Relationships among Nursing Professional Values, Bioethics and Death Ethic Perception in Nursing Students (간호대학생의 간호전문직관과 생명 및 죽음에 대한 윤리의식간의 관계)

  • This study identifies the relationships between professional values, bioethics and death ethic perception in Korean nursing students. The study included 284 nursing students. Data was obtained through convenient sampling, adopting a cross-sectional design methodology. Professional values among nurses were significantly different according to occupational view (p<.001), ethical perception (p<.001) and ethical values (p<.001). Death ethic perception was significantly different based on ethical education (p<.05) and ethical values(p<.05). Positive correlations were found between nursing professional values, bioethics and death ethic perception, death ethic was significant predictors of professional values with an explanatory power of 15.0%. The findings of this study may assist in providing a detailed understanding of values among Korean nursing professionals, bioethics and death ethic perception.

Expansion of Private Tutoring Market for Adults according to Labor Market Changes and the Geographical Characteristics (노동시장의 구조 변화에 따른 성인 대상 사교육 시장의 성장과 공간적 함의)

  • This study attempts to investigate the spatial characteristics of private tutoring markets for adults which have been expanded rapidly with labor market changes in Korea. In particular, For the purpose, we examine thoroughly various indies of labor markets and private tutoring markets for adults in Korea in first and then analyze the spatial characteristics. We classify private tutoring institutes for adults into two categories by job-statuses and education levels, and analyze the spatial distribution patterns of the attendants of the classes. In order to understand the spatial characteristic of their distributions, we distinguish whether there exist the spatial autocorrelation or not by applying Moran's I values for each categories in first. We also examine the spatial cluster patterns by Hot spots analysis utilizing $G^*$ statistics. Multiple linear regression models are developed for each category to explain the relationships between the spatial distributions of private tutoring institutes and geographical variables.

  • 우리 사회에서 학벌주의는 여러 가지 사회 경제적 문제를 유발시키고 있다. 또한, 학벌주의는 과열 사교육비의 증가, 과도한 대학 입시 경쟁, 대학의 서열 고착화 등의 교육문제를 유발시키면서 공업교육을 비롯한 직업교육을 기피하게 하는 원인을 제공하는 등 교육 전반에 걸쳐 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 내포하고 있는 학벌주의를 극복하기 위해 노력하는 일은 우리 사회를 능력중심사회로 발전시킬 수 있는 계기를 마련해 줄 수 있고, 학습자들의 소질과 적성에 부합하는 진로를 선택할 수 있는 계기를 제공해 준다는 점에서 그 의의가 매우 크다. 학벌주의의 극복을 위한 대책의 효율적인 추진을 위해서는 무엇보다도 다양한 사회 구성원의 학벌주의에 관한 인식을 정확하게 파악하는 연구가 필요하다. 더욱이 최근에 정부가 학벌주의 개선을 위한 다양한 대책을 구상하고 있는 현 시점에서는 그간에 논의된 이들 개선 대책에 관한 의견도 동시에 조사 분석할 필요가 있다. 이러한 필요성에 기초하여 이 연구에서는 우리 사회의 다양한 구성원을 대상으로 학벌주의에 관한 인식과 개선 요구를 조사 연구함을 주 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여 첫째, 사회의 다양한 구성원을 대상으로 학벌주의의 원인과 문제점에 대한 인식을 종합적으로 조사하였다. 둘째, 사회의 다양한 구성원을 대상으로 학벌주의의 개선 요구 사항을 종합적으로 조사하였다. 셋째, 조사 결과가 함의하는 시사점을 도출하였다. 연구 결과 학벌주의의 극복을 위한 실천 대책을 수립하는 과정에서 중시되어야 할 관점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학벌주의의 개념 정립이 필요하다. 둘째, 학벌주의는 다른 나라보다 우리나라에서 더욱 심각한 사회 문제로 접근되어야 한다. 셋째, 학벌주의 형성 원인에 대한 정확한 이해와 분석에 기초한 대책 수립이 필요하다. 넷째, 학벌주의의 원인은 교육제도 내에서보다는 사회 전반에서 구명되고, 그 극복 대책이 마련되어야 한다. 다섯째, 대증적(對症的)인 대책보다는 장기적이고 근본적인 대책 마련이 필요하다. 여섯째, 학벌주의 극복 대책의 지향점은 학습자의 올바른 진로정치의 계기 마련과 이를 통한 능력중심사회의 구현이 되어야 한다.

