A Mixed Methods Research on the Job Burnout of Teacher Librarians: Focused on Mediating Effects of Job Engagement (사서교사의 직무탈진에 관한 혼합연구 - 직무열의의 매개효과를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting job burnout by analyzing the job burnout patterns and levels in teacher librarians and to empirically investigate the relationship among the effective factors. For qualitative research 17 teacher librarians were intentionally chosen and in-depth interview was conducted from September 5, 2018 to October 30, 2018. The in-depth interview shows that the factors affecting the job burnout of teacher librarians are the sense of belonging, professional identity, professional development opportunities, reputation of teacher librarians, social support and job engagement which defined as librarians' job specificity. For the reliability and validity of the measurement tools, six teacher librarians were primarily investigated from December 5, 2018 to December 7. After that a survey was carried out through the web questionnaire for two weeks from December 20, 2018 to January 3, 2019. A total of 305 copies were collected, all of which were used for the analysis. The results of the quantitative study are summarized as follows. First, concerning the job specificity of teacher librarians, the factors affecting job burnout were professional identity, reputation of teacher librarians, and social support. Second, concerning the job specificity of teacher librarians, the factors affecting job engagement were sense of belonging, professional identity, and social support. Third, as a result of verifying the mediating effect of job engagement in relation to job specificity and job burnout of teacher librarians, professional identity showed complete mediating effect and social support showed partial mediation effect.

  • 본 연구는 간호사와 간호조무사의 동기를 제고하고 효과적인 간호서비스 제공을 촉진하기 위해 의사와의 관계에서 간호사와 간호조무사가 느끼는 직무 및 대인관계의 갈등 정도와 원인을 파악하고자 수행하였다. 이를 위해 중소규모 병원에 근무하고 있는 간호사와 간호조무사 271명을 대상으로 직무 및 인간관계 갈등 정도, 원활한 의사소통 여부, 갈등 원인과 해결방법 등에 대해 설문조사를 실시하고 분석하였다. 분석 결과 의사와의 관계에서 간호사와 간호조무사가 느끼는 갈등의 내용과 정도는 대체로 비슷하였으나 의사와 간호직의 역할이 중복되거나 모호한 부분이 있다고 느낀다는 점에서는 간호사가 간호조무사 보다 더 많은 스트레스를 받고 있었다. 의사와 갈등이 발생했을 때 해결하는 방법으로는 간호사와 간호조무사 모두 적당히 피한다는 의견이 가장 많았다. 그 다음의 갈등해결 방법은 간호사와 간호조무사 간에 차이가 있었는데 간호사는 상대방에게 나의 의견을 따르도록 함, 노조를 통해 해결등의 순이었고, 간호조무사는 상사에게 해결하도록 함, 서로 조금씩 양보해서 타협함 등의 순이었다.

Effect of Ecosystem Factors on Job Satisfaction of Long-Term Care Worker -Focusing on the Home Care Worker- (생태체계 요인이 요양보호사의 직무만족에 미치는 영향 -재가급여기관 종사자를 중심으로-)

  • We attempted to provide a way to improve job satisfaction by analyzing the relationship between the factors influencing job satisfaction directly or indirectly by the ecological system factors of long-term care worker who provide elderly care services at home benefit institutions. In this study, job satisfaction was confirmed to have a positive (+) correlation with all ecological factors except for social and cultural environmental factors by setting the causal relationship between the social and social characteristics of long-term care worker and job satisfaction as dependent variables. The factors with the highest correlation with job satisfaction were social support, followed by family support, job conditions, trust in welfare policies for the elderly, self-efficacy, and self-esteem. Therefore, it can be seen that nursing care workers who recognize positive support from the surrounding social network and family surrounding nursing care workers and positively recognize job conditions are generally positive.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of organizational support level on job satisfaction and stress for local female civil servants. In the reality that women's social life is subject to various restrictions, social support for women is insufficient. Organizational support can be said to be social support that can increase work efficiency and productivity for workers. The study of improving the social status of female workers by understanding the level of social support and enhancing their work ability and performance is considered to be meaningful. Therefore, in this study, the effect of women's organizational support in the workplace on job satisfaction and job stress is verified empirically, and it is intended to be used as basic data to maintain stable job activities of female workers in the future.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the national generic competency standards for professional engineer and so improve the quality of Korean professional engineer into an international level. First, this study intends to develop the national generic competency standards for professional engineer that contributes to maintain and enhance the quality of professional engineers in terms of a linkage among education and training, qualification, and labor market. Second, this study aim to obtain the national generic competency standards for professional engineer that applies to reform the criteria of certification, testing, and interview of National Technical Qualification System as well as to develop the curriculum of engineering education and continuing professional development and the system of human resource management in corporations. As a result, a final draft of the national generic competency standards for professional engineer was confirmed to include 12 clusters of competency standards and 56 elements of competency standards.

