Development of a Question List in Accordance with Stage of Research, Which Guides Open Inquiry of Gifted Students in Science (과학영재의 자유탐구를 안내하는 연구단계별 질문목록 개발)

  • The open inquiry is one of the representative learning approaches for gifted students. However, a gifted student should develop various complicated competencies to succeed in the open inquiry because of its complexity. This study develops a question list in accordance with each stage of inquiry so that the list could provide scaffolding in the process of open inquiry and students develop near-professional competencies and produce distinguished outcomes. For the purpose, we have reviewed various literatures related to research methodologies, academic writings, and learning of inquiry. Based on the review, we identified the open inquiry as cognitive, metacognitive, and sociocultural processes and set up the direction of the development of the question list. We also have elaborated the goals of the open inquiry, provided a model of the stage of inquiry, and developed the guiding question list belonging to each stage. As a discussion, we provided several noteworthy issues in the situation of when the list is used in the teaching of the open inquiry for the gifted.

  • 지식검색은 방대한 지식정보 데이터를 바탕으로 사용자의 질문에 대한 답변을 검색하는 시스템이다. 이러한 사용자 참여로 구축된 지식정보는 잘못된 답변으로 인한 신뢰성 부족과 중복 답변 등의 문제점이 있어, 원하는 답변을 찾기 위해서는 지식검색에서 다수의 답변을 읽고 그 답변의 진위여부를 판단해야만 한다. 만일 정답에 포함되는 단어나 어구가 답변들에서 나타내는 통계적 특성을 활용하여 사용자가 원하는 답변을 제시할 수 있다면, 지식검색의 효용성과 신뢰성이 크게 향상될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 지식정보 데이터 분석을 통해 사용자의 질문의 유형을 단어, 목록, 도표, 글의 4가지 유형으로 분류하고, 각 분류에 대한 사용자 질의어의 답변을 요약하는 방식을 제안한다. 단어, 목록, 글 유형은 TF와 IDF, 어휘 간의 거리 정보를 통해서 중요 단어를 추출하여 각 유형에 적합한 형식의 답변을 사용자에게 제시한다. 도표형은 답변들에서 사용자의 의견 정보를 추출하여 의견 통계를 도표로서 제시한다.

Question and Answering System through Search Result Summarization of Q&A Documents (Q&A 문서의 검색 결과 요약을 활용한 질의응답 시스템)

  • A user should pick up relevant answers by himself from various search results when using user participation question answering community like Knowledge-iN. If refined answers are automatically provided, usability of question answering community must be improved. This paper divides questions in Q&A documents into 4 types(word, list, graph and text), then proposes summarizing methods for each question type using document statistics. Summarized answers for word, list and text type are obtained by question clustering and calculating scores for words using frequency, proximity and confidence of answers. Answers for graph type is shown by extracting user opinion from answers.

Constructing 3-year-old classroom with role play areas based on field-trips (현장학습을 중심으로 구성해가는 만 3세 교실의 역할 놀이 영역)

  • The purpose of this study is to reveal the insights that teachers has learned through developing preschooler's classroom into field-trip-oriented ones with role play areas. The data of this study was collected from participatory observation and in-depth interviews, which included videos, photos, teachers' journal, descriptive questionnaire, and interview records. The whole process of organizing role-play oriented class was composed of four steps: activities before the trip, activities on-the-spot, activities after the trip, and its evaluation. Firstly, activities before the trip were making the lists of questions, deciding children who ask the questions, making rules on the trip, understanding the purpose of the trip. Secondly, on-the-spot activities included having a tour of the place and asking the questions. Thirdly, activities after the trip was constructing the classroom into small real world with various sections. This required the teachers to reflect the field trips, make plans how to construct, prepare for the data, and furnish the classroom with role-play areas. In the process of furnishing the classroom with small real world, the field trips played a big role as the learning opportunities for language development, and keeping public rules.

