This study investigated the effects of major selection motives and occupational values on employment preparation behavior among paramedic students. The study also assessed the role of mentoring in enhancing preparation for employment. During the period of five days, from December 2 to 6, 2019, 300 students randomly selected by the researcher, were provided with a self-administered questionnaire, after taking written consent from them. The responses of 286 respondents were analyzed using the SPSS WIN 12.0 program. Fourteen responses were not included in the analysis due to lack of credible answers. The analysis revealed that personal motivation, intrinsic and extrinsic work values had a positive effect on employment preparation behavior and mentoring had a moderating effect. Therefore, continuous individual and group counseling is required to improve employment preparation behavior and special lectures and mock interviews in a mentoring program based on major selection motivations and occupational values are necessary.

This study was conducted to identify the predictors of the choice of regional small and medium hospitals by identifying the job preference, recognition of small and medium hospitals. For this purpose, data were collected from September 2018 to October 2018 for nursing students attending 4 universities in Gwangju and Jeollanam - do, and total of 476 questionnaires were analyzed using the SPSS / WIN 24.0 program. The results showed that 66.0% of nursing students selected region local small and medium hospitals. The factors influencing the choice of region small and medium hospitals were high school region, nursing school performance and recognition of small and medium hospitals. In order to increase the employment rate of nursing students to the region small and medium hospitals, nursing educators should provide personalized career guidance to students who want to work in small and medium hospitals and hospital personnel should establish various public relations activities and marketing strategies to raise recognition of small and medium hospitals.

다중지능은 하워드 가드너가 제시한 개념으로, 지능이 단일한 지적 능력을 나타내는 구조(construct)이라기 보다는 다차원적인 복수의 하위 능력들로 구성된 것이라는 의미를 담고 있다. Gardner는 다중지능의 구성을 음악지능이나 신체운동지능, 논리수학지능, 언어지능, 공간지능, 인간친화지능, 자기성찰지능 그리고 자연친화지능 등과 같은 상호독립적 능력으로 분류하고 있으며, 각 개인은 각 능력 영역에서 다른 발달 수준을 가지고 있다고 본다. 본 연구는 창업자의 다중지능의 영역별 발달 특성이 창업 실행 행동, 창업 분야, 창업 성과 만족도에 영향을 미치는지를 알아보는 것을 통해 예비 창업자들이 본인의 적성과 재능에 적합한 분야에서의 창업 가능성을 탐색하도록 돕는 지도자들에게 시사점을 제공하고, 향후 창업가 육성 프로그램의 구성 개선안을 마련하는 데에 기여하고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 2018년 중소기업진흥공단 청년창업사관학교에 입교한 만 39세 이하의 청년창업자 200인을 대상으로 다중지능검사와 인구통계학적 특성 및 창업 특성에 대해 묻는 설문조사를 실시한 후, Pearson 상관계수 및 다변량분산분석을 통해 수집된 자료를 분석할 예정이다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 설정한 가설은 다음의 3가지이다. 가설 1. 창업자의 다중지능 영역별 발달 수준과 창업 실행에는 정적인 상관이 있을 것이다. 가설 2. 창업자의 다중지능 영역별 발달 수준에 따라 창업자가 선택한 창업 분야에 유의한 차이가 있을 것이다. 가설 3. 창업자의 다중지능 영역별 발달 수준에 따라 창업자의 창업 성과 만족도에 유의미한 차이가 있을 것이다.

This study is designed to figure out the effects of major selection motivation on career efficacy and major satisfaction of college students majoring in culinary and foodservice management. To achieve this purpose, a survey was carried out to 209 college students. The findings showed that their major selection had a significant effect on their career efficacy and major satisfaction. But the mediating effect of their career efficacy as a mediator - which improves their major selection and major satisfaction - was partially adopted. Consequently, their internal and external participation motivation for their major selection is a facilitating mechanism to maximize their major satisfaction, and it is necessary to limit the use as a mediating variable of their career efficacy.

본 사례 연구는 수학 교사로서 연구자가 학급에서 중간 정도의 학업 성적을 가지면서 특히 언어 영역이 상위의 학생이 수학 성적에서는 최하에 있는 수학 학습 부진을 보이는 한 여학생을 선정하여 매일 수학을 가르치면서 이 학생의 수학 학습의 부진 요인에 대한 해답을 찾고자 했다. 본 연구에서는 비구조화된 인터뷰, 관찰기록, 전화, 이메일, 부모와의 인터뷰이며, 객관적인 자료를 위해 수학 기본능력 검사, 수학 내신성적, 대학수학능력 모의고사, 진로탐색 검사 등의 자료를 수집하였다. 이렇게 수집된 모든 자료를 일기 형식의 연구 일지에 기록하여 이 학생의 변화에 대한 기록을 하였다. 본 연구에 따르면, 이 여학생은 낮은 지능과 잘못된 계열 선택, 기초학습 및 선수학습의 결손, 학교와 학급에 대한 부적응, 교사와 학생간의 부정적인 인간관계, 수학교과에 대한 불안감, 학습 실패 경험의 누적에 의한 자신감 상실, 학생의 능력 수준을 고려하지 않은 부모의 높은 기대치 등의 요인에 의해 수학 학습에서 어려움을 겪고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