  • In modern economic societies, individuals are governed by organizations and they managed their daily lives in one way or another. through such organizations. All activities of the organizations are carried out by the job performance of individuals. Job is a very important factor for both individuals and organizations. The study is the explore. the effect of job characteristics and organizational characteristics on the job satisfaction in the small- and medium- sized firms in Namdong und Banwool Area. Job characteristics and organizational justice were hypothesized to be positively related to job satisfaction. To examine the influence of job characteristics and organizational justice on job satisfactions, data were collected from 320 employees of the small- and medium- sized manufacturing companies in Namdong und Banwool Area. This research took independent variables as the core job characteristics of the job characteristic theory such as skill variety, job stagnation, job importance, autonomy, feed back, and organizational justice as distributive and procedural justice. As a result, I can make the following suggestions. First, The Results show that job characteristics and organizational justice were significant and important predictors of job satisfaction. Secondarily, to raise the job desire of organizational members, job must be designed in such a way that the members can highly recognize their job characteristics.

A Study on the Effects of Empowerment Perception Level on Job Satisfaction of Hairdresser (헤어 미용사들의 지각된 임파워먼트가 직무만족에 미치는 영향)

  • This study attempted to determine differences between the perceived empowerment level and job satisfaction depending on hairdressers' demographic characteristics and analyze the effects of their empowerment on job satisfaction. For this, a total of 310 hairdressers in Gwangju-Jeonnam and Seoul-Gyeonggi-do were chosen through convenience sampling, and then a questionnaire survey was conducted. The valid 277 copies were used for final analysis. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan's test, and multiple regression analysis were conducted using SPSS 15.0. The study results found the following: First, in terms of the subordinate factors of empowerment, the following four factors were found: meaningfulness, self-determination, competence, and impact. Second, depending on demographic characteristics (e.g., age, career, type of beauty salon, job title, punch-in time, monthly pay), a statistically significant difference was found between empowerment and job satisfaction (p<.01). Third, hairdressers' perceived empowerment level had a positive impact on job satisfaction (p<.01). In terms of the empowerment on job satisfaction by sub-factor, 'self-determination' was largest, followed by 'meaningfulness' and 'competence.' Therefore, beauty salon owners need to manage their business more efficiently by converging cosmetology and business management by expanding empowerment among hairdressers properly after recognizing the importance of hairdresser empowerment.

Investigation of Ultrasound Examination by Radiological Technologist (방사선사의 초음파검사업무 실태조사)

  • In this study, the actual condition of ultrasound examination was conducted for radiological technologist working across the country. The measuring tool of the study was a questionnaire, and it was targeted to radiological technologist engaged in ultrasound examination at medical institutions located across the country from February 01 to July 31, 2021. In consideration of the COVID-19 situation, 431 questionnaires suitable for research were analyzed using the SPSS/PC Ver 18.0 program using email and SNS in a non-face-to-face manner. The general characteristics of study subjects, ultrasound examination job characteristics, and job satisfaction factors were analyzed using descriptive statistics. As a result of analyzing the job characteristics of radiological technologist who perform ultrasound examination as overall job satisfaction, the overall job satisfaction was 3.30 ± 0.56. The job satisfaction level of radiological technologist performing ultrasound examinations was higher than the average of 3.0 points, indicating a higher job satisfaction level than the average. Since insurance coverage for ultrasound examinations started, many radiological technologists have been very interested in ultrasound examination work. Therefore, the Korean radiological technologists of Association and radiological technolgists engaged in ultrasound examination more attention and effort should be put into strengthening professionalism.

The Relationship of Career Indecision, Job Search Behavior and P-J/P-O Fit among College Graduates (대학졸업자들의 진로미결정 및 직업탐색행동이 개인-직무 적합과 개인-조직 적합에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of career indecision, job search behavior, and p-j/p-o fit among college graduates based on sub-scales of career indecision (lack of career information, lack of self-clarity, decisiveness, lack of necessity recognition, external Barrier). This study explored the effect of career indecision on job search behavior and p-j/p-o fit and the effect of job search behavior on p-j/p-o fit in longitudinal method. The main results were as follows: 1) Career indecision had negative effect on job search behavior and p-j/p-o fit. In other words, the higher career indecision level is, the less job search behavior is performed. And the higher career indecision level is, the lower p-j/p-o fit perception is: 2) Career indecision was connected with preparatory job search behavior and informal job search behavior: 3) Decisiveness of career indecision was connected with p-j/p-o fit and lack of self-clarity was connected with p-j fit. 4) Job search behavior was not connected with p-j/p-o fit. Thus job search behavior didn't have prerequisite for mediator between career indecision and p-j/p-o fit. The findings are discussed in terms of the implications for further research.

A Study on the Influence of Servant Leadership and Trust in Leader on Organizational Performance (서번트 리더십이 상사신뢰와 조직성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증적 연구)

  • In this study, an analysis has been conducted as to; (i) what factors affect organizational members trust in leader (ii) how does members trust in leader affect the variable of organizational performance in an organization. In order to attain the objective of this study, a model was established and also the hypothesis was verified on the basis of preceding studies. The findings of this study could be summarized as follows: 1. Servant leadership which is considered as preceding factors affecting trust in leader, were found to have a positive relation with trust in leader. 2. In connection with the role of trust, its mediator effect between its preceding factor and outcome variables was verified. As a result of the analysis, it was verified that servant leadership and trust in leader affected outcome variables not only directly but also indirectly through trust. 3. As a result of analyzing the effect that the trust in leader has on outcome variables, the trust in leader was found to have a positively significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior, organizational commitment and job satisfaction.
