  • Telematics, which is a compound word of a telecommunication and informatics, provides drivers with useful driving information such as driving path guidance, accident or robbery detection, traffic conditions and other valuable data at real time. This paper proposes and implements how to build a telematics terminal equipped with CDMA and GPS running embedded Linux, to check a vehicle's state through communication between telematics server and vehicle terminals using a cellular phone and to control a vehicle using SMS as shown in Figure 1. In order to do this, we use the SK-VM platform which is mobile terminal platform based on JAVA to design, implement and evaluate it.

  • IEEE WAVE is going through the final standardization process as the wireless access technology which provides drivers in high-speed vehicles with safety-related information and commercial services This paper presents an application-layer protocol for safe driving assistant service and a service system emulator based on this protocol. The safe driving assistant system includes a construction zone information service and a vehicle crash notification service, an emergency vehicle notification service, a probing service and a dilemma zone decision assistant service. Emulator System design for verifying functions of system, The emulator consists of an emulator server that models the movement of all vehicles and road states and a number of clients that models functional units for OBUs, RSUs, and a traffic control center).

  • Traffic network is composed of passing vehicls, delayed vehicles, traffic situation which is traffic incomes of traffic interfacing system. Traffic green time light is concluded by inside input factor, that is green light cycle, yellow light cycle, led light cycle, which light cycle is sensor inputs. That light cycle is converted to traffic phase composed of passing peoples and delayed vehicles, whose intervals is concluding of traffic network factors composed of consumptiom power factors, delayed time situation, occupying sensor nodes. This is very important sector,because of much poor traffic situation.

  • VANET(Vehicular Ad hoc Network)시스템은 차량 간의 무선 통신을 통해 구성되는 임시적인 네트워크이다. 이 네트워크를 통행 차량사고 알림과 같은 긴급메시지를 보내게 되면, 운전자는 이를 알아차리고 대응 할 수 있게 된다. 이런 긴급메시지는 전파를 하는데 있어서 짧은 지연시간과 높은 신뢰성이 보장되어야 한다. 그리고 또 하나의 요소가 필요한데 그것은 방향성이다. 긴급메시지를 사고가 발생한 후방차량으로 알릴 수 있어야 하며, 이런 유용한 정보를 운전자 받아 들여 사고를 미연에 방지 할 수가 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 방향성을 고려하게 된다.

  • 본 논문에서는 자동차 내부에 무선 센서 네트워크를 구축하여 데이터를 획득하고 처리하는 시스템을 개발하였다. 자동차 관리 시스템은 자동차 외부의 주행상황에 대한 정보를 받으며, 동시에 자동차 내부의 상태를 점검하고 사용자에게 내부 정보를 보여줌으로서 전문적인 지식 없이도 자신의 차를 유지 및 관리할 수 있도록 한다. 특히 사용자에게 접근이 용이하게 구현되어 승차자가 느끼는 시스템 접근의 어려움을 감소시키고 실질적인 편의를 도모한다. 시스템 구성은 차체 내부 데이터를 수집하는 단말 노드, 시리얼 통신용 수신 게이트웨이, 차체 정보를 처리하는 인터페이스 응용으로 분류된다. 자동차 관리 시스템의 성능을 확인하기 위해, 관련 하드웨어와 프로그램을 간략히 설명한다. 이를 위해 무선 센서 네트워크와 센싱 하드웨어의 특징을 기술하고, 이를 이용한 차량의 각종 전기신호와 센서들을 통합 제어하는 시스템을 제시한다.

  • Recent vehicles are using car internal network for various purposes such as vehicle control, diagnostic functions, and ECU program upgrade. Currently CAN and FlexRay are the most representative networks. In the next-generation network, the use of CAN FD and car ethernet is actively studied. In this paper, we aimed to compare and evaluate the diagnostic function and the program of the ECU from the upgrade view on characteristics related to download time for each network when CAN, CAN FD, and FlexRay network are applied. As a result of the simulation, it was possible to determine that the CAN FD network is currently the most suitable for the next-generation network by suppressing other networks in terms of cost performance even under conditions of 500 Kbps and 2 Mbps which are practically usable speeds.

  • In recent years, with increasing utilization of mobile devices such as smartphones, the need for PNS(Pedestrian Navigation Systems) that provide guidance for moving pedestrians is increasing. For the navigation services, road network is the most important component when it comes to creating route and guidance information. In particular, pedestrian network requires modeling methods for more detailed and vast space compared to road network. Therefore, more efficient method is needed to establish pedestrian network that was constructed by existing field survey and manual editing process. This research proposed a pedestrian network creation method appropriate for pedestrians, based on CNS(Car Navigation Systems) data that already has been broadly constructed. Pedestrian network was classified into pedestrian link(sidewalk, side street, walking facility) and openspace link depending on characteristics of walking space, and constructed by applying different methodologies in order to create path that similar to the movements of actual pedestrians. The proposed algorithm is expected to become an alternative for reducing the time and cost of pedestrian network creation.

  • In this paper, we proposed scheme that obtain diversity gain in the cooperative communication to mitigate, applied to the effects of fading in the vehicle communication. Relay used bus that can available in the city environment. In addition, we applied the double rayleigh fading environment so that can applied in real-environments. Therefore, proposed scheme through this paper applied to vehicle communication, user can acquire a high quality service and the operation efficiency of the network is improved. Finally, performance of the proposed protocol is analyzed in terms of bit error rate.

  • Recently car navigation systems which are widely spreaded and provide routes exactly have been evolved. The systems use various information and techniques as follows. In order to provide shortest path with good flow, realtime traffic information provided by DMB is used. Augmented reality technique is also introduced to give the sense of real to driver by displaying real images captured by camera during driving. But these operate well when the GPS receives data normally. Exact information about the position of vehicles becomes a base that supports the above function with realities. This paper proposes a method for compensating a given path. It uses various information by integrated vehicle networks when the GPS does not operates normally.

Emergency Vehicle Dispatching on Unreliable Road Networks (불확실한 도로 네트워크에서의 응급차량 배차)

  • 이 논문에서는 지진이나 해일과 같은 자연재해가 발생했을 때 생존자의 수를 최대화하기 위한 응급차량의 배차 문제에 대하여 살펴본다. 이 경우에는 도로 네트워크상에서 최단거리에 있으리라 예상되는 환자부터 실어 나르는 스케줄링 규칙을 많이 이용한다. 이 스케줄링 규칙을 SEPT(Shortest Expected Processing Time) 라고 한다. 이 논문에서는 SEPT보다 효율적이라 생각되는 새로운 스케줄링 규칙을 제안한다. 이 스케줄링 규칙은 처리시간과 납기일이 확정적인 경우에 생존자의 수를 최대화시켜주는 스케줄링을 제공하는 Moore의 알고리즘을 처리시간과 납기일이 확률적인 경우로 확장한 것이다. 다음으로 이 스케줄링 규칙을 지진이 많이 발생하는 미국 캘리포니아 주 로스앤젤레스의 한 지역을 대상으로 몇 가지 생존확률 하에서 생존자의 수를 기준으로 SEPT와 비교한다. 그 결과 모든 생존확률 하에서 제안된 스케줄링 규칙이 SEPT보다 평균적으로 생존자의 수를 더 늘려주는 스케줄링을 제공한다. 그리고 많은 경우 제안된 스케줄링 규칙은 최적 스케줄링을 제공한다.
