Vibrational Characteristics of the Deteriorated Railway Plate Girder Bridge by Full-scale Experimental Modal Analysis (Full-scale 실험 모드해석을 이용한 노후화된 철도판형교의 진동특성)

  • In this study, experimental vibration tests are performed on a real full-scale railway steel plate girder bridge, which resides in open-space environments. Using experimental modal analysis techniques, the modal parameters of the railway steel plate girder bridge yielded by the modal testing of the impact hammer are compared and investigated with the natural frequencies and mode shapes obtained by finite element analysis. This work focuses on the application of model updating techniques to measured experimental data and output-only data from an analytical vibration study that takes into account various geometric and material properties of the bridge members. A finite element model of the railway bridge structure is used to verify the modal experimental results. It is subsequently updated using the corresponding modal identification technique. The basic database is provided to evaluate damage, which can be determined based on the changes in the element properties, resulting from the process of updating the finite element model benchmark and experimental data.

  • In this paper the nonstationary response of accelerating vehicle is firstly obtained by using nonstationary road roughness model in time domain. To get the result of nonstationary response in frequency domain, the maximum entropy method is used for Processing nonstationary response of vehicle in frequency domain. The three-dimensional transient maximum entropy spectrum (MES) of response is given.

  • 최근년의 철도차량의 동향을 살펴보면, 고속경량화와 더불어 차체강도 및 진동특성 등이 중요 시됨에 따라 안전운행을 위하여 제작된 차량의 실제강도가 설계치의 허용범위내에 있어야 하 므로, 우리나라에서도 차량안전성차량을 위하여 전기제한 스트레인 게이지를 이용한 능력해석을 개발하여 성능평가에 도입할 수 있게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 선진외국과 같은 방식의 스트레인 게이지 법을 사용하여 전동객차의 차체 및 대동수 측정에는 가속도계와 스트레인 게이지를 transducer 로 사용하여 진동특성을 기록 및 분석하고, 안정성을 평가하였다.

  • In order to evaluate the vibrational characteristics of huge finite element models such as ships and offshore structures, it is essential to perform eigenvalue analysis and frequency response analysis. However, these analyzes necessitate excessive equipment and computation time, which require the development of a high-performance analysis program. In particular, a considerable computational analysis time is required when calculating the inverse matrix in a linear system of equations and analyzing the eigenvalue analysis. Therefore, it can be improved by applying the latest high-performance library. In this paper, the vibration analysis program that enables fast and accurate analysis was developed by applying 'PARDISO', a parallel linear system of equation calculation library, and 'ARPACK', a high-performance eigenvalue analysis library. To verify the accuracy and efficiency of proposed method, we compare ABAQUS with proposed program using numerical examples of marine engineering.

  • 가전 제품을 비롯한 전기/전자 제품의 고부가가치화를 위해서는 제품 사용 환경의 쾌적함에 저해되는 요인인 진동소음의 발생을 최대한 억제하여야 한 다. 본 연구에서는 진동으로 인하여 발생하는 소음의 저하를 위한 연구의 일 환으로 부분 구조합성법을 이용하여 설계된 제품의 진동특성을 파악하고 진 동을 저하하기 위한 연구를 냉장고를 대상으로 수행하였다. 방진 마운트와 콤프레서 지지판의 최적 설계에 의하여 진동 및 소음의 저하에 기여함으로 써 적용한 연구 방법의 적합성이 인정되었으며 향후 다른 전기 전자 제품의 진동 소음 제어에도 기여할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

Pressure Drop Variations and Structural Characteristics of SMART Nuclear Fuel Assembly Caused by Coolant Flow (냉각유동에 의한 SMART 핵연료집합체의 압력강하변화 및 구조특성)

  • In this study, the pressure drop changes and structural characteristics of a SMART rod bundle under the effect of a coolant were investigated. The turbulence model of the BSL Reynolds stress model was used to model the coolant flow, and a fluid solid interaction simulation was conducted. First, fuel rod vibration analysis was performed to confirm the natural frequency of the fuel rod, which was supported by spacer grid assemblies, and this was compared with experimental results. From the experimental results, the natural frequency was found to be 48 Hz, and the error compared with the simulation results was 2%. The pressure drop at the rod bundle was calculated and compared with the experimental data; it showed an error of 8%, demonstrating the simulation accuracy. In the flow analysis, the flow velocity and secondary flow at different domains were calculated, and vortex generation was also observed. Finally, through the fluid solid interaction analysis, the fuel rod displacements caused by flow-induced vibrations were calculated. Then, calculated displacement PSD at maximum displacement happed point.