A Study on the Searching Behavior of Web-based OPAC Users (웹기반 온라인목록의 이용행태 연구)

  • The primary questions addressed by this research are the followings: Has the interface of a Web-based OPAC been improved more user-friendly; How about its searching abilities; What difficulties have Web-based OPAC searchers experienced in using a Web OPAC; How do they perceive the system after use of it. Finding the answers of those questions the problems of a Web OPAC as a searching tool have been grasped and recommendations have been suggested in order to improve the system. An experiment was conducted and 30 university students performed 8 searching tasks. The searching behavior of Web OPAC searchers has been analyzed thoroughly. The data of their perceptions about the system was collected through a questionnaire after completing the tasks.

  • The primary questions addressed by this research are the followings: Have the OPAC interfaces of children's libraries been designed user-friendly; What difficulties have OPAC searchers experienced in using OPACs; How do they perceive the system after searching it; Through the answers of those questions the problems of OPACs for children as searching tools have been grasped and recommendations have been suggested in order to improve the OPAC interfaces. An experiment was conducted and 28 children of grades 4 to 6 performed 5 searching tasks. The searching behavior of OPAC searchers has been analyzed thoroughly. The data of their perceptions about the system was collected through a questionnaire after completing the tasks.

  • The alms of this study is to analyse the user's behavior, satisfaction, difficulties and selection of retrieval keywords for the use of Web-based OPAC in the College students. The methods of the questionnaire and the interview was applied to get the data and processed by using SPSSWIN 10.1. Several research results was proved the hypothesis such as differences between major subject of students in their fields. Furthermore, based on the result of this analysis, another purpose is to come up with the Improvements of functions prompting difficulties and answers to problems found in the Web OPAC, helping them to use the Web OPAC efficiently.

  • 'I'he purpose of this study is to offer the basic data in an Online Public Access Catalog(OPAC) for improving information guidance service and user interface when constructing a new system. For this purpose, users' using situations, purposes, frequencies, and types were examined and the problems of the present OPAC were found and some measures of improvement were proposed. Literature studies and a survey were paralleled in this study. The former was based on the previous studies to theorize the use of OPAC, and the latter was performed to clarify the relationships between some factors that affect the use of OPAC and OPAC's using levels, which was made on 308 users, with questionnaire and interviews, who have been using OPAC in Shimin Library.

Effects of Spacing Words on Reading Adnominal Eojeol (띄어쓰기가 관형어절 이해에 미치는 영향)

  • 띄어쓰기는 한글 맞춤법에 명시되어 있는 규정에 따르면 되지만, 근본적으로 명확한 정의가 내려있지 않으며 복잡하고 애매모호한 기준들이 얽혀 사용자들이 혼란을 겪는 등 많은 오류를 일으키고 있다. 이에 맞춤법 오류에 대한 원인을 찾아 체계적인 교육이 이루어지거나, 맞춤법을 수정 및 보완할 필요성이 있다 하겠다. 본 연구는 사용자들의 편의성을 우선시하여 맞춤법에 있어 논리적 근거를 마련하고 한국어 정보처리의 양상을 살펴보는 것에 의의가 있다. 이에 비교적 띄어쓰기 기준이 명확한 관형어절에 초점을 두어 띄어쓰기가 읽기에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 실시하였다. '관형사 + 명사' 구조와 '~적 + 명사' 구조의 관형어절이 포함된 104개의 문장을 가지고 2개의 목록을 만들었다. 목록 간에는 띄어쓰기 여부가 반대이며 피험자는 목록 중 하나를 경험하였다. 하나의 문장을 끊어서 제시하여 피험자는 읽는 데로 space bar key를 누르는 자기 읽기 조절 과제를 시행하였고, 이어서 문장에 대한 질문을 통해 이해도 검사를 실시하였다. 관형어절을 읽는 평균 속도를 분석한 결과 미세한 차이가 있었으나, 유의미하지는 않았다. 이는 관형어절에 있어서 띄어쓰기의 영향이 크지 않음을 의미한다고 볼 수 있겠다.
