the internal R&D stage and the external commercialization stage. Success of the internal R&D stage depended on autonomy to secure creative research idea and commitment of individual researchers. Psychological pressure evoked from sportlights of mass media and commitment of sponsor increased the intensity of research efforts of the researcher Recognition of research problem and its significance was intensified by site visits of agricultural fields, and the recognized higher impacts of expected research results and knowledge creation achieved were a fundamental source of self-motivation. In the stage of commercialization stage, various legal, socio-economic, and psychological barriers were confronted. In a catching-up country lacking of experiences of creative innovation, creative innovation process can be regarded as a barrier elimination and cultural revolution process. Among the barriers, psychological refusal of farmers to corn-sized potato seeds was critical, which finally enforced to further researches to enlarge the size of potato seeds. In addition, the researcher has concentrated his research efforts in one specialized research area by getting a series of similar research project funds rather than diversification. It was lucky for him to have a chance to carry out a series of similar researches in one research area during the last 10 years. In getting research funds from government and private companies continuously in one research area, both internal and external promoters played significant roles.

New manufactural innovation was generated with combination with Do It Yourself(DIY) culture and Information and Communication Technology(ICT). It led people to make their creative idea in real things and share them. This social movement has been called as 'Maker' culture. As maker culture was developed, the places named 'Makerspace' with high-tech equipment and sharing environment have been widely spread and gotten spotlight. Futhermore, makerspaces have been diffused rapidly in Korea; because of its importance for the fourth industrial revolution. However, the operation of makerspaces is not matured as much as its popularity, so problems occurred in operating aspects. The number of related studies is not enough to foster domestic maker culture in Korea. Of that, studies on operation of makerspaces were limited and the quantity of survey sample was insufficient. Therefore, firstly, in this study, operation elements of makerspaces were extracted by literature review. And, survey for examining the extracted elements was conducted to four policy makers and researchers, four makerspace operators and four makers. Final survey was carried out by Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA) method to fifty recipients composed of policy makers and researchers, operators, and makers. In result, importance located above performance in every elements and in-depth interview was followed to understand domestic surroundings and suggest way to invigorate makerspaces in Korea. The suggestion shows as follows. First, online and offline platform for makers should be expanded; second, makerspace should connect private sponsorship with makers or their projects; third, policy direction has to be improved from venturing business to diffusion of maker culture; fourth, basic maker education should be enlarged.
This study sought to explore the enhancement of the introduction of teaching and learning methods for Problem Based Learning (PBL) and the evaluation factors to evaluate them effectively through an understanding lecture in Cultural Content Planning. It was intended to incorporate a practical zero-volume education methodology of problem-oriented learning and sufficient leading learning to reflect storytelling in the entire process of completing a cultural content with culture, cultural content, and content planning. To this end, the role of teaching methods should be faithful to ensure that teamwork and cooperation can be done organically according to the educational field, practice and situation. Students who take classes were asked to meet demand, reflect it through surveys, apply real-world problems, and acquire the entire course. Learners had to cooperate with each other until planning cultural content and completing the results through classes, and they evaluated themselves and colleagues in teamwork until the last result was completed from creative ideas. The results were shared together and the students were able to investigate the necessary PBL evaluation factors for themselves, and the prior research and survey on the method of PBL evaluation was conducted to derive the factors of understanding of cultural content planning. The derived assessment elements were able to identify priorities between the assessment elements using basic statistics, word cloud analysis, and AHP analysis. The components of the assessment derived were communication skills, basic knowledge, reasoning process, expertise, and evaluation techniques. Through this article, I was able to lead the understanding of cultural content planning to problem-oriented learning classes and encourage students to be familiar and smooth.