Selected Factors Associated with Formal and Informal Learning During the First Pregnancy (첫 임신 동안 정규와 비정규 학습과 관련되는 선택된 요소들)

  • 목적: 현 연구는 6-12주된 첫 아기를 둔 여성 152명을 대상으로 첫 임신기간 동안 참여했던 정규와 비정규 학습활동의 정도와 범위를 알아보기 위해 시행된 것이다. 설계와 방법: 연구를 위한 정보수집을 위해 다측면의 자가선택 연구도구를 사용하였고 4가지 구성개념을 측정하였다: 독립변수로 학습에 대한 성향, 학습을 위한 사회적 지지, 임신에 대한 기대, 그리고 종속변수로서 첫 임신 동안 정규와 비정규 학습활동의 참여정도. 또한 일반적 특성으로는 6가지 변수(연령, 인종, 결혼상태, 교육정도, 직업유무, 가족의 수입)를 측정하였다. 3개의 독립변수와 1개의 종속변수사이의 이변량관계를 측정하기 위해 단순회귀분석을 시행하였다. 일반적 특성과 종속변수와의 관계는 t-Test, Point Biserial, Spearman Correlation Coefficients를 이용해 조사하였고 임신 중 학습을 위한 설명적 모델을 유도하기 위해 다중회귀분석을 사용하였다. 결과: 연구결과 3가지 이변량관계가 모두 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다: 학습에 대한 성향($r^2$=.17, p=.001), 사회적 지지($r^2$=.27, p=.0001), 그리고 기대($r^2$=.17, p=.0001). 교육정도와 결혼상태는 강한 설명력을 가졌고 연령, 인종, 직업유무와 가족의 수입은 통계적으로 유의하였으나 설명력이 약한 변수들이었다. 임상과의 관계: 이러한 결과는 임신 동안 여성의 학습욕구를 만족시키기를 바라는 성인대상의 교육자들 만큼이나 건강관리제공자들을 위한 실제적인 관련성을 보여주고 있으며 또한 중요한 생활사인 임신 동안 자발적인 학습을 하려는 성인을 이해하기 위한 이론적으로 유용한 모델을 제공한다.

Evaluation of the Life and Job Satisfaction of Indie Musicians (인디 뮤지션의 삶과 직업 만족도에 관한 연구)

  • Academic interests have long left from the field of indie musicians, despite of their social and cultural values. This also means indie musician policies have enjoyed lack of evaluation. Main purpose of this study is to understand the indie musicians' environment, music activities and their job satisfaction by employing online survey method which were conducted over 105 Korean indie musicians. Survey results show that indie musicians feel the lack of performing facilities that can hold over 50 seats. Indie musician group with experience of 6 years and more has more chances of performing at big facilities. This group also tends to play more often, and earn more money from music activities. Also, analysis shows that satisfaction level of Indie musicians is affected by two factors - music activities and social reputation. From the results, we can conclude that indie musician policy needs to build grounds to harmonize supports from various field rather than play as a single supporter. Patriarchal attitude that government should do and can do everything is no more in effective at least in indie music field.