Free Vibration of Primary-Secondary Structures with Multiple Connections (다중 지지된 주-부 구조물의 자유 진동)

  • The frequency window method has been extended to include strong coupling and multiple connections between the primary structure and the secondary structures. The rational polynomial expansion of the eigenvalue problem and the analytical methods for its solution are novel and distinguish this work from other eigenvalue analysis methods. The key results are the identification of parameters which quantify the resonance and coupling characteristics; the derivation of analytical closed-form expressions describing the fundamental modal properties in the frequency windows; and the development of an iterative procedure which yields accurate convergent results for strongly-coupled primary-secondary structures.

Bending-Torsional Vibration Characteristics of Large Structures Influenced by Coupling Effects (연성효과에 의한 대형 구조물의 굽힘-비틀림 진동특성)

  • 대형선박, 항공기, 초고층 건축물 등은 얇은 박판 형태의 보로 이상화하여 구조 및 진동해석을 수행할 수 있다. 이러한 형태로 이상화한 구조물은 비틀림 강도면에서 매우 취약함을 보이고, 굽힘-비틀림 진동은 단면형상에 따라 연성도가 심화된다. 상하 굽힘 진동은 탄성거동 영역에서 도심과 전단중심이 일치하는 대칭 진동(Symmetric vibration) 현상을 보인다. 그러나, 수평 굽힘 진동은 도심과 전단중심의 차이가 커질수록 즉, 연성도가 높아질수록 비틀림 진동과 복합되어 복잡한 비대칭 진동(Antisymmetric vibration) 현상을 나타낸다. 본 논문에서는 연성효과에 의한 수평 굽힘 진동과 비틀림 진동 현상에 대한 연구를 수행하였고, 진동계산을 위해서 전달행렬법(Transfer Matrix Method)을 사용하였다. 수치계산은 첫번째로, 도심과 전단중심의 차이가 매우 작아 연성도를 무시할 수 있을 정도의 구조물에 대해서 일반적인 수평 굽힘 진동 현상과 비틀림 진동 현상을 연구하였다. 두번째로, 연성도가 매우 심할 경우에 굽힘-비틀림 연성 진동 현상을 Timoshenko 보의 이론과 Vlasov 보의이로네 따라 각각 계산을 수행하였다. 마지막으로, 첫번째와 두번째 구조를 결합한 경우에 대해서 굽힘-비틀림 연성 진동 현상을 연구하였다. 이 경우에 두 구조물의 결합부에서 비틀림 강성과 Warping 강성의 심한 변화로 인한 불연속 경계면이 발생하게 되고 이때의 진동해석을 위해서 보 이론에 기초를 두고 상당히 높은 정확도를 제공하는 Haslum[2] 등과 Pedersen[3]이 제시한 이론을 이용하였다.

  • A powerful analytical procedure and strain energy analysis to investigate the free vibration of antisymmetric cross-ply laminated plates, having one pair of opposite edges simply supported, are develped on the basis of the Yang, Norris abd Stavsky (YSN) theory. The equation of motion of the plate are solved by the use of collation method. A range of results are presented for plates to show the effects of modulus ratio and number of layers on natural frequency. In addition, an analysis of the strain energy distributions is used as an aid for the better understanding of the vibration characteristics of the plates.

Structural Analysis and Vibration Characteristics of Scaffolding Structures (비계 구조물의 구조해석 및 진동 특성)

  • This paper deals with structural analysis and vibration characteristics of scaffolding structures with a hoist according to payloads. In order to analyze the vibrational and structural characteristics for 20-step scaffolding structure, structural and vibrational characteristics for 2-step scaffolding structure were compared with some experimental results. The numerical results for natural frequencies of scaffolding structures have a good agreement with experimental ones. Through the numerical analysis, firstly, it is shown that the maximum stress of scaffolding structures is lower than von-mises yield criteria when four persons with total weight of 280 kgf are working at the top of the scaffolding structures. Secondly, vibration characteristics including natural frequencies and modes for scaffolding structures are shown in case of various kinds of moving masses.