1990년 대 이후 대한민국의 음악 엔터테인먼트 컨텐츠는 동서양을 넘어 각 대륙으로 수출되며 다양한 부가 가치를 창출하고 있다. 이에 따라 엔터테인먼트 산업은 직업과 진로의 선택에 있어 젊은 층의 높은 선호를 받고 있지만 업계의 외형적 성장에 비해 내부의 직업적 환경과 만족도는 열악한 상황으로 90년 대 이전 '도제 방식'이라는 미명 하에 이어져 온 텃세와 관행 등은 업계 종사자와 신규 창업자를 이탈시키고 있다. 산업의 선순환과 지속 가능성 제고를 위하여 다양한 형태의 청년 창업 지원이 이루어지고 있으나 실제 창업현장에서의 효과는 미미한 실정이다. 본 연구는 SWOT 모델을 이용하여 음악 엔터테인먼트 분야 청년 창업의 강점과 약점, 창업 환경에 따른 위기와 기회를 분석한 후 음악 엔터테인먼트 분야 청년 창업의 시사점을 제시하고 성공 전략을 모색하고자 한다.

Objectives : The aim of the study was to investigate major satisfaction, career choices and perceived career barriers in college students majoring in alternative medicine. Methods : A total of 315 college students majoring in alternative medicine in 5 universities in K city and J province completed survey questionnaires. Results : The highest proportions of students (38.4%) chose alternative medicine major because of their aptitude and interest. Students (59.0%) were satisfied in general with their majors. Regarding career direction after graduation, the highest proportions 1st of and 2nd year students answered that they haven't decided yet (33.7%). In addition, they wanted to get a job in hospitals (24.6%) and have more education (21.9%). The highest proportions of 3rd and 4th year students wanted to get a job in hospitals (31.3%) and 27.3% of them wanted to have more education. The most important criterion for choosing a career was a career aptitude (38.7%) followed by professionalism, vision, pay, and social status in both groups. Regarding perceived career barriers, the highest proportions of 1st and 2nd year students (31.6%) answered the lack of social recognition about alternative medicine while the highest proportions of 3rd and 4th year students (55.5%) answered the lack of national certifications (P<0.001). Conclusions : In general, students majoring in alternative medicine were satisfied with their majors. They wanted to get a job at a hospital and have more education. They thought that the lack of social recognition and national certification of alternative medicine would be career barriers.

The study in this paper considers how elementary school students' interest in mathematics and STEAM literacy could be promoted by conjoining the learning of mathematics with the learning of drone topics. Survey instrument was developed to measure student attitudes toward mathematics and science subjects and to evaluate student beliefs on learning mathematics embedded in science topics. Data were collected from elementary school students by administering pre- and post-tests: students were intervened with examples of math problems embedded in certain science contexts. The findings indicate that elementary school students' experience of solving mathematics problems embedded in science contexts positively affects the promotion of their attitudes toward, beliefs on science subjects and science and engineering career path selection. We hope that the mathematics program using the drone will be used in the classroom for STEAM.

We examine the extent to which students' performance relative to peers affects their career choice. Specifically, we analyze the relationship between a student's mathematics ranking in his/her school and the likelihood of choosing Mathematics and Science track in high school. Using a panel dataset of students in Seoul, we measure a student's performance using two variables: absolute performance and relative performance. The former measures a student's performance relative to the entire sample, while the latter measures performance relative to the student's peers in the same school. After controlling for test scores and other characteristics, we find that the students with a poor relative ranking are 11 percentage points less likely to choose the Mathematics and Science track. Relative performance affects girls more greatly than boys. Although relative performance affects a student's self-efficacy and class participation, our accounting exercise suggests that this channel accounts for only 12 percent of the impact, implying that students may respond to the relative ranking mostly due to other factors, such as strategic consideration to perform well in college applications.

Data mining techniques enable us to generate useful information for decision support from the data sources which are generated and accumulated in the process of routine organizational management activities. College administration system is a typical example that produces a warehouse of student records as each and every student enters a college and undertakes the curricular and extracurricular activities. So far, these data have been utilized to a very limited student service purposes, such as issuance of transcripts, graduation evaluation, GPA calculation, etc. In this paper, we utilized Holland career search test results, TOEIC score, course work list and GPA score as the input for data mining, and we were able to generate knowledge and rules with regard to the college road map advisory service. Factor analysis and AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) were the primary techniques deployed in the data mining process. Since these data mining techniques are very powerful in processing and discovering useful knowledge and information from large scale student databases, we can expect a highly sophisticated student advisory knowledge and services which may not be obtained from the human student advice experts.