Factors Affecting on Medical Satisfaction in Multicultural Members (다문화 구성원의 의료만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • This study was a descriptive study performed to identify factors affecting medical satisfaction in multicultural members. The survey participants were 301 multicultural members in A city. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Independent t-tests, One-way ANOVA, and Stepwise multiple regression analysis with the SPSS 14.0 program. Stepwise multiple regression analysis revealed that the predictors of satisfaction among the medical staff were satisfaction with age and health insurance, which accounted for 28% of all variance. Predictors of satisfaction with the medical environment were age and jobs, which accounted for 17% of all variance. Predictors of satisfaction with medical expenses were multicultural form, educational level, and jobs, which accounted for 33% of all variance. These results suggest that we need to develop and implement strategies and programs that can enhance satisfaction with medical use among multicultural members.

Redesign of A College Educational Curriculum Based on National Competency Standards (NCS를 활용한 전문대학 교육과정 개편)

  • The introduction and application of NCS(National Competency Standards) into college education seeks for competency-based human resource development and management, which targets what to do rather than what to know in terms of employees' performing jobs, duties and tasks in their work environments. The focus of the study is to redesign an educational curriculum of the field of Advertising Production for college students from a perspective of NCS. The field of Advertising Production related competency unit groups, competency units and competency elements were selected followed by the process of developing the curriculum. Using survey questionnaires and FGIs, data were collected from advertising industry experts, field practitioners and college students. The redesigned NCS-based curriculum is expected to link college education into industrial needs for human resources and thus to enhance the quality of college education.

An Analysis on Scientifically Gifted Students' Image and Perception of The Engineering (과학 영재 학생들의 공학에 대한 이미지와 인식 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate what image and perception of the engineering scientifically gifted students have. For this, we conducted a survey of 182 students who are freshman or sophomore in science high schools. First, we analyzed the image of the engineering and science based on the survey. Second, we investigated the perception of the engineering and the need for engineering education. Third, we analyzed the attitude toward the engineering. The result of this study is as follow. We found that they perceived engineering positively as much as that they gave an affirmative answers to the most of questions about engineering and field of engineering. Even though engineering careers and fields of career are very important particularly for gifted students, they have not only lack of recognition and negative image of engineering but also a misconception. It seems to be due to the lack of opportunities for engineering education. In addition, gifted students have meaningful differences according to gender, grade level, future career group. In conclusion, compared to the importance of engineering for them, the image and perception and attitude of the engineering gifted students have were examined to be very lacking.

A Study on Teachers' Training Program Satisfaction of Population Education (인구교육 전문가 양성을 위한 연수 프로그램 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the teacher's training program satisfaction of population education. The subjects of this study were elementary and secondary teachers who participated the training in Korea National University of Education for 9 days, from Aug. 13th to Aug. 22nd, 2008. The instrument of this study was questionnaire including likert scales. The training program consisted of five sections: respect for humans, population, family, welfare, and teaching-learning methods and textbook development. Instructors were from supervisors of the Ministry of Education, curriculum experts, subject experts, and persons from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and so on. The result of the survey analysis in this study indicates that the level of the satisfaction about program composition, contents, and instructors was very high as 4.25 points, and both elementary and secondary teachers' textbook of the training were revised and supplemented by collecting trainee's satisfactory evaluation and experts' opinions.

Convergence Factors of Affecting Perception and Social Requirements of Dental Hygienists - Focused on Busan and Gyeongnam - (치과위생사에 대한 인식도 및 사회적 요구도에 미치는 융복합적 영향요인 -부산·경남 지역을 중심으로-)

  • This study aimed to investigate the perception on dental hygienists and convergence factors to affect social requirements on their roles so as to utilize them as the fundamental data to assist the common people to understand the occupation and roles of dental hygienists and expand their positive perception further. Upon the multiple regression analysis from 235 final analysis subjects who underwent survey from August 1st to 25th 2017 among 270 adults in Busan and Gyeongnam areas, the awareness level on the dental hygienists was higher as the education level was lower and quality of life was more positive. Requirements were increased more as the education level was lower, quality of life related to oral health was more positive, quality of life was more positive, and awareness level on the roles and knowledge of dental hygienists was increased more. Further programs and promotional plans should be continuously activated to establish the career roles and expand the awareness in every field including dental clinic practices, dental hygiene training, related groups, and so on.
