A Study on the Usefulness of NCS based Employment in Port Public Enterprise (항만공기업의 NCS 기반 채용 유용성에 관한 연구)

  • Being in the globally competitive environment, public port enterprises which accentuate on the employment of excellent talents to procure competitive advantage are introducing the NCS(National Competency Standards)-based employment system that focuses on job skills. This study mainly aims to analyze the actual status of NCS utilization among public port enterprises and its usefulness as well as performance. The appropriateness, efficiency, satisfaction, comprehensiveness and performance of the current NCS - based employment system were analyzed by using collected data from the recruiting officers and new employees as subjects. And eventually an improvement plan was suggested. The result of analysis shows that the appropriateness and satisfaction level of NCS - based employment system are generally high; while its effectiveness, applicants' recognition and acceptance level as well as performance are slightly higher. Moreover, the job capability and performance on the job of new employee selected by the NCS employment system were analyzed to be higher when the appropriateness and satisfaction level of that system is high. In order to establish NCS - based employment system, early formulation and implementation of job performance assessment system to evaluate the actual abilities and performance of job is necessary. This study suggested the NCS - based employment system is effective for public port enterprises to procure excellent talents, as well as being useful for job preparation of job seekers according to the job competencies requirement of the enterprises. Therefore, this study contributes to the proliferation of NCS - based recruitment system.

A Study on the Effect of Social Worker's Job Characteristics on Their Job Satisfaction (사회복지사의 직무특성이 직무만족에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The objective of this study examined the effect of job characteristics on the job satisfaction of social worker employed by 1st social agency, hospitals. Data were collected by 240 social workers. Based on Hackman and Oldham's(1975) theory of core job characteristics, this study was to defined other element of job characteristics, in social worker's duties, focused on moderating effect of self-confidence for job satisfaction, and compared to social worker's job characteristics between 1st social agency and hospitals. The results of this study were summarized as follows; first, job autonomy, feedback among Hackman and Oldham's 5 core job characteristics showed positive influence on job satisfaction. The other job characteristics found out significantly effected social worker's job satisfaction than Hackman and Oldham's 5 core job characteristics. Second, identities of social worker's job, cognition of professional level, necessity, and self-confidence variables were found to have a statistically significant strong relationship with job satisfaction of 1st setting social worker. The other side, necessity, self-confidence, sex, social worker's academic career variables positive influenced medical social worker's job satisfaction. Third, the moderating variables which had significant difference among social worker's working conditions. 1st setting social worker's self-confidence partial moderated the effect of job characteristics on social worker's job satisfaction. But, medical social worker's self-confidence not moderated the effect of job characteristics on job satisfaction. As a result, Social worker's job satisfaction depended on job characteristics and self-confidence. Therefore, to assure the job satisfaction, redesign for social worker's job characteristics, reinforced their self-confidence. Staff-development education program, supportive environment, supervision program is strongly recommended.

The Effects of Emotional Burnout, Resilience and Job Embeddedness on Organizational Commitment in Clinical Dental Hygienists (임상치과위생사의 정서적 소진, 적응유연성 및 직무착근도가 조직몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the associations among emotional burnout, resilience, job embeddedness, and organizational commitment, provide basic data for an effective dental care delivery system and manpower management, and promote organizational commitment in clinical dental hygienists. For data collection, convenience sampling was performed among dental hygienists working in Daejeon and Chungcheong and Jeolla Provinces from November 11 to December 30, 2019, and a self-administered questionnaire was used. Organizational commitment was positively correlated with resilience and job embeddedness and was negatively correlated with emotional burnout; emotional burnout was negatively correlated with resilience and job embeddedness; and resilience was positively correlated with job embeddedness. The factor most significantly affecting organizational commitment was emotional burnout, followed by resilience and job embeddedness. It is therefore necessary to give another consideration to a customized intervention strategy, which involves emotional burnout, resilience, and job embeddedness, in exploring a program that helps clinical dental hygienists maintain and manage organizational commitment efficiently.

A Study on Job of One Person Special Library (일인 사서 전문도서관의 직무 연구)

  • According to the 2007 Korea library yearbook, 162 out of 589 special libraries are one person libraries which means an individual librarian takes responsibilities of all librarian tasks. Due to its particularity and diversity, however, there is lack of research on special libraries compared to the other libraries and no job analysis for human resources to be effectively managed has been done. This study aims to understand the current status of one person library by investigating its tasks and frequency, importance, difficulty of its duties. This study also suggests plans to improve the job by analyzing its association with affiliated organizations of one person library.

Convergent Relationship between Job Stress and Oral Subject Symptoms in Office Workers (직장인의 직무 스트레스와 구강 자각증상의 융합적 관련성)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of job stress on oral subjective symptoms observed in office workers. A survey of office workers in the Gyeonggi-do area was conducted and data collected was analyzed using SPSS 21.0 program. The results showed that among the sub-scales of job stress, job insecurity, job demand, and positive organizational system had significant effects on dysmasesis (p<.01), gum bleeding and gum disease (p<.01), and halitosis (p<.05) as well as gum disease (p<.01), respectively. Therefore, it is considered that making an effective job stress management plan and predicting related oral subjective symptoms in office workers will help improve the oral health management of office workers and adult oral health management in general.

