Estimation of Wage Differentials Caused by the Selection of Preferred Job (입직 과정에서의 희망직장 선택이 임금에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • It is well known that the quality of job match has strong influence on the efficient allocation of labor resources in the economy on the macro level and also on the productivity of individual worker. Regarding this point we assumed that the selection of preferred job at the job entry can be interpreted as a subjective indicator of job match quality and tried to estimate the effects of such selection on the wage level. For this purpose we suggested random effects switching regression model and applied this model to the data of the Korea Labor Institute Panel Study from 1998 to 2000. As the results of estimation, we found that there exists large wage differentials at least more than fifty percent caused by such selection. Considering the fact that such wage differentials can not be suitably explained by the traditional reasons of the wage discrimination, we suggest the possibility that there also exists large productivity gap caused by the job mismatch and the necessity of improving the job placement service activity.

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically identify the effect of women's motivation for choosing makeup colors on their perception of physical attractiveness and self-respect. Participants in this study were surveyed through questionnaires for 256 employees in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, and the collected data were analyzed in depth using statistical analysis methods of frequency analysis, factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results derived through a series of research procedures are as follows: First, the motivation for women in the workplace to choose makeup colors showed a statistically significant influence on physical attraction perception. Second, the motivation for women in the workplace to choose makeup colors showed a statistically significant influence on self-esteem. Third, office workers' perceptions of physical attraction had a statistically significant impact on self-esteem.

A Theoretical Analysis on the Demand for Education and Residential Location (교육수요와 거주지선택에 대한 이론적 분석)

  • We use the properties of competitive location equilibrium to study the relationship between the demand for education and the choice of primary residential location. Consumers can work and live in a comparatively high wage place where there are few education opportunities, or live in a place where education is available and commute to work. If education and employment are each location-specific, there are pooling equilibria in which consumers locate according to their preference for education. In general, the stronger the taste for education, the greater the attraction of living close to the education site and the lower the demand for other goods, including housing. Exploring the effects of the model parameters on the spatial distribution of consumers, we find that a higher frequency of trips taken to the education site, a shorter distance between the work place and the education site, or a greater out-of-pocket education cost each leads to a wider range of consumer types selecting to reside at the education location. We also find that a higher wage lowers the range of consumers who select to live near the education site.

Analysis of Urban Workers' Travel Pattern Choice Behavior (통근통행자의 통행패턴 선택행태의 분석)

  • The main objective of this research is to develop urban workers' daily travel pattern choice model. For this research, a hovel pattern choice model was empirically estimated by using a survey data collected from Kyongsan and Yeungchun City. For this research, a nested logit model structure was employed. For the model specification, it is hypothesized that urban workers' daily travel pattern choice behavior is represented by two stages of choices with single-destination or multi destination travel pattern choice as the higher stage, and the number of tours as the lower stage. The urban workers' daily travel pattern choice model developed in this research yields intuitively reasonable results. From the empirical results, it is found to be sensible to represent urban workers' daily travel patterns as the nested logit model structure Hypothesized in this research. furthermore, future directions of model development are suggested.

  • This study demonstrates the gender difference in the factors that affect job changes and the resulting wage changes in the recent Korean labor market. By using the KEAPS (2003-2007), we found that male workers uniquely tend to stay longer at their current jobs when they have families to support. After controlling self-selection bias, we also found that wage changes resulting from switching jobs differ between male and female workers during this studied period.

  • 본 연구는 서울대도시권을 대상으로 토지이용패턴과 통행수단선택간의 관계를 경헙적으로 분석하여 수도권 토지이용 및 교통정책에 시사점을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 다중 로짓모형을 이용한 분석에서 직장 및 주거빌도가 높을수록 전철과 버스 등 대중교퉁수단에 대한 의존도를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 직장중심지의 경우 버스보다는 자가용이용율이 높은 것으로 나타나 고밀도 정책이 반드시 대중교통수단으로의 이동을 의미하는 것은 아니라는 사실을 경험적으로 입증하고 있다.

  • This study investigates how the job satisfaction of the recipients with working ability is transformed into employment under the recent trends. The objects of this research are 15-19 years old. I used the data of YP2007. This survey were analyzed F-test by using SPSS PC win 12.0. This result maintain the importance about the policy of the recipients with working ability : (1) its bridging gaps between theory and reality, (2) focus on the Job satisfaction of the recipients with working ability, (3) developing new recipients with working ability education program, (4) elaborating the study methods. In this paper I describe one line of research focused on the job satisfaction of the recipients with working ability in view of their professional life as it is currently developed and expressed. This study also requires further studies and this study will be supplemented.

  • 20년 3월부터 본격화된 코로나 팬데믹은 전세계경제에 큰 충격으로 불확실성은 더욱 커져 경제생태계 대변혁의 시대를 맞이하고 있는 가운데 고령 인구의 증가, 생산인구의 감소와 더불어 20년 12월 기준 직장의 폐업과 정리해고, 경영부진 등 비자발적인 일자리를 떠난 사람이 19년 대비 48.9%(2020 통계청) 증가, 직장인의 퇴직 평균연령도 51.7세로 직장인 의지와 관계없이 조기 은퇴가 불가피한 상황이다. 한편 직장 근로자 10명중 8명은 창업할 의지가 있는 것으로 나타나 이제는 직장인의 창업은 선택이 아닌 필수로 인식하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 직장인의 기업가정신과 지속학습, 보상만족, 고용가능성이 창업의지와 어떠한 상관관계를 가지고 있는가를 조사하고 혁신행동이 매개역할을 하는지에 대해 분석하는데 있다. 본 연구에서는 직장 재직자의 기업가정신과 직장생활 과정에서 지속학습, 보상만족, 고용가능성이 창업의지에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구를 혁신행동의 매개효과를 중심으로 진행하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 재직자의 기업가정신과 지속학습, 보상만족, 고용가능성이 혁신활동을 증가시키고, 증가된 혁신활동이 창업의지에 영향을 미칠 것이라는 인과적 경로를 검증하고자 한다. With Corona의 불확실한 경제여건에서 조직은 생존을 위한 끊임없는 변화를 추구함에 따른 재직자의 고용불안은 가중될 것이며, 100세 시대를 준비해야 하기에 창업은 필수적 상황으로 창업의지를 종속변수로 설정하여 본 연구를 진행하였다.

  • 주경야독의 의지를 불태우는 회원사 및 회원사 임직원들에게 반가운 소식이 생겼다. 직장을 다니며 3, 4학년을 다닐 수 있는 길이 열렸기 때문이다. 이전에는 직장을 다니면서 주간의 4년제 대학에 편입하는 것은 너무도 먼 이야기였기 때문에 야간에 다닐 수 있는 유사전공을 선택해야만 했던 부담감이 있었다. 하지만 건축설비 전공으로 야간에 3, 4학년 과정을 다닐 수 있는 전공심화과정을 유한대학 건축설비과가 국내에서 유일하게 개설하여 건축설비와 관련된 학구열을 충족시킬 것으로 기대된다. 정기범 유한대학 건축설비과 학과장과의 질의응답을 통해 좀 더 자세한 정보 알아보았다.