This study aimed to analyze the personality of 141 pre-service early childhood teachers who will be in charge of the quality of education in the early childhood curriculum and to verify the differences in the career resilience according to the personality types. Career resilirnce, which measures the ability to cope with various problems and create ideas according to the work environment, was judged to be a very important factor for teacher-child interaction and successful operation of the early childhood curriculum. The results of the study showed that, among personality types, in the case of extraversion and conscientiousness, groups with average scores or higher scored higher in creativity, flexibility, challenging spirit, and future orientation than the groups below. In the case of the openness personality, higher scores in creativity, flexibility and challenging spirit, and in the case of the agreeable personality, the group showed significantly higher scores in flexibility and future orientation. In the case of the neurotic personality, on the contrary, the group with below average score received higher scores in flexibility, challenging spirit, and future orientation. The significance of this study is that it suggests the need for comprehensive programs such as various extracurricular programs, curricula, and counseling to help and promote the formation of more positive personalities of pre-service early childhood teachers.
This study investigated the current state of Korean Maker Movement and explored the ways for activating Maker Movement in Korea. To do this purpose, we analyzed the data of 'A survey of the Korea Maker Movement in the second half of 2018', conducted by Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science & Creativity involved 20's~50's Koreans. As a results, first, awareness, interest and behavior intention of Maker Movement was not high in Korea. Second, there were significant different between participants and non-participants of Maker Community in Maker awareness and Maker activities. Third, the positive relation between Maker Community participation and Maker Orientation is parallel multiple mediated by Maker activating motives such as fun, relieving stress, expressing own idea, saving cost, social recognition. Lastly, based upon the results, we presented several ways to activate Maker Movement in Korea.
This study analyzed technological competitiveness of five major countries by using patent information that is typical intellectual property. Technological activity, patent competitiveness, market securement and patent concentration were designed as evaluation items for the technological competitiveness analysis, and the number of patent applications, family patents and triad patent families, and the paten concentration index were reflected as evaluation factors to be scored. For technologies to be analyzed, it referred to the energy harvesting technologies selected as 500 future technologies in the future technologic white paper 2013 published by KISTI. They were classified into technologies using thermoelectric, piezoelectric and photovoltaic elements, which are main detailed technologies of the energy harvesting technology, to investigate and analyze patent information for each detailed technology to understand their technological competitiveness. As a result, the United States ranked top with 75 and 70 points in the technology using thermoelectric and piezoelectric elements respectively, and Japan ranked top with 90 points in the energy harvesting technology using photovoltaic elements. It was analyzed that Korea held the second rank in the field using piezoelectric and photovoltaic elements, and the fifth in the technology using thermoelectric elements.
Through the design and production of works for the third semester as a major unit, It is proposed the process of satisfying the graduation standards with the design and production process of the drone which can be applied to various mobile environments. Using the shape of Ring Propeller, it is made to be able to play both the role of generating lift as a propeller and the role of a wheel that touches the ground through the surface of the rim. In addition, the Servo Motor is used to convert the drive shaft of the motor to the correct angle according to the command. Then, based on the idea, the 3D printing is implemented to confirm the result of the configuration, and the circuit for driving the propulsion is designed and manufactured. As a result, the conversion of the desired propulsion system during air navigation and operation failed due to the weight increase of the propellant. It is confirmed that the size of the thrust and the tolerance limit of the ring propeller are the errors. Through these processes, it has been recognized to have experience of creative thinking and cooperation through engineering approach and comprehensive design, and confirmed to satisfy the graduation criteria by writing an engineering paper on the result.
The culture industry has been considered very important as firms utilize human creativity as the main source for providing high-value-added services. In this industry, the inspirations and ideas of individual creators have been stressed rather than the roles of entrepreneurs so far. However, in recent years, due to the influence of "Hallyu" or the Korean Wave, entrepreneurial firms have actively participated in producing a variety of products embracing cultural value. In this vein, the entrepreneurship-related elements such as the degree of leaders' innovativeness, risk-taking environment, first mover advantage, employee compensation, and tolerance to failure were selected to investigate their effects on market leadership. As a result, it was observed that risk-taking environment, first mover advantage, employee compensation, and tolerance to failure had a positive effect whereas leaders' innovativeness was not statistically meaningful. These findings show that the creation of an atmosphere where employees' creativity can be fully appreciated is more important than the leader' insight-driven innovativeness. The results of this study indicate that when companies formulate strategies and the government initiate policies in the culture industry, entrepreneurship should be incorporated as a crucial element.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the teaching and learning process of physical computing using coding block for elementary gifted students in science. In order to obtain implications for teaching physical computing, we set the learning objectives from the Computer and Information Literacy Evaluation Standards developed by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement(IEA) and developed a teaching and learning program for physical computing through collaboration between science education and computer education experts according to learning objectives. The developed program was related to the use of the coding block MODI(TM) and 32 classes of physical computing instruction were conducted for 15 students of the 4th to 6th grade who belong to an education institute for the gifted in science affiliated to the University. In the physical computing class, the teaching and learning process was analyzed by collecting data such as classroom videos, class observation logs, teacher and student questionnaires, and interviews. Based on the results of the study, the implications of the teaching and learning process of physical computing using the coded blocks in the school education field were suggested. And we also explored the strategy of expanding the computational thinking through the activities of coding instruction to realize creative ideas.

The convergence and consilience in education (hereafter, interdisciplinary education) is receiving great attention from societies. This study aims to investigate the works of scientists and artists who have intended to combine science with the arts in the modern era, to take into account the socio-philosophical setbacks during the period, and to suggest pedagogical implications of science education as interdisciplinary education. The concept of interdisciplinary education stems from Plato's thought, idea, as a comprehensive and invariant truth. The renaissance, full of enrichment about scientific achievement, was based on Neo-Platonism pursuing holistic-synthetic approach. During the time, scientists presented in this study tried to find comprehensive principles and borrow useful method from the arts. In such a context, scientists not only made use of the arts for expression of scientific knowledge, but also drew conclusion by analogical reasoning between science and the arts. Artists, as well, relied upon anatomy and optics especially, to elaborate linear perspective and even developed their own scientific knowledge through personal experience. Hence, contemporary science education should encourage students to hold a holistic viewpoint about science and the arts, articulate explicit goals and outcomes as interdisciplinary education, implement meta-disciplinary instruction about science and the arts, and develop assessment framework for collaborative learning. There may be good examples for inter-disciplinary education as listed: illustrating scientific ideas through the arts and vice versa, organizing collaborative works and evaluations criteria for them, and stressing problem solving on a daily basis.