The Effects of Individuality, Relatedness on Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction in New Employees (신입사원의 개별성과 관계성이 조직몰입 및 직무만족에 미치는 영향)

  • This research is about the effects of individuality, relatedness on organizational commitment and job satisfaction. This research analyzed 140 new employees. We used four tools to assess the new employees: individuality scale, relatedness scale, organizational commitment scale and job satisfaction scale. The research was based on two questions. Question 1. Does individuality have any relation to job satisfaction and organizational commitment? Question 2. does relatedness have any relation to job satisfaction and organizational commitment? The results indicated a positive correlation between individuality and organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Results also showed a positive correlation between relatedness and organizational commitment and job satisfaction. According to the result of one way analysis of variance, the group which scored individuality and relatedness scoreabove the mean value best reflected the qualities of organizational commitment and job satisfaction.

  • 오늘날 기업들은 경영환경의 변화와 미래에 대한 불확실성 때문에 어느 때보다 신속한 환경변화에 대한 대응과 위기관리 극복을 위한 노력이 한층 더 중요성을 부각되고 있다. 선행연구들을 통하여 구성원들의 태도가 기업의 효율적인 경영에 중요한 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다. 따라서 기업의 경영효율성을 높여주는 조직유효성의 요소들을 어떻게 긍정적인 방향으로 높여 줄지가 기업의 중요한 과제라고 할 수 있다. 의료서비스를 제공하는 의료기관들도 급변하는 의료시장의 변화에 맞추기 위하여 기존의 관료적 조직 운영방식에 한계를 느끼고 새로운 변화를 모색하고 있다. 또한 의료시장의 개방, 영리법인 도입 등으로 환경이 급변하고 있어, 의료기관의 경영도 효율성을 강조하고 있는 추세이다. 그러므로 의료기관은 변화에 대처하지 못하면 도태될 수밖에 없으며 살아남기 위한 경쟁력의 원천은 신뢰에 바탕을 둔 조직력이라 할 수 있다. 그러나 의료기관은 관리체계가 일원화 되어 있는 일반 기업과 달리 의료진에 의한 권한체계와 일반 관리자에 의한 이원적 권한체계가 공존하고 있어 효율적인 조직 운영에 어려움이 있다. 그러므로 의료기관에서도 환경변화에 대응하기 위한 대응력을 높이고, 조직 구성원들의 업무 효율성을 극대화시키기 위해 조직을 바르게 관리하기 위한 필요성이 높아지고 있다.

A Study of Job Satisfaction According to Director's Leadership Style and Type of Decision-making Recognized by Child Care Teachers (보육교사가 인식한 원장의 지도성 유형 및 의사결정 유형에 따른 직무만족도 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of directors' leadership style and the type of decision-making on improving child care teachers' job satisfaction which is essential to operate high-quality nursing. The survey method was used for 184 child care teachers who work for child care centers. The collected data were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance and posteriori test to find out the differences in teachers' job satisfaction according to their recognition of directors' leadership and decision-making. The result showed that differences exist in child care teachers' job satisfaction according to the leadership and decision-making of directors as recognized by the teachers. The score of child care teachers' self-development, work, welfare & social stability related to job satisfaction hit the highest when directors' leadership type was efficiency-centered. Similarly, participatory decision-making type, which is the most ideal type, scored the highest in all sub-components of job satisfaction in the case of directors' type of decision-making. This implies that the directors who prefer positive leadership and democratic participatory decision-making type increase teachers' job satisfaction which will positively affect the child care centers' qualitative development.

Effects of Empowerment Perceived by Advertising Agency Workers on the Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment and Turnover Intention (광고대행사 종사원들이 인식하는 임파워먼트가 직무만족, 조직몰입 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this research is to specifically verify the influence of empowerment factors of employees working at an advertising agency on job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intention to suggest useful data for advertising agencies' efficient management of human resources. First, this study proved that as the importance of meaning and self-determination among the subordinate infrastructure factors of empowerment is emphasized, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment are increased. If the importance of competence and impact factors is emphasized, job satisfaction is increased. Second, as the importance of job satisfaction and organizational commitment is emphasized, turnover intention is decreased. Third, as the importance of the meaning factor among the empowerment's factors such as meaning, competence, self-determination, and impact, is emphasized, turnover intention is decreased. The result implies that the executives of an advertising agency should try to increase the influence of empowerment on reducing turnover intention by enhancing job satisfaction and organizational commitment.

  • This study aims to present basic directions and implications of the organizational culture and job performance by analysis of the causal path between the variables acknowledging the important role of the organizational satisfaction on the assumption that the organizational culture which is developed for improvement of the revenue officer's job performance by the taxation organization. In the results of analysis, the clan culture, hierarchy culture and market culture except the culture of innovation have positive effects on the organizational satisfaction, and the higher the organizational satisfaction, the higher efficiency of the performance of the tax administration affairs become, so the job performance becomes increase. This can be the results that the characteristics of the tax organizational culture which conducts the taxation administration affairs by the clan culture which is hierarchical and emphasizes the business performance through teamwork, and the market culture which emphasizes the results reflect the job performance. Therefore, the organizational culture that develops sense of ownership and being performed autonomously and responsibly should be created in order to increase the competitiveness in the organizations and to increase the job performance efficiently by the members of the organization to have worthwhile feeling.
