Convergence Evaluation of Indoor Air Measurement in Medical Institution (의료기관 실내공기 측정의 융합적 평가)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the indoor air quality of medical institutions and to present the detailed management plan by analyzing the actual situation of management and analyzing the difference according to the place in a convergent. ($PM_{10}$), carbon dioxide ($CO_2$), formaldehyde (HCHO), total aerobic bacteria (TAB) and carbon monoxide (CO) were investigated in 153 hospitals in Busan. As a result, The overall output average did not exceed the maintenance criteria, but the maximum values for each item were 91% for $PM_{10}$, 97% for $CO_2$, 96% for HCHO, and 99% for bioaesol. And It is confirmed that this is very close to the standard. In addition, the results of each place showed different values according to each feature, but there was no significant difference in the results of five measurements. In conclusion, Indoor air in medical institution considering the characteristics should be performed systematic and detailed management of ventilation facilities and energy problems.

Genetic Diversity of High-Quality Rice Cultivars Based on SSR Markers Linked to Blast Resistance Genes (도열병 저항성 유전자와 연관된 SSR 마커를 이용한 양질미 품종의 유전적 다양성)

  • The epidemics of rice blast which occurred in south parts of Korea during the period from 1999 to 2001 and damaged several high quality rice cultivars developed using "Milyang 95" and/or "Milyang 96" as a parent. Genetic diversity of 23 rice cultivars including "Milyang 95" and it's relatives was assessed using 54 simple sequence repeats (SSR) markers reported to be linked to major blast resistance genes. Fifty-four SSR markers representing fifty-seven loci in the rice genome detected polymorphism among the 23 cultivars and revealed a total of 170 alleles with an average of 3.0 alleles per primer, The number of amplified bands ranged from 1 to 7. Several SSR markers including RM249, RM206 and OSR20 were informative for assessing the genetic diversity of relatively closed japonica rice cultivars. The 23 cultivars were classified into four groups by cluster analysis based on Nei's genetic distances, and the cultivars developed from same parents showed a tendency to cluster together that is consistant with genealogical information. High quality rice cultivars, Daesanbyeo, Donganbyeo, and Milyang 95 belonged to the same cluster, At the loci, RM254 and OSR32, all of the cultivars derived from the crosses using "Milyang 95" shared same alleles, suggesting that these japonica cultivars might carry alleles that are identical by descent. Evaluation of 23 rice cultivars against blast needs to be confirmed regarding the relationship between genotype and blast resistance.p between genotype and blast resistance.

DENTAL ANXIETY OF SECOND GRADE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN PROJECTED IN THE DRAWING OF DENTAL TREATMENT SITUATION (초등학교 2학년 어린이의 치과치료장면 그림에 투사된 치과불안도)

  • The purpose of this study was to observe dental anxiety of second grade elementary school children projected in the drawing of dental treatment situation. The subjects of study were 213 school children. Questionnaire survey was done regarding their experience of pain and fear during the dental treatment and children's attitude toward the dental treatment and dentist. Drawings were analyzed using criteria modified from Dental Anxiety Scale(DAS) by Sheskin et al. The mean anxiety score was 2.00 and the range was from 0 to 6. The mean anxiety score was 2.82 in untreated children and 1.92 in treated children (P<0.05). The mean anxiety score was 2.00 in boys and 1.99 in girls. The rates of children who showed severe fear and pain of the subjects were 8.2% and 5.6%. The rates of children who showed slightly or definitely negative attitude for dental treatment and dentists of the subjects were 19.9% and 4.6%.

