Mechanism of Windowing of Domestic Free TV Programs (국내 지상파 방송 콘텐츠의 창구화 메커니즘 분석)

  • Domestic free TVs play roles as for contents provider and TV station : they need to acquire not only ad revenues but also distribution revenues from internet service, cable channel and DMB. It is however doubtful to keep the windowing of programs through the different windows due to recent decrease of ad revenues of the stations. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to search for the mechanism of windowing of free TV's programs and the strategy of the distribution. As a result, the life cycle of the broadcasting programs is so short to be distributed within 7 days, Regarding the windowing, there are at first the strategy increasing the accumulated revenue by the diversification of the windows ; secondly, the strategy focusing on the prospective window neglecting the holdback. It is necessary to choose to take the appropriate strategy by the particularity of each program and the market background.

  • The objective of this study is to review diverse determinants of windowing in Korean drama such as rating, theme, type of drama, quantity of newsbreak and independent production. The after-market will be overseas market, domestic cable TV and emerging two revenue sources such as VOD and DVD. Korean dramas aired on free TV between 2000 and 2004 will be analysed by chi-square.

  • The primary purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationships of single party bargaining system on the cooperative and participative labour-management relations using the samples from several teachers' organizations. This study seeks to identify a reasonable single party bargaining scheme though empirical research as well. Results of empirical study are summarized. Finally suggestions, implications and limitations of the present study are also discussed.

  • 은행 영업점 직원은 창구고객을 응대하는 것이 주업무이나 그 밖의 부수적인 업무에도 많은 시간을 할애하고 있다. 고객의 금전을 취급하는 특성으로 매일 시재의 검사와, 일일결산을 위하여 일일 항목별 보고서를 출력해서 결제를 받아야 하고 주기적으로 본부 부서에 보고서를 작성해서 보내야 한다. 그러나 보고서 관련 업무의 비중이 높아지면 영업점직원의 업무 부담이 과중해서 창구 응대에 소홀해질 우려가 있다. 이에 따라 보고업무의 능률화, 보고 경로의 개선, 온라인 업무의 개발로 영업점 보고서 업무가 재구축되어 관리업무를 최소화하고 고객서비스 업무에 투여할 수 있는 시간을 증대시켜야 한다.

  • Today, banks offer banking services to a large number of customers by a branch network spread all over the nation. The quantity and quality of services are advanced by fierce competition in their field. So they are attracting customers based on high confidence in the financial industry. In spite of these developments, the retail bank market currently does not satisfy customers demands and various desires. In this research, the problems with banking services were observed. It was proposed that the banking services apply a franchise business model. First, this proposal will reduce the business expenses by collaborating profits with head office of banks and affiliates. Second, it will offer greater satisfaction to the customers. Through the mutual collaboration with head office of banks and affiliates in this proposal, it is anticipated that banks will reduce their business expenses and improve services for customers by offering convenient and fast banking services. It is also expected that the banks will expand and make up their weakness through increased profit and customers will be provided additional services.

  • 최근의 방송은 고화질, 고품질, 실감화 등으로 방송통신융합과 신규 서비스가 나오게 됨으로서 멀티플랫폼으로 발전하고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 디지털 전환에 따른 방송장비의 진화로 장비수요가 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 국내는 주로 방송장비산업체가 중소기업 위주로 이루어져 있어, 정부차원의 적극적인 지원과 국내 외의 표준화를 통한 국산 방송장비의 원천 기술 확보 및 방송사업자의 적극적인 활용을 통한 검증으로 경쟁력 강화가 함께 이루어질 수 있도록 하여야 할 것이다. 또한 정부의 지원으로 기 개발된 장비는 개도국과 선진국으로 분류하여 차별화된 방송장비로 공략하고, 개도국에 중복된 지원을 단일 창구화하여 공략할 수 있도록 정부차원의 정책이 필요할 것으로 보인다.

The Conjoint Analysis of Users' Preference on the VODs of the Newly-released Movies (최신 영화 VOD 이용자의 선호도에 대한 컨조인트 분석)

  • This study examined the importance of independent variables that affect users' preference on the VODs of the newly-released movies by using the conjoint analysis. The results demonstrated that 'price(44.6%)' is the most important variable, which is followed by 'device(24.5%)', 'recency(18.0%)', 'producing country(12.9%)'. Respondents obtained the relatively high utility from watching the VOD of a Korean movie currently on screen in 3,000 wons. A television set was the most preferable device for watching VODs. The traditional windowing strategy in the media content market has been recently challenged by the new trend that the holdback period between market windows is ignored and the high-priced content is found in the second window. Nevertheless, this study demonstrated that users of the VODs of the newly-released movies are still very sensitive to the price and consider 'the recency' to be relatively less important than 'price'.
