  • The sound field can be classified to the direct and reverberant sound field. If the sound absorption material in a room is not applied sufficiently, the reverberant sound field increases and the sound pressure in a room also increases when the sound source exists in a room. Therefore, the reverberation time should be controled in order to reduce the reverberant sound as well as sound pressure level in a room. Even though the reverberation time is specified and researched widely in architectural engineering, it is rarely performed in a marine engineering. Therefore, in this research, the reverberation time in a navel vessel is researched related to the noise reduction in a cabin.

  • This study gives the results of the measurements and analysises of the reverberation times in a small room such as apartment houses. We measured the RT by changing measurement conditions, which were sound sources. sound source's positions, receiving point & height, sampling time and so on. The critical factor affecting reverberation time was sound source in unoccupied houses and the reverberation time differences between result of RT using impulsive and interrupted sound source was 0.3sec at 500Hz frequency. And the difference of RT due to sound sources affected the sound insulation such as apparent sound reduction index and sound level difference about 1dB at each frequency in unoccupied houses.

  • Pipe thinning is one of the major issues for the structural fracture of pipes of nuclear power plants. Therefore a method to inspect a large area of piping systems quickly and accurately is needed. In this paper, we proposed the method for monitoring pipe thinning. Our basic idea come from that a group velocity of impact wave is different as wall thickness. If the group velocity is measured, wall thickness can be estimated. To obtain the group velocity, time -frequency analysis is used. This is because an arrival time difference can be measured easily in time-frequency domain rather than time domain. To test the performance of this technique, experiments have been performed for a plate and U type pipe. Results show that the proposed technique is quite powerful in the monitoring pipe thinning.

  • 자동반송 장비의 주행축에 적용되는 횡자속 선형전동기는 위치제어를 목적으로 한다. 위치제어는 자동 반송 장비가 최소구동시간에 최대의 생산을 할 수 있도록 성능이 우수한 구동프로파일을 사용하게 되는데, 어떤 종류의 구동 프로파일을 적용하느냐에 따라 시스템 전체의 응답 속도는 물론이고 진동과 소음을 최소화하여 전체 시스템의 성능을 좌우하게 된다. 일반적으로 사용되는 사다리꼴 속도 프로파일은 변화가 일정한 가감속 전류를 필요로 하고, 전체 구동시간이 짧아 간단한 시스템에 널리 사용되고 있지만, 가속의 끝점과 감속 구간의 시작점에서 급격한 속도 변화에 따른 져크(Jerk)가 발생하여 기구부에 충격이 가해지며, 이로 인한 진동과 소음을 유발해 순간적으로 큰 동적 에러를 발생시킨다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 부드러운 속도 프로파일을 가지며 운동의 시작점과 끝점에서 '0'의 가속과 져크를 가지는 고차원의 구동 프로파일을 제시하고 횡자속 선형전동기에 적용하여 소음 특성을 분석하였다.

Effects of ultrasonication intensity and shaking time on the rheological behavior of alumina slurries with maltodextrin (말토 덱스트린 첨가 알루미나 슬러리의 유동특성에 미치는 초음파 처리 강도와 진동 시간의 영향 검토)

  • The rheology of alumina slurries with maltodextrin was studied with different processing routes using experimental design and statistical analysis. Different processing routes include maltodextrin addition, different ultrasonication intensity applied to the slurries before or after adding maltodextrin, and shaking time. Viscosities of the slurries showed shear thinning behavior and were correlated with the Ostwald-de-Weale model. The viscosities of alumina slurries decreased with the addition of maltodextrin and increased with ultrasonication intensity. There were little differences in the viscosities of the slurries depending on whether maltodextrin was added before or after ultrasonication.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the frequency characteristics of forced vibration considering the vehicle progress. And the vibration characteristics in frequency domain that occur, when vehicle passes the bump, were analyzed. The responses such as displacement, velocity and acceleration were obtained through numerical analysis, and FFT processing was performed to analyze the frequency response function(FRF) characteristics. In particular, the location of vehicle eigenmodes and external excitation modes was clearly shown and analyzed. In the forced vibration model by external force, the behavior of the eigenmode in power spectrum and real and imaginary parts were also analyzed. The mode characteristics were also analyzed in each FRF. It was approximated by assuming total excitation force by considering the exciting frequency using impulse and sine wave forces, which can give the amplitude and frequencies. The response characteristics of forced oscillations having different mass, damping and stiffness have been systematically discussed.

  • Researches for time delay estimation had been studied broadly. However studies about factors for time delay estimation are insufficient, especially in case of real environment application. In 1997, Brandstein and Siverman announced that performance of time delay estimation deteriorates as reverberant time of room increases. Even though reverberant time of room is same, performance of estimation is different as the specific part of signals. In order to know that reason, we studied and analyzed the factors for time delay estimation using speech signal and room impulse response. In result, we can know that performance of time delay estimation is changed by different R/D ratio and signal characteristics in spite of same reverberant time.

  • A computer experimental model for analyzing the microstructures and properties of vibratory deposited power compacts was developed. The effects of some significant variables such as amplitude, frequency, cycle, etc. on the change of diffraction patterns and packing densities of the deposited powder compacts were examined. In addition, the condition of phase transition from non-crystalline phase to crystalline one was determined. Data obtained from the present method quite well fitted the empirical correlations for real experimental data. In conclusion, the present model is so useful to investigate the densification and ordering of vibratory compaction.

  • This study is focused on the structural dynamic responses, i.e., vibration analysis results of the high-accuracy observation multi-axial camera, which is installed and operated for the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and helicopter etc. And, the authors newly suggest a modeling technology of the ball bearing applied to the camera by using three-axis spring elements. The vibration analysis results well agreed to the randum vibration test results. Also, the vibration responses characteristics of the multi-axial camera through the time history analysis of the random vibration were analyzed and evaluated. The above results can be applied to the FE-modeling of the ball bearings used for the space cameras.

  • In this paper, main effects of bridge vibration were investigated by arranging static and dynamic test data on 30 highway bridges. The test were conducted using displacement transducers and strain gages attached at midspan of each bridges over which a heavy test vehicle was running. Then, vibrational characteristics of the bridges were obtained in the time domain analysis by distinguishing the forced and free vibration state. The results obtained in this paper will be used properly to simulate the vibrational behaviour of the bridges which is in the state of the beginning in the domestic.