A study on the standard of healing forest size for application of forest area on wellness -focused on urban area- (산림의 웰니스적 활용을 위한 치유의 숲 면적 기준 정립 연구 -대도시 지역(특·광역시)을 중심으로-)

  • Forest area was applied as health promotion place for resident. Korea Forest Service set the term of "forest healing" based on the application of forest area as health promotion, which multidisciplinary approach in forest policy, and construct the "healing forest" for the healing space. Handicapped was excluded from the forest healing service as healing forest was located in the point away from urban area. The standard of healing forest size was difficult to set as urban forest area was fragmented. This study conducted on adequate standard of healing forest size in urban region. This study surveyed the laws related to the outdoor recreation place, and the walking range of the handicapped (elders, disabilities). The results were deduced with interrelationship between two factors(forest policy, human walking range). Healing forest size was not departmentalized for urban area compared with the standard of similar outdoor space (tourism complex, urban parks). Healing forest size was changed from 50ha to 25ha in national forest, from 30ha to 15ha in private forest considered with walking range of handicapped. This study contributes the evidence as the standard of healing forest size for health promotion in urban resident.

Delineation and Land Use Analysis of the Former Floodplains Isolated by Levees in the Cheongmi-cheon Stream, Korea (청미천에서 제방에 의해 격리된 옛홍수터의 경계 설정과 토지이용 분석)

  • For the restoration of lateral connectivity between channel and floodplain, it is important to find the former floodplain and to characterize its land use in streams which were channelized by the levee construction for the flood protection. The aim of this study is to map the former floodplains and to assess its land use pattern in the Cheongmi-cheon Stream, Korea. The former floodplains were explored by being overlapped on a digital elevation model (DEM), digital topographic map and design flood level using a geographical information system (GIS) in the Cheongmi-cheon Stream basin. The land use of the identified former floodplains was classified by land-use map. The total number of the former floodplains was 104 and their total area was $11.9km^2$ in the Cheongmi-cheon Stream. The land use pattern of the former floodplains was mostly farmland (87.1%). The former floodplains were usually surrounded by mountain forest in the downstream of the Cheongmi-cheon Stream. These former floodplains are probably suitable for restoration of lateral connectivity because of lower ratio of urban area but higher ratio of farmland. The results of delineation and land use analysis of the former floodplain can be used as a baseline data for planning stream restoration in the Cheongmi-cheon Stream.

Analyzing the Structure of Science Gifted and General Middle School Students' Values of Career: Social Network Approach (중학교 과학영재학생과 일반학생들의 직업가치관 구조분석: 사회네트워크적 접근)

  • Students' perceived values of career play a core role in formation of their career motivation. In particular, science gifted students should build sound values of career in science and technology so that our society can retain the human resources for future science and technology. This study compared and analyzed the structure of science gifted and general middle school students' preferred job and values of career using semantic network analysis. Methodologically, we first collected science gifted and general middle school students' preferred careers and the reasons of the career choice using survey method. Then, we structuralize semantic networks of students' perceived values of their preferred careers using semantic network analysis. We identified the characters of networks that two different student groups showed based on the structure matrix indices of semantic network analysis. Findings revealed that science gifted students considered the creativeness as the most important value of career. Second, science gifted students considered more diverse values of career than general students. Third, science gifted students considered the self-realization such as displaying capability as a core value of career in STEM and medical science whereas general students considered the community service as a core value of the careers. This study identified the significant differences between science gifted and general middle school students' values of careers. The structures of students perceived values of careers can be used for teachers to counsel their students about students' future careers.

Analysis of Crustal Deformation on the Korea Peninsula after the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake (한반도 지각의 2011 도호쿠 대지진 영향 분석)

  • The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) announced that an earthquake of 9.0 magnitude had occurred near the east coast of Japan on March 11, 2011, resulting in a displacement of the crust of about 2.4 meters. The Korean peninsula is located on the Eurasian tectonic plate that stretches out to Japan; therefore, there is a high possibility of being affected by an earthquake. The Korean GPS CORS network operated by the National Geographic Information Institute (NGII) was processed for ten days before and after the earthquake. Both static and kinematic baseline processing were tested for the determination of crustal deformation. The static baseline processing was performed in two scenarios: 1) fixing three IGS stations in China, Mongolia and Russia; 2) fixing SUWN, one of the CORS networks in Korea, in order to effectively verify crustal deformation. All data processing was carried out using Bernese V5.0. The test results show that most of the parts of the Korean peninsula have moved to the east, ranging 1.2 to 5.6 cm, compared to the final solution of the day before the earthquake. The stations, such as DOKD and ULLE that are established on the islands closer to the epicenter, have clearly moved the largest amounts. Furthermore, the station CHJU, located on the southwestern part of Korea, presents relatively small changes. The relative positioning between CORS confirms the fact that there were internal distortions of the Korean peninsula to some extent. In addition, the 30-second interval kinematic processing of CORS data gives an indication of earthquake signals with some delays depending on the distance from the epicenter.

