Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among nursing work environment, job embeddedness, and turnover intention in order to provide basic data for efficient management of human resources in nursing organizations. Methods: A cross-sectional, descriptive study design was conducted with 177 nurses who had worked for more than 6 months in five general hospitals on Jeju Island. A self-report questionnaire was used for data collection. Results: About 88% of the participants reported that they were considering a turnover plan because of overload in their jobs and poor salaries. Nursing work environment was significantly related to job embeddedness and turnover intention. Job embeddedness was significantly related to turnover intention. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis showed that factors affecting turnover intention were the organizational embeddedness factors of organization fit and organization sacrifice. Conclusion: The results indicate that nurses' turnover intention is associated with nursing work environment and job embeddedness. To reduce nurses' turnover intention and improve nurses' retention, nurse managers should improve the nursing work environment and consider job embeddedness, particularly in relation to the organization fit and sacrifice.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the association between work environment and positive psychological capital on job embeddedness in dental hygienists. Methods: Data were collected from 263 dental hygienists in the dental institutions. It was then assessed by mean of descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and a stepwise multiple regression analysis. Results: The impact of work environment was 3.35±0.46 points, positive psychological capital was 3.30±0.40 points, and job embeddedness was 3.34±0.47 points. The result of the stepwise multiple regression analysis indicated that work environment, positive psychological capital and clinical career predicted 45.7% (F=7.35, p<0.001) of job embeddedness. Conclusions: Therefore, it is necessary to improve working environment and to strengthen positive psychological capital in order to increase the degree of work commitment in dental hygienists, and to encourage long-term service.

Purpose: We examined the effects of cognitive flexibility, resilience, and professional quality of life on the job embeddedness of nurses. Methods: The participants were 120 nurses in three general hospitals. Data collection was conducted using self-report questionnaires from May 17 to June 2, 2022. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis. Results: There were significant differences in job embeddedness by experience of turnover (t=-3.15, p=.002). The factors influencing the job embeddedness of the nurses were compassion satisfaction (β=.44, p<.001), resilience (β=.24, p=.035), experience of turnover (β=.23, p=.002), and cognitive flexibility (β=.21, p=.027). It was found that 39% could explain job embeddedness. Conclusion: It is necessary for nurses' support programs to be related to the experience of turnover to enhance job embeddedness. The results indicate a need to develop a program for cultivating compassion satisfaction, resilience, and cognitive flexibility to improve job embeddedness.
Purpose : The purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting the degree of job embeddedness by examining role conflict among intensive care unit nurses, the nursing organizational culture, nurse-physician collaboration, degree of job embeddedness, to understand the relationship between these variables. Method : Participants are 148 nurses from two hospitals in the intensive care unit. Collected data are analyzed using independent t-tests, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson correlations, and multiple regressions using the SPSS 25.0 program. Results : The factors that significantly influenced the participants' job embeddedness are role conflict (𝛽=-.19, p =.015), innovation-oriented culture (𝛽=.26, p =.003), and nurse-physician collaboration (𝛽=.24, p =.002). The total explanatory power of these factors for job embeddedness is 44.5% (F=15.06, p =.001). Conclusion : This study identifies role conflict among intensive care unit nurses, innovation-oriented culture, and nurse-physician collaboration as important factors affecting job embeddedness.
Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate factors affecting the job embeddedness of workers in the manufacturing industry. Methods: The survey was conducted on 261 workers of the manufacturing industry in P city and Y city with the help of a structured self-report questionnaire, administered between June 10 and June 30, 2017. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, a t-test, ANOVA, a $Scheff{\acute{e}}s$ test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: There were significant differences in job embeddedness according to educational level, marital status, jobs and types of employment, satisfaction with salary, stress level, and the perceived health status of the subjects. There were significant positive correlations between role clarity of job demands (r=.45), leader member exchange (r=.48), recovery experience from job stress (r=.27), and job embeddedness. From the multiple regression analysis, the most significant factors affecting job embeddedness were found to be leader member exchange (${\beta}=.43$), recovery experience from job stress (${\beta}=.22$), and job demand (${\beta}=.15$). These variables explained 35.0% of the total variance in job embeddedness. Conclusion: In order to increase job embeddedness of workers in the manufacturing industry, it is necessary to prepare measures to increase job demand, leader member exchange, and recovery experience from job stress.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of job demand and recovery experience from job stress on job embeddedness among workers in the service industry. Methods: The participants were 223 workers from the service industry in P and Y Cities with the help of a structured self-report questionnaire, administered between July 10 and August 20, 2017. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, Pearson correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression. Results: There were significant differences in job embeddedness in terms of satisfaction with salary, continuous service, perceived stress level and the perceived health status of the subjects. There were significant positive correlations between role clarification in job demands (r=.55), recovery experience from job stress (r=.27) and job embeddedness. From the multiple regression analysis, the most significant factors affecting job embeddedness were found to be role clarification in job demands (${\beta}=.47$), recovery experience from job stress (${\beta}=.23$), and perceived stress level (${\beta}=.18$). These variables explain 34.0 % of the total variance in job embeddedness. Conclusion: In order to increase job embeddedness among workers in the service industry, it is necessary to prepare measures to increase recovery experience from job stress and to decrease role clarificationin job demand, and perceived stress level.

