Impact of self image and self-esteem on job satisfaction of 119 Rescue workers (119구급대원의 자기이미지와 자아존중감이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aimed to investigate the influence of self-image, and self-esteem of 119 Rescue workers in D city on job satisfaction. This research design was a descriptive study. Data were collected from November 19, 2012 to December 08, 2012, analyzed by SPSS 20.0 program. There were statistical difference between age, period of employment, position, and license and self-image. There were statistical difference between age, position, license and self-esteem. There were statistical differences between age, period of employment, position and job satisfaction. Job satisfaction was positively related to self-image and self-esteem. In the multivariate regression analysis, adjusted R2 value was 0.268. It is necessary to enhance the career and awareness of job satisfaction of 119 rescue workers.

  • In accordance with the analysis results on the questionnaires about the awareness of employees according to positions and educational backgrounds in a public health organization, this thesis suggests the basic data on the purpose of the efficient operation and improvement of working environment in a public health organization. Two answers of the questions that "there is a possibility for promotion in the organization" and "the unit section in organization which I work for has a well-designed structure of organization" showed respectively high points in the questionnaire. On the other hand, three questions like there is a resonable way to bind the organization up, completed mission and rewards are connected, and my salary is fit for the current mission showed high points among the questions about the awareness on the organization according to the positions.

  • Higher education has become a global phenomenon. Although existing research on the effects of education level have been carried out, most studies were conducted before the year 2000 in a western context. In addition, the research sample was collected mainly from the manufacturing and police sectors. Furthermore, previous studies did not consider various moderating variables. Therefore, this study investigated the direct effect of education level on job satisfaction and the moderating effect of the job position between them. To test the hypotheses, a cross sectional research design with data from a sample of 377 full-time nurses, medical technicians, and administrative staff in one hospital located in the Northern part of Kyunggi province was used. The results showed that the education level was positively related to job satisfaction and job position alleviated the positive relationship between the education level and job satisfaction.

  • This study involved a small business workers continuing education according to characteristics and job satisfaction by comparing the development of effective continuing education programs to improve workers' skills is to derive the key indicators. Job satisfaction than those below 40 in the 20s incentives, skills development, human resource management, organizational commitment was higher throughout the 20 to 30 units from 40 to 50 single professionals and young workers compared to their job satisfaction is higher, the number of years worked less than 5 years working in a different number of years than those in group incentives, skills development, human resource management overall significantly higher, rank in the lower position due to differences in job satisfaction was higher than the upper position, technical, administrative two trades was higher than Therefore, by improving job satisfaction in the workplace contributes to strengthening the competitiveness of enterprises and workers must strive to improve the quality of life.

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the unethical information sharing by information asymmetry. I will confirm the effect of ethical dilemma, unethical intention and behavior by the information asymmetry. A research method used the structural equations. The analysis showed causal relationship that ethical dilemma and unethical intention and behaviors by the information sharing. In particular, The ethical dilemma by position level showed different from the factor between dilemma and intention. As a result, the organization should manage differently ethical issue according to position level. The contribution in this study has expended an interpretation scope of broken windows theory from social science and explained a discriminative management of the ethical dilemma by position level from the practical view. A Future study should investigate an unethical behavior reduce by information security systems.

  • This study analyzed the effect of flight stress on job satisfaction and safety culture on 193 domestic civil airline pilots. As a result of the analysis, flight stress had a negative effect on job satisfaction, and pilots with low job satisfaction had a low awareness of safety culture. In particular, there was a difference in the effect of flight stress on job satisfaction and safety culture according to the airlines and rank of pilots. This suggests the necessity of developing customized stress management programs for each airline and pilot position. The study emphasizes the importance of managing pilots' stress and improving job satisfaction to reinforce the safety culture of the aviation industry. In addition, airlines should develop strategies to strengthen safety culture by reducing pilot stress and increasing job satisfaction. The result of this study is to be used as useful basic data for finding ways to manage pilots' stress and strengthen safety culture in the aviation industry.

A Study on the Professional Consciousness of Crew based on the Characteristics of Demography and On-board Working (선원 개인적 특성과 승선근무 특성에 따른 선원직업의식에 관한 연구)

  • This study examined the significance of the crew's professional consciousness and sought to clarify the differences in the professional consciousness of crew by considering biographical characteristics of the crew and onboard working situations, which were expected to influence the professional consciousness of crew. The empirical analysis showed the crew's individual characteristics such as age, marital status, position in ship organization and nationality significantly influenced professional consciousness. The comparison in the differences of professional consciousness level among crew's nationalities showed that the professional consciousness of Filipino crew was the highest, and in the descending order of Indonesia, Myanmar, Chinese, and South Korea. The analysis results of other variables of on-board working characteristics showed that as crew's satisfaction of welfare increased, crew's professional consciousness increased, whereas the feeling of isolation from home and society had a statistically significant negative (-) impact on crew's professional consciousness. Furthermore, the analysis of multinational crew manning characteristics stated that cross-cultural acceptance did not have a statistically significant impact on the crew's professional consciousness, while cross-cultural adaptability had a statistically significant impact. This study emphasize the importance of the crew's professional consciousness and suggest how to enhance it, which allows crew to continue their career with the charm and pride of their profession.

The Effects of Internal Marketing Activities by Contracted Food Service Management Company (위탁급식전문업체의 내부마케팅 전략에 관한 효과분석)

  • The purpose of this study were to a) clarify the current practice of internal marketing by contracted food service management companies, b) analyze the effectiveness of current internal marketing practices. The survey was conducted between October 12 and November 2, 2002 with the 10 contracted food service management companies; 6 large, and 4 small & medium sized companies. No significant difference was existed with the categories of internal marketing. However significant differences were existed with the service education, sanitary education, periodic interviews, rewards for best employees, incentive payments, paid -leave allowances, job function allowances, and position classes including unit manager, dietician and cook of MBO. The actual administration of internal marketing strategies showed that, the significant differences were existed with education, paid-leave, and employee welfare systems among position classes. Also the significant differences were existed with all categories of internal marketing between large and small & medium sized companies. In general, small & medium sized companies score of the internal marketing performance was lower than that of large sized companies. Therefore, the segmented internal marketing strategies depending on the analysis not only demand for employees but also the size of company, were required to be an effectively and efficiently managed contracted food management companies.