The evaluation of useful on the additional PET/CT Liver scan (PET/CT 검사에서 Gastrointestinal Cancer 환자의 Liver 추가촬영에 대한 유용성 평가)

  • Purpose The liver one of the most common site for distant metastasis for a variety of tumor, especially of gastrointestinal origin. the purpose of this study was to analyze image quality between standard scan and additional liver scan. Materials and Methods From September 2015 to February 2016. 152 patients were examined undergo gastrointestinal cancer. 32 patients confirmed liver metastasis analyzed same liver ROI level and check the SNR, SUV and T/N ratio Results The $SNR_{mean}$ of standard was $17.7{\pm}10.3$; addition was $22.3{\pm}9.7$ (p<0.05). In $SUV_{max}$ of standard was $6.7{\pm}2.8$; addition was $7.6{\pm}3.2$ (P<0.05). and the T/N ratio of standard was $2.1{\pm}0.6$; addition was $2.5{\pm}0.8$ (P<0.05). Conclusion The $SNR_{mean}$, $SUV_{max}$ and T/N ratio were higher than those on the first scan (P<0.05). The SNRmean showed the highest change rate among the parameters. A additional liver scan is more favorable for the detection of gastrointestinal cancer patients.

Prediction of Optimum Fertilizer Rate for Flue-Cured Tobacco by Nitrogen Availability in Soils (토양질소(土壤窒素)의 유효도(有效度) 검정방법(檢定方法)에 의한 황색종연초(黃色種煙草)의 적정시비량(適正施肥量) 추정(推定))

  • Six analytial methods for determing the available nitrogen in soils were tested to predict the optimum fertilizer rate for the flue-cured tobacco and to test the fertility level of soils for tobacco. All methods, nitrifiable $NO_3-N$ value for 2 and 4 weeks incubation, UV absorption value at 260nm and N-value in acid digestion of 0.01 M-$NaHCO_3$ extracts, N-value extracted in boiling with $CaCl_2$ solution, and autoclave-extractable $NH_4-N$ value in 0.01 M-$CaCl_2$, were closely correlated with total nitrogen uptake as well as yield. Therefore available nitrogen indices determined from above 6 analysis method could be used for the predicting of tobacco yield without fertilizer, criteria for fertility class, and recommendable range of optimum fertilization.

Orographic Precipitation Analysis with Regional Frequency Analysis and Multiple Linear Regression (지역빈도해석 및 다중회귀분석을 이용한 산악형 강수해석)

  • In this study, single and multiple linear regression model were used to derive the relationship between precipitation and altitude, latitude and longitude in Jejudo. The single linear regression analysis was focused on whether orographic effect was existed in Jejudo by annual average precipitation, and the multiple linear regression analysis on whether orographic effect was applied to each duration and return period of quantile from regional frequency analysis by index flood method. As results of the regression analysis, it shows the relationship between altitude and precipitation strongly form a linear relationship as the length of duration and return period increase. The multiple linear regression precipitation estimates(which used altitude, latitude, and longitude information) were found to be more reasonable than estimates obtained using altitude only or altitude-latitude and altitude-longitude. Especially, as results of spatial distribution analysis by kriging method using GIS, it also provides realistic estimates for precipitation that the precipitation was occurred the southeast region as real climate of Jejudo. However, the accuracy of regression model was decrease which derived a short duration of precipitation or estimated high region precipitation even had long duration. Consequently the other factor caused orographic effect would be needed to estimate precipitation to improve accuracy.