The purpose of this study was to provide nurses with the basic data to prepare nurses for systematic job embeddedness, job stress, and burnout in small and medium-sized hospitals and to identify any correlations. The data were collected between 1 November 2018 and 28 February 2019. The factors and general characteristics influencing the job embeddedness were found to be position (t=3.53, p<.001), total career (F=3.46, p=.034), current career (F=5.59, p=.004), and turnover experience (t=-1.72, p=.008). The job embeddedness was negatively correlated with the awareness of burnout (r=-.570, p<.001) and job stress (r=-.349, p<.001). Burnout (β=-.570, p<.001) and job stress (β=-.552, p<.001) had significant effects on job embeddedness (F=46.21, p<.001); the explanatory power of these variables was 34.9%. In other words, nurses in hospitals with fewer than 200 beds experienced higher job stress because they were exhausted. This suggests that it has a negative effect on job arrival, which is the intention to remain in the current organization. Therefore, it is necessary to manage exhaustion and job stress appropriately for the job.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of dental hygienists' cooperation and compensation satisfaction on job embeddedness through positive psychological capital, and to provide basic data on ways to improve the welfare of dental hygienists and the quality of medical services. Methods: From July 1 to 20, 2023, a questionnaire survey was administered to 206 dental hygienists via an online link. SPSS Statistics ver. 22.0 was used to conduct the frequency analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, multiple regression analysis and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: Factors influencing dental hygienists' job embeddedness were type of compensation satisfaction (β=0.362, p<0.001), intangible compensation satisfaction (β=0.190, p<0.001), cooperation between dental hygienists (β=0.178, p<0.05), and age (β=0.112, p<0.05). Positive psychological capital was found to have a complete mediating effect on work cooperation in the effect of dental hygienists' job embeddedness (p>0.05), and partial mediating effect on compensation satisfaction (p<0.01). As a result of the Sobel test, it was confirmed that it was statistically significant as dental hygienist work cooperation (Z=2.339, p=0.019), dentist work cooperation (Z=1.985, p=0.047), intangible compensation satisfaction (Z=2.286, p=0.022), and type compensation satisfaction (Z=1.980, p=0.048). Conclusions: In order to improve the work environment of dental hygienists, develop programs to improve positive psychological capital, secure access to education, and various related studies are needed.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the influence of public hospital nurses' psychological capital and nursing work environment on job embeddedness. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional survey was conducted from October 21 to 31, 2022. A total of 200 participants working at a public hospital in Gyeonggi-do were recruited. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires. Data were analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: The mean scores of psychological capital and nursing work environment were 3.32±0.60 out of 5 and 2.43±0.48 out of 4, respectively. The mean score for Job embeddedness was 3.14±0.72 out of 5. Psychological capital showed a significant positive correlation with nursing work environment and job embeddeness, and nursing work environment also showed a significant positive correlation with job embeddedness. The factors affecting job embeddeness of public hospital nurses were positive psychological capital, nursing work environment, and age. Conclusions: The results of this study suggest that in order to increase job embeddedness, it is necessary to develop education and programs that can strengthen positive psychological capital of public hospital nurses. In addition, the nursing work environment must be improved by providing appropriate manpower and resources.
This study was conducted to investigate the effects of job embeddedness on job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intention in the food and beverage division of hotels. In addition, this study sought to identify the effects of job satisfaction and organizational commitment on turnover intention. Based on the literature reviews, five hypotheses were tested: job embeddedness was positively related to job satisfaction and organizational commitment and negatively related to turnover intention and job satisfaction and organizational commitment were negatively related to turnover intention. The subjects evaluated in this study were employees of the food and beverage division of five or four stars hotels in Seoul. Five hundred questionnaires were distributed and 293 were collected from July 1, 2009 to August 31, 2009, using convenience sampling method. After removing useless questionnaires, a total of 250 questionnaires (five-stars hotel 177, four-stars hotel 73) were analyzed using the factor analysis, a reliability test, and structural equation modeling analysis. The results revealed that job embeddedness was positively related to job satisfaction (t=8.762), organizational commitment (t=5.364) and negatively related to turnover intention (t=-3.500). Therefore, hypothesis I, II and III were accepted. However, job satisfaction (t=-.933) and organizational commitment (t=-1.923) were not negatively related to turnover intention. Therefore, hypothesis IV and V were rejected.
