  • The purpose of this study is to examine the spatial distribution of highly educated human capital and to identify key factors affecting their spatial distribution. We analyzed the spatial concentration and inequality using Gini's coefficient and exploratory spatial data analysis and identified the economic and amenity factors to affect the spatial concentration of highly educated human capital using spatial regression model. The findings show that the spatial pattern of highly educated human capital is concentrated, imbalanced, and clustered in Capital region and part of Chungcheong and Gangwon region. The spatial concentration were more affected by economic factor than by amenity factors. This study provides some implication on the regional economic strategies to attract the human capital.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze effects of blended learning on abilities to use smart-phone and applications among students with intellectual disabilities. To do this, 30 students with intellectual disabilities who were enrolled in special school and special classroom in Jellanam-do and Gwanju metropolitan city were selected for this study, and were placed experimental and control groups of 15 students. The experimental group was provided with blended learning in which direct instruction, anchored instruction, experience activities, and community-based instruction were combined, and the control group was provided with traditional teacher-centered lecture style intervention. Pre-, post-, and maintenance evaluations were conducted two weeks after intervention. The collected data was analyzed the repeated two-way ANOVA. In the result of study, the experimental group improved on abilities to use smart-phone and applications than control group. Blended learning is a teaching method that can be a usefully used when educating how to use smart-phone and applications to students with intellectual disabilities.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the process of relationships among participants in a group mentoring program. Sixteen youths who participated as mentees in a group mentoring program were theoretically sampled and participated in in-depth interviews. The analysis was based on Strauss and Corbin's grounded theory approach(1990). The result shows that the qualitative text data were classified into 14 categories and 31 sub-categories. Four different types of mentees' experiences were identified: 'expanded mentoring relationship', 'peer-oriented relationship', 'task-oriented relationship' and 'avoidant relationship'. Through a process analysis, four stages including 'stage of exploring', 'stage of establishing relations', 'stage of conflict' and 'stage of expanding relations' were discovered. Implications for social work intervention and policy development were discussed based on these findings.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting consumer resistance of smart watches, focusing on consumer groups. SPSS 19.0 was used to conduct a descriptive analysis and multi regression analysis of the data. This study is based on the questionnaire data of 407 consumers. The results of this study are as follows. First, the relative advantage was identified as a factor in reducing consumer resistance across all gender and age groups. Second, complexity has been identified as a factor that increases the consumer resistance of female consumers, and consumer groups in their 20s and 40s. Third, esthetics was found to reduce consumer resistance in men, women, and the consumer group in their 20s. Fourth, subjective norms were identified as a factor reducing consumer resistance in women and in consumer groups in their 20s and 30s. Fifth, the risk of privacy was identified as a factor in increasing consumer resistance in men and the consumer group in their 40s. The results of this study can be helpful to understand consumer resistance to smartwatches.

  • The purpose of this research was to develop and analyze the effects of ICT based teaching learning process plans for 'Designing My Home' unit of Technology Home Economics subject in High School. The seven housing contents were selected from 8 textbooks and 8 teaching resources at the analyses stage. A specific homepage(ieduhome.cafe.com) was built to utilize the eight ICT teaching learning process plan as well as many other resources at the planning & development stages. The number of 68 highschool students have participated for the application stage during September 4-26, 2003 and the same number have studied the same contents through regular teaching learning plans as a comparison group. Experimental groups have significantly more increased in the knowledge and understanding of the housing contents than have comparison groups. The same results occurred in the interests in Home Economics, Housing, and Internet utilized study. The Design reports were not statistically differed between two groups based on the objective evaluation criteria. The results of this study generally supported previous research and showed that the In teaching learning plans were more effective in various aspects than were the regular plans.

  • Online social networks(OSN) are very popular nowadays. As OSNs grows, the commercial markets are expanding their social commerce by applying Influence Maximization. However, in reality, there exist more than two players(e.g., commercial companies or service providers) in this same market sector. To address the Influence Maximization problem between adversaries, we first introduced Influence Maximization against the social adversaries' problem. Then, we proposed an algorithm that could efficiently solve the problem efficiently by utilizing social network properties such as Betweenness Centrality, Clustering Coefficient, Local Bridge and Ties and Triadic Closure. Moreover, our algorithm performed orders of magnitudes better than the existing Greedy hill climbing algorithm.

  • This paper is aimed at studying the sexuality elements and their perceptibility in the sports photographs and images of internet portal media. The sexuality elements are composed of athletes' uniform, body and external feature. In an analysis of sports' users through portal media, there were some differences in an experimental group of men. There was the difference between an experimental group of men and a of men and women sports game. The perceptibility of sexuality imaged by sports images of men and women games in portal media was higher in an of men and women sports game than the experimental group of men. Accordingly, the sexuality imaged through sports images of portal media had a higher effect on sports' men-users.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the teachers' and parents' perceptions on the 2015 revised national curriculum, which integrated humanities and sciences. In order to do so, 102 high school teachers and 68 high school parents were surveyed on their understanding of the 2015 revised curriculum including core competence, student-participatory class, and process-oriented assessment. The results are as follows. First, the teachers had a higher understanding of the purpose, contents, and major revisions of the 2015 revised curriculum than the parents. Second, among the core competencies presented in the revised 2015 curriculum, both teachers and parents considered communication, community and self-management competencies important. Third, both groups said that student-participatory classes and process-oriented evaluation has increased since the implementation of the 2015 revised curriculum. Based on these study results, suggestions for successful operation of the 2015 revised curriculum and future research were discussed.
